| Zombomaniac11-22-05, 12:41 AM | A humble building stands before you. It rests in the middle of the magicless Stone Town. It's walls are not ordaned with gold, its doors not wrought with jewels, the interior hold no couches, no carpets, no throne. Within it is nothing more than a stone table and iron chairs. Crude as each may be they hold within them the hopes and dreams of those who forged them and those who have sat within them. Sitting in one such chair, not at the head of the table for there is no head of the table, sits Gabrial. The one the towns people choose to lead their Guild and in many ways their town. He sits there with the same look of sadness in his eyes he always holds and he motions for you to take a seat so that you two and any who come aswell may talk. Guild Name: The Order of the Giving Hand Guild Charter: To help those who live within the confinds of poverty, to free those unwillingly placed under bondage, to give every being to chance to live the life they wish to live, and to forever uphold the importance of free will. Stone Town Charter: To grow into a grand city where any may have their fair chance at wealth and glory, to act as santuary to any who need safety, to act as a beacon of greatness for the world. Member List: Guild Master Gabrial the Ascetic of Stone Town (Zombomaniac) Defenders of Stone: Aramel(Gabrion) Crusaders of Iron: Members though Treaties: GoUE Treaty- Crowley(Demonfay) Priest(Kobold_Ur_Priest) Li'ruak(Master_of_Flames) Grimnaw "Grim" Gnomekiller(Wildonion) Blood Fang(Wilds) Denrik(Turalisj) Tarsas(The Kobold Hero) Alliances: GoUE Guild Leadership Score: 15 Districts: Deeping Quarry Resource Income: Not sure Monthly Expenses: Guild Treasury/Items: 1,000,000 + 200,000 ~ Donated by Gabriel - 270,000 ~ Ten 11HD Sword Archon Effigies - 320,000 ~ Ten 14HD Throne Archon Effigies - 220,000 ~ Ten 10HD Demon Arrow Effigies - 180,000 ~ Ten 8HD Quesar Effigies - 58,000 ~ One 24HD Warden Archon Effigy - 50,000 ~ One 24HD Quesar Effigy - 76,000 ~ One 33HD Sword Archon Effigy ------------ 26,000 ~ Left over |
| Zombomaniac11-22-05, 12:42 AM | Branches of The Order Defenders of Stone: The Defenders of Stone are those who devote them selves to protecting given area at a time. Defenders do not go and seek battles, but know the battles will come to them. Operasions: Defenders of Stone most commonly will go to an area and inhance its defences. This is their most fundamental plan. They specialize in counter attack measures rarely ever meeting the enemy first. Defenders never judge someone souly by their appearances, but only by their actions. A demon could walk right past them and unless that Demon attacks the Defender in someway then the Defender will walk right past him. Crusaders of Iron: The Crusaders of Iron are the hunters and executioners of the Order. They, unlike the Defenders, do not wait for a battle, but start it them selves. Where a Defender would let the Demon walk past him and Crusader would slice the Demon in half. Operastions: Crusaders of Iron are never in one area very long. They go in destroy any evil they find and leave. The Crusaders though do not let their hack and slash tactices spill over to harm inoccent bystanderds. They dont care of what races, age, or gender you are, if they see you as a threat to the good of the world they will deal with you as they see fit. General Traits of all within the Order: Weither they are of the Crusaders or the Defenders all believe that no one is beyond redemption. When within battles neither will show follish mercy, though if mercy is asked for the likely hood of it being denied is slim to none. Though both Defenders and Crusaders will show little mercy within battle, once the battle is complete they offer aid and healing to all wounded. If the leader of a dark army is found on the brink of death then he will be healed, though he will of course be made so that he can no longer hurt those around him. |

| Demonfey11-22-05, 10:01 AM | The wolf comes into town. I was told you wanted to reach an agreement about Deeping Quarry? |
| Zombomaniac11-22-05, 08:05 PM | "Yes we of Stone Town wish to build are new homes there. The land in which Old Stone Town is located is not suitable for our needs." OOC: This stinks I haddent seen your claim for it. I was hoping to get that one easy. Meh. |
| Demonfey11-22-05, 08:15 PM | What other plans do you have for the area? |
| Zombomaniac11-22-05, 08:25 PM | "The people of Stone Town wish to act as a safe haven for the innocent masses caught between the wars of our fair guilds. As well they wish to offer santuary to any who need it. Wether they be of "good" or "evil" breed. In manners of wealth, the people of Stone Town hope to create a thriving city and dream of a place where any may sell their wares and have a fair chance at glory." |
| Demonfey11-22-05, 08:31 PM | You mean you are trying to set up your own city with districts inside it and whatnot? |
| Zombomaniac11-22-05, 08:35 PM | "Right now we are little more than a Town, but the people of Stone Town hope it to grow into something more." OOC: I dont expect it to grow into a city anytime soon, but its is just one of those long term plans. |
| Demonfey11-22-05, 08:40 PM | Well, we could definitely use something so close for business. As soon as the size of Deeping Quarry has been established, we can work out the partitioned area for Stone Town and the area for the GoUE. We can, in the mean time, draw up a more...formal agreement. |

Whats really funny about this post is that up untill you did the "...formal agreement" this whole talk sounded very goodly, but once you said that it put the whole thing in a darker light. :D Once we finnallize the agreement in the Conference I will post a more Treaty looking version of it and we will talk from there. |
| Demonfey11-22-05, 08:53 PM | I learned how to do that from reading Discworld books. Before we continue, can I ask if this situation actually happening feels kind of strange mentally to you? |
| Zombomaniac11-23-05, 02:28 PM | I learned how to do that from reading Discworld books. Before we continue, can I ask if this situation actually happening feels kind of strange mentally to you? Gabrial smiles at the wolf's question. "Yes, but I see it as a great oppertunity for us both. The possabilities for good are endless." |
| gabrion11-25-05, 12:40 PM | As Gabrial is helping to oversee the normal business of the people of Stone Town, he notices the old man who spoke with him at the Guild Conference walking up the path toward the town. He still carries nothing but a quarterstaff and wears a simple robe, marked with the holy symbol of Ilmatar. Walking through the settlement for a few moments, taking account of his surroundings, the old man finally makes his way over to Gabrial. "Hello friend, we have met once before, but let me introduce myself again. I am Aramel, disciple of Ilmatar, member of the Guild of Pure Good, and friend to all those who suffer. I see you have indeed begun to build a settlement here, and the town seems to be doing well. I'm sure they will do well under your wise leadership." Aramel is kind enough in his words, but it seems that he has more pressing issue he wishes to discuss. After a worried look and a pause, he decides that he may as well ask his questions now, as small talk will only prolong them without any good reason. "My reason for coming here is not simply to see your village though. As I'm sure you are aware, this land is at war, and a great evil has descended upon it. I am curious where you stand in relation to the current political landscape of Tyrannor. Will Stone Town only be concerned with its own survival, or will it play an active role in fighting the evil across the land?" |
| Zombomaniac11-25-05, 12:54 PM | Gabrial turns his attention fully upon you telling the man next to him that he can hadle the operations without Gabrails needs. You can tell by the man dress that he is the Mayor of Stone Town and he nods to Gabrail and moves about hadling the building prosses of the Stone Town Temple. "Friend Aramel, disciple of Ilmatar, member of the Guild of Pure Good, and friend to all those who suffer, you need not worry about our stance upon the matters of war. We of Stone Town hope to end this wars peacefully, but we are more than willing to fight if the need arrises. I am curently creating the Township you see before you and it consumes a great deal of my time, but that does not stop me from keeping up to date on the affairs of the world, as well it does not stop me from massing the Crusaders of Iron or the Defendes of Stone. I am curently gathering a Squad of Crusaders to be ready for battle. In time I will have the whole Army of Stone Town ready." OOC: I am going to create a few Squads for the Defenders and the Crusaders. Each Squad will be created for a different purpose. I know I will have atleast one for the Crusaders and one for the Defenders, but am not sure what the defenders one will be. I already have most of the Retrivers Squad (the one for the Crusaders) thought out. Mostly just need to deside if their base class will be Paladen or Ranger. :thinks: |
| Demonfey11-25-05, 06:06 PM | Rangers, since "retriever" sounds like you have to track down things. In the mean time, do you still want to have our treaty going ahead? |
| Zombomaniac11-27-05, 01:23 AM | Rangers, since "retriever" sounds like you have to track down things. In the mean time, do you still want to have our treaty going ahead? Ya of course. |
| Zombomaniac11-28-05, 01:12 AM | "Citizens of Stone Town. By reasons of Treaty, Insults to Honor, and by lack of effort or will to aid the Innocent any and all represntatives of teh Guidl of Pure Good are bared from the Lands of Stone Town, but let it be know that Aramel, disciple of Ilmatar, and friend to all those who suffer is welcome within our lands so long as he does not hide himself or bring the Elf Leader of the Guild of Pure Good with him, as he is a member of the Order." |
| gabrion11-28-05, 01:18 AM | Aramel, who is still standing about and looking at the newly formed (and forming) town, takes note of the announcement. He is happy to hear that his presence will be allowed, but disturbed that his friend Silimna has made such an impression. "Thank you Gabrial for allowing me to continue to visit this place and do what work I can to help the people of the land. I am sad to hear that my friend Silimna will not be welcome, but I can promise that I will not bring her here if it will cause suffering. For now I must be on my way, as my closest friends have grown restless travelling the land and they have been asking for me to find them a home. I would bring them here, but I'm afraid it may cause trouble. I will visit this place often, but good luck while I am gone." |
| Zombomaniac11-28-05, 01:24 AM | "You are a Defender, friend Aramel, you will always be welcome here. I wish too that the Treaty did not bare the entrance of you Elf friend as though she is...strange she is of good heart. Under different circumstances we would have made swift allies." |
| Demonfey11-28-05, 01:24 AM | Well, she did anger Arcanus to such an extent, and then decided not to respond at all to me deciding to torch parts of the world until she was found. Of course she would make such an impact! I will allow your wandering friends to stay here without any infringement on the contract, so long as they agree to follow the contract as long as they are on this land. |
| gabrion11-28-05, 01:29 AM | I will allow your wandering friends to stay here without any infringement on the contract, so long as they agree to follow the contract as long as they are on this land. "While I am on this land I have no problem following such a contract, but elsewhere you should no that I view the GoUE as an enemy. You have not done the same amount of harm as the Temple of the Damned, but if you begin to terroize tyrannor in search of Silimna, I will raise up arms against you." |
| Zombomaniac12-25-05, 05:40 AM | Sitting alone within the halls of the Order of the Giving Hand Gabriel weeps like only a grown man can. He sits alone in Stone Town. No Michael to give him a word of support, no Edward to give a stern suggestion, and no people of Stone Town to lift up his head and wipe away the tears. Gabriel raised his head to the heaven and to whoever there was that was watching for he know there was always someone. “Why!? They have left me for a promise on the wind. He came with words of a land without pain or hunger, without the wars of the Guilds, and without the looming darkness that stains our skies. The Wandering Sage came with nothing more than a promise and they took upon that promise as if it were life itself. They had given me their wealth to do with as I saw fit and I gained Guardians for them. Guardians greater than any other and they leave me for a promise on a wind.” Gabriel has ceased his weeping and now stands from his chair. His eyes are full of fury and his stance determined. “They left me because of these Guilds and because of the Murders in this world. Fine then let them leave me for a promise and let them love it. For now I will make this world in such a way that they will wish they were here.” Gabriel marches out of the Order’s Halls and out to the small army he had forged for Stone Town. “Before I was quite, I was polite, I let ones that I hate walk on my people’s lands. I stood by and watched the taint spread, but no more!” Gabriel turned to the Creatures he had purchased and gave them his last command. “Effigy Guardians I will no longer be your Master. Throne Archons go to Aer’bensvek and the Halls of Refuge, five each! Sword Archons five of you are to go to Ghashmal Keep and the other five to the Stormhand Federation! Half-Dragon Arrow Demons you are to go to the Halls of Refuge and give them your bow in battle! Quesar to the Fortress of Light! General Light Bringer with the Demon Arrows now, Lord Warden to the Fortress, and Paladin of the Sword to the Keep! Off with you now and Archons of the Federation take that gold with you! Now fly and run to your Masters.” Gabriel stacked out of, the forever unfinished, Stone Town and into the wilds of the world. “From this day on I shall be heard and guild less and they shall know my coming by the resounding beat of my fist.” OOC: All the following belong to the people they have been given to. Five 11 HD Half-Dragon Sword Archon Effigies to the Federation, Five 11 HD Half-Dragon Sword Archon Effigies to Ghashmal Keep, Five 14 HD Half-Dragon Throne Archon Effigies to the Halls of Refuge, Five 14 HD Half-Dragon Throne Archon Effigies to the Fortress of Light, Ten 10 HD Half-Dragon Arrow Demon Effigies to the Halls of Refuge, Ten 8 HD Quesar Effigies to the Fortress of Light, One 33 HD Half-Dragon Sword Archon Effigy to Ghashmal Keep, One 24 HD Half-Dragon Warden Archon Effigy to the Aer’bensvek, One 24 HD Half-Dragon Quesar Effigy to the Halls of Refuge, 26,000 GP to the Federation. |
| Demonfey12-25-05, 02:50 PM | Zombie, any problems with the GoUE taking the land back, then? |
| Zombomaniac12-25-05, 03:00 PM | Zombie, any problems with the GoUE taking the land back, then? Go for it. The Order is dead and Gabriel will not claim any ownership. |
| Demonfey12-25-05, 03:03 PM | Thanks. I'll get the GoUE involved. |
| Zombomaniac12-25-05, 03:18 PM | I just realized that all of them except the Quesar are Outsiders. Half-Dragons for everyone! :D |
