I'm making a fifth level fighter

Abilities STR14, DEX16, CON13, INT12, WIS8, CHA13

I have the Feats: Improved Initiative, TWF, XWP (Two-Bladed Sword), Weapon Focus (Two-Bladed Sword), Weapon Specialisation (Two-Bladed Sword) & Power Critical (Two Bladed Sword).

However, I'm not sure that Power Critical is really that good a feat, thinking about it. What would be a better one?

I'm considering Mage Slayer (I'm shooting for Occult Slayer PrC and the adventure takes place in Thay - you do the math), Power Attack, or perhaps Iron Will or that Feat which adds CHA to Will saves instead of WIS.

(If you're wondering why I chose to dump WIS - the guy is a hero - he has to be cool, it's that simple.)

That said - feel free to suggest any feats not listed here. The books allowed are in my .sig.

With DEX as your highest ability, I would drop the double sword and use two lighter weapons and get Weapon Finesse (plus, you can omit XWP). Your strength is DEX.

Also, I'd be weary of using WIS as a dump if you plan to be an Occult Slayer. Iron Will is a must. A bad will save is every fighter's bane, especially going up against casters.

If you take Mage Slayer, you might want to figure out a way to give this character more speed. Most casters will avoid you if they can't cast defensively. And, most (especially higher level) casters will be faster than you, if you don't add to your 30 base speed. You'll need the speed to stay close to them (and hope they can't fly!).

Also - before you get Power Critical, you should realy get Improved Critical. Now, with those light weapons (like rapiers), your crit threat range is huge! Get Power Crit afterward, and you'll see the crits start to pile up. (hmmmmm... I'm starting to like this character.)

Yeah I'd have to agree with that myself

Or you could still do two weapon fighting but with rapiers instead of the double-bladed sword. Work towards weapon supremacy, take improved crit then power crit, weapon finesse, and a couple other feats that aren't clicking for me since it's both late and I don't really do dex characters well.

Well, rapiers aren't light weapons, they're just finessable. So, you can't use one in each hand without taking additional penalties. Plus your Dex mod is only one higher than your Str mod, so I wouldn't consider Weapon Finesse a good feat. You gain +1 to hit at the cost of a feat and one damage on average per attack. If you were going to go this route, I'd suggest short swords, or take EXP with the light blade (effectively a light rapier).

Power Attack could be a fine feat to take.

If you're looking for damage, you could instead take EWP(Bastard Sword) and oversized TWF. This would let you use a bastard sword in each hand with no additional penaly. I wouldn't call it an optimized use of feats, but it's an option.

Force of Personality, add Chr bonus to Will saves.

perhaps Iron Will or that Feat which adds CHA to Will saves instead of WIS.

Both Iron Will and Force of Personality give +2 to Will saves in this case... Force of Personality is probably a better pick, as it sounds like you're more likely to buff Cha down the road... but if that's not the case and you're thinking you'd be more likely to buff Wis, then go with Iron Will.

On the other hand, since you're playing Forgotten Realms, you could take one of the Regional feats (Bullheaded or Discipline) that gives +2 Will saves, plus something else. I'm a big fan of regional feats; I like the flavor of people from different places having particular affinities that give a mechanical advantage.

If your DM is allowing prestige classes (I would recommend dervish, but you would need to switch your INT and CON to qualify for the CE feat), you could spend a feat into a pre-req. for that class.
