I saw somewhere in story how a knight used her two long swords to lock down an enemy's weapon blow and then throw him off his balance and striked at him.

Is there anyway to translate that into D&D rules?

You would need two weapon defence for the block part and the other one i think it's already existing and it's call Counter Attack. It trigger when you have taken a total defense and if you manage to prevent a blow you can perform a single attack. but it work once per round so even if you get hit 10 time you can counter only once.

You might want to take a look at PH2 for Two-Weapon Rend, Comp Adventurer for Oversized Two-Weapon Fighting, and then Comp Warrior for Pin Shield, as well as the weapon style feats Crecent Moon (sword and dagger), Hammer's Edge (sword and hammer) and High Sword Low Axe (guess). These last three aren't two-sword styles but they are close and offer special manevers when used together.

You could say, when someone misses you, "I use my two longswords to lock down my enemy's weapon blow." Then on your turn, you could say, "With his weapons still locked, I throw him off-balance and strike him."

Thats probably the easiest way to use it ;P

Someone reading there Flipside?

Anyway I'd say Swordsage from ToB. The Setting Sun Style has alot of counters. Then go the TWF route. I think you can ready actions as well.

Yup. Flipside is exactly where I had the idea from. It's nice to think that you could avoid all combat attemp to hit you and right after that try to attack who attacked you. I'll try to look at the suggested above but my hunce is that it's not what I think it is.

I would just take improved feint. Then call it done. An attack misses you, you make a feint attack and then a normal one. Done deal.

Narak where is counter attack found under the full defense option? I must have missed it.

Thanks,

I didn't think it was a core rule, or even a standard rule for anyone using defensive fighting, but I didn't want the obvious pointed out to me if I was wrong.

I've never played one, but the three subs look interesting.Three more full round options. shrug.
