The purpose of the Economics Foundation is to discuss crafting (magical and mundane) in reguards to prices and the economics within D&D material. We will work on estimating prices for "raw materials" an alternative to calculating it as a fraction of the market price. We will hopefully be able to create a few markets which would be present within communities of different sizes which DMs may put into their games.

The Economics Foundation is not an RP thread and will not participate in the IFGW. Topics from the IFGW related to economics and crafting may be discussed and the results of the discussion may be used in the IFWG.

I strongly support this Foundation - and think it's a great addition to the threads. I'm wondering if a name-change would attract posts ('economists' might remind people of work or school?)

The Guild of Magical and Mundane Methods

or

The Guild of Magical and Mundane Strategists

or

The Trans-Foundation Conglomeration of Magic and the Mundane

(i.e. I reckon, set yourself up like a Trans-National - and central conduit for Guild Exchanges)

Basically, use such huge words that no one understands what the heck the foundation is, and they can't help but click on it! :D

Hey, it works for politicians.
