| rone_leah03-03-08, 02:08 PM | So what is the range of inspire courage with the subsonics feat? |
| wonlee7603-03-08, 02:22 PM | I would imagine the same range as inspire courage without the Subsonic feat unless the feat expllicitly changes the range. |
| rone_leah03-03-08, 02:44 PM | Inspire courage only works if your allies can hear you. Subsonics take away the need to hear the bard. |
| wonlee7603-03-08, 03:11 PM | IIRC, subsonics lets you inspire courage without sound. So listening "range" even though there is nothing to listen to is still the range of inspire courage. Short Answer: If the PC could hear Inspire Courage without Subsonics, the PC can hear Inspire Courage with Subsonics. If the PC could not hear Inspire Courage without Subsonics, the PC cannot hear Inspire Courage with Subsonics. |
| Red_Wizard03-04-08, 02:29 PM | IIRC, Subsonics, despite it's name, doesn't actually remove sound from the equation. This has lead to many an argument, stemmed from both intentional and unintentional cheating on the matter. What it does do, more or less, is allow the singer to to get his song across without anyone blatantly being able to pick out the origin of the ability. Think singing through ones teeth, or strumming your Harp at your hip rather than in your hands. "Inconspicuous Lyricist" might have been a more appropriate name for the feat. -RW |
