| Runepriest04-29-07, 05:36 PM | These are some feats I brewed up that would especially be useful in a low-magic campaign. Vampiric Cleave Prerequisite's: Power Attack, Vampiric Power Attack, Cleave, Great Cleave, Str 13, Base Attack Bonus +6 Benefit: Once per round, when making a cleave attack, you heal a # of points of damage equal to half the damage you dealt Vampiric Power Attack Prerequisite: Power Attack, Str 13, Base Attack Bonus +2 Benefit: When you power attack you heal a # of points of damage equal to the penalty you took on your power attack What do you think? Any more ideas for feats that heal you when you use them? |
| TevolRia04-29-07, 06:39 PM | I like them, but how do you justify that happening? The healing I mean. The sounds like it would be a vampire or half-vampire feat. A think that it would be fun to have a prestige class attached to the feats. |
| Banatine04-30-07, 04:13 AM | I think they could work for characters with a vampire bloodline. i would say that they would only work with natural attacks, otherwise they do not make sense at all. |
| tarkin04-30-07, 11:29 AM | This is what I might allow: Vampiric Cleave Prerequisite's: Power Attack, Vampiric Power Attack, Cleave, Str 13, a natural weapon, an SU, EX, SA, or ability to cast a spell that is necromantic in nature. Benefit: Once per DAY, when making a cleave attack with a natural weapon, you heal a # of points of damage equal to half the damage you dealt. (It is too easy to get a bunch of squirrells and start killing them to heal). Vampiric Power Attack Prerequisite: Power Attack, Str 13, natural weapon, an SU, EX, SA, or ability to cast a spell that is necromantic in nature. Benefit: When you power attack you may instead choose to heal the # of points of damage equal to the penalty you took, instead of doing additional damage. Things that increase the amount of damage you do on a power attack do not increase the damage you heal using this feat. Some better pre-reqs, and an adjustment to power. If you want to make a 3rd feat that lets you keep both the Power Attack damage increase and also heal, that would be fine. |
| Runepriest05-03-07, 11:00 PM | O.K.: new addition to feats: once per day, and minimum character level of 5th for the Power attack and 12th for cleave |
| NeoDX9005-04-07, 01:55 AM | These feats could go very nicely with the Necrotic Focus weapon ability from MIC. I like the feats with the exception of imposing a minimum character level. A minimum BAB is enough. Both prereqs aren't necessary. I'm building a vampire to use in my monthly as a midboss type encounter, and would love to try these out, heh. |
| Runepriest05-04-07, 07:28 PM | O.K. another revision. Also, more ideas for feats? Vampiric Cleave Prerequisite's: Power Attack, Vampiric Power Attack, Cleave, Great Cleave, Str 13, Base Attack Bonus +6 Benefit: When making a cleave attack, you heal a # of points of damage equal to the number of cleaves you did in one chain. You may use this ability equal to 3+Con mod times per day. Vampiric Power Attack Prerequisite: Power Attack, Str 13, Base Attack Bonus +2 Benefit: When you power attack you may subsititute for the extra damage to heal a # of points of damage equal to the penalty you took on your power attack. The number of hitpoints healed may not exceed the # of hitpoints the target has Example: Fighter A attacks Creature A. Creature A has 150 hit points. Fighter A is lvl 10. Fighter A power-attacks for 5 points. He uses Vampiric Power Attack and is healed of 5 points of damage. Fighter A attacks Creatures B, C, D, E, F, G, H, and I. They each have 10 hitpoints. Fighter A kills them all with Cleave and uses Vampiric Cleave with his Cleave and heals 8 hitpoints. |
