| Druss_of_The_Sword01-12-08, 07:37 PM | i was wondering if anyone had seen anything or could make a set of feats like the Ascetic feats to boost the usefulness of outside classes with Tome of battle classes. Kinda like Sublime Thief Prerequisites-Discipline focus(any) and sneak attack +2d6 Class levels for Swordsage and Rogue stack for the purposes of detirmining the effects of Sneak attack and Displine Focus. So anybody willing to take this up? Or am i just being stupid?(dont be afraid to say i am) |
| dman1123501-12-08, 08:17 PM | Actually, you can take this feat straight swordsage. Assassins stance gives you +2d6 SA, so it's cheese. This is not necessarily a bad idea, as rogue and swordsage work well together, but usually these types of feats are for classes that don't work well together. |
| Salla01-12-08, 08:20 PM | Tome of Battle is so multiclass friendly that it simply doesn't need patch feats. |
| Druss_of_The_Sword01-12-08, 08:22 PM | I see what you mean. But when they can work better i try it. and monks can do it so uber-monks should be allowed. |

Yes, but monks need the multiclass-patch feats because they aren't multiclass-friendly (see: the restriction) and, well, they suck. ToB classes do neither. :) |
| Druss_of_The_Sword01-12-08, 08:28 PM | too too true. love tome of battle. greatest book ever. i just have a side question though. whats better for rogue a warblade or swordsage. hes a swashbuckler 2 rogue 7 |
| dman1123501-12-08, 11:59 PM | Swordsage hands down. I mean, it's already part rogue. What you need to do though is take one more level of swashie and take Daring Rogue or Outlaw or whatever first. |
| InkBlot01-13-08, 12:02 AM | First take that 3rd level of Swashbuckler to get Int to damage. After that, it's really a toss-up. It depends entirely on what you want to do, and how you want to do it. Warblade and Swordsage are well balanced with each other. |
| zerombr01-13-08, 01:14 AM | I think I could use a patch feat though my char is Paladin/Crusader (focusing more on Crusader naturally) I'd love for my lay on hands to increase by my CRU levels, and my smite option too anyone know of a feat that may do something like that? |
| Mad_Jack01-13-08, 07:40 PM | whats better for rogue a warblade or swordsage. hes a swashbuckler 2 rogue 7 If you're looking for just straight combat ability or greater HP, go for Warblade... But otherwise, Swordsage is like the Rogue's angry twin brother. Swordsage and Rogue/Swashbuckler are made for each other. Aside from trapwork, the Swordsage's skill list is basically the same as the Rogue's. The Shadow Hand discipline is about as Rogue-friendly as you can get. Take that third level of Swashbuckler, then alternate Rogue and Swordsage levels... You add half your non-martial levels to your initiator level, so you'll be getting access to some really good maneuvers and stances right out of the gate - by alternating levels, you won't have a huge number of maneuvers, but the ones you have will be solid stuff. |
| Hanzo18701-14-08, 09:19 PM | It seems we were thinking alike b/c I made my own patch Feat for the Rogue and Swordsage. It's a little different, though. Sublime Swordsman Your knowledge as a martial adept is not compromised, even if you stray from the Sublime Way Pre-Reqs: BAB +4, Sneak Attack +2d6, Discipline Focus (Weapon Focus) Benefits: Your Swordsage and Rogue levels stack for the purpose of determining Initiator Level and the Rogue's Special Ability. Special: Your Rogue levels and half your Swordsage levels stack for the purpose of determining the Rogue's Sneak Attack. Normal: Your martial adept level and half your other class levels stack for the purpose of determining initiator level. It's in my Sublime Ninja thread. Also, for your Rogue 7/Swashbuckler 2, Swordsage is the way to go because of its greater accessibility. Shadow Hand will go you a world of good. |
