| Von Crown11-07-05, 11:57 PM | Welcome to GROANS, the Guild of Really Obnoxious Annoying Nutty Sagacity. Come here for ouns, rhymes, and other lingual insanity. You can even expect things like fats and spells to pop up occasionally. Members- The Wonderful Moi Demonfey, Lord of the Pie Dyne, horder of nuts, impersonator of Jack Sparrow, and enemy of the common squirrel, AKA "Nack Squirrel." Priest, friendly neighborhood gnome slayer & sacrificer |
| Demonfey11-07-05, 11:59 PM | Spells: summon pie fiend. While not being any good at combat, pie fiends taste good and are always freshly baked. Sign me up as a member. |
| Von Crown11-08-05, 12:06 AM | AT some point WotC actually statted out pie fiends for an April Fools thing, but I haven't been able to find it since. Shame, really. It was funny, and actually decently powerful. And remember, it's not too hard to come up with something equally insane from other monsters. I'll get into the finer points of that tomorrow. You're in. I've got one now for you to chew on, though. A large dark shape looms on the road ahead. You hear a rattling of chains, and several armored figures preceed the shape, bound by the chains. This must be the cause of the missing paladins, you realize with horror, for you face a dreaded Knight-Walker. A large undead that captures knights and walks them on chains. Based on- Nightwalker, of course. And one last concept before I turn in for now- Poshuns. Enchanted animate vials that avoid being drunken from at all costs. Maybe has the ability to turn other potion vials into more Poshuns as well? |
| Dyne11-15-05, 10:03 PM | Enter Dyne, horder of nuts, impersonator of Jack Sparrow, and enemy of the common squirrel. AKA "Nack Squirrel." A lone squirrel appears in the doorway of GROANS. The small creatures 'groans' before nibbling on an acorn. |
| Von Crown11-15-05, 10:07 PM | Yes! IT LIVES! Obligatory link to The Adventures of Mordred and Shorteus (http://home.comcast.net/~n.sattler/) |
| Kobold_Ur_Priest11-15-05, 11:01 PM | Priest, friendly neighborhood gnome slayer & sacrificer |
| Mid-Boss11-16-05, 08:05 PM | Hmm. . I shall enjoy seeing where this guild goes. . .I shall sign on. My character for now shall be Anton, of course. He's my favorite 29-year old vampire, anarchist and fan of really crappy "punk rock" (not the good stuff like sonic youth). Please try to get past his possesion of (thin) dreadlocks, he may bee waaaay to white (i mean, come on! He's a freaking vampire for Kas's sake!), but on the inside. . .ah, who am I kidding?! he just the only member of my "family" who isn't busy at the moment. . . .ops. . .did I go off on a tangent again? |
| Von Crown11-16-05, 08:18 PM | Well, ya need a title. I can't put you on the members list without a title, now could I? |
| Mid-Boss11-16-05, 08:26 PM | You have a point. . .I'll go with Anton, possesser of fangs, slayer of the slay-worty and un-slay-worty, and hater of The Man (LE Unique Inevitable [thats 20 levs. of construct] Ftr 10th/ Kensai 4th/ Wiz 20th/ArchMage 5th). . .or Anton, the fang possessing slayer of the hate-able The Man. |
| Mid-Boss11-16-05, 08:28 PM | Obviously, I picked Anton just for the fact that he's a prince and the "son" of the [virtual] ruler of all that is and he hates the "Establishment." Ah, I do love irony. |
| Von Crown11-23-05, 04:53 PM | Not sure if that's silly enough of a title... Anyways, getting back on track, anyone else have any monstrous puns? Also, let fly any ideas for Poshuns, since after thinking about it for a while, and with my current project, they have been seeming more and more like something that might actually see a reasonable amount of use. |
