| Dyne11-27-05, 11:07 PM | Ahead of you stands a grand castle, with 20 ft. high walls and six towers guarding the perimeter. Atop each tower waves the banner of Cormyr, a white cloth with a purple dragon in the center. Men patrol the walls and the courtyard, each one wearing a white surcoat and bearing the royal crest of Cormyr. As you approach the gate, it opens for you, and you are greeted by one of the officers. Shortly after, a man in highly polished plate armor rides into the courtyard. He dismounts and introduces himself. "Welcome to Castle Crag. I am called Sir William Emrys, and I am Helm Dundragon's successor as commander of the Purple Dragons. Here is where my soldiers reside, protecting the northern border of Cormyr from invaders. If you wish to join our ranks, you are very welcome. We welcome all stout combatants who are loyal to Cormyr and unhesitant in protecting it. We also welcome Clerics to heal our wounded and arcane spellcasters to join our detachment of War Wizards. Come as you are, and stem the tide of invaders." Welcome to the Purple Dragons. This is a foundation inspired by the army of Cormyr from the Forgotten Realms campaign setting. We are resolute fighting men who are dedicated to upholding justice and peace. We accept all who wish to join the ranks of Purple Dragons. But, those who are nonchaotic and nonevil are most favored, and are eligible to become a Purple Dragon Knight, a leader of the Purple Dragons. Soldier Roster: Sir William Emrys |

| Dyne11-28-05, 05:17 PM | I Wasn't here last time but I'm here now. put me in. Also the same old question: will this guild be part of the IFGW? Yes, indeed we shall. Young William Emrys shall be the new commanding officer. *Goes to edit the first post* |

| Dyne12-01-05, 07:54 PM | So I'm assuming your back? If not... this shall be strange ;) Sure, I'm back (again). A few of the old classic guilds were being revived, so I figured I could bring this back along with the others. Always been a big fan of the Purple Dragons and Cormyr. I'm wanting to create some PrC's, feats, and magic items specifically for this guild, but I'm strapped for time lately. So, we shall see what happens. |
| baron_redscale12-12-05, 04:18 AM | Thank you for accepting me into the Dragoneers. I shall immediately try and figure ouyt a character deserving of such an honor |
| Zombomaniac12-20-05, 11:47 PM | What the!? Get your but back in the first page ye lazy dragon! You all need to get moving again. Tell me have you gotten your base made? An Army stated out? PCs made for this thread? -------------------- Also I saw the PrC stuff and such you were wanting to make. Heres a few ideas. PrC - Seeker of Cormyr - This is kinda made to the idea of the Kinghts getting teleported/planeshifted/whatever out, God only knows where, and then trying to get back to Cormyr. It would probably have some weak teleport and location spells in it. As well of some good things that go along the same theme as other Cormyr PrCs. PrC - Defender of the Land - This wouldn't be a Cormyr specific PrC, but one based around protecting a given area. They would be open to any class since anyone can love a land and seek its protection. It could get different abilites. Bonus to different rolls when in your land, calling on aspects of it to aid you, ect. Items - since this is more of a Defender kinda thing it would be good to make items that can make wall show up at of no where. Kinda like a Wall of Force Cube. Oce someone gets to close a Wall of Force appears and blocks them. This could be a good hersding tactic. I'll try to think of some other stuff. |
| Dyne12-21-05, 12:11 AM | Those are some nice ideas, Zombo. I'm also thinking up specific equipment for the Purple Dragons, like a special sword or suit of armor. I'm kinda blank on ideas, though, so I was delaying posting here again until I had some uber cool idea. The Defender of the Land PrC sounds like a cool idea. I'll see what stuff I can cook up. |
| Zombomaniac12-21-05, 10:35 PM | One thing that could be done with the Defender of the Land PrC is summoning a elemental of some breed. "The Land, I guard, guards me." |
| Dyne12-21-05, 10:39 PM | In Unearthed Arcana, there is a Ranger variant: Favored Environment. Perhaps I could base an ability off that. |
| Zombomaniac12-21-05, 11:06 PM | In Unearthed Arcana, there is a Ranger variant: Favored Environment. Perhaps I could base an ability off that. Sounds pretty cool. I'll have to read up on that. |
| thasis12-22-05, 02:12 AM | I think Kantana's are cool. You should carry them in your armoury. |
| Dyne12-22-05, 11:24 PM | I think Kantana's are cool. You should carry them in your armoury. Sure thing. I've actually got an idea for a magical katana. The gates of the castle open, and Sir Emrys in his polished plate mail and brilliant steed comes galloping into the courtyard. He trots to the stable, where he lets his mount rest from the journey. The knight then heads into the meeting room, where his most trusted officers and advisors are gathered. "Gentlemen, we must prepare ourselves. The storm of war moves ever closer, and we must be ready else it overcome us. "Lord Arcanus of the Knights Von Drache recently received a threat from the enemy. An intruder manifested in the throne room, although no one was hurt. The identity of the intruder is unknown, and he disappeared before he could be captured. This is a dangerous sign, men. The forces of evil are about the move, and we must move to stop them." |
| thasis12-22-05, 11:38 PM | Thasis the Good enters the halls of the Purple Dragons "Wherever the face of evil shows I shall try to help to propell them backwords. I offer support to this guild and to help defeat the evil that threatened the Knights of Von Drache" |
| Zombomaniac12-28-05, 12:29 AM | :bump: I'll make a better bump later. |
