| Orcy The Green Wonder12-06-06, 10:07 PM | The greatest war the people of Ogbanar have ever known is over. The war that raged across the continent and left no land untouched has finally been won. Dark days have come as the nations of the world attempt to rebuild and recover from the long fight. The Dromkarian warships have withdrawn with what remnants of their forces could make it back to them. The rest are being hunted down ruthlessly by the combined forces of the world. The strange beings that came forth and fought by the side of man have disappeared as mysteriously as they came. Leaving behind only questions about their relationship to the monsters that walked beside the Dromkarian forces. The Steel Empire, the Empire of Almatir in the northern part of the continent has been split in two. The Steel Kingdom and the Almatir Kingdom now rest side by side. The son of Izlude, King of the Steel Kingdom who fought the leader of the enemy forces in single combat is the cause. He is a man loved by the people and now rules half of his father's old empire, having split it from his father's control to his great suprise. There has of yet been no move on Izlude's part to take back the lands his son, Calibrus, has taken. The Darkwood Alliance has had it's foces greatly reduced and it fights now against the enemies that live on it's borders. The goblins and kobolds of the mountains make repeated attempts to push into Alliance territory and take the lands from them. On their western border the undead of the Haunted Woods grow restless and have been leaving their woods. Talks have been initiated with Drocaniard, the lord of those forests, but as of yet no progress has been made. Tephanok isle has been almost completely destroyed. The once forested land is now barren and dry. Once it was one of the most beautiful lands in the world. The home of the elves now lies ruined and they have not been heard from since the end of the war. There are some refugees that remain on the mainland of Ogbanar. Most are angry at the loss of their land and seek some sort of retribution. There are even those who demand land here on the mainland because they lost so much during the war. Finally, the kingdom of Sajenda, ruled over by the royal family for generations has fallen. The land is in complete and utter chaos after the death of their rulers during the war. The heir to the throne is currently too young to rule and thus there are various groups trying to gain control of the kingdom's lands. One of these groups is the council of guilds. These guilds have just recently grown in power in the south lands. Their organization in the chaotic times has been a very atractive idea for most citizens. These guilds have been attracting more and more members lately and it is only a matter of time until they grow to be one of the most powerful groups in Sajenda, if the council doesn't fall apart before then... You, the players, are all members of these guilds. The war that has just ended was fought by all the nations of Ogbanar against a force from somewhere across the ocean. Far beyond the reach of any of Ogbanar's peoples. These Dromkarians wore black bone armor that seemed to blend with shadows. Fighting alongside them were the Dromkarian War Beasts (skygge) who most believe are no more than mindless monsters. These creatures are of course hated by the people of the world as are those who 'commanded' them during the war. Keep these things in mind when making a character. The only real source restrictions are that no campaign specific materials are allowed. These would be anything faerun or eberron. If you want to petition for something to be added, feel free to ask Orcy and he will decide if it is suitable for the setting. You may play any class that is not campaign specific. Artificer and Purple Dragon Knights or Red Wizards of Thay are examples of that. Stats will be 32 Point Buy or you can Ask Orcy to roll them for you and you will choose between two sets Orcy has rolled. Races follow the same restrictions as the classes. You may also play a Sangorian or a Blood Orc, two races that are campaign specific. Send a PM to Orcy if you would like any information on either of these two races. Characters will start at level 8. Hit Points will be Half/Half+1/Half/Half+1 and so on, or you can risk Orcy rolling them himself. As usual, Orcy reserves the right to ask for a character to be changed because he doesn't believe it is balanced. You may be a part of any guild you choose, the guilds themselves do not need to be renamed but Orcy would appreciate a "game name" for things like "The Guild of Ultimate Evil" as he very much doubts it would be an attractive name to most common folk. The Guild System: The guilds are organized into a council where the three most powerful of the guilds make up the council of three. This council then guides the guilds decisions. To be selected to the council, the guild hold a vote, all members of the guilds are allowed to vote, so it is in a guilds best interest to attract the most followers. Followers who join guilds are often based off of public opinon of them. Their actions in public effect this opinion. So those guilds who murder randomly for fun are far less likely to have as many followers as a guild that spends it's time helping people. Of course, the many battles the guilds will face in their rise will also influence this opinion. The tribes that live on the edge of Migrod plains have been pushing further into these lands and are just one example of what one might face. This thread is for any questions that you might have about the game. Once a few players have joined Orcy will open the first of the in game threads, most likely taking place within the city itself. A good chance to build up a bit of a reputation amongst the citys goodly folk, or perhaps amongst the city's shadow dwellers. Welcome to the Guildlands of Ogbanar. |

Mantra: Fight as one. Protect as one. Learn from the Nine. Guild House Description (outside only): A single keep rising three stories above the ground. It has nine side, each with a banner and a sword under it. Guild Symbol: A bandaged hand grasping nine diffrent swords. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-12-06, 05:58 PM | Orcy mentioned that there are no campaign specific races, this would include the warforged. Orcy likes the creativity, but recall that Orcy said guilds are just now rising in power. It is very unlikely that a guild is in control of nine keeps. As he said, this is primarily a thread for information and questions at the moment so we can get guilds set up and ready. Most of the guilds occupy a guild house in the main city of the guilds in the southern Sajenda region, seperated from the rest of Sajenda's once-large territory by it's rivers. So while at the moment guilds will not be in massive buildings of almighty stone and steel, they have a potential to advance into such. |
| Wilds12-12-06, 07:31 PM | Character will be Patyr (Human Sorcerer 6, Pact-bound Adept 2) Patyr is interested in starting a guild dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge on a non-divine level. Basically, any knowledge with out consulting the divine to get it. |

One of the last entries in MM3, warforged, warforged charger, and warforged scout. I'll tone it down on the powerful, massive nine keeps. Would nine seperate buildings work? |
| thasis12-13-06, 12:39 AM | Guild Name: The Guild Of Ultimate Evil Public Name: The Order of Old Leader: Unknown Mantra: The only way to rule is to rule with power. Authority and reformation into one ideal is mandatory... through whatever means necessary. Guild House Description: A large gothic-styled temple. A large pentagram painted red (rumared with the blood of fallen skygge) lies above the large gospel doors. Motivation and Information: Formed by a group known as The Three, their public message is that the only way to return to the ways of old unity is to have everyone unified under one banner and one ideology, whatever it requires. The guild's three leaders are ex-members of a group of necromancers who aligned themselves with the Skygge during the invasion. The public is not aware of this information however. It is rumared that The Three are secretly pawns in the schemes of another being, but no evidence points in that direction. Of The Three, two of them seem to follow one, Lucien. Lucien is a human necromancer (8 Wizard) and seems to come and go as he pleases, always leaving strange orders, working mainly through minions. Information From Thasis: Lucien will be my main character, but I prefer to work through lower level assosiates in the guild. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-13-06, 01:26 AM | One of the last entries in MM3, warforged, warforged charger, and warforged scout. I'll tone it down on the powerful, massive nine keeps. Would nine seperate buildings work? They may be in the monster manual three but the fact remains that they are Eberron creatures. They do not fit into the world of Ogbanar. Warforged are advanced constructs created by the machinery and advanced technology of Eberron. Ogbanar does not have such technology, and so Warforged don't fit into the world. Orcy is sorry, in fact he likes the warforged, but they don't fit into the world. As for the buildings, guild houses are allotted to each organization by the council of three that rule the guilds. One needs to grow in power and funding before building outside the city walls and whatnot. Your building could certainly have nine rooms dedicated to various ideas and whatnot. But as Orcy said, the guilds are not all powerful and infinately funded. You can certainly work toward having nine seperate keeps in the guildlands area, it will cost quite a bit but its possible to work toward. It just isn't something you'd start with, remember, the land is in chaos and a war has just ended. What keeps there were would be largely demolished, the city managed to survive mainly because the bridge that leads across the river. This was organized by the guilds which formed the first council and is likely the only reason the guildlands are still in tact. Anyway... as Orcy said. Warforged won't work in this campaign setting. He is sorry, but they just won't work. |
| Dyne12-13-06, 04:21 PM | This looks pretty cool. I'll have to think up what type of character I'd play for this game. Are you looking for DM's or any other assistance with running this game? If so, I'd like to help in what way I can. |

| Sssargoth12-13-06, 05:32 PM | Ok, I'll go Elan with him... What is the gold limit for building our keeps? Standard gold from landlord feat for 9th level? Elan don't exist in Ogbanar either. Also, you start at 8th level, not 9th. |
| thasis12-13-06, 05:36 PM | What happened to the other DMs Jaggar and NecroDude? |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-13-06, 05:45 PM | Jagggar is around as far as Orcy knows. But yes, Elan aren't available for play either. Orcy dislikes Elan quite a bit because he feels their powers are a bit... much. And as Orcy said... you don't need to build a keep. The building is given to guilds. You don't NEED to build a guild either. But if you insist on building something... you'd have to do it outside the city somewhere... Orcy will be putting up a map of the immediate area around the guildlands and whatnot in the near future. |

If so, then I'm going to have to bow out. |
| Wilds12-13-06, 09:46 PM | What do swordsages do? I dont have the book and am not fond of buying a book, from which i hear, is insane |
| turalisj12-13-06, 10:05 PM | What do swordsages do? I dont have the book and am not fond of buying a book, from which i hear, is insane I like to call them to new age Samurai (which I'm sure to get yelled at by anime and history experts). They train in one of six schools of fighting. Depending on your choices, you can be an very powerful melee character, putting you nearly on par with spellcasters at high levels. |
| thasis12-13-06, 10:48 PM | Well for balance-wise, if you compare them to a Fighter balance wise they out-due them by far, but if you compare them to Wizards then you are balanced. So it depends how you want to look at it. I've had them play under me before, and they were powerful definitly, but not any more powerful then a wizard. Didn't help that the player was an experianced build-master and powergammer either... *shakes fist*. Still managed to balance though. |

And I'm not too experienced with making them (although I am smart enough to know what manuevers are powerful and which ones not). The Swordsage has been called the wizard of the melee classes. |
| Wilds12-13-06, 11:52 PM | O well that sounds interesting. Nice to see some dedicated melee is comparable to a wizard at higher levels. Guild Name: Way of the Five Spheres Public Name: Five Lights Leader: Patyr (Human Sorcerer 6/ Pact-Bound Adept 2) Mantra: The Path is lit by all and none Guild House: What ever local dwellings guild members establish, possibly permanent, most likely temporary, but temporary may be measured in years. |
| thasis12-14-06, 12:46 AM | I prefer to stay pure-core when initialy creating my character. Everything past that for me seems to be open game though XD |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-14-06, 01:24 AM | Orcy has never tried a swordsage but hes willing to try most things at least once. So we'll see what comes of it, Orcy doubts it will be too bad. Just need to come up with a race that works. He is sorry thats its being so troublesome and he should have listed no Elans... |
| Wilds12-14-06, 07:51 AM | you dislike them because of their racial abilities? |
| turalisj12-14-06, 04:40 PM | Well, you are an aberration (thus unaffected by spells targeting humans), and have a reserve of two pp. Then, there are the three R's that allow you to eaither soak up damage, not need to eat, or gain a bonus on rolls. Then if you have Complete Psionic, there are feats that double these abilities. Yeah, I can see where Orcy doesn't like them. They are easy to get carried away with. Questions: How much gold do we start with to make a guild house? How many followers do we get? Any limits on followers? And is there any way to gain some income? For instance, say I want my guildhouse to include a small tavern, a shop, and some docks. All three of those make it possible to have some sort of monthly income. |

There is a building that the guilds are in already. # of followers depends on what you do for or to the people. You want a tavern, start one your self, same for a shop. You want docks, go to a coastal city, because your in the middle of a desert and Ogbanar has no airships. |

Lets see. As Orcy said you do not need to build your own guild house. A building is supplied for each guild. You do not need to create your own guild if you don't want to, but you appear to want to. If you want a tavern, then you need to pay for it and find a location. If you want docks, you'll need to be on the coast. To clear things up, we are not starting IN Sajenda. Sajenda is a desert city. The area we are starting is the city to the southwest of the desert. So there are coasts nearby but not within the city walls. It would take a bit of protection to be able to defend it by yourself. Your followers are gained by the leadership score. If you have the leadership score to get the followers, then you get them. Guild followers will be worked a different way as determined by rules Orcy has not yet completely finished. That will depend on your status rating in the community. Do good things and you get a higher rating. Do bad things (openly) and you'll likely get a lower rating (which can be better to attract the darker side of the community). |
| Zombomaniac12-15-06, 09:02 PM | Osru (Human Wizard 5/Sand Shaper 3) True Neutral Osru is a Sell Spell. A mercenary Caster will to bo whatever the emplyer wants. He has his limits, but these are few and far between. unlike most Sand Shapers he cares little for worl conquest. He merely wants to live from moment to moment and as he sees fit and nothing more. Orcy on mention of my Sand Shaper I must point out his Touchstone feat (located in Sandstorm). The Touchstone feat makes it where he gets a power from visiting a certain desert location (dont worry it isn't broken). This isn't a "campaign specific material" you would just have to put a "City of the Dead" (as detailed in Sandstorm) somewhere in the desert. |
| Zombomaniac12-16-06, 02:06 AM | Also Since we are going to be in a city surrounded by desert I would assume we will be using Sandstorm and Cityscape a lot. Since it is a Desert City. Also I have me PC made. 100% done. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-16-06, 02:07 AM | Hmm... well theres no real place for a city of the dead in Sajenda. Which is the only real desert. There is however a portion of the Tephanok wastelands that has undead. It isn't desert however. |
| Zombomaniac12-16-06, 02:11 AM | Hmm... well theres no real place for a city of the dead in Sajenda. Which is the only real desert. There is however a portion of the Tephanok wastelands that has undead. It isn't desert however. We'll just have to figure something out. We could change it from "City of the Dead" to "Temple of the Dead" Same rules just diffirent size. it goes from being a city to one buildin out in the desert. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-16-06, 02:24 AM | Well, what exactly is the power your character will be getting from this, you can PM Orcy if you don't want others to know. Also... for the last time... Sajenda is a desert yes. But we are NOT starting in Sajenda the CITY. The name of the city we are starting in is Jeleng, it is the city of the guilds. If you take a look at the map there is a city to the southwest of Sajenda desert. That is the city the game will begin in. Orcy will be typing up some information soon about currently established guilds and the reputation points system. |
| Zombomaniac12-16-06, 03:02 AM | To become a Sand Shaper you must take the Touchstone (City of the dead) feat. Basicly you need 8 ranks in knowledge (local) and then you have to venture into the City to gain the power this place gives you. The City of the Dead gives to a +1 insight bonus on all Char-based checks and your char-based spells get a +1 insight bonus on caster level checks to over come SR. Also it gives you the spell-like ability mass charm monster/once a week. The draw backs on Touchstone feats is I can only use the mass charm monst 4 time and then i have to go back to the City of the dead and "recharge" it. Sand Shapers draw their power mostly from the Arcane and partly from the desert itself. I dont see a "Jeleng" on the map. Is it in/near the desert? |
| Sssargoth12-16-06, 03:16 AM | I dont see a "Jeleng" on the map. Is it in/near the desert? I believe it is the large city on the peninsula on the south-western part of the main continent. |
| Zombomaniac12-16-06, 03:21 AM | I believe it is the large city on the peninsula on the south-western part of the main continent. Names next to the dots might help us. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-16-06, 03:25 AM | http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v353/BaddieX51/Ogbanar/rogclose.gif Finished the close up map. Also, Mass Charm Monster once a week? A level 8 spell once a week up to four times before having to go into a place? Orcy doesn't see that balanced in any way shape or form. Even if you can only use it four times before you have to go back to this city that doesn't exist. Theres really no place for a city of the dead in Sajenda. Also, if it did... Orcy would suspect a level 8 character wouldn't survive encountering that Mummy Lord cleric. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-16-06, 03:37 AM | After speaking to a friend with Sandstorm, Orcy will allow you to take the feat. You cannot however have the High Order ability that gives you that charm monster ability. Unless of course you plan to defeat the Mummy Lord... In other news, Orcy was going to type up information about Reputation points and whatnot along with a list of Currently established guilds (NPC run). But all this chatting and what not about this feat has distracted him, so hes going to sleep and will post in the morning. |

| turalisj12-16-06, 04:38 PM | If we take leadership, does that mean we can select the classes of our followers? Also, mind if I make a similar game on Rpol.net? |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-16-06, 05:13 PM | Yes you can select the class levels of your followers. This must be with the same restrictions that you currently face for your own characters and within reason. There is also no 'trading up' for higher level followers in this as there was in the guild wars before it. |
| thasis12-17-06, 05:34 PM | I'll write up my character sometime toomarow hopefully, or if I get the time maybe tonight. Things seem to be lookin good. Don't let this collapse now :) |

Ok, since the three guilds that have been made each have 0 reputation, what does that mean for guild followers? How much do we start with? |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-18-06, 01:39 AM | There is nothing that says he cannot gain help from a guild in return for his services for say... three months? If Zombo has an AIM, we could set up the meeting there... Ok, since the three guilds that have been made each have 0 reputation, what does that mean for guild followers? How much do we start with? This particular Mummy Lord = CR 15 As for number of followers at the moment Orcy will probably set each guild up with 5 to begin with (making it a total of 6). As he said, things will begin small, gotta start somewhere. At the moment Orcy has one adventure zone nearly ready to post up and he believes he will be posting the city thread soon. Which will be for roleplaying within the walls of the city and hearing about new opportunities and whatnot. |
| Zombomaniac12-18-06, 01:48 AM | @Orcy I have my PC completly made, but I might change a couple thing before I send it to you, but one the sending subject where do you want us to put these? Aye, I'm nearly done with just a few more adjustments. Sadly, I can't take the PrC I want (eternal blade) until lvl13 when I have a +10 Bab... This is me being sad for you::weep: This is me also not caring::whatsthis And this is me telling you I am kidding::P :D I will have my character ready hopefully wiht in a day or two. just need to sort through the srd to find what i need, my main books are at school:weep: If the info is easy to get (not a lot of typing) then I'll help. i got my main books.:) There is nothing that says he cannot gain help from a guild in return for his services for say... three months? When I saw three months I thought "thats way to long" then I remembered the Mass Charm Monster and thought "Thats a really good offer" :D If Zombo has an AIM, we could set up the meeting there... My username is TheGrandBook. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-18-06, 01:20 PM | When you finish your characters send them to Orcy in a PM. Orcy will be at an in-person game most of the day so he won't be able to check until later. When he gets back he'll see if theres any sheets in and try to get the city thread posted up... when he finally decides how hes going to set it up. He already has one adventure location half done so things will be ready very soon. |
| turalisj12-18-06, 07:59 PM | Well Zombo, I was going to suggest six months. But I decided that goes against a group that is mostly Chaotic Good. |
| Zombomaniac12-18-06, 10:22 PM | Well Zombo, I was going to suggest six months. But I decided that goes against a group that is mostly Chaotic Good. True that I suppose. Whats your AIM username? |
| Wilds12-20-06, 02:54 PM | How much money do we start with? I cant find it in the srd |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-20-06, 03:28 PM | The starting gold is 27,000gp. Orcy has posted the first thread for the game and hopes to see character sheets and roleplaying soon. |
| Wilds12-20-06, 04:37 PM | I will be pming my char sheet to you soon, i got most of it done so far. Only items and the dragon pact to work out basically, and feats, but thats what draconic feats are for. Basically, i should have the char sheet to you by tomorrow night. Can i rp in character though? |
| turalisj12-20-06, 04:49 PM | True that I suppose. Whats your AIM username? Turalisj89 but I wont be on my AIM until the weekend. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-20-06, 06:09 PM | I will be pming my char sheet to you soon, i got most of it done so far. Only items and the dragon pact to work out basically, and feats, but thats what draconic feats are for. Basically, i should have the char sheet to you by tomorrow night. Can i rp in character though? You can RP in character if you'd like, just make sure to get that sheet to Orcy before you start any trouble or go on an adventure or whatnot. |
| Ashariana12-20-06, 07:09 PM | I've been looking around for a game for a while, I created a character and sent it to you. I don't know what guild I might join right now. But I guess that will come when it comes. I think I'll head over to the city post. |
| turalisj12-20-06, 08:32 PM | You can RP in character if you'd like, just make sure to get that sheet to Orcy before you start any trouble or go on an adventure or whatnot. I just sent my character sheet in to you Orcy. Hopefull, reading it isn't too much of a pain... |
| turalisj12-20-06, 11:29 PM | Hey Orcy, question.... My character wants to look a for a weapon of legacy, specifically one of the nine swords. I want to look for the sword Supernal Clarity. Now, what kind of a check would I need to make to look for the weapon's history in a library? |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-20-06, 11:42 PM | You would need a search check to find books on the subject of legendary weapons. Then you would need to read over the books and make some checks, most likely knowledge history, to determine what exactly the passages and whatnot mean and where this item may be found. Since you are just starting out, plan on it taking a bit for you to actually be strong enough to take a legendary weapon. |
| turalisj12-20-06, 11:54 PM | Ok. Time to spend long hours and many nights in the library! |
| thasis12-21-06, 01:29 AM | Man... I still have to create my character. I'm such a slacker... but I've been busy with WoW and creating my campaign so I have somewhat of an excuse. I'll see what I can do as of toomarow. |
| turalisj12-21-06, 04:37 PM | Man... I still have to create my character. I'm such a slacker... but I've been busy with WoW and creating my campaign so I have somewhat of an excuse. I'll see what I can do as of toomarow. Bah, I've been playing Guild Wars (the actual computer game, not this), plus I'm working on a campaign setting. Yet I still got my character in quickly..... By the way, why the hell would the city allow someone to be riding a dragon around? I mean, there have to be some kind of limits on what you can have and not have..... |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-21-06, 04:40 PM | Bah, I've been playing Guild Wars (the actual computer game, not this), plus I'm working on a campaign setting. Yet I still got my character in quickly..... By the way, why the hell would the city allow someone to be riding a dragon around? I mean, there have to be some kind of limits on what you can have and not have..... They aren't. If he stays in the city on that thing too long the guards will be on him. But it takes a little bit for guards to feel they have enough people to go after a man riding on the back of a dragon. In fact, it shouldn't be in town. But it has been seen and he is allowed to be dropped off into the city from it's back. He is not supposed to have it in the city however. |
| turalisj12-21-06, 04:46 PM | Hm... Is it possible to have my guild merge with the defender's guild? |
| Wilds12-21-06, 05:04 PM | Ok, so i didnt bring my books and feel stupid becaue of it. do feats go 1,3,6 level? and could my sorcerer use a blessed book as a travel log? instead of something to scribe spell in. and if not, could i make/buy a book that is the same as the blessed book, but w/o the scribing part? |
| turalisj12-21-06, 05:07 PM | Lol, Wilds. Yes, you get feats at 1st, 3rd, and 6th levels. |
| Zombomaniac12-21-06, 06:05 PM | do feats go 1,3,6 level? Yes and could my sorcerer use a blessed book as a travel log? instead of something to scribe spell in. and if not, could i make/buy a book that is the same as the blessed book, but w/o the scribing part? I dont see why not. Orcy, Dm ruling? |
| Wilds12-21-06, 09:24 PM | Lol, Wilds. Yes, you get feats at 1st, 3rd, and 6th levels. :embarrass ya...i felt like errr.... why cant i remember this, its so simple.... |
| turalisj12-21-06, 09:26 PM | :embarrass ya...i felt like errr.... why cant i remember this, its so simple.... Lay off the caffine dude. And the crack. And the...yeah, I'll stop there. :D |
| Wilds12-21-06, 09:49 PM | Lay off the caffine dude. And the crack. And the...yeah, I'll stop there. :D i almost wish i was on something that would give me an excuse....... |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-22-06, 01:09 AM | Orcy isn't quite sure what a blessed book is, but if he remembers correctly, it has a whole lot of pages in a short amount of space? |
| turalisj12-22-06, 08:52 AM | Blessed Book of Boccob |
| Wilds12-22-06, 11:50 AM | woot for SRD Blessed Book: This well-made tome is always of small size, typically no more than 12 inches tall, 8 inches wide, and 1 inch thick. All such books are durable, waterproof, bound with iron overlaid with silver, and locked. A wizard can fill the 1,000 pages of a blessed book with spells without paying the 100 gp per page material cost. This book is never found as randomly generated treasure with spells already inscribed in it. Moderate transmutation; CL 7th; Craft Wondrous Item, secret page; Price 12,500 gp;Weight 1 lb. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-22-06, 02:20 PM | Orcy doesn't see a problem with you writing in the book. It seems an awful lot to use for that purpose, but if thats what you wish to do, go for it. |
| Zombomaniac12-22-06, 03:38 PM | Orcy I have my PC made, but I can't PM it to you right now (I'm not at home:( ), but once I do PM you can I start up in that Fleshripper battle? |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-22-06, 04:18 PM | Since you'd have likely been in the city hearing the announcement, Orcy doesn't see why you wouldn't be able to pop in, he'll just need the character and he'll cue you when yer up. |
| turalisj12-22-06, 05:56 PM | What about me? The fight'll be over by the time I get there.. |
| Zombomaniac12-22-06, 05:58 PM | My PC is done, but for one fact. I need a way to carry 15 pounds of sand with me. How can I do this and How much will it cost me? |
| turalisj12-22-06, 06:06 PM | My PC is done, but for one fact. I need a way to carry 15 pounds of sand with me. How can I do this and How much will it cost me? A large gourd on your back is the most common way :P |
| Zombomaniac12-22-06, 06:11 PM | A large gourd on your back is the most common way :P How much will it cost me and how much will it weigh (without the sand)? Making a reference to Garra from Naruto?:P I would gladly carry the Garra-gourd if it ment having 15+ pounds of sand with me at all times. |
| turalisj12-22-06, 06:20 PM | How much will it cost me and how much will it weigh (without the sand)? Making a reference to Garra from Naruto?:P I would gladly carry the Garra-gourd if it ment having 15+ pounds of sand with me at all times. Depends on what it is made of. I would think a large gourd made from clay would be around 3gp, and wiegh around 4lbs. A metal gourd would cost and wiegh more, but it wouldn't have the tendancy of shattering. Or you can just buy a bag of holding type II. |

I have the 2500 for type 1 but not the 5000 for type 2. I am surprised Bag of holding didn't come to mind on ways to do this. |
| turalisj12-22-06, 06:28 PM | Bag of holding 1 would work right? I have the 2500 for type 1 but not the 5000 for type 2. Lol, I have like 7k leftover. Yeah, type I would work. Just open the bag and out pops the sand. |
| Zombomaniac12-22-06, 06:31 PM | Lol, I have like 7k leftover. Yeah, type I would work. Just open the bag and out pops the sand. Thanks man. 7k? Why? I spent all mine on stuff. |
| turalisj12-22-06, 06:55 PM | Thanks man. 7k? Why? I spent all mine on stuff. I'm saving it up for getting a legacy weapon. Specificaly, supernal clarity. |
| Zombomaniac12-22-06, 07:33 PM | I'm saving it up for getting a legacy weapon. Specificaly, supernal clarity. Oh ya I remember you saying that now. Good luck and if your guild hires me I will see what I can do to help. |
| turalisj12-22-06, 07:39 PM | Actualy, I'm wondering if my guild can merge with the defender's guild. |
| Zombomaniac12-22-06, 07:42 PM | Actualy, I'm wondering if my guild can merge with the defender's guild. Then if you do merge and they hire me for a job that could help you i will see what I can do. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-23-06, 12:47 AM | Alright, yes your guild can merge with the defenders, you'll have to work it out with them in character. Orcy would say a bag of holding should be able to hold well over 15lbs of sand. Finally... Turalisj, have patience, you are getting close to your show-up time. |

Does he look good or did I miss anything? |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-23-06, 01:29 AM | Looks alright to Orcy, but he does notice you haven't listed any spells or whatnot. |
| Zombomaniac12-23-06, 01:31 AM | Looks alright to Orcy, but he does notice you haven't listed any spells or whatnot. Oh what spells I have prepared today? i forgot about that. |
| turalisj12-23-06, 01:40 AM | Don't forget to buy spell focus and material components. |
| Wilds12-23-06, 01:43 AM | The blessed book is more for rp and such. My char is supposed to be a scholary sorcerer of sorts. He uses the book has his travel log/research recorded. It hopefully holds now how he came to where he is and what knowledge he knows about the local area and its various magical things and creatures in the area. The char will record any information he can on the goblins and the other creatures attacking and note the defenders strategy. He is going to join the fight though |
| Zombomaniac12-23-06, 01:44 AM | Don't forget to buy spell focus and material components. I am choosing my spells right now and so far all martial componts likely cost a couple silver (mabye less) or can be found on the ground. If it isn't something like "Gem worth 200 gp" or etc do I really need to list it in my items and such? |
| Zombomaniac12-23-06, 01:45 AM | The blessed book is more for rp and such. My char is supposed to be a scholary sorcerer of sorts. He uses the book has his travel log/research recorded. | Skull_of_Shadow12-23-06, 01:47 AM | Well, theres plenty of gobs and hobs goin round. I'm killin as many as I can but they're swarmin all over the place. Thats why orcy is taking so long to post, lotta actions. |
| Sssargoth12-23-06, 01:52 AM | The blessed book is more for rp and such. My char is supposed to be a scholary sorcerer of sorts. He uses the book has his travel log/research recorded. The char will record any information he can on the goblins and the other creatures attacking and note the defenders strategy. He is going to join the fight though Maby he would like to join "The Order of the Unseen", which is the guild my charicter is starting. They concentrate mostly on information gathering and espionage...then selling that information to the highest bidder. But he doesnt need to know that last part.:D |
| turalisj12-23-06, 01:59 AM | Maby he would like to join "The Order of the Unseen", which is the guild my charicter is starting. They concentrate mostly on information gathering and espionage...then selling that information to the highest bidder. But he doesnt need to know that last part.:D The SB&B won't like that. They won't like that at all. Also, anyone want to do a little 1v1 with my character over AIM while I'm waiting? I'm seriously considering investing in a carpet of flying after this. |
| Sssargoth12-23-06, 02:10 AM | The SB&B won't like that. They won't like that at all. Its not like you would ever know who leads the Order, since they will always look different from day-to-day or just keep a low profile by 'joining' another guild. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-23-06, 02:22 AM | Posts up, Amara's turn then Norax and Patyr can go. Orcy had more RP and flavor but he closed the post and well, he just put in what was really important... But as he says on the thread, he appoligizes for being an idiot. |
| turalisj12-23-06, 02:27 AM | Hey, no apologies needed, realy. I don't know many people who would take on running a game like this, let alone doing by himself. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-23-06, 02:32 AM | It has been too long since things have really been happening around here. Orcy wanted to see some life come back into the guild house. It brings a big smile to his face everytime he comes by and sees that he has a lot to catch up on, or a lot of RP going on. The confrontation on the steps of the library made Orcy very happy since there was some RP going on at the guild house again. Orcy may not be a GM anymore, but the guild house is still his baby. |
| turalisj12-23-06, 02:42 AM | Lol, Orcy having grandfatherly feelings towards this place? On another note, I think the hobgoblin is dead. And is now a crispy treat for a dragon. :P |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-23-06, 02:47 AM | Nearest hob wasn't caught in any battle yet. Hes been on the outskirts trying to get in. So you got a nice and fresh hob barbarian to play with. Dead? Nope. But you did hit him pretty well. Orcy thinks he'll go to bed since he doesn't see Wilds on at the moment. Hopefully he'll post some time while Orcy sleeps all grandfatherly (that is, out cold) and we get some hobs cooking. |
| turalisj12-23-06, 02:50 AM | I can fix that next turn. |
| Zombomaniac12-23-06, 11:52 AM | I can fix that next turn. So can I as soon as I am in.:D |
| Wilds12-23-06, 12:01 PM | Posted, sorry, didnt see any new posts before i fell asleep. I've just realized my char is good for rp and non-combat. I need some more explosives mes thinks :D. Thats something to work towards. O, my char is interested in gaining knowledge of power. He seeks to gain more power through arcane means. Dragonpacts were the first step, after pact-bound adept, who knows |
| thasis12-23-06, 03:45 PM | Finnaly created my character (All Core to *acts surprised*). So I'm goin to jump in XD |
| turalisj12-23-06, 04:25 PM | Heh, Thasis, you're character is guaranteed to get his butt kicked all around. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-23-06, 04:30 PM | I seem to have forgotten to include the attacks on you Turalisj... going to edit that in a second. |
| turalisj12-23-06, 05:07 PM | That's alright Orcy, the hobgoblin got a little retribution for his efforts :P edit: Also, that post is not my turn for this round. It is an immediate action, used just after the hobgoblin struck me (so just after the hobgoblin's attack action) |
| Skull_of_Shadow12-23-06, 11:44 PM | If that wasn't your attack this round, then you need to take your turn, so does wilds, thasis, and sssargoth. I'm at the end of the list just before the enemies. Ya'll are in between me Ashariana and me, so after she posts throw your posts up, ya'll come in on top of the order so it don't matter the order you do it in, you all act bout the same time. Just before me... and I wanna burn stuff, so lets go! |
| turalisj12-23-06, 11:46 PM | Yeah, yeah.... This battle is realy heating up thought :P |
| Skull_of_Shadow12-23-06, 11:51 PM | Yes, because I'm burning stuff. It would make Zeiram proud. (he used to throw fireballs... a lot) |
| turalisj12-24-06, 12:09 AM | And Zombo is charring a few hobgobs, and I had entered the battle as an elven swordsman strapped to a rocket :P |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-24-06, 12:19 AM | Orcy agrees, lets get some posting going! That way, Orcy can smite you all with his gobbish wrath... or something like that. |
| turalisj12-24-06, 01:12 AM | Not likely. You have several dozen npc's, against an equal number of npc's and pc's. If it was npc vs npc, it is possible the goblins might have won. However, as there are an increasing number of pc's joining the fight, and no more goblin's joining, then the goblin's are as good as dead. |
| thasis12-24-06, 01:30 AM | Heh, Thasis, you're character is guaranteed to get his butt kicked all around. I thought my character was designed fairly well for what he does :P The low HP sucks ass though *shakes fist*. I chose some good spells though :D So why do you think my character is goin to get his buttkicked? ;) :P |
| turalisj12-24-06, 03:26 AM | I thought my character was designed fairly well for what he does :P The low HP sucks ass though *shakes fist*. I chose some good spells though :D So why do you think my character is goin to get his buttkicked? ;) :P Tell me, what would his hp be at by level 17? If it is anything less than 100, he'll be dead. Because by level 17, my character can deal 100pts of fire damage in a cone, every other round. ^_^' |
| Wilds12-24-06, 11:38 AM | Sorry all, but i am not going to be online for about the next 10 days starting on the 26th, family time. it is more so, i will not be near a computer. Patyr will retire to the library shortly as the battle seems to be under control and resume his research for the time i am gone. he can be consulted by any one looking for info in arcane, divine, nature or geography. +16 arcane, + 6 divine, + 6 nature and + 6 geography. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-24-06, 12:11 PM | *begins swatting Turalisj with a rolled up newspaper* What has Orcy told you about threatening people with cockyness! *swat* Don't make Orcy get the club. :P |
| thasis12-24-06, 02:57 PM | Tell me, what would his hp be at by level 17? If it is anything less than 100, he'll be dead. Because by level 17, my character can deal 100pts of fire damage in a cone, every other round. ^_^' Hmmm... well that's the way of the Wizard I guess. I hope not to encounter you in a fight I guess. My character isn't one usualy for direct conflict anyways. :D I usualy don't get to attatched to a character anyways (other then the Thasi...) so if I loose him I'll just play as the heir to the throne of the GoUE. |
| Zombomaniac12-25-06, 09:02 AM | Merry Christmas!!! :cheer: :w00t: :coolcthul :w00t: :cheer: |
| thasis12-25-06, 01:07 PM | Happy Jesus Day!!! :P  :evillaugh |
| turalisj12-25-06, 01:20 PM | Happy Jesus Day!!! :P  :evillaugh Actualy, X-mas is a historical inacurracy. Biblical historians points Jesus's b-day more along the lines of easter time. :P By the way Orcy, post updated. |
| thasis12-25-06, 04:04 PM | Haha, yah, I know. I mentioned that to my parents the other day. They were like... "W/E" and I was like "Meh...". Haha! |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-25-06, 05:02 PM | And like, oh my gawd! They were like, SOOOOO rude. I mean, like, totally. Sorry, Orcy does that when like, theres a lot of like, likes. At least like, in one like, sentance... *shrugs* Orcy shouldn't mock you, he says like a lot when he can't think of how to describe something quickly. But anywho, merry christmas folks, and happy holidays to those of you who don't celebrate Christmas. Last, but not least, happy festivus for the rest of yas. |
| Wilds12-25-06, 09:29 PM | Winter Solstice any one? i dont really care what it is, time for family |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-26-06, 12:21 PM | Orcy hopes everyone had a good christmas or one of the various other holidays that folks celebrate about now. In game news, we just need zombo to post so Skull of Shadow can post and Orcy can smite you all with goblin corpses! Hmm... that gives Orcy an idea... quick, someone find him a necromancer! |

Opps srry didn't know it was my turn.:embarrass |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-26-06, 02:56 PM | Yep, all of the players are after Ashariana (last in the turn) and before Skull of Shadow (first in the turn when Initiative was rolled). Since you all came late in the battle you are considered to have 'rolled' a 20 for initiative. So after you see Ashariana post, all of you can take a turn. |

Since you all came late in the battle you are considered to have 'rolled' a 20 for initiative. So after you see Ashariana post, all of you can take a turn. Ok thanks. Also I am planning on making a city campaign for the next time I DM with my friends. I was wondering if you would mind me using the Mountian top arena and Orcy for it. I'll make sure they know it was made by you of course. |
| turalisj12-26-06, 08:01 PM | Hey Orcy, would it be ok to bring in guildies as reinforcements? If so, what is the stat gen for making a guild npc? |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-27-06, 01:31 AM | First to adress Zombo's concerns. Yes, Orcy would be fine with you using the arena in your game. Typically there is a cleric of Karanti overseeing the arena. But if you feel you need to use Orcy to do so, he supposes that will be alright with him. As for guildie reinforcements, Orcy has not yet made them. These guildies are NPCs and so will be made by Orcy. If you have any suggestions you might like to pitch in, feel free and Orcy will take them into account since he is not very familiar with these Sword Style classes. |
| Zombomaniac12-27-06, 02:10 AM | First to adress Zombo's concerns. Yes, Orcy would be fine with you using the arena in your game. Typically there is a cleric of Karanti overseeing the arena. But if you feel you need to use Orcy to do so, he supposes that will be alright with him. Thanks.:) I'll likely just use the Cleric. Makes things easier. As for guildie reinforcements, Orcy has not yet made them. These guildies are NPCs and so will be made by Orcy. If you have any suggestions you might like to pitch in, feel free and Orcy will take them into account since he is not very familiar with these Sword Style classes. If you need help just ask. Making NPCs or PCs has always been easy for me. |

Will these be npc or pc classes? I can send you the information for a 1st level swordsage, and I already made a 1st level keep guildy, so that might give you an idea.... |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-27-06, 03:48 PM | At the moment since your guild is a new one, the characters will be NPC classes only. Orcy will set something up, maybe give them that feat that gives you a style or manuver or whatnot. He doubts they'll be coming right into this battle however. Speaking of which, Orcy believes we are waiting on Norax's turn. |
| Dyne12-28-06, 01:31 PM | Whoa, a lot has happened since I was last here. That's a good thing. Time to get caught up, I guess. |
| turalisj12-28-06, 05:36 PM | Yeah, you can join the Keep if you want, we desperatly need new members.... First pc to join gets to select which legacy weapon they want to chase! :D |
| Zombomaniac12-28-06, 10:10 PM | Yeah, you can join the Keep if you want, we desperatly need new members.... First pc to join gets to select which legacy weapon they want to chase! :D Wouldn't which sword they go after depend on which style they use? And weither they even want to get one of the swords?:P |
| Dyne12-28-06, 10:27 PM | I don't even use a sword, I have an axe. |
| Zombomaniac12-28-06, 10:32 PM | I don't even use a sword, I have an axe. I cast spells. |
| Dyne12-28-06, 11:00 PM | I cast spells. I do that too. By-the-way, Orcy, let me know when I'm supposed to post in the Adventure Location thread. |
| Zombomaniac12-28-06, 11:18 PM | Most likely after Ashariana like the rest of us, but we are waiting on one perticular user to post then we get move on with the fight. |
| turalisj12-28-06, 11:27 PM | I missed all my attacks, so you can move on. Right now I need tog et back to my guild wars game, the guild I'm in is doing a gvg... |
| Zombomaniac12-29-06, 12:20 AM | I missed all my attacks, so you can move on. Right now I need tog et back to my guild wars game, the guild I'm in is doing a gvg... GOOD LUCK!!!:D |
| Zombomaniac12-30-06, 06:15 PM | I think it is Skull of Shadow's turn. [Edit] Personal Note: Dont trust Skull of Shadow's PC or Dragon. Also it should now be Ashariana's turn then everyone else. |
| turalisj12-30-06, 11:54 PM | GOOD LUCK!!!:D Heheh, you don't even know what a gvg is, do you? Anyway, Solmund just contacted me for the first time in about a year, so I think he might join in. I'll have to see if he doesn't dissapear again.... :pbbbtt: |
| Zombomaniac12-31-06, 12:53 AM | Dang turalisj. I like Norax. Fire doesn't hurt him and as a desert mage fire is one of my easier damages. Norax is going to be a great ally. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-31-06, 01:21 AM | Amusingly enough he just barely managed to take no damage from the attack because of his save. If it had been one point higher he would have taken some sort of damage from it. Ah, the joys and curses of fire resistance. Orcy hates to inform you this, but the dragon is not likely impressed, after all he is IMMUNE to fire. He swims in lava for a nice bath, because thats how dragons do, Yo. |
| turalisj12-31-06, 01:39 AM | Dang turalisj. I like Norax. Fire doesn't hurt him and as a desert mage fire is one of my easier damages. Norax is going to be a great ally. I don't munchinknise on purpose, but my characters all seem to be getting stronger and bilt better as I understand how to make them better. ^_^ What can I say, I love the desert wind style. I mean, able to fly while charging, then dealing a good deal of damage along with your normal attack?!? And then the Diamond Mind, well... Lets just say I'll be taking down giants with a single swipe by level15.... |
| Ashariana01-01-07, 09:16 PM | Sometimes I wonder if you aren't just begging for Orcy to like, smite you or something. With the bragging about the amazing powers your character has. I mean, its like... you WANT him to send something after you that will kill YOU in one swipe. |
| turalisj01-01-07, 09:23 PM | Meh, I know Orcy well enough that he wont kill me, just leave me crippled and nearly dead. :D |
| Ashariana01-02-07, 12:20 AM | Some of the rest of us however may kill you should you continue to ignore posting on the combat thread. We're waiting for you to go again, and you might want to hurry before skull decides to ignore you and take the honor of the last kill. |
| Skull_of_Shadow01-02-07, 01:40 AM | That was a good idea, now it happend. That way I don't have to bother waiting any more. Yay for dead hobs and gobs... and builders. |
| Zombomaniac01-02-07, 03:44 AM | Meh, I know Orcy well enough that he wont kill me, just leave me crippled and nearly dead. :D So if he had your PC tortured in Hell you wouldn't worry?:P |
| thasis01-03-07, 03:28 AM | Hell... since when is that gone from vacation to punishment...:evillaugh |
| Zombomaniac01-03-07, 08:55 AM | Hell... since when is that gone from vacation to punishment...:evillaugh Depends who you talk to. Me? I own a Condo on the Forth Layor over looking the Pits (it also has a great view of Fiera's shower;) ) |
| turalisj01-03-07, 02:20 PM | My character, if he came back, would have a very diffrent outlook. He would be chatoic evil, and try to kill most stuff he could find. But I doubt the demons would let him go. Instead, I am sure they would perfom some sort of ritual to make him more demonic, then send him into thier armies to fight. |

But I doubt the demons would let him go. Instead, I am sure they would perfom some sort of ritual to make him more demonic, then send him into thier armies to fight. Ummm.....we are talking about HELL. Not the Abyss. Hell = Devils = Lawful Evil Abyss = Demons = Chaotic Evil Not that that is cleared up who thinks Asmodeus is a badas*?:D |
| thasis01-04-07, 01:04 AM | I must agree. He is quite ingenius about it to. Not like "insert stereotypical bad guy" badass, he's like "I stay behind the scenes and screw with everybody" badass. |
| Solmund01-06-07, 07:02 PM | Yeah, I'm back. I'm trying to decide between a kyton or an astral diva to bring in, so it will take me a while. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder01-06-07, 10:02 PM | Since neither of them are an ECL 8, how about neither? Astral Devas are ECL 20. Where a Kyton is ECL 14 Orcy believes. Which rather counts them out of a level 8 game. |
| thasis01-07-07, 02:42 AM | Unfournetly *shakes fist*, either I'd be a Pit Fiend :D |
| turalisj01-07-07, 03:25 AM | I think he means from savage species. I was honestly thinking about playing a fire elemental. |
| redhase01-13-07, 12:39 AM | how about a spy master changeling. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder01-13-07, 01:26 AM | As Orcy said, no campaign specific races, Changelins are Eberron as are warforged and shifters. |
| redhase01-13-07, 03:19 AM | Ok then how about a human rouge, chameleon, spy master. Or an Half elf rouge, spy master. |
| turalisj01-13-07, 01:52 PM | Orcy is a bit adamant.... Changlings are as eberron specific as elves are..... *pulls out his +5 Large greatsword of stubborn dm slaying and pokes orcy with it* :D Dopplegangers + Humans = Changlings Were-creature + Human = Shifter |
| Orcy The Green Wonder01-13-07, 05:42 PM | Changelings = Eberron, they were introduced in eberron and have all of their information and PrCs IN EBERRON Shifters = Same as above. Changelings are eberron specific, you wish proof, go pick up the Eberron Setting. Changelings are in the races section. They are eberron races, though some people might allow them in their campaigns. Orcy is not going to. As for spymaster, that is fine. Chameleon however has been rather ruined for Orcy ever since Gabrion used it... |
| turalisj01-13-07, 05:58 PM | They are also listed in the MM3, making them a general race aswell. *keeps poking orcy* poke, poke Oh, and to try and keep this from turning into an arguement, I'm going to change the topic. I don't know if you realised this, but there are rules in the back of complete adventurer for making random guilds. |
| Zombomaniac01-13-07, 09:11 PM | There is also a lot of Guilds info in Cityscape. Personaly I dont much care if Chanlings and Shifters are allowed. I like them, but they aren't to big to me. In fact I will stand with Orcy on this simply because he is GM and thus gets to choose what goes and doesn't. |
| redhase01-13-07, 09:12 PM | Chameleon, Unseen Seer, and spy master. Maybe a wizard, unseen seer. OR a wizard, unseen seer, spy master. Every power has their spies, even the kingdoms that spy on each other. Dooes any one else know of a good spy class. besides unseen seer, spy master, Chameleon, shadow mind. |
| turalisj01-13-07, 09:35 PM | Shadowdancer, any PrC that gives you bonuses to hide. |
| redhase01-14-07, 08:04 AM | I'm thing of a sorcereress, unseen seer, shadow mind, half elf maybe. Orcy would you allow a general feat from Ebrron, its called Master linguest, or smooth talker general feat fr. They would go good with the classes. |
| turalisj01-14-07, 01:33 PM | It's from Eberron, it's not allowed. Even if it's been reprinted in another book, it is not allowed. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder01-14-07, 02:43 PM | Orcy is going to quote himself here, and would appreciate it if you would stop being so... whats the word Orcy is looking for... ah well. Just stop complaining about it. There will be no Changelings. However, if you would read this... (the above mentioned quote) The only real source restrictions are that no campaign specific materials are allowed. These would be anything faerun or eberron. If you want to petition for something to be added, feel free to ask Orcy and he will decide if it is suitable for the setting. You would see that not everything is banned outright. Changelings however, are. |
| redhase01-14-07, 07:12 PM | Orcy I understand about the changelings, I plan on playing a half elf (wizard or sorcerer/ unseen seer maybe shadow mind). I'm asking that the feat Master Linguest be added to to this game. A spy for some guild or kingdom, unknow as to witch kingdom or guild at this time. Here are some good reasons why, the feat is a general feat and can applied to any character or npc. The feat also will allow characters and npcs to be able to speak and understand multipal languages. Witch would be benfit to your kingdoms to understand other kingdoms languages with out spells being used (if spells or magic items are not avalible at that time.). The feat allows each kingdom to have its own network of spies (witch each kingdom usally has) to be able to speak and understand their emenys languages. Thus giving the kingdom spies the advantages of finding out plots against the kingdom or indivuals in that kingdom. The feat is uasble on any world and allows npcs and characters to be translaters when magics are not available, (wizards and sorcerers are not allways available all the time.) Kingdoms will use every advantage to keep their kingdom secure. Even npc's that have the ability to speak mutipal languages, thus keeping a kingdom safe from its enemys. Every kingdom would have their unquie spy pools that are trained in such areas, that are trained by the state or by sponcered schools of the state. The feat would be used by kingdoms and guilds to be enterputers for other forerneers, and vistors. even rulers would have npcs who could speak many different languages so they could be able to visite the other kingdoms as envoys. Of course each kingdom would have their own specality school to train their own spys, to be placed as bar maids, guild npc's, and other varies kinds of fields in other kingdoms. I am asking that the general feat be allowed (master linguiest) in the game, it is a generale feat and would be a feat all your kingdoms would use to their benfit. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder01-15-07, 12:32 AM | What exactly does the feat Master Linguist do and what book is it from? Also, while Orcy believes you make a good point, there aren't really a lot of 'kingdoms' in this game at the moment. The players are part of guilds in the guild city of Jeleng. Each guild has its own votes and whatnot on the guild council based on membership and those who have the most members and influence gain greater powers in the guildlands and the guild council. This should be prettty clear in Orcy's description of the game. Also, what is this Unseen Seer? |
| redhase01-15-07, 01:35 AM | Thank you orcy first. The master Lingust is in this book:Races of Eberron, page 109 (general feats), the feat does this, from the book. { Master Linguist You have a broad knowledge of language. Prerequisite: Ability to speak four or more languages Benift: each time you gain a level, including the level at witch you select this feat, you learn a new language (as if you had spent 1 skill point on the speak language skill.) word for word form the book} Each kingdom you do have would have their own spy rings to keep tabs on their neibors, as well as the guilds would want to kep their secrets. a guild might hear a remor that they have a spy in their guild, so they might have a unseen seer work in side their guild to check npcs, and look into such remors and check characters and npc's out for that guild. Or one of the guilds such as the goue might wish to find out the strengths of the Iron Kingdom, things like stenghts in city patrolls. How many on patroll, how experanced are the patroll npc's. Do they have good quuified wizards on the city force. What are their strenghts and weakness. How long would it take extra patrolls to come to another patrol aid. How do the ranks work, who is in charge. Is the city commander in debt (gambling, womenzing, pays his other female lovers or lover gold to keep them feed and in a good place to live),or do they like to have affairs. Or their having an affair, and with whom. Do they drink a lot in the beer halls, or at home, drugs?. Who on the city guard forces, drinks alot. What is their sexual prefance, are they married, single? Do they have children by other women other than their wife. How to find ways to gain their trust, then spy on them in person or magicaly: witch ever is best. Plant magical items in their place of residence, use spells to spy form the roof top or hidden in their house. Use spells to see within their house from the same city block. Maybe King Caildrus wonders if his father king Izlode is planning to take over the half he took from his father in the Steel Kingdoms. Maybe the guilds who hold the power in Sajenda wish to find out if the another guild will try to take over the thrown by force,or try to gain control of the young ruler. what of the elfs, do they plan on taking over other areas, since theirs was destroyed. A halfelf unseen seer might be able to find out some information on what the elfs plan to do. And do the elfs allready have their halfelf's spys in the Steel knigdoms, or in Sajenda? By using spells or magical items to change their looks and other ways. I would need a cover identy for my character, such as a wizard working for the wizard guild in a city, an clerk, an assissant. Or other skills they would know or have. working as a bar maid in a tavern, working as an assiatant in some shop (placed by a guild to spy on npc's in the shop, maybe the guild thinks thier spies, or one is a tradtor to the kingdom, or their selling secrets of the guild and their name came up by capturing another npc). So bacically my halfelf character, (if I am allowed to use the feat) will allow him or her to at 3rd level, learn a languge at 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th levels, beside the other intial 4 languages she or he would allready know. I plan on spending the 30 cost points on mainly intellangence, charasima, wisdom score, since she or he will have to be a wizard or sorcerer, rouge to be a unseen seer. The unseen seer is from the complete mage book page: 81. from the book: Mysterious and elusive, the unseen seer trades in secrets. Subterfuge is her business in the same way that death is the assassin's bussiness, ans she uses her magic to help her gather other people's secrets while keeping her own. Basically a wizard spy, who spelizes in spells that allow to read minds, see through walls, hide in plain sight unseen, hearing spells, eye spells, plus some defensive spells to protect them selves. classes that can become an unseen seer are, rouges, ninjas, scouts, spellthiefs, by being a wizard, sorcerer, or other arcane caster first. spheres they use are mostly: enchantment, transmutation, divination, abjuration, illusions, can use all spheres though: they just speclize in certain ones. spells they would know: alter self, arcane eye, arcane sight, blink, charm person, charm monster, clairaudience/clairvoyance, comprehend languges, read magic, cofusion, darkvision, daze, deep slumber, detect scrying, detect secret doors, detect snares and pits, detect thoughts, dimension door, dicern location, disguise self, dispell magic, dominate person, dream, eagle's splender, enlarge person, feather fall, find the path, flare, fog cloud, freedom, foxes cunning, gaseous form, ghost sound, glitter dust, gust of wind, holdperson, invisibility, detect invisiblity, invisibility greater, invisibly sphere, jump, knock, legend lore, levitate, and other spells that allow them to spy or enfluance others. the book [school of illusion] has other good spells that she or he could use. such as: conceal, decoy, dim, distant image, distract, faceless, false thoughts, impersonate, magical deafness, misleading images, perfect impersonation, shadow skin, stolen sight, unatural charm. if you wish to see the spells I can send them to you. The ones she or he would be able to cast. The thought that crossed my mind is a wizard (1nd to 5th level), rouge 6th, unseen seer (7th to 8th level), half elf. Witch kingdom I'll have to pm you to find out where she or he could fit, to become an information gather for them. |
| CaptainShar01-20-07, 02:19 PM | I have submitted a character (Half-Celestial Elf Paladin) and will hopefully be joining all of you in Jeleng soon. |
| Zombomaniac01-31-07, 08:51 AM | Where is everyone? |
| Orcy The Green Wonder01-31-07, 01:18 PM | Whoops, Orcy appears to have missed Wild's post. But he is still waiting on a save from Dench, which he'll need before he can do anything... |
| CaptainShar02-03-07, 01:17 PM | Also, I'm still standing at the front desk in the Defender's Guild... |
| thasis02-10-07, 06:14 PM | Unfournetly I'm going to have to back out as I have to many project's going on including: A real-life D&D campaign, a project I can't discuss about at the momment, and Undeath and Its Beauties. Sorry about this. I had a good time, maybe I'll be back in the future. |
| Ashariana02-27-07, 12:42 PM | The battle IS almost done isn't it? So people who didn't go into it can start doing adventures again. And.. why has nobody been roleplaying at all elsewhere? I don't think everyone is in the MONSTERS! fight... are they? |
| CaptainShar02-27-07, 12:45 PM | Battle's almost over, and I think Turalisj is the only one in the city, currently. If you can find a way to get yourself to the "orc kidnapping" adventure, I think that's where we're going next. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder02-27-07, 02:07 PM | Yes, Orcy too has noticed that there hasn't been much RP lately here. He would like to note... that adventures will only have a set number of people. If you sign up for one and leave before the battle is finished, you should not expect any rewards other than the XP from what you were there for. You will NOT receive any rewards from the NPCs that have set up the mission. The battle is indeed almost over, there is only one enemy left. We just need to wait for Wilds to take his turn. It shouldn't be more than one or two more rounds, if Wilds keeps up. Dyne's game appears to be distracting some people... |
| Zombomaniac02-27-07, 10:26 PM | I posted some RP with Osru. Have at it. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder03-02-07, 11:36 PM | Orcy is going to go ahead and get off his lazy green butt here and post up a small bit of information on the guilds after these last two adventures and whatnot. Guild Name/Reputation Score Rep gained/lost Current Guildsmen Merchants Guild (1) +0 Guildsmen: 22 Defenders Guild (2) +1 Guildsmen: 44 Banker's Union (-1) +0 Guildsmen: 18 Shadows Breath and Blade (-2) +0 Guildsmen: 30 Alchemist's Association (0) +0 Guildsmen: 14 The Ordered Chaos (-3) -1 Guildsmen: 65 The Council of Archmages (3) +0 Guildsmen: 54 (player guilds) The Order of Old (0) -2 Guildsmen: 7 Keep of the Nine Paths (0) +1 Guildsmen: 9 Five Lights (0) +3 Guildsmen: 10 |
| Zombomaniac03-04-07, 02:46 AM | @Skull I'm sure you are ready know this, but whenever someone dies I feel I must say it. If it works for your PC you may want to have him keep a tooth or a scale or something for possible rez. |
| Zombomaniac03-05-07, 12:17 AM | Osru honestly didn't want to join a guild, figured they would be to restricting of him. But if it comes between free and 300+ gold he will join a guild.:) |
| Zombomaniac03-08-07, 10:18 PM | Dang, I kinda wish i made a Gobliniod just so i could be in on the rise of the Horde with Dyne.:P [EDIT] Ok I'm gonna stop postng in this thread for awile since I have been the last 3 posts. |
| Faithful_One03-10-07, 04:42 AM | Hey guys. I am making my character right now and was wondering Do Bracers of Armor +X stack with normal armor? |
| Orcy The Green Wonder03-10-07, 09:53 AM | No, as both grant an armor bonus, they do not stack. The general rule is that benefits of the same kind do not stack. There are, of course, exceptions to the rule. |
| CaptainShar03-10-07, 01:07 PM | Oh...I had that mixed up too. I thought it was some kind of force bonus. I'm going to switch my character's item from Bracers +2 to Ring of Protection +2, then. And I'll subtract the extra gold from my character sheet too. So my new AC is still the same. |
| Faithful_One03-15-07, 08:36 PM | Orcy i sent you my sheet can i post now?:) |
| Orcy The Green Wonder03-15-07, 09:00 PM | Yes sir you may go right ahead. Orcy would suggest starting in the Jeleng thread. |
| Faithful_One03-15-07, 09:05 PM | Thanks Orcy.:) |
| Silver_Flambe03-16-07, 05:42 PM | I too wish to know if I may join the adventure, not to hurry or rush you, but, just curious ;) |
| Orcy The Green Wonder03-16-07, 07:27 PM | All looks well to Orcy, he doesn't have the information on your class, but he has access to it should he need it. But, from what he does know about it, all looks well. |
| Demonfey03-17-07, 02:02 AM | Hm...totemist? Though I can't tell what the second being is... |
| Faithful_One03-17-07, 07:15 AM | I think symbionts (sp). |
| Demonfey03-17-07, 12:04 PM | No, the scaly belt sounds a lot like the wormtail belt, chitinous scales the ankheg breastplate, totem avatar the grey skin, kruthik claws for the scales on his arms, and rage claws on his hands bound to his totem chakra for the claws. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder03-22-07, 12:58 PM | Orcy is sick at the moment and trying to find the concentration to get things going for the new folks. At the moment he is also waiting on Girial to post for the battle to continue. He will be trying to get the Duskwood Forest adventure location posted and ready soon, as well as the housing project under way in case anybody who is currently not posting anywhere would be interested. |

| Orcy The Green Wonder03-22-07, 03:36 PM | Dusksong... and you know it. Accursed screaming... thing. |
| Dyne03-22-07, 03:43 PM | Hehehe... He said Duskwood... after that I'm going to Stranglethorn Vale and down to Booty Bay! And I'm gonna go jump off Thunderbluff mesa... again. |

| Dyne03-23-07, 03:21 AM | You only have to worry about what it is if you aren't Horde. You are Horde correct? :mrt: who isn't Horde. Yeah, but I don't recall seeing anything like that before. Is it a post-expansion thing? And I agree with Orcy. *Looks for an orc smilie* *Fails* :( This message board is racist.... |
| Faithful_One03-23-07, 12:55 PM | Yeah, but I don't recall seeing anything like that before. Is it a post-expansion thing? Reminds me of a Shaman.:) |

| TheForestAuro06-21-07, 02:27 AM | Guild Name:The Cerebral Cabal Guild Description:The CC, on the surface, is a safe haven for all of the hyperconcious nature - the psionic base in the City of Guilds. Led by a charismatic Devotee of Sssargoth, those in awe of psionics and dragons are welcomed into the fold as grunts, while those with the 'talent' discover mysteries of the mind they never knew possible. A deep seated distrust for the arcane arts is displayed by the guild's unfriendly nature towards the Council of Mages. Guildmaster:Arwyn the Ghost, Spellscale Wilder 8 Arwyn is a master of Patience, gleaning this from her draconic heritage. She bides her time as she gains power, seeking eventually to join the ruling council. |
