| dman1123501-20-08, 12:07 AM | Why would they not be able to? So yes. |
| jaelis01-20-08, 02:15 AM | Nothing in the rules says you can't, so I'd say yes. But nothing in the rules says you can either, so your DM might say no. (If you're the DM, you should say yes.) |
| Dheran01-20-08, 04:47 AM | If they've got a listed flight speed, then that's "normal movement" so Tumble is permitted. A DM might want to impose circumstance penalties to the check if the flier's maneuverability is poor. |
| Cartigan01-20-08, 09:41 AM | Do a barrel roll! |
| Amaril01-20-08, 10:23 AM | There's actually a monster in Dragon Magic that does exactly that. It's a fire elemental dragon that tumbles (as per the skill) through occupied squares while flying (perfect maneuverability, by the way). |
| m o n k01-20-08, 02:04 PM | I agree a character should be able to tumble while flying. I think a DM might get hung up on the word "tumble", imagining only a head-over-heels roll on the ground. Tumbling in the air might not look like a "tumble", but it's basically a maeuver to avoid AoO. If you describe it as looking like a "barrel roll" as someone suggested, you might convince someone more easily (if that is, in fact, your goal). |
