The various Divine feats often offer a bonus if a PC uses up a "turning" attempt for the day.

Some clerics get domains like Air or Fire that allow them to "turn" elemental creatures a certain number of times per day.

Do these elemental "turnings" stack with the normal ones for purposes of "turning" attempts per day available? Can a cleric with the Air and Fire domains and a Charisma of 12 use 12 "turning" attempts per day for the purposes of powering up divine feats?

The description of Divine feats (in Complete Divine) require uses of Turn Undead, so strictly speaking being able to Turn elementals doesn't do anything.

TU is based off of your CHR score modifier +3. A cleric with a 12 CHR would get 4. And 4 more for air creatures in your case, but not 12.

Adn I think that the last poster was correct in saying that only TU work for the divine feats.

You missed the word "and" in my post.

No he didn't. He simply said that he confirmed the previous poster that it has to be Turn Undead. Read the descriptions of the feats. The list may say turning attempts, but the description supersedes the list, and the description says Turn or Rebuke Undead. Not even the Greater Turning of the Sun domain qualifies.

I think he was talking about how he got 12 (Air and Fire), for 4+4+4.

There's still no way to use them with divine feats though.

Unless of course, your DM lets you. Perhaps you could work with the DM to develop a feat that allows your "other" Turning attempts to count as if they were Turn Undead for the purposes of Divine Metamagic. Whether or not that would be worthwhile compared to Extra Turning would depend a lot on your character and where he got the Domain Turn attempts.
