Adventure Locations: Dusksong Forest [RoTG] [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-24-07, 12:39 AM The Dusksong forest, a place of beauty well known to the inhabitants of the guildlands. With this beauty of course comes danger, as there never seems to be one without the other in this day. The forest takes it's name from the song of the many animals living within it. The owls being the most notable of creatures, their calls forming a beautiful melody every night at dusk, many believe that this is purposeful, a result of the giant owl's greater intelligence. Indeed, many come to these forests to seek the owls, Dusksong owls being known worldwide as a superior breed to most.

Recently, the forest has become a breeding ground for bandits and thieves. Preying upon those who come too near it's boundries. Here they know that they can take to hiding easily and take full advantage of this fact. Nearby, there is also a single manor that is charge with watching over the forest, but their numbers are few and most of those who can fight are too busy defending the manor to hunt them down.

03-25-07, 11:47 PM ((Correct, you will be on the road making your way toward the forest. You will pass the manor on the way as the road heads into the manor and not the forest. If you wish, you can head up to the house or go straight to the forest.))

03-26-07, 02:47 AM Lumbering towards the woods, bypassing the manor, Scara slides off the back of Karkas. In doing so he pats the Owlbear on the head and whispers "Rujat." As this is said the eyes of the Owlbear become shifty and searching the area, its beak open wide inhaling and exhaling heavily sniffing out the area for combatants. "Parpara, parpara." And the beast begins marching forward, its eyes keened and its nose awake.

03-26-07, 10:16 PM The forest is, at the moment, quiet. There are few animal calls, and those that are there are somewhat distant. Wether it is the orc or the owlbear, or something completely different that is the cause, is not sure. At least, was not sure. Out of the corner of his eye Scara notices a figure move from behind one tree to another. Other than that, he sees nothing but trees and the forest floor.

04-10-07, 02:55 AM Nudges Karkas and points to where he saw the object, he then brings his hand around and puts two fingers up, a motion for the beast to hunt down the prey, and give a signal when it smells the creature near it.

Scara follows behind at a short distance, skulking in the undergrowth.
