I told him it's because they use up higher spell slots. This got me thinking. What if, instead of spell slots, it was # of uses / day of relevant ability. If the feat normally uses up a slot 4 levels higher, it would be #uses equal to your int. modifier. If it only eats up 1 slot higher, it would now be your int. plus 3. Improved meta magic would give you an additional use / day of each feat. Opinions? |
