I had an idea for a Tome of Battle: Book of Nine Swords feat which seems like a no-brainer. It is based on the Precocious Apprentice feat found in the Complete Arcane, though with some tweaks to balance it for martial adepts, which function differently from arcane spellcasters.

PRECOCIOUS INITIATE
Prerequisite: Intelligence 15 (warblade) or Wisdom 15 (swordsage) or Charisma 15 (crusader), initiator level 1st.
Benefit: Choose a single 2nd-level boost, counter, or strike from a discipline that you have access to. You gain the ability to use that maneuver once per encounter if you succeed on an initiator level check (DC 8). Failure indicates that the maneuver is expended without effect.
* Whether you succeed or fail, once the maneuver is expended it is no long considered readied. You must spend 15 minutes to ready it again before it can be used.
* Readying the chosen maneuver takes up a number of readied maneuvers equal to its maneuver level (in this case, two).
* When you gain the ability to learn 2nd-level maneuvers, you lose the above benefits of the feat, and the maneuver becomes a bonus maneuver known that can be readied and used as normal.
Special: This feat may only be selected at 1st level.
