1) Can a monk with the VoP feat benefit from the Kensai's weapon enhancement ability (+10 wpn enhance.) to his natural weapons?

I would believe so being that the Kensai's enhancement ability is derived from xp invested in his/her weapons rather than monetary or magical wealth. Thoughts? :monk:

2) Also, the VoP feat clearly states the character cannot use any magic item of any kind but the Tomes and Manuals of <respective stat> seem to me more like knowledge enhancements (being inherent bonuses) although they are granted via magical means.

Anyone know if they might be exceptions to the rule? :detect:

Thanks in advance. :tiphat:

1) Yes, a monk with VOP can still enchant his fists via kensai (since they still won't have a monetary value, nor can they be donated for a worth cause anyways).

2) You can't use a tome as that would be benefiting from a magic item. You could still get inherent stat bonuses, say from a wish spell or something similar. The typical route is to have the party mage enchant you, which probably is not feasible until epic lvs anyways, if at all (I know I wouldn't, for one).

Alternatively, simply hold off taking the VOP feat until you have read all the tomes you want.:)

that holding off will reduce your bonus exalted feats though

Yeah, like getting bonus exulted feats is such a great bonus.

To be honest there very few of those feats I would want anyway, so to me that’s not a drawback.

Really not losing that much, though. I've gone through assorted VoP builds, and it's fairly hard to use all the exalted feats to which you are entitled - especially as a Monk; most of the really good exalted feats require high Cha (usually a dump stat for a Monk).
