Hi All.

My character has wings and can fly (good maneuverability). I was considering taking the "Fly by Attack" feat and noticed that opponents get an attack of opportunity on you as you leave their threatened area.

Is it possible to use my Tumble skill as part of my movement during the "Fly by Attack"?

Thanks

The tumbling skill entry does not mention being restricted only to land movement; only that you tumble as part of your movement. So, yes, you can tumble in the air, or even underwater.

You certainly may "tumble" when flying. Just think of it as performing some fancy flying.

Thanks guys.

I was thinking along the same lines but my DM has reservations about it. I've been looking for any references to a feat specifically for tumbling in the air and can not find one which probably works in my favour :)

Thinking back to the old "Ace of Aces" book game, barrel-roll, side-slip, and power-diving into a zoom-climb come to mind. That and a well-timed Immellman Turn.
