| JarionSilverblades12-02-07, 10:54 AM | If I wanted to take Twin Sword Style from the Forgotten Realms, but not be in the Forgotten Realms could I? I was thinking I could if the DM replaced the Region prerequisite with maybe Two-weapon Defense. Would that work? |
| kuonji12-02-07, 11:01 AM | Ask your DM. |
| JarionSilverblades12-02-07, 11:29 AM | I did he thinks it needs another prerequisite sense the Region prerequisite is out. |
| kuonji12-02-07, 11:36 AM | In the character region section it says for every 2 ranks in Knowledge(local) you possess, you can select a feat from a region not your home region. So suggest you take a couple ranks in knowledge(local). Or ask if you can adapt the feat to a region in his world that would be applicable and ask to be from that region. Might give you some more fun info for your background and fit your character into the game world a little better. |

| kuonji12-02-07, 11:47 AM | The thing is we aren't in the forgotten realm, and their are no regions. Really? There's no cities, nations, lords, castles, rulers of any type, etc. Nothing. Anywhere. I find that hard to believe. It already has one feat requirement, adding another just seems unnecessary. |
| JarionSilverblades12-02-07, 11:50 AM | I mean their are no regions as they are in the FRCS. |
| kuonji12-02-07, 11:54 AM | I mean their are no regions as they are in the FRCS. One of the regions in FR is called The North...pretty vague. Another is called Waterdeep...that's a city. It would be rather simple for your DM to say you had to be from a particular city or country or kingdom or whatever where a two-sword combat style is prevalent. Are you playing in a custom world or something like Greyhawk? If it's another pre-set world, there's probably already a place suitable in existance. If it's a custom world, tell your DM to make something up. |

A ranger and myself want to take this feat, and the DM was thinking of adding Two-weapon Defense to the prerequisite, but hasn't made up his mind. Adding TWD has no real effect on either of use as we both have the feat already. |
| blade26512-02-07, 01:49 PM | What would happen if you were Teleported/Gated or something as say a trap or you annoyed a deity/god and were sent to the place your are in now. If your had the feat before you left it should be still viable. I play a warforged warlock and our campaign world isn't Eberron. |
| JarionSilverblades12-02-07, 01:58 PM | Ok what if I worded it like this, If I wanted to make Twin Sword Style a General Feat, could it be done by replacing the Region prerequisite with Two-weapon Defense? |
| Tempest Stormwind12-02-07, 02:31 PM | Dude, Twin Sword Style isn't a very good feat at all. It just has a flashy name. What is it about the feat that you want? Chances are there's a better feat out there that works for the same reasons you want Twin Sword Style. (Oh, and for the record, the 3.5 version of it is in the Player's Guide to Faerun, which has different regional rules and has it open to different regions.) |
