Can someone please explain to me what if anything the feat Swift Hunter has on progression as a Scout/Ranger. I've heard, and correct me if I'm wrong that this feat somehow allows you to multiclass Scout and Ranger to pick up some of the class feats/abilities from one or both classes. Is this correct? Any information would be appreciated.

Like you have heard... the feat allows you to multiclass both Scout and Ranger, and allows some features from both to stack, so that those features treat both your Scout Levels and Ranger levels as 'class levels' for the purpass of figuring out how efective those features are. It also allows some of the features to work in ways they could not on their own, which is really neat.

I can't give you specifics, because Complete Scoundrel is not OGL stuff. However, I will say that if your doing any kind of Scout Archer... this combo is MUCH more effective then going it scout alone.

Thanks Shadow,

So how would these stack? Assuming I am a total of 10 lvls but they are mixed with Scout and Ranger, when would I get each class feat? I understand how, in theory, this works but I don't understand when and how I would get each class feat.

I'm a little loss and since I don't have access to my Complete Scoundrel book, I can't get it until Tuesday, I would appreciate anymore information I can get.

You need to have certain abilities at certain levels in oirder to take Swift Hunter. The earliest you could take it would be Scout 3/Ranger 1.

Say your a Scout 4/Ranger 6. Normaly... your scout Abilities that scale with level would only be level 4, and you Ranger Abilities that scale with level would be only level 6. With Swift Hunter, some of both Ranger and Scout abilities (not all obvously, just a few specific ones) count your Character level, 10, as your class level for BOTH Ranger and Scout when determining the efective level those abilities function at. Also, the feat allows the abilities to interact in new ways, at least in one specific case.

It's pretty good stuff.

Ok, thanks again. That would mean this is the feat that I'm looking for. Now, one more question. Where can I find "specifically" which feats this applies to as well as which ones it does not?

Basically, if you were a 4th level Scout, 6th level ranger, you would have the Skirmish bonuses of a 10th level scout, the favored enemy bonuses of a 10th level ranger, and all other class abilities as appropriate for your level. This feat also grants you the ability to apply Skirmish damage to Favored Enemies who are normally immune to it, such as undead.

My favorite part about this line of feats is that the requirements are typically low level, and thus you can take a level dip into a class for some really great bonuses. For example, Daring Outlaw requires the Swashbuckler class feature Grace +1(obtained at level two), and Sneak Attack +2d6. If you were using this feat for a Rogue build, you would take a two level dip for +2 BAB, Weapon Finesse as a bonus feat, no loss to SA, a fair bonus(+4 @20, I think) to Reflex saves, and the same number as a dodge bonus to AC in light or no armor. If you were to take a 3rd level of swash, you'd get insightful strike(Int to damage with finessable weapons), wich I simply adore. GO TIEFLING ROGUE/SWASH!!

Complete Scoundrel.

I think the OP is a little confused on the subject. Swift Hunter doesn't have anything to do with other feats at all. It just lets you add your Scout and Ranger levels together to determine how much favored enemy and skirmish you have, as well as the other ability previously mentioned. It does NOT allow you to stack you scout and ranger levels for the purpose of determining bonus FEATS, just those 2 class FEATURES.
