I think this may be the first d20 Modern guild.

We're all about d20 Modern here. Modern, Urban Arcana, Past, Future, Apocalypse, Cyberscape, Dark Matter, and so on. If it's based on the d20 Modern ruleset, we're about it.

In Character:
For the purposes of roleplaying, (this) Department 7 is an inter-multiverse orginization which connects and catalogues worlds that follow the "same laws of physics" (translation: worlds you could create/run with d20 Modern rules). Characters "native" to the guild should generally "follow the same laws of physics", but D&D and SWRPG characters are free to drop by.

Oh, and there's a cookie for whoever can figure out what the extended number is.

Eventually, I hope to have a summary of Modern's differences from D&D.
d20 Modern is based on the same basic principles as D&D, most clearly, the use of a d20 for resolving checks.

d20 Modern has only six base classes. Each base class is based on one of the six ability scores. Each base class gains a talent at every odd level and a bonus feat at every even level. Few of the talents rely on the character's actual ability score in order to work or to work better, so you very well could have a Strong Hero with a STR of 9.

Advanced Classes are something new to your D&D player who looks at Modern. Like PrCs, they have requirements, but with a little planning, you can enter the AdCs at 4th level. AdCs tend to be more generic than some of D&D's more recent PrCs.

09-13-06, 07:34 AM Okay, well... Here's the basic info for my two d20 chars... One Nd20, another Fd20.

Verinx, Smart Hero3 the game he was in never got off the ground. He had like +20 at first level in computer use. Which is easy in modern/future.

Vericko Itoni- Fast Hero8/Elite Shinobi Swordsman7
A figure runs towrds the D7 compound. Several guards raise thier guns to stop him, but they get cut down in the process.
So... yeah. This guy is basicly a speed freak. He runs more than 30mph, has an oversized ninja-to, and with his speed his jump mod is off the charts. Can you say incredible hulk?:D

Yes, I can, but the Hulk is Uber-Strong not Uber-Fast.:P
I'll see what I can do about making a PC for here, but I dought I can make a Modern Character sence I dont have the books nor the money to buy them.
My Libary might have some. I'll have to look, but if they don't do you mind if I make a "Modern" DnD PC?
ECL 7 or 15?

So you'r making a 15 ECL? Are going to play said 15 with the rest of us? If yes to these then I am making a 15 ECL unless someone steps in to confront me on this.
