I even made more that incorporate ToB,though I'm sure that's a knowledge forgotten on the boards by now. :D There's several combinations available, but one that either does not exist, or that I am missing at every turn of my search. They have Fighter+Ninja, Monk+Rogue, Rogue+Scout, Etc... Is there one for Fighter + Rogue? I really want to say that there is, but cannot find it again. Any help on confirming or denying it would be greatly appreciated, especially if confirmation comes with the source it's located in. :) Thanks ahead of time. |

I put together a little excel sheet of all of those recently, to make looking at them easier, and while fighter pairs with swashbuckler and ninja, and rogue pairs with Swashbuckler, Scout, Monk, and Paladin, there is no overlap. You could houserule one, probably giving sneak attack progression by both, and counting both classes as fighter for qualifying for certain fighter-only feats (Weapon Specializaton, etc). |
| WinDReiN03-09-07, 06:51 PM | I am sorry, but am not aware of such a feat... Perhaps it's because it would be overpowering. |
| Izax1903-09-07, 06:56 PM | Yeah, I do agree with WinDrein that such a feat would on the upper end of power, seeing as how it grants the arguably biggest class ability of rogues - sneak attack - while you still level in fighter with full BAB and bonus feats. You could test it out, report back to us what kind of effect it has. But if I were playing a fighter, I would most definitely take this feat and a level in rogue to get massive sneak attack progression. Perhaps require +2d6 sneak attack to take, as that will require more investment in rogue levels. |
| highbulp03-09-07, 06:57 PM | You might check out the Fighter and Rogue variants from Unearthed Arcana (also in the SRD). There is a rogue varient that gets Fighter Bonus feats instead of Sneak attack, and Fighter varient that gets Sneak attack instead of Bonus feats. It's probably not quite what you're looking for (I image you want Sneak Attack and the Feats), but that might be as close as you're going to get. |
| Wraithwin03-09-07, 07:07 PM | I don't entirely agree with WinDReiN. I agree that it would be powerful and perhaps "too good", but I would go Scout-Rogue with that feat before Fighter-Rogue any day. Take the Improved Skirmish feat at later levels along with the "Quick" trait and Expeditious dodge... Now THAT is too good. Provided the thing is subject to criticals, if you move 40ft+ you're doing weapon damage +17d6 at 20th while receiving a +9 Dodge Bonus to AC in light armor with a base movement of 50. LOL I ask because I'm actually playing a Kit-Fighter (Dragon Variant: Kensai Fighter for 20 level progression), so the UA thing is sadly out. I was hoping there was something to help me further justify taking Rogue levels to add to her stealthiness seeing she's stuck with Light Armor. I don't see her being even remotely Ninja-Like (and in fact, I think the GM doesn't allow that class in his custom world anyways), and the Finesse stuff from Swashbuckler isn't all that helpful to me. Would be much more helpful if you could apply weapon finesse to a Bastardsword (her Kensai Weapon) weilded 2h without taking the "Iaijutsu Master" PrC. (Edit In) I'm thinking if the feat required 3d6 Sneak Attack (to cut BAB a bit), and only added Rogue level -2 to your Fighter levels for feat availibility and/or your Fighter level -2 to Rogue for Sneak Attack total, that might not be too bad, right? REALLY wish there was one for Fighter and Scout. |
