Stunning Fist and Monk PrCs [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-26-07, 12:26 PM I'm sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find it.

Monks get to use Stunning Fist 1/day per class level. Do prestige classes that grant "Monk Abilities" need to specify that they do the same? What if Stunning Fist is one of the prerequisites for the class?

02-26-07, 12:39 PM Unless it specifically says that the PrC counts as Monk levels for the purpose of Stunning Fist per day, it doesn't.

02-26-07, 04:45 PM There are no PrCs that grant monk abilities. Each PrC grants their own abilities. Many PrCs geared towards monks either grant (and level stack) or add to (only if already possessed) abilities that monks have. Each one must specify what abilites they grant.

They need to specify.

02-27-07, 12:49 PM Remember, though, that non-monk levels do grant you additional uses of Stunning Fist - just at a slower rate than monk levels (1 for every 4 non-monk levels).
