| Fallenangel35906-07-07, 10:29 PM | For a while my group went with the ruling that touch of golden ice made your opponent make a dc 14 fort save, or lose 1d6 + the opponents charisma modifer dexterity Then something occured to me, this is what it says Touch of golden ice [exalted] Your touch is poisonous to evil creatures. prerequisites: Con 13 Benefit: any evil creature you touch with your bare hand, fist, or natural weapon is ravaged by golden ice (see Ravages and Afflictions in chapter 3: exalted equipment for effects). is ravaged by golden ice Note, it doesn't say make a fort save or be ravaged (comparable to fort save or be poisoned), it says is ravaged by golden ice Does that mean its not a dc 14 fort save, but rather instant effect, and 1 minute later a dc 14 fort save, or takes effect, and 1 minute takes effect again? I have no idea how this works. Hum. Any ideas? |

| Fallenangel35906-07-07, 11:10 PM | while good advice, this isn't for me, its for the druid master of many forms (level 6, btw) in the group. Note, he also has feral template (with LA buyoff, which was only 2000xp, scarily) |
| Tsuul06-08-07, 01:23 AM | They still make the save. I may have been poisoned and made the save to resist the effects. But I will still tell you that I was poisoned. |
| Mirian06-08-07, 02:45 AM | If I remember correctly, the save is if you use the ravage, not the feat (Though it should have one, preferably linked to you in some way so that it remains somewhat useful). It exists as both a feat and as a poison for good characters that only works on evil ones. |

Any ideas? this is it. you hit/touch them they are automaticly ravaged, they roll a fort save if they make it nothing happen if they dont they take the dex damage. then a minute later if they are still alive new fort save just like a posion. think of it like a posioned dagger. if you are stabbed you are posioned and you make a save to see if the posion in you hurts you or if your body handles it. |

They still have to save to see if they are affected by it (and again one min later). If an ingested poison touches your skin, you're not poisoned and therefor don't have to save against anything. If that same poison got poured into your ale, and you drank it, then you roll your save. Your still got poisoned though, even if you make the save. It's the same thing. |
