| EpicEvokerElf05-25-07, 05:12 PM | Can somebody help me? I'm looking to find all of the feats that use or modify stunning fist (with a summary of what they do, if possible) and where they're from. If you find one, please mention it, I'll give you a :cookie: if you want. At least, I'll be eternally grateful. Please post them like this: Stunnning Fist (PH 101): Stuns target for 1 round. (Name (Book page #): Effect in short.) Once again, you can have a :cookie: if you want. It doesn't matter if it's already been posted, just put the feat down here WITH SOURCE. Thanks, :monk: |
| Warlawk05-25-07, 06:42 PM | Pain Touch complete warrior 103 Axiomic Strike complete warrior 96 Fists of Iron Complete Warrior 98 Freezing the Lifeblood Complete Warrior 99 Rapid Stunning Complete warrior 104 Weakening Touch Complete warrior 106 More to come in a moment... Extra Stunning Complete warrior 98 Choke Hold OA 61 (has stunning as prereq, but is not directly related) Falling Star Strike OA 62 Unbalancing Strike OA 66 Probably a lot more out there, but those are the only books I own which are relevant. Happy Monking! |
| TheDanishCartoonist05-25-07, 07:55 PM | Off the top of my head, Ability Focus, SRD or MM I, increases save DC. |
| EpicEvokerElf05-25-07, 08:06 PM | Thanks, here's your cookies :cookie::cookie:. Can somebody tell me what the OA feats do? |
| Eric88805-26-07, 05:53 AM | There is also a feat from the book of exalted deeds that increases the DC on stunning fist by two. |
| EpicEvokerElf05-26-07, 04:17 PM | No :cookie: without a name, sorry. But thanks anyway. |
| Iarmeister05-27-07, 05:02 AM | Pharaoh's Fist from Sandstorm. Don't know what page, but it's awesome; think Stunning Burst. |
| Muktar05-27-07, 06:00 AM | I don't think that Ability Focus changes the DC of the stunning fist since the ability comes from a feat and not a special attack. |
| Peregrine_Wolf05-27-07, 11:13 AM | Ascetic Rogue-106-Multiclass Monk and Rogue for Stun DC and other fun stuff. Ascetic Hunter-105-Stun DC against Favored Enemy is increased. Both are in Complete Adventurer Also, in Races of the Wild, there are Halfling Monk substitution levels. And, if you feel like trying it out, I built a variant Monk class on teh class forum, if you read into the Elemetental Strike class ability, that is fun for stun(lol I rhymed). The class is Elemental Striker (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=833628) Cheers |

| Iarmeister05-29-07, 02:20 AM | I don't think that Ability Focus changes the DC of the stunning fist since the ability comes from a feat and not a special attack. IIRC, the Stunning Fist is a special attack. |
| Egres05-29-07, 09:26 AM | I don't think that Ability Focus changes the DC of the stunning fist since the ability comes from a feat and not a special attack. Check out the FAQ: it explicitely allows it. |
| EpicEvokerElf05-29-07, 05:49 PM | Ability focus works. Here's your :cookie::cookie::cookie:s. Oh, and Pharoah's Fist does sound really cool. |
| Mindwarp05-29-07, 06:18 PM | Paralyzing Fists (Drow of the Underdark 51) |
| Threefists05-30-07, 11:43 AM | I know there is a feat in one of the D&D Mags called Pressure Point Strike...gimme a second..."Dragon #336", or here at http://realmshelps.dandello.net/cgi-bin/feats.pl?Pressure_Point_Strike,Dragon There is also the Ring the Golden Bell feat from "Dragon #319" that allows ou to make ranged attacks with your unarmed damage. |
| EpicEvokerElf05-30-07, 07:40 PM | Here's your :cookie: threefists, thanks for the link. Mindwarp, can you give me a summary? |
| Kouk05-31-07, 08:44 AM | Sandstorm Pharoah's Fist: Stunning attack at all adjacent targets Rattlesnake Strike: Your punch can deliver con poison Serpent Fang: Stunning Attacks get +5ft range. Ghostwalk Forceful Staff Style: You can use Stunning Fist with a quarterstaff Champions of Valor Sun Soul Monk: You can use Stunning Fist to power some turn undead abilities. Dragon Compendium Ring the Golden Bell: You can deliver anything you normally can do with Stunning Fist at range based on your WIS modifier. Kung Fu Genius: Use INT modifier in place of WIS modifier (which would affect DC of SF) |
| Fallenangel35905-31-07, 09:54 PM | while not directly related but soulwarp strike (complete mage) is simular to stunning fist, and is a monk substitution level essentially the same, but instead of stunned, its nauseated (which is weaker), but on a pass they are sickened so it sucks for them pass or fail |
| EpicEvokerElf05-31-07, 10:18 PM | Thanks all, here's your :cookie: Kouk. It rhymes! Fallenangel: No cookie, but thanks anyway. You're right; it sucks. Any Exalted ones out there? |
| OrganicAngelAlexiel06-05-07, 08:14 PM | Any Exalted ones out there?Vow of Nonviolence adds a +4 to any spells you cast or special abilities you possess against humanoid or monsterous humanoids, as long as you don't "hurt" them, and specifically says that it does benefit stunning fists. Though it requires Sacred Vow, and for you to play an Exalted character, and not to cause or allow harm to come to any humanoid or monsterous humanoid. Do you really want that? |
| InkBlot06-05-07, 11:47 PM | Falling Star Strike, from Tome Of Battle. It allows you to use Stunning Fist with a strike, and increases the DC. |
| Aryxbez06-06-07, 12:08 AM | With Rapid stunning, + Pharaohs Fist, and Rattlesnake strike, it makes a decent combo both effect wise and cool wise. As the monk concentrates enough Ki to shoot it out 10ft, then when hitting it's target, explodes potentially stunning the others. Rapid Stunning, (Complete Warrior) every time you take feat, can apply the stunning extra time in the same round, so you could stun twice a round Pharaohs Fist (Sandstorm pg 51) people adjacent may be stunned as well Rattlesnake strike (Same book and page as above) Stunning attacks poison your foe 1d3 con |
| Kouk06-06-07, 12:17 AM | Falling Star Strike, from Tome Of Battle. It allows you to use Stunning Fist with a strike, and increases the DC. I think you mean Falling Sun Attack, which does as you say. The feat Falling Star Strike is from OA, and lets you blind an opponent. |
| InkBlot06-06-07, 03:43 AM | Right. Sorry. I did in fact mean Falling Sun Attack. Somehow I always get it confused with Falling Star Strike, despite never actualy reading any Oriental Adventures rulebook. |
| Sabni06-06-07, 04:23 AM | Also, if you use the Monkey Grip feat (complete warrior), then you can weild fists one size category larger. Small to medium, medium to large, etc. |
| Kouk06-06-07, 04:42 AM | Also, if you use the Monkey Grip feat (complete warrior), then you can weild fists one size category larger. Small to medium, medium to large, etc. I guess the rules don't say you have to use your own fist.... |
| Steely_Dan06-06-07, 06:56 AM | Also, if you use the Monkey Grip feat (complete warrior), then you can weild fists one size category larger. Small to medium, medium to large, etc. Monkey Grip and powerful build do not increase your unarmed damage. For that, take: Improved Natural Attack Empty Hand Mastery |
| darkdragoon06-06-07, 08:43 AM | Magic of Incarnum Sapphire Fist: bonus to damage and save DC |
| Steely_Dan06-06-07, 08:54 AM | Magic of Incarnum Sapphire Fist: bonus to damage and save DC Oh yeah, good call. I have an Aasimar incarnate 4/monk 5 NPC with Sapphire Fist – love incarnum! |
| pupilofyah06-08-07, 12:04 AM | I don't think that Ability Focus changes the DC of the stunning fist since the ability comes from a feat and not a special attack. think again. many feats are speacial attacks |
| EpicEvokerElf06-10-07, 07:51 PM | Here's your :cookie:s. Wow, that's a lot of feats! |
| EpicEvokerElf06-15-07, 11:00 PM | I'll give the cookies out one by one. Here they are! :cookie::cookie::cookie::cookie::cookie: :cookie: |
