Any clarification on what would happen if I were a rogue who multiclassed to a spell thief and now have the traps ability twice? Is it a lower DC?

do you mean trapfinding or trap sense?

trap sense + trap sense = trapfinding +1

or

trap sense + trap finding +1 = trapfinding +2

or

trapfinding +1 + trapfinding +1 = trapfinding +2

The OP is talking about the class feature of trapfinding there is no +1 or anything. You either have the ability to find traps or not.

Besides there is no combining trapfinding and trap sense they are two different abilities. You can stack the trap sense abilities from rogue and barbarian or other classes with trap sense.

For the OP

You do not gain the ability to find traps a second time. The DCs would be the same.

example: when u get uncanny dodge from rogue and then u get uncanny dodge from barb they combine it to be improved uncanny dodge.

and if i had the same situation he has thats how i would work it out.and both classes are rogue/thief so dont you think that is how it was intended to work?

if im wrong ,thats my bad.

Both trap sense and uncanny dodge have text that states "from different classes stack or automatically gains..." Trapfinding has no text stating that it stacks or improves.

Thanks, that's what I thought, but wasn't too sure.
