Was looking through my various classes and one fo my friends books and noticed the Battle Dancer and the Shaman (With the update). How do things like Superior Unarmed Strike (And the Monks Belt and similar things) work with these classes that have unarmed combat progressions.

I expect it to wrok perfectly fine because most if not all such classes refer to the monk-ability as its origin, and thus count as the same ability.

Note that this is my personal interpretation.

Probably works the same way for any class that has unarmed progression.

SUS says if you are a monk:
add 4
Otherwise use this chart.

If you are a monk or if the class you have grants you "monk unarmed progression" then use the +4. This would include "stacks with monk unarmed" PrC etc.

If you are a class that has Monk like progression, then use the SUS chart based on level.

If you are any other class, then use the SUS chart based on level.

For a class like the Shaman (with the 3.5 update), that has its own unarmed strike progression; I would rule that SUS raises their unarmed damage by 4 levels, just like a monk
