Stone Power and Power Attack [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-25-07, 07:27 PM I was wondering something. If a character has both the Power Attack and Stone Power (Tome of Battle) feats, when u take the penalty to hit (lets say -5 to hit) do u get both the 10 temp HP and the 5 added str dmg to attack? Or do u have to do both seperately (-5 for Stone Power, -5 for Power Attack, for a total of -10 to hit)?

It would be nice if its both, but i seriously doubt it...the powergamer in me is crossing his fingers.

Depending on how high your opponent's AC is, it might be worth it to take as many penalties as possible. If you only hit on a 20, then you can go ahead and take -15 to your attack roll because you'll still hit just as often.

You can fight defensively and use combat expertise at the same time. See the PHB pg 140, under "Fighting Defensively."

You are -10 to hit.

If you also do Combat Expertise -5, +5 to AC then you become -15 to hit.
