06-06-07, 06:12 PM An invocation is a spell-like ability, not a spell, and thus metamagic feats cannot be applied to them. You need things like the Empower Spell-Like Ability feat from the Monster Manual.

06-07-07, 10:44 PM Officially, only the Sudden metamagic feats (found in the Miniatures Handbook and Complete Arcane) can be applied to invocations and other spell-like abilities. The feats in the Sudden metamagic family can only be used once per day, so their use is self-limiting.
