02-23-07, 08:25 PM What weapon did the Orc Blademasters use, was it a Bastard sword, Greatsword, or what? I think I might have seen one using a Glaive or something.

Blade masters use basterd swords, sometimes dwarven war axes. Definately Weapon Master, maybe a bit of rogue and ninja. And they have teched to whirlwind for some reason.

Well, whirlwind is a prereq feat for weapon master...:)
They are also able to use invis and mirror image as SLAs, indicating some sort of spellcasting capabilities. Sorc seems to mesh better than wiz, but that might be hard to support(you need to pump both int and cha, which the orc has penalties in).

02-24-07, 12:39 AM Ooh, ooh, I know this one! It is most definitely Ninja/Fighter/Ghost Faced Killer. It fits almost perrrfectly. You get Wind Walk (Ghost Step). Bladestorm is essentially Whirlwind attack, which the Fighter levels let you get reasonably early. Bonus Wind Walk damage is Sudden Strike. Critical Strike is either just Improved Crit, or it could be seen as Power Attack, which is required for GFK. Plus they get Wisdom to AC and wear no armor, just like the Blademasters. Only thing missing is Mirror Image, but, meh, what're you gonna do? Since I don't see Blademasters as whipping out Magic Missile or Light, I really don't see them as having levels in sorcerer or wizard, so I believe Ninja/Fighter/GFK is the best representation.

As for the weapon, I'd call it either a Bastard Sword or a Great Sword. In-game it is too big for a Bastard Sword, but Warcraft's weapons are all over-sized anyway. Plus, he always wields it with both hands, he carries with one, but always swings with two, so if it is a Bastard Sword, he doesn't have proficiency or just wants to better power attack.

Alternatively, if using Tome of Battle you could make a pretty good Blademaster just using Swordsage. They get various moves similar to Wind Walk from Shadow Hand, surprise attack abilities like Wind Walk, plus the super-focus Diamond Mind stuff. Although the Blademaster's bladestorm suggests Iron Heart maneuvers, so maybe a Swordsage/Warblade/Mo9. Still no Mirror Image. . .

By the by, what's Weapon Master from? We talking the one from Sword & Fist or has it been updated?
