i'm currently playing a gnome transmuter wizard, and i want him to be some kind of "potion expert". However, i couldn't find any feat, prestige class or anything that coud give my character the mechanics to be the best in the potion-brewing buissness, so i thought i could invent them. i would like you to check these feats out and review them, thank you in advance. here they go:

Dual Effect Potion [Item Creation]
Prereq: Brew Potion.
You can create potions of any two 3rd-level or lower spells that you can cast. The caster level of both seplls has to be the same. Both spells activate simultaneously.
For the purpose of determining the base price of the potion, add up the level of the spells and multiply the result x the caster level x 50. You must spend XP as normal.

Potion Master [Item Creation]
Prereq: Caster Level 6, Brew Potion.
You can create potions of any 5th-level or lower spell that you can cast and targets one or more creatures. The potion is created the same way as a normal potion would.

-------end of the "on topic" part of the thread-----------

in addition to these feats i created this piece of equipment, that would be of extreme utility to any self-respecting potion brewer.

Potion Lab.
This gnome invention is a set of strange bottles, containers, jars, powders and alchemical devices that makes potion brewing a lot more efficient and easy. If a character has acces to one of these labs he can brew a potion in 4 hours instead having to spend a whole day. It whighs 80 lb. and costs 5000 gp.

cool eh? just imagine a venerable gnome with his protective glasses mixing smoking sky-blue liquids and dissolving them in twelve different egg-shaped jars adding some baby black dragon scale powder to them to make his precious stoneskin potion.

I like it, but I feel that you should price it at a premium, since the advantage is that a character can get the benefits of 2 potions simultaenously with just 1 standard action. Maybe multiply the final total cost by 1.5 or something? At least, I feel that it should not just cost the same as 2 separate potions.

Or you could just use craft wondrous item to create 1-use magic items and make them look like potion vials. Not a bad feat, just somewhat redundant.:P
I would probably raise the caster lv to 7(when a wizard gets 4th lv spells), just to further emphasize the benefit it confers.

I suppose it looks okay. The weight prevents it from easily being ported around, so adventurers on the move still can't readily take advantage of it. At least not until later in the game when they access bags of holding and shrink item...

Dual-effect potion is way too cheap, since all you're doing is paying for both potions at once, which is what it would cost to drink them individually.

The baseline for action-saving magic is Quicken Spell, which increases spell level (for slotting purposes) by 4. If your effect is in the general case much cheaper, it's too cheap.

At a minimum, I'd recommend adding the spell levels together, adding 1, and then using that as the slot level of the potion; caster level must match. I had thought of using this mechanic as a house ruled metamagic feat, but it's too cheap with low-level spells and two expensive for high-level spells.

There's a feat somewhere called Twin Spell, which allows you to cast a single spell twice in the same round. Off the top of my head I don't know its slot adjustment nor whether it requires both copies to be cast at the same target, but it is an appropriate starting point when double-spelling.
