| BloodDragon03-15-07, 11:40 AM | So when you power attack with a two handed weapon. You can add x2 the power attack bonus to the damage. If you make an unarmed attack with power attack, would you be able to use it two handed as well? Provided that both of your hands are free. You could clench both hands together. Seems to make sence to me. Is there any ruling for this? |
| cwslyclgh03-15-07, 11:43 AM | no you can't, an unarmed strike is not a one-handed or two handed weapon (the only weapons you can wield two handed to get the power attack increase). |
| 3DJutsu03-15-07, 12:15 PM | Technically you can't wield a light weapon in two hands to conffer any type of bonus, and unarmed strikes count as light weapons. EDIT: cause I typed wrong. |
| cwslyclgh03-15-07, 12:18 PM | technically you can not power attack with a light weapon, but unarmed strikes are directly excepted to this rule. Technically you can wield a light weapon in two hands to conffer any type of bonusthis is wrong actually, one-handed weapons specificallys ay that they can be used two handed to confer the bonuses, light weapons do not. |
| jadehawk03-15-07, 12:36 PM | Technically you can wield a light weapon in two hands to conffer any type of bonus, and unarmed strikes count as light weapons. I thought you couldn't two-hand light weapons. I think it works as follows: light: must be wielded one-handed, reduces two weapon fighting penalties when used in off hand one-handed: can be wielded one-handed or two-handed (for 1.5x str damage) two-handed: must be wielded two-handed (for 1.5x str damage) |
| 3DJutsu03-15-07, 12:54 PM | Ack!! That was suppossed to be can't, my bad, I mistyped it... |
| tarkin03-15-07, 12:59 PM | Also: Normally you can not use Power Attack witha light weapon at ALL. It is a special exception that lets you get x1 power attack with an unarmed attack. There is no special exception that lets you boost it up to x2. |
| enygmatic_me03-15-07, 01:04 PM | Check out the Hammer Blow feat (Races of Faerun), which is almost what you want. I would suggest dropping the "Dwarf" requirement. |
| BloodDragon03-15-07, 01:08 PM | There is no special exception that says you can't boost it up to x2. However I doubt you could in the frist place, just thought I'd ask. Thank you for clearly that up. |
