| przemas10-31-07, 05:53 PM | I have a problem, I want to create a character who needs only dexterity to fight in melee. There is one feat which allows you to take dexterity score instead of strength to rolls on attack. I would like to know if exist another feat which would use dexterity to damage rolls(I will use light weapon). |
| Salla10-31-07, 06:02 PM | I've never seen anything that does so in anything WotC has printed. |
| Hsien10-31-07, 06:36 PM | (iirc) ToB; Shadow Blade(?) feat Limited to certain weapons because of ShadowHand school req. Races of the Wild Champion of Corellon Larethian; PrC Unfortunately both are from books my group doesn't use. |

Why do you want Dex to damage anyway? that's maybe +10 damage at most if you have high Dex to start and boost it like mad. Get sneak attack. |

Champion of Corellon Larethian's class ability actually allows you to add your Dex modifier in addition to your Str mod. And if you plan to use Weapon Finesse, your weapon of choice should be the Elven Thinblade, or possible Elven Fullblade. |
| 1 ton ghost11-02-07, 12:59 PM | apart from X-Bow Sniper (PHBII), i don't know any for melee. there should be some though. maybe it's because Dex is probably one of, if not, the best ability IMO overall; it effects way more mechanics than the rest; init, Reflx, AC, touch AC, stealth skills, ride, ranged attack, some melee, etc. there are provisions to add Int in alot of cases for melee. Hell, almost every rule has a feat that allows a swap out to another ability or means to circumnavigate said rule. |

(generic warriors (SRD - variant classes) can get sneak attack and high BAB; or the thug variant (fighter without bonus feats but with sneak attack ) |
| Neutronium_Dragon11-02-07, 06:59 PM | > Champion of Corellon Larethian's class ability actually allows you to add your > Dex modifier in addition to your Str mod. So does the Shadow Blade feat mentioned above. |

(generic warriors (SRD - variant classes) can get sneak attack and high BAB; or the thug variant (fighter without bonus feats but with sneak attack ) Actually thug is fighter minus the heavy armor, but with better skills. Both Thug and Fighter can choose to have SA instead of bonus feats under UA. |
| Johannixx11-05-07, 01:52 PM | The "Hit-and-Run" option from Drow of the Underdark lets Fighters give up heavy armor and tower shield profs for +2 to initiative and Dex to damage against flatfooted opponents. The Warblade class also allows you to use your Int bonus to damage in certain scenarios. But in all seriousness, I see nothing wrong with a feat that allows Dex to damage instead of Strength, so long as the target is subject to critical hits/sneak attacks. |
| Rulebook11-05-07, 03:23 PM | ive seen some swash/fighter/CoC builds for low-magic games that dont suck too bad too. |
