| SilentOne08-10-07, 11:50 PM | ...this is so much better than Weapon Focus, you realize? Way too powerful, even if it is limited to unarmed strikes. Particularly since that sets precedent for a specific fighting style getting this crazy powerful feat, making them all able to get it. From your "mad props and shout out", I'm assuming there's some other feat/ability that grants +1 on grapple checks for every other level. Frankly, grappling is much less powerful than straight attacking, since monsters frequently get size bonuses, higher BAB from large numbers of hit dice, or much larger strength modifiers than a PC grappler might have, and the smaller ones get a number of abilities that let them avoid getting grappled. |

That said, grappling is only usefull against humanoid opponnents (I'm not mentionning things smaller than you are, as it is way too obvious). The rest of the monsters get too many bonuses to make grappling an efficient form of combat. Except, of course, against spellcasters. Oh, and as the Silent One said, your feat is WAY too powerfull. |
