| coolpenguin41008-18-07, 06:14 PM | I've done a search for this and came up with nada, which frankly surprises me. The Strom Bolt reserve feat does not allow a reflex save (according to RAW). This seems odd when compared to other reserve feats that do similar damage and do allow a save. Now, I'm playing a Spirit Shaman 6/Strom Lord 2 (Compete Divine) and am looking forward to taking this feat next level and throwing lightning bolts around with impunity. The only restriction I can see for this feat is that it does not allow you to change the size of the bolt (20 ft). Does this imply that it's balance because there's a chance you hit allies if you're not careful? That doesn't seem right to me. As long as I keep Call Lightning Storm prepared, I can do as much damage, with no save, any number of time per day. Opinions? |

| Nezkrul08-19-07, 01:23 PM | the writer forgot to include the save and the editor missed it. It was on the website for a while... but they haven't actually issued errata for the feat, yet, to include one. So, RAYW. |

Answer Not all reserve feats allow a saving throw, but Storm Bolt should have one. Add this after the second sentence of the Benefit entry of the feat: "A successful Reflex saves halves the damage." This has been approved by the good folks that make the game and will be covered in an errata at some point in the future. Until then, we advise that you apply this fix to the Storm Bolt feat. |
