| narack01-02-08, 12:52 PM | the regeneration is a smal regen, the weak one. Which is if i remember correctly 1min holding the limbs to reattach. Plus this include the regen of all temporary hit point lost the next round instead of 3. it also double the regen rate of resting, sleeping. So instead, a level 10 character full sleep grant him 10hp, it grant him 20hp. Oh yeah i forgot to mention. This regen doesn't make limbs regrow, so you need the integral limbs to be able to reattach it. So if it get destroy it wouldn't work. I would house rule a healing check or Fort save to regain sensibility to the limbs, in other word to be able to use it as soon it reattach. |
| Tordak01-02-08, 02:57 PM | The regeneration granted by vow of poverty is nowhere near the regeneration special quality of creature like troll or the one described in the DMG. All this ability does (the regeneration from VoP that is) is heal 1 hit point of damage per level per hour (so you heal 'level' hp each hour), and non-lethal is healed at a faster rate (every 5 minutes instead of every hour). Damages are dealt to you normally in every respect. It is similar to the ring of regeneration (DMG), but is always active. It is important to note that it does not allow for regrowth or reattachement of limb and parts. |
| InkBlot01-02-08, 03:39 PM | It's not regeneration, despite the fact that the ability is called Regeneration. It's actually fast healing. Fast healing is different in a number of important ways. Fast healing doesn't get all the neat tricks that come with regeneration; you just heal the listed amount at the listed rate. Nothing more. |
| JobieJones01-03-08, 03:34 AM | everyone seems so sure of this, yet I see no where that this is founded. If you guys can point me to a source that says this isn't the regeneration from the DMG, I'd like to know, but if you cannot, I don't see how it could be anything other than said regeneration. |
| strenoth01-03-08, 09:23 AM | it's right in the text of the ability, it refferences 1hp/level/day as the base, and says that this character heals per hour instead. And THEN says subdual damage is healed per 5 minutes. What oit refferences and how it describes it tells you that it's not the 'regeneration' in the DMG, right there in the text of the ability. |
