I remember there being a feat recently that gave you bonuses for your kills as you wear them. Anyone know what I'm talking about and which book it's in? Thanks in advance!

I remember reading something like that in a Dragon Magazine, but that's all I got.

I think what you're talking about is the Trophy Collector feat from Player's Handbook 2, which gives you Intimidate bonuses, Diplomacy penalties, Will bonuses vs. fear, and a once per day will bonus, all of which are dependant on the number of trophies you wear.

If it's the one Salla is mentioning, that would be Trophy Hunter from Dragon #332, which does different things with different parts of slain creatures, and is a Ranger only feat.

The feat in question is trophycollector from the PHBII. This feat allows you to create "trophies" from your kills, turning them into a poor-man's magic item for the boots, belt, cloak, and neckpiece spots.

I realize that it is not a feat, but the Leviathan Hunter PrC from Stormwrack has a similar ability. I cannot recall exactly what it does, but I know that it involves wearing creature bits.

Quick question, is there any reason that you couldnt make a Masterwork trophy with a high enough Craft(Taxadermy) check, allowing you to then get a mage to make it a magic item in its own right, while still benifitting you as a trophy? In that case the feat might actually be kinda usefull, doubly so for all thoes dragon hunters out there. (Hey look at my dragon skin boots! There gold and shiny)

Only weapons and armour need be masterwork for enchantment. Most other items are just usually "well crafted" or "stylish" when a mage enchants them.
