| LordKailas01-24-08, 05:17 PM | I tried searching the forums for this to make sure I wasn't asking something that's already been answered but the search capabilities seem to be lacking. In any case here's my question. In Libris Mortis there is the feat Undead Leadership. The jist of the feat is "this feat is the same as the leadership feat, but your score is adjusted for attracting undead followers". Ok, that's fine since a lot of detail is given as far as determining non-human cohorts. The problem is it really doesn't give any indication what kind of followers you can get if you want one that's non-human. What's more a lot of "1st level" undead creatures are actully mindless which makes me think the feat wouldn't even affect them. The closest I have been able to find is this article http://www.wizards.com/dnd/article.asp?x=dnd/dx20021031x Which presents a feat called "undead leadership" however, this feat operates rather differently from the one in libris mortis and it also has different requirements from the one in libris mortis. The most prominant being you have to be undead. Also, this article was written prior to LM being published and in every case that a feat has been "re-published" the newest publication takes precident over the old one. Any ideas? is there something I'm missing? The one in the article is really nice but I can understand why it may have been changed to bring it more in line with other PC feats. :allalone: |

As far as I can see its quite obvious what the intention of the feat is; you can recruit undead (and thus mindless) followers, and you have a +2 bonus on your leadership score in those cases. If you for some reason want to recruit normal followers, you take a penalty instead. Also, for non-human followers you use the normal level adjustment rules if thats what you meant... I can clarify if I have misunderstood your question :) |
