| Zagel05-21-07, 05:35 PM | This has probably been up för question about 1000 times already, but I haven´t read it yet. A fighter with 16 in Str and Dex and Level 5 with teo master work weapons. One onehanden and one light. His attack would be: BAB - Str Mod - Equip - TwoWea - total +5 +3 +1 -2 = +7/+7 Right?? When he gain a level to Lvl6 he gets a second attack. Does this extra attack grants two extra attack?? like this?? BAB - Str Mod - Equip - TwoWea - total +6/+1 +3 +1 -2 = +8/+8/+3/+3 And what about Improved TwoWeapon fighting? And Greater Twoweapon fighting? Does this mean that a fighter at Lvl 12 with twoweapon fighting, improved twowea and greater twowea figh feat has 12 attacks? One with the primary hand and 3 with off-hand att the highest baseattack, then 1 with primary and 3 with off-hand att his next highest and so on?? If I´m on a wild goosechase, please correct me. |

At level 6, the fighter gets a second iterative attack with his on-hand. This does not give him a second attack with the off-hand. So at level 6, his attack modifers are +8/+3 with his on-hand, and a single attack at +8 with his off-hand. The Improved Two weapon fighting feat gives him a second attack with his off-hand at an additional -5 penalty. (this is mechanically the same as the second attack with his on-hand, but you have to take the feat to get the iterative attack with the off-hand). Once he has Improved two weapon fighting, then your attack routine of +8/+3 with the on-hand and +8/+3 with the off-hand is correct. The only mistake you made is that the extra attacks from a high base attack bonus are only with your on-hand weapon. A level 12 fighter with greater two weapon fighting gets 6 attacks on a full attack action, 3 with each hand, but if he didn't have the feats improved TWF and greater TWF, he would only get 4 (3 with the on-hand and a single attack with the off-hand) |

At level 11, he gets another extra attack on his primary hand. To get another attack on his off hand, he needs Improved Two Weapon Fighting. To get a third attack with his off hand, he needs Greater two-weapon fighting. |
