| Evicmar05-09-07, 09:01 AM | I believe that this is a flaw in the game balance. The fighter gets feats at 1st and every even level. After 12th level though there are no feats that require a higher level. This breaks the balance of this class to all others at this point. I would like to purpose a book of feats to be printed in which there is a listing of new feat trees and continuations onto the existing ones. What are everyones thoughts on this? |
| wonlee7605-09-07, 09:34 AM | Well, PHB II introduces a feat that requires 18 levels of fighter. I forget what its called though but its in the Weapon Mastery line of feats if I recall correctly. |
| Evicmar05-09-07, 09:39 AM | Ok, there is one feat. This still leaves the fighter behind all other classes. There needs to be more higher level feats to help balance out the classes at high level. |
| AllisterH05-09-07, 09:45 AM | Actually, the book you want is PHB II which has a whole set of nice feats that require BAB of 12 and higher. |

| Nadaka05-09-07, 10:04 AM | Weapon Supremacy. And for some sick reason it's not even a Fighter Bonus Feat... Thats just... Wow. I had not noticed that before. That is just poor. |
| SolenVlos05-09-07, 10:54 AM | That is just poor. No, it's wrong. that's why it's going to be on next errata. I hope. It needs to be a fighter bonus feat. to me, it should be a fighter only feat. |

It specifically says, Fighter level 18 not BAB + 18. The only problem at the moment is that fighters can't select it at level 18 but must wait til level 19. Even a warblade can't get it pre-Epic. Not exactly as big a problem as say the weird Stance progressions of the crusader and warblade. |
| Ogg05-09-07, 11:18 AM | Yeah, the PHB2 gives some yummy progressions for fighters to help their damage output a little. I was actually looking at some 2 weapon fighting builds with it which seems to work nicely since feats like specialization add to the weapon used independent of which hand it's in. Thought about making an undead hunter & adding necropotent (Libris Mortis) (+4 damage with spec weapon verses undead, rar!) a juicy +8 if you hit with 2 weapons. Not bad. |
| SolenVlos05-09-07, 11:55 AM | If it says fighter 18, why can't be taken on the level 18 feat slot? |
| CantripN05-09-07, 12:00 PM | If it says fighter 18, why can't be taken on the level 18 feat slot? It can, but it can't be taken with a Fighter Bonus Feat. A Fighter 18/Human Paragon 2 can take it with it's Bonus Feat, but a Rogue 1/Fighter 19 can't ever get it (starting with Rogue). |
| AllisterH05-09-07, 12:05 PM | If it says fighter 18, why can't be taken on the level 18 feat slot? I'm an idiot that's why :D For some reason I was thinking character feats were at levels 1, 4, 7, 10, 13, 16 and 19 and not divisible perfect by 3 ) Like I said, I'm an idiot. :P EDIT: ARGH...ok, I totally forgot about multiclassing as well. See CantripN's post above the fighter bonus feat list. |
