Psionics Belong in Science Fiction Foundation [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-03-04, 09:27 PM I herefore found a foundation (redundant I know) of people who think Psionics really don't fit in fantasy.

THis also includes the sub-foundation of: Psionics is identical to magic, with MP and a few other different things.

5. Foundations that promote negativity will not be allowed on the boards. For example, foundations such as “The Anti-Foundation Foundation”, “The 3.5 is better than 3.0 Foundation”, “The Pro-Dwarf Slaughtering Foundation” are not allowed.

I'm just saying that I think that Psionics is the same thing as Magic, with slight differences, and doesn't really fit in Fantasy.

Because you intepreted it negatively, doesn't mean it necessarily is. Thought I'd clear up that I didn't mean it negatively. Though I cans ee why you would see it as such, that's what the edit button is for.

The very nature of your foundation is argumentative. And as BlaineTog pointed out, it promotes negativity (as many argumentative statements do).

It would be like me starting an "Elves Belong in Trash Bins" Foundation. Pro-elves are bound to be offended, and many of them are likely to voice their dissenting opinion on the matter. And it certainly wouldn't help matters if my first post was:

"I hereby found a foundation of people who think elves don't fit in fantasy.

This also includes the sub-foundation of: Elves are just pointy-eared humans who think they're better than everybody else"
