In the bright halls of Citadel, where chairs for every faith ever concieved reside, sits a lone figure clad in gleaming full plate armor with a glowing bastard sword at her side. The symbol of Helm the Vigilant One emblazoned on the breast of her armor glows with a soft blue light. With a small motion from her hand, the doors swing open. "Enter and be welcomed those of the multiverse. Let this be a place where all of any faiths feel as a haven. I am Monica Starmantle, Watchlord of Helm. I am a servant, so to speak, of this place. It is my solemn vow to protect the rights of all who enter these walls in that here they shall feel safe in expressing their views and not suffer the transgressions of those who would disagree."

"Of course though it is the right of all who enter to disagree in a verbal manner, I must contend that no form a physical, mental, or even emotional trauma be visited upon another here. There are other arenas for such a thing should you feel the need to settle a dispute. If you find that one chair for your faith is filled, another will appear for you. Also, Citadel has the ability to appear to each of us as we would find most pleasing, even transforming the physical appearance of others to match how we see them. Yet no real changes takes place."

"Be comforted, and share your faith with others."
Tenzhi

The symbol of Helm, itself, may visit physical, mental, or emotional trauma upon another just by its mere existence - and of course, the mere presence of the Elf-Bane might be harmful as well.

Yes. Where to draw the line in the sand is a delicate matter. Mostly my intent is that, as threadkeeper, I will not stand for threats or attacks by one person upon another.

As for my symbol of Helm, as I said earlier, those who do not desire to see it will not. While you, Lord Elf-Bane, are within these walls, you appear to me as a regal and grand dragon gilded in shining plate armor. The size of the Citadel itself has to expand to contain you. I'm sure that a worshipper of Shar or Cyric would see this place as very dark and full of shadow, while a worshipper of Mielekki may see it as a beautiful forest filled with life of all kinds. One of Loviatar may see devices which would bring both pleasure and pain while all of us are within those devices.

This place is only what you make it. If you do not like the view, then the choice is yours to change it as you would like. If you, Tenzhi, desire to see nothing more than slaughtered elves, than that is what you will see.

Behold the halls of Citadel in Tenzhi-vision:

Vast blackened stone walls and pillars of simple design extend infinitely in every direction. Written upon them in various scripts is the infinite knowledge of the multiverse. Here and there one can spy an elf dressed in simple grey robes, head shaved and ritually scarred, silently tending to the hallowed halls.

A dwarf hulled into a white rope enters the temple.
It's green eyes see only emptiness for now...
As he walks toward the keeper of this foundation he pets his spellbook that is decorated with snakes mate of green jade bearing the runes of abjuring.

"For the dwarven pantheon, Pelor, Lendor and Rao.... I will join this fine foundation"

Ouroboros sits on the ground opens his book and begins to study.

@Monica Starmantle: We're in good hands here. Your core Guiding Principle is one of a Plural Divinity.

Adorned with close-fitting Blue and Silver - Rh'iel walks in bearing a Crystal Sphere in hand. Contained within it are Seven points of Starfire - ablaze and somehow alive.

She is raven-haired and green-eyed. And her gait easy but watchful.

"Behold! Here in these Halls is the stuff of Creation. It's essence borne of Starfire" she holds up the crystal sphere - and gestures with her free hand - and a flood of silver-blue radiance pours forth. Its aura, is blindingly bright. She turns to Orouborus and bows

"Long has it been since Dwarven Divinity and that of Elves or Half-Elves stood in the one Halls. This is the work of Starmantle - whose Helm is the Symbol of Guardianship." Rh'iel turns to Tenzhi and bows to the shaven adept, attending to the Halls of Infinity.....

Somebody has read "The Crucible." I like it.

Ouroboros: Instead of having one month of five days, what about having five single days that fall between months a day at a time where these events can take place. Four days that easily come to mind are Winter Soltice, Summer Soltice, and the two days where light and dark are each exactly half of the day. Your deities who had portfolios related to things along these manners could have special events for these days and their respective powers could be heightened on these days. Then you just have to figure out which deities are left and create a day for them.

K’inich Ajaw (lawful good sun god)
Jadac Mexay (exiled lawful evil steel god and former sun god)
Cuanipopola (chaotic evil moon goddess)
Itzpo (neutral evil goddess of blood sacrfice dauther of K' inich and Cuanipopola twin sister to Coyotec)
Coyotec (neutral god of art and flaying)

I have made more (oxlaku gods, the corn god, rabit god, nature god(des) 4)

Cuanipopola also has the aspects of venus in this world on full moon it is far more dangerous then in other worlds

Awell it couldn't hurt to post some of the jade dwarven history i posted in the dwarven foundation.

The Aeons of devotion
Sacrificial rituals where part of the world long before even the first dwarf set his foot on Meté. But it where the jade dwarves that gave it a purpose and part of daily live.
Many Jade dwarven lives where lost in the wars between the self appointed Ajaw of the gods Jadac Mexay Ajaw god of steel (and new sun god after slaying Ilhuicaqui Goddess of the sun). And the marshal of Ilhuicaqui strong armie K’inich.

K’inich armie who where vastly outnumbered contained a great number of humans, jade dwarves, azers, xochitl orcs and aarakocrains of 100.000 strong assisted with a handful of rustmonsters, dinosaurs, gaints and gaint eagles.
They had to fight an armie more then 1.000.000 strong. Consisting out of humans, tabaxi, lizardfolk and gaints assisted with iron golems and other creatures from the elemental plain of steel. Jadac Mexay Ajaw also had control of all fire elemetals but his experience it there use was limited.

After along battle Jadac was loosing with it’s armies fighting enemies from both up and under and the god K’inich and his guards closing in he was right to feel worried. He ordered that his armies must be ten folded and tried to increases it’s godly power with blood sacrifices. K’inich was also growing in power his many victories made many other tribes van man and xochitl orcs join his armie. Even many other dwarves that survived the end of the sun joined K’inich side. More rustmosters where captured and more Gaint Eagles where convinced of the justice the god-marshal would bring. The moral of the enemy dropped with the day while K’inich troops moral grew. While K’inich was sacrificed with flowers and setting free caged creatures and slaves. Jadac Mexay Ajaw’s sacrifices where to fast and numerous. Without any retuals a god can’t grow in power with mass murder. Ritual sacrifices to Jadac Mexay Ajaw where defiled by Gaint Eagles that piced that rescued the victims from the retual altars.
Every day Jadac Mexay Ajaw grew with anger as Kínich grew closer to overthrow him. On the 13th day of Ollin at the 376th year after the end of the 3th sun. It was that day that Jadac and Kínich crossed swords together. It was an even match Jadacs sword Rust Bane drew blood, K’inich Macauitl Tecupopoca (vulcanomirror) didn’t drew as much blood but blocked most of Jadacs attacks. Then Jadac felt blood all over his body sure that he had won he was suprised with K’inich blow with it’s Macauitl that he fell from the stares of his own throne.
Closing in for the kill K’inich approaches but the side he saw stopped him. Jadac Mexay was bleeding from his iron eyes came blood, out of it’s nose and ears, nails, mout hand it even became to drip from it’s skin. Jadac was weakened and was not able to fight anymore. K’inich was disgusted by the side of all negative divine power Jadac tried to gain to get the upperhand in there last fight. It was the blood of the creatures jadac butchered. Jadac was contained to let him bleed out. There after K’inich drew a dagger and removed Jadacs heart gainging the power of Ilhuicaqui and made him the new Ajaw of the gods K’inich Ajaw.
The heartless Jadac Mexay fled the lands searching for any god that could help him overthrow Meté again. (Moradin is it’s foremost ally but jadacs loyalty is of course questionable).

After Jadac was overthrown the world grew dark and the sun didn’t rise. The moon goddess Cuanipopola ruled the lands K’inich Ajaw didn’t approve of any blood sacrifice in it’s name. And began to weaken. Members of al races began to pleat to the azer to tell the lord to fight her. But K’inich Ajaw couldn’t fly to the moon to challenge her. K’inich had lost the battle before it started. All races tried to sacrifice other things flowers, fish, animals but nothing helped. Then a Jade Dwarf rouge named mitzlin whose tatics saved many battles but where seen as cowardice. Stepped forward he saw orcs build a huge bonfire before the god in the hope it would awaken the sun in the Ajaw. He stepped forward shouting "My lord the world neets you, Meté needs the sun, Meté needs a king…. Meté needs a sun that let’s maize sprout to feed and to bring hope. Don’t you hear to plies for help order some sacrifices to let the sun rise for just one day."
"One day" the last word egod in the room and it was quite for a long time.
Then K’inich spoke "brave mitzlin I just can’t order a creature to take the live of a fellow being. I would be evil by robing someone from there loved one, there, child, there parent. Please understand that I feel like a father to you all. I just can’t order strength for granted by doing so. Would put the fight against Jadac in fain he will appear in my guise and he will be me"

Mitzlin smiled "You will not be Jadac my lord, my Ajaw. There will be no death because you never ordered. You will be K’inich Ajaw always the mighty protector and sun god of Meté. You will be strong by love and respect so please except what I have to offer…" Mitzlin had barley spoken it’s words as he began to run toward the bonfire a jumped. No scream was heard and every had little time to recover. K’inich Ajaw himself carried Mitzlin out of the fire. Mitzlin was heavily burned but still a live he spoke to his lord "Please take my heart expected it as a gift to all beings that desire peace and frutality" K’inich Ajaw gave a nod and a the 2 orcs held Mitzlins legs and 2 jade dwarves held Mitzlins arms a Azer removed Mitzlins heart. The hearth was given to K’inich Ajaw who fild strong again he carried the sun to heavens but the moon didn’t yield Cuanipopola wasn’t about to give up her place in the sky. K’inich Ajaw was ready to confront her.
News how the sun had risen again spread as a bonfire (pardon my prease).
Many bonfires where set and sacrifice where mate just like that of Mitzlin but this time with a drug. (every tripe and race made one even tabaxi some for the last time)
K’inich Ajaw saw the bonfires and accepted every offer.

Cuanipopola is a human goddess with her soul trapped in the moon herself she can’t die as long as the moon remains.
K’inich Ajaw attacks her and smites her. Suprised that the Ajaw can indeed harm her every scar he inflicted on her created on the moon. It didn’t took long for her that she could only yield to this mighty foe. This happened in 9th Quiahuitl at the 376th year after the end of the 3th sun or better known as 9th Quiahuitl the first year of the reborn 5th sun. Although K’inich Ajaw distrusted her he accepted her marry aprosal making her his 3th wife.
In there joing came a twin the blood goddess Itzpo and the gold smith god Coyotec.

The Jade Dwarves continued to work for there god. And honouring Mitzlin as the perfect way of the unlife.
In the name of K’inich Ajaw they rebuilded cities and when K’inich Ajaw asked them to not control the lives of others they did so.
They lived under the sea of shadow in the underdark where the sun sleeps. There they train the dwarves most creatures se as a true jade dwarf: loyal to it’s god. The real excellent students or little mutated of them are choice to go to Meté so that it will never forget that the gods need mortals as hard as mortals need gods.
They where the once that let the creatures from the stars be respected for honouring there gods. They where the once that made peace between there gods and the gods of the Oxlaku.
They where the once that excepted the Lamalian religion.
They where the once that organised a counter attack of the Mudi and there mostly evil gods.
They where the once that must accepted the ultimate fusing between K’inich Ajaw and Tlauetzal (head god of Oxlaku.
And they are the once ready for Jadacs return with everything he can throw at Meté.

That was very  Orouborus.

Rh'iel listens to the Great Tale of the Jade Dwarves - as she ponders within the Infinity of Intersecting Planes of the Deities.

In the Eternal Vastness - she stands amongst the Pillared Halls of the Dwarven Pantheon, next to Moradin, and K’inich Ajaw.

"Great are the Dwarves in their Many-Pillared-Halls." Rh'iel's voice echoes to Infinity in rich, womanly tones - as her eyes flash with Starlight, and as the Starfire Stone blazes to life - bringing light to the face of Moradin and K'inich Ajaw.

It is a rare event - that deities travel to other deities' Home Plane - but necessity is the mother of invention. Below - on the Prime Material Planes, the Dhaerrim are now Dispossessed and flee the destruction of the Underground Empire......and the Pereldar strive to master Starfire Lore - 'ere The Darkness consumes the Lands.....

I'm not that familiar with Mayan civilisation (mostly because of their names and words, which just don't look or sound right to me at all). But the Chinese reference Jade throughout their mythos and legendry, thus when I think of Jade I think of Chinese mythology.

The Gathering Deities of the Pantheon focus together in the Celestial Planes - sending ripples throughout the Realmspace.

Song, Voice, Word and Symbol vibrate in the aether. For there is a great Schizm in the in the Pantheon. The Sundered Aspects of the Gods are as Splinters of the Minds Eye. These Aspects gather in the Eternal Hells of the Otherworld, where the fell radiance of Hell Stones burns with malice and cruelty.

K’inich Ajaw is grim - his Jade Artifact burns with the vibrance of its pricelessness. For his Brothers are not with him. And in Realmspace - the Earth shakes, mountains burst fires, the Sun is covered. Lakes dry and forest burns.....

Its ok to talk about forces and stuff as well here, right?

Anyway, another topic- divine magic should be more common than arcane, hmm? Its certainly better represented among the core classes and NPC classes...so what does a heavy-divine magic world mean to you?

A world where the gods have a say in this world.
I love the idea of fighting for a god against a god.
Pelor vs Nerull
orc fate vs elf fate/dwarf fate

Yes, I Love having divine conflict and turmoil. Even among Lawful Good gods. Perhaps especially among Lawful Good Gods. After all, they are likely to care a great deal about Revealed Truth, and if they genuinely disagree what that is, there will be trouble (I run my campaign so it isn't clear what the actual truth is, even to the gods- but there are several versions being sold by the various religions).

So, on a more mundane level, how about spells. What if the world had no arcane magic at all. I think it might be a less dangerous place...

Not at all who would rival a cleric if there is only one god?
Devil, Deamons, Angels, Archeons.
They would be unrivaled.

OK - the following is how Neutral Good Deity meets Chaotic Evil - it's IC only :)

Rh'iel - stares with wide eyes and clenched jaw at the Dark Robed One bearing The Cobra Staff.

There is a low rumble of Thunder that ripples throughout the Infinities of the Planes - as the Half-Elven Goddess studies the Intruder Thasis.

She holds up her hand in a gesture of Warding, as her raven tumbles about her shoulders. Rh'iel's green eyes flash with Warning - and a Lightning bolt strikes the gounds.

She locks eyes with the Others one by one - and holds forth the Starfire Artifact. Points of light tease Thasis - as Rh'iel clasps the Crystal Sphere. She looks at *you* Thasis and says

"What Will do you bring to Our Plane. Do you dare The Corruption?"

A young man with closely cropped black hair, and the faintest hint of a new moustache walks towards you. He is wearing black velvet clothing, well cut, but not faddishly stylish. He has a flowing hood on his open gown, and the lining is the color of a doctor of chirurgery. Watchful eyes will note leather bracers with intricate arcane traceries upon his forearms. He wears embroidered black silk gloves, but underneath them the vigilant eye will detect one ring on each hand, the one on the left a trifle bulkier than the other. A certain stiffness to the outer sides of his fine black boots reveal two daggers tucked within them: the one on the right seems to be of plain iron, the one on the left, silver. In his right hand he is carrying a bag which, on another world, in another age, would be called "a Gladstone."

He walks up to and gives you a crisp half-bow.

Sorry to disappoint you, but it looks like the guildmaster (representative of Helm) hasn't even been on the message boards since some time last year. I think this foundation is pretty much dead.

There are many other guilds that are still alive and kicking, however. If you're the good cleric type, then you would do well in the Guild of Pure Good. The GoPG also has an evil counterpart, the Guild of Ultimate Evil. Whichever would suit your alignment.

Also, the Council of Archmages welcomes spellcasters of all kinds, so a Cleric/Wizard would fit in well there.

I'm certain there are many other active guilds that you would enjoy to become a part of.
