| Orcy The Green Wonder11-19-04, 07:05 PM | Across the far stretches of plain lie hundreds upon hundreds of tents. Various peoples walk about around the area. In the center stands a massive hut. A huge fire sits before it and guards stand outside the door. Around this central area there are hundreds of orcs and half orcs. However there are many different races around the camp. You are brought inside the large tent, the guards stepping aside hesitantly as they eye you and watch you carefully. Inside sits a large half orc upon a throne made of bone, animal hides draped over himself and over the throne upon which he sits. The heads of monsters and various animals line the walls. He looks up and you and grins. "Ashdautas Vrasubatlat brothers and sisters. I am Dun-Gar, Warlord of the Zau Ghash. We have called tribes of known world together. Here we hold tribal council. All tribes weclome. We discuss tribe tactics, we show strength to those who oppose. So come all Ang Gijak-Ishi, prove worth to world. Show tribe strength. We are mighty, we are powerful, we tribes show "civilized world" what we can do." This foundation is for barbarians and other tribal peoples. So, if you play a tribal character, love them, or send hordes of tribal enemies at players as a DM... join on up. Orcy would like to see it. But note that Orcy is not the leader here currently. He has a character for the IFGW who will be running things. That would of course be Dun-Gar. So anyway, come friends, Orcy looks foreward to seeing what you can think of and what you have. |

I have a friend who likes playing Half-Orc Barbarians. He might join, but it may be a bit before he actually posts in the Guild House. I'll mention it to him when I see him during the week. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder11-22-04, 12:33 AM | Oh Orcy isnt going to quit yet. He tends to keep going until after he should by all means quit. Here is a re-post of Orcy's tribal rituals from the half-orc foundation. They could probably be adapted to other tribes as well. Orcish Tribal Rituals: To participate in an Orcish tribal ritual you must first be an orc or half-orc that is a member of the tribe preforming the ritual, or be an accepted member of an orcish tribe, in which case you must have mixed blood with an orc from the tribe. This short ritual takes 1 minute per HD the subject being made a tribe member posseses. After this time the subject may benefit from orcish rituals. Fukisham Ob Mazat- This orcish ritual is done to strengthen the tribe before battle. The orcs (or half orcs) sit in a circle around the strongest member of the tribe (often the leader). This member is cut with ritual symbols, he then rubs his own blood over the faces of his fellow tribe members. After this long process he preforms a short tribal dance, during which a bull's strength spell is cast upon him. When he finishes all members of the tribe that have been painted with his blood gain the effects of the spell for one hour/ 2 levels of the member that went through the ritual. This member also takes 1 point of damage per 10 minutes the ritual lasts. The time elapsed changes depending on the number of members in the tribe (determined by the DM). Rog (Fatoft, Ghash, Tharb, Za or Bumbullaum)- This orcish ritual protects the tribe from a certain element be it Cold, fire, acid, sonic or electricity (in order from orcish above). The ritual takes half an hour to preform. An orcish shaman (druid) stands in the center of the orcish tribe, who sit in a circle around him. The shaman burns various roots and herbs in a cauldron, over which he preforms a ceremony, casting protection from energy into the cauldron. The smoke from the cauldron flows across the field around the shaman, until all the tribe members have inhaled it. At that point all of them gain the protection from energy spell's effect. Thrak Kurrauz Frum- This orcish ritual is done to ressurect a dead tribe member without the normal material component. There must be at least 5 tribe members preforming the ritual. They create a circle and preform a tribal dance in the circle around the corpse. Meanwhile a ressurection is cast, by a tribe member, to bring the dead back to life. At the end of the ritual, which takes one hour, the creature danced around is brought back to life as the spell ressurection would normally do, without the normal material component. |
