| Wilds08-29-05, 10:38 PM | The Shadow's Breath and Blade The Breath and Blade is back. After two debilitating setbacks. The guild is open to all willing members new and old. Old members will be able to retain their status from the old guild. Guild Leadership score: 10 + 4 = 14 Leadership Guild Leader: Kelreth (http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=5304784) Shadow: Tetsuo Breath: Kelreth Shador Blade: Members: Cazic Zerin of the Hidden Dagger Clan (http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=7063744) (Master of Flame) Thasis the Evil? (Thasis) Tetsuo (DemonFey) Kik-Petwk (Ashariana) Vorren (http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=6042411) (Alaron) Shador (Gabrion) Turalisj (Turalisj) OOC Jaggger Alliances and Enemys At this time the Breath and Blade has no alliances or declared enemys. And will remain neutral in the coming fight at the Keep. Contracts are not subject to neutrality. If any guilds had alliances with the SBB before and would like to continue them, post and it will be noted. |
| Wilds08-29-05, 10:42 PM | Honor of Darkness Like all orginizations the Shadow's Breath and Blade has its own code of conduct of its members. This code of honor is seen as a very serious thing and any member of the guild who violates its bearing may be subject to the full prosecution of their other guild members. No member of the Guild may strike out against another without justifiable reason. If no justifiable reason excites then the attacker will face death by the hands of the other members. The attacking member is to become one of the top priorities of all free agents. Members already in a mission are not to leave this mission to hunt the attacking person unless it fits into their mission and the free members can still be pulled from the hunt to complete missions. If a member is ever attacked then all free agents are to hunt down the one(s) who attacked the member and kill that person(s). Members already in a mission are not to leave this mission to hunt the attacking person(s) unless it fits into their mission and the free members can still be pulled from the hunt to complete missions. If a contract is ever put out for a member of the guild then the person(s) who made the requested kill is to be killed. All free agents are to hunt down the one(s) who requested the kill and kill that person(s). Members already in a mission are not to leave this mission to hunt the attacking person(s) unless it fits into their mission and the free members can still be pulled from the hunt to complete missions. The corpses of those killed because of the Code are to be placed in an open area for all to see as an example. No evidence is to be left that could openly trace the corpse(s) back to the guild. As well no reason is to be left explaining why the person(s) was killed, just the corpse(s). Alll Guild contracts are split as follows; 70% of the contract along with full spoils exempt from those included in the contract goes to the assassin or assassins that performed the contract. 20% of the contract is even split and distributed to all other members of the guild. 10% of the contract price goes to the guild treasury for security and other various guild agendas. No assassin may accept any contract with out first gaining approval by the guildmaster. Any contract even if it is a person contract approved by the guildmaster is subject to the proper distribution among guildmembers and the treasury. Any member of the guild violating this rule is subject to a trial by the Assassin Council. The Contract Terms Herein lie the terms that all patrons of the Assassin's Guild must agree to when contracting a task. All contracts are verbal agreements only, but are considered binding by the Assassin's Guild. 1. The contracting guild agrees to pay the Assassin's Guild an amount determined by the Assassin's Guild, which will be disclosed before the pact is made, and which will be paid upon completion of the contract. Half of this amount is kept by the Assassin's Guild, while the other half is paid directly to the assassin performing the task. 2. The Assassin's Guild agrees to perform the agreed upon task during the month specified by the contracting guild. If a month is not specified, the Assassin's Guild will perform the task within three months. 3. The contracting guild may request a specific assassin to perform the task, but this increases the cost of the job, administered by increasing the cost Multiplier of the contract by one. 4. In the event that the Assassin's Guild does not complete the task, the contracting guild receives a single reduction in the cost of one future contract, administered by reducing the cost Multiplier of said contract by one. 5. If a party does not fulfill its contract obligations (by not paying the Assassin's Guild the agreed upon amount), they are subject to full persecution by the Assassin's Guild. The Price Guide The Assassin's Guild requires payment for its services. The cost of this payment will vary depending on the difficulty of the agreed upon task. Following is a guide for the pricing of assignments. Assignments are classified into three distinct groups. Each group has a corresponding Base Price and a set of possible Mulitpliers. To find the cost of a potential task, multiply the Base Cost by the total Multipliers. A task always costs at least as much as the Base Price, regardless of Mulitipliers. Espionage: Base Cost: 5,000 gp Multipliers: +1 per article of information contracted for, if information is specific +1 per 2 months of assignment, if assignment is on-going +1 per 3 members below 10 assigned guild has +1 per 5 ranks of Sense Motive assigned guild's Guild Master has Sabotage: Base Cost: 7,500 gp Multipliers: +1 per target item, holding, etc. if target(s) are specific +1 per month of assignment, if assignment is on going +1 per 3 members above 3 assigned guild has +1 per 5 ranks of Spot/Listen (whichever is higher) target guild's Guildmaster has +1 if target item, holding, etc. is protected from dimensional travel Assassination: Base Cost: 10,000 gp Mulitipliers: +1 per 2 levels of the target above 13 +1 per 5 ranks of Spot/Listen (whichever is higher) target has +1 per 5 points of Fortitude Save bonus beyond +5 target has. +1 per 5 points of Will Save bonus beyond +5 target has. +1 if target is protected from dimensional travel +3 if target is immune to critical hits Contracting an Assassin To contract an assassin for the performance of a task, an individual (acting on his own or representing a guild) must contact the Guildmaster of the Assassin's Guild in a private communication detailing the nature of the proposed contract. The Guildmaster will then respond to the contracting individual in a similarly private communication, detailing the price of the contract. If the contracting affirms the contract through a final communication, the Guildmaster will then dispatch an assassin of his choosing to perform the contracted task. A party may request a specific assassin whose work they know, but this increases the price of the contract. Because the name of the assassin performing a task is never given to the contracting party, they must describe any taks that the specific assassin has done to contract for that assassin. Becoming an Assassin To become an assassin, an applicant must locate the guild and show himself to the Guildmaster and any members present. By doing this, and surviving, the applicant has proven his worth and is considered a member of The Shadow's Breath and Blade. |
| Wilds08-29-05, 10:59 PM | OLD SBB THREAD (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=423804) unlike the past breath and blades, the members grouped into areas of specailty shadow = stealth breath = magic/psions blade = combat |
| Master_of_Flames08-29-05, 11:12 PM | I'll join. I'll pm you what character will join this guild and what his operative name will be. Oh, and he's going to wear a mask at all times that he is around anyone, to coneal his identity. |
| Wilds08-29-05, 11:44 PM | ok, spread the word on the guilds you are in. |
| Master_of_Flames08-30-05, 12:10 AM | A masked figure enter's the SB&B. From his lithe movements, you can tell that he is an elf. A longsword is strapped to his back, and a pair of shuriken pouches are on either side of his belt. Vials of every kind line his outfit, which fit's loosly and seems to meld with the shadows. Greeting's. I wish to offer my services to this guild. He said, bowing low. Now that he has moved closer, you can see the details of his mask. The left side has a crescent moon, stretching from the mouth to the eye. The otherside has a star shape where the eye should be. |
| Master_of_Flames08-30-05, 12:22 AM | If possible, I'd like for my character to be in charge of poison production. ;) he has knowledge of most poisons (including positoxins, poisons that effect undead) so that should be no problem for him. |
| Wilds08-30-05, 12:26 AM | good, we can make a poison garden like in the old one. So what title then? Apothrecy? or how ever that is spelled. Hmmm, im guessing stealth for group? |
| Master_of_Flames08-30-05, 12:32 AM | yeah. he has a mask of true seeing and a cloak of shadow's (allows him to use the spell shadow form three times per day) |
| Wilds08-30-05, 11:16 AM | sweet there will be votes to who gets what position. Unless, we dont get more people soon, in which case the place is yours. |
| thasis08-30-05, 03:14 PM | "I'm as usual back here. I may not be a DIRECT assassin levels but I do have abilities that are lethal that I wouldn't mind selling" |
| Master_of_Flames08-30-05, 03:49 PM | Say Wilds, can you set up a training course? |
| Wilds08-30-05, 07:50 PM | "All our welcomed to our guild. Non-assassins are as welcome as Assassins." Training course? like for what exactly? I can build one, its just gana take time, cause college takes up way to much time. |
| Wilds09-08-05, 12:34 PM | ....Forced to bump Any one else interested in joining the breath and blade? |
| Demonfey09-08-05, 12:50 PM | I'm in. {A letter drifts to the ground, with the words "Back and waiting-Tetsuo" on them...} |
| Wilds09-08-05, 01:52 PM | Cool, we have i think 4 peopel now, thats better than just me, hmm rurik is going to email me the coding from the last Sbab thread so i can use it when he has time |
| thasis09-08-05, 11:48 PM | Mmm, so we need something to do here now don't we. |
| Ashariana09-09-05, 02:28 AM | A tall insectoid figure walks into the halls. The occasional steel winking from beneath the mantle that is draped over his form. Black paint stains the chitin of his head and mandibles, giving a menacing appearance to his face. He approaches a table, taking an apple from beneath his mantle and setting it on the table. Four crescent shaped blades appear in his hands and his arms fly in a flurry. Flashes of metal here and there as his arms move at incredible speeds. Then, the blades disappear beneath his mantle, and the apple seems to be fine. Leaning down he blows on the apple, and it falls into tiny peices. Upon closer investigation, Kik-Petwk is also carved into the table. He looks toward the guild master and nods to him, as if in offering. In case it wasn't apparent in the roleplaying... I intend to join with this character. |
| Wilds09-09-05, 08:28 AM | "Very nice, you will do well here." Ya we do, hmmm a competition then. The competition is who can make the most bizarre posion out of an everyday plant (dandelines, grass, etc.) but still have an extremely effective use? O, ya, if any one has the link to their char, please post it, so i can make a hyperlink on the first post, thanks |
| alaron09-14-05, 09:25 PM | IF this thing goes count me in. my character is on one of the char threads, or I could just PM it to you or post for review before reenlistment. either way PM me or E-mail me to tell me when this game starts, or when ever there is any disscussion of importatn stuff,(I will let you all be the judge of that) I would rather start from the ground up so do not reenstate my position, please. I can do all three pretty well, (paticularly 1 and three) shadow and blade |
| gabrion09-24-05, 10:39 AM | I was a part of this guild at one time but but left the forums for a while. With any luck I will be reviving my old wizardy assassin for the SBB. Speaking of which, does anyone know what happened to the characters posted on the old character threads? I don't have a copy of my wizard on my hard drive so if he's gone from cyberspace too I guess I'll have to build from scratch. |
| Wilds09-27-05, 01:38 PM | the old character thread 3? its somewhere, ill find a link here (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=360911) that should work, its not visible anymore, but the thread is still there |
| gabrion09-27-05, 07:22 PM | Thanks for the link Wilds, that saved a lot of time since I wont have to put my assassin together from scratch. BTW, is the SBB getting any contracts these days? |
| Wilds09-27-05, 07:34 PM | Not yet, things died when Rurik left, if we do though, I will post it. It seems that assassins arent needed as much as they might be. That will change soon though i think, the wars are starting and we can do the dirty work gabrion can i get the link for your char and teh chars name? |
| gabrion09-27-05, 07:42 PM | I'm also wondering how much people will really be into assassinations considering the nature of the IFGW. I mean people put a lot of time into making characters and even though it may make more sense to have an assassin kill someone for you (after all, we're professionals!), they are predisposed to fighting people with their own characters. Then again, maybe after people have their PCs die a few times, hiring a job done may be more appealing. I really don't know how true this speculation is, but I do hope we get some contracts! Here (http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=7365169&postcount=56) is a link to my assassin. His name at the moment is Shador, but that may change. |
| gabrion09-27-05, 07:54 PM | Hey Wilds, concerning your post at the "Beginnings" thread, don't you think we should have some kind of base? I know before people thought about using an inn as a front, with the guild hall underneath, but I would rather just have a secluded underground base in the Swap. As far as I can tell no one has claimed that territory yet, so I say we should! |
| Wilds09-27-05, 08:01 PM | Swamp? sure wth, it would be a good cover at least, ill state that |
| alaron09-30-05, 03:41 PM | The link to my character is this (http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=6042411&postcount=261) You will notice this is a good version and is slightly different from the one posted of the 4th character therad, the differences are soley formating, also a house is included in the characters possesions that is intended to be a gift to the guild, do with it what you wish Wilds. |
| gabrion09-30-05, 03:53 PM | Alaron! It's good to see some faces from the last SBB around still. It looks like the place has slowed down a bit, but hopefully we will get some contracts soon. |
| gabrion10-03-05, 03:38 AM | @Wilds-I think an alliance of sorts with the Winterleaf (or whatever they are called) wouldn't be a bad idea, but if they put harsh stipulations on it we should be clear that the SBB will not be bound by another group. Just my 2 cents. |
| Wilds10-03-05, 11:26 AM | lol 1 step a head of you, did that last nightish. but it will not interfere wiht our business |
| gabrion10-03-05, 06:37 PM | lol 1 step a head of you, did that last nightish. but it will not interfere wiht our business Nice. I cringe at thinking of the SBB as embracing "fidelity" toward that group on their terms. |
| Demonfey10-03-05, 06:39 PM | In the mean time, Tetsuo's going to continue dropping notes... |
| gabrion10-03-05, 06:58 PM | In the mean time, Tetsuo's going to continue dropping notes... LOL, I feel like playing ninja gaiden. |
| Demonfey10-03-05, 07:43 PM | That's because Tetsuo's a ninja. :D |
| Wilds10-03-05, 08:24 PM | Nice. I cringe at thinking of the SBB as embracing "fidelity" toward that group on their terms. they dont seem like wanting to have a mutual alliance though, seem to think they its their place though i do have to give them one good note, their lack of a definate member ship could prove to be rather annoying. It might just result in us "cleansing" other guilds of their reputed members if they become a threat |
| Demonfey10-03-05, 08:28 PM | If I may take over negotiations? |
| Wilds10-06-05, 07:38 PM | Sure. I am not that good at "negotiating" or "diplomacy" in rl i prefer actions to words, whihc some how has found its way here. So you may take over. It would seem that we shall be needed soon as the dms have decided that you must actually have surveliance on the target, meaning that we will get an income soon, or the guilds are gana screw themselves over |
| Wilds10-10-05, 11:22 AM | Presuming nothing else bad happens at the guard keep, thigns shoudl get moving as the need for our talents are warrented. Or at least I hope, guilds seem to like taking all aspects into their own hands now. |
| Wilds10-17-05, 10:14 PM | Declare where your member is in the guild the shadow (stealth) blade (combat) breath (magic/psionics) The time approaches. Assemble assassines assemble |
| gabrion10-17-05, 10:20 PM | Declare where your member is in the guild the shadow (stealth) blade (combat) breath (magic/psionics) The time approaches. Assemble assassines assemble w00t! Shador does the magic stuff (he is a wizard), but his prefered job is assassinations (as oppossed to doing recon or sabatoge). I need to get him approved though (which means I need to button up a few loose ends on the character sheet). |
| Wilds10-18-05, 12:56 PM | hes listed under the breath. The categorys are only to show what you specialize in. You can do others |
| Demonfey10-21-05, 03:23 PM | Tetsuo glides in on two wings that remind you of a raven's wings, and lands in front of the guild leader I just got us a job. Before I can do it, though, I'm going to need a thinaun blade and something that generates silence, preferrably something that is activatable, so it wouldn't have to be replaced every single time. |
| Wilds10-21-05, 03:30 PM | Only guild members read below: "Silence? We can find such an item. To affect yourself or someone else? there is a bow i know of that is rather useful in that area. We will look for a blade. Are you going to need any assistance?" What is a thinaun blade and where could i find its stats? |
| Demonfey10-21-05, 03:38 PM | Before I forget: shadow Thinaun: metal known for trapping the soul of the dead it touches. It can only hold a soul at a time, making the soul unraisable unless in the hands of the deceased. +10,000 gp for a light weapon, has to be masterwork. I was thinking something that begins on yourself, and then surrounds a thirty foot area, and maybe something like a ring. Small, wearable, and usable by those that don't like to use bows. That way, you won't draw attention from noise, or tip off the target by accident. Actually, if you made it a mask, that would probably work very well, actually. I'm thinking guild insignia, like a drow insignia that is crafted to be unique for each member, with certain spells that are assassin friendly in them. Unfortunately, I left the book that has that at home, although I got most of the ones I'd need. *Thanks to VampiricBloodlustNemesis for making me think of drow insignia.* |
| Demonfey10-21-05, 10:37 PM | Info thanks to Sargatanas: Drow House insignia: ...An insignia has a single minor magical ability that can be used once per day, usually a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd level spell... ...Each insignia is slightly different, even those of the same noble house, so it is possible that a person aware of the unique shape of a person's insignia can magicall locate that person. Caster Level: 5th, Market Price: 360gp (1st level spell), 2,160 (2nd level spell), or 5,400gp (3rd level spell) 1lb. I'm personally getting a mask that does a silence spell. Price: 2160 gp |
| Wilds10-22-05, 08:17 PM | so teh guild gana do teh insignia or is that for your char? the guild can get the specail blade you need |
| Demonfey10-22-05, 09:38 PM | I did my own mask, but the insignia would be something good for the guild. Think about it: every assassin with a hidden spell that can be activated at any time once a day, anywhere from first to third level. My mask is holds a silence spell. |
| Wilds10-23-05, 12:52 PM | You I guess you have the blade now? Not to sure how to precrure it, but the guild has 12k less gold now i think? |
| Demonfey10-23-05, 01:11 PM | No, only 10k. I bought my own insignia. For type of weapon, let's say dagger. Ah, there's my dagger. Thank you. Now, to find the target. Total gold the guild has paid for this: 10,302 gold. |
| Wilds10-23-05, 02:50 PM | ok, need any help at all? |
| Demonfey10-23-05, 02:55 PM | Help's always welcome. |
| Wilds10-23-05, 03:12 PM | Hmmm just relaized that the only two other active members are arcane users..... My char can hide and move silently. Cant do much in close melee, but can blow things up nicely, not good though for what u want to do. Dont really know much about Gabrions char |
| Demonfey10-23-05, 03:13 PM | Still have to check over to see if ready for approval. |
| gabrion10-23-05, 04:05 PM | About me (SBB only): My character Shador is an 11th level caster, which makes him fairly versatile (scrying, teleporting, invisibility, etc). The real focus of the character is on a death attack though, which he can perform at range on pretty much any type of creature (undead and golems included), and which has a high DC. He's made to be a one man infiltration/kill and run type guy, but he'll help anyone in the guild if they need it. Of course, as demonfey pointed out, this is pending approval... |
| Wilds10-23-05, 04:06 PM | Sounds good once your approved. |
| Master_of_Flames10-23-05, 04:26 PM | Over a hundred ninja creep into the SB&B, thier blades hidden in thier belts. One of the ninja steps forward, bowing infront of (insert gild leader here). We are the last of the hidden dagger clan and are here to pledge our eternal alliegence to your guild and it's allies. :D Just got heroes of battle and I have an army of ninja ready, willing, and able to stalk into an enemy encampment and take it out. |
| Demonfey10-23-05, 04:42 PM | This will come in handy...who are your two strongest ninja? I have a mission, and could use backup to make sure the target doesn't manage to escape. |
| Wilds10-23-05, 04:51 PM | Over a hundred ninja creep into the SB&B, thier blades hidden in thier belts. One of the ninja steps forward, bowing infront of (insert gild leader here). We are the last of the hidden dagger clan and are here to pledge our eternal alliegence to your guild and it's allies. :D Just got heroes of battle and I have an army of ninja ready, willing, and able to stalk into an enemy encampment and take it out.    i cant stop laughing, that is great. They will be extremely useful. "Excellent.... Hmm now we have an army of ninjas. So many possibility unfold. Hmm small scale battles are possible now, but they would attract to much attention. 100+ shadows with blades will be useful though. You are welcome to the guild." |
| Master_of_Flames10-23-05, 05:15 PM | Well, someone needed to get an army of 'enforcers' for the guild. ;) It's the SB&B's own secret police, the ninja hide as normal people until called for duty, then do whatever thier contact tells them. I plan on having a pair in each guild, most of them likely being chefs or armor smiths. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder10-23-05, 05:28 PM | Why is Orcy suddenly reminded of the words "Law Ninjas! ATTACK!" |
| Master_of_Flames10-23-05, 05:31 PM | Because Zerin is Lawful Neutral? Maybe I should give them all ranks in proffesion (lawyer) :D |
| Master_of_Flames10-23-05, 05:52 PM | That would be me The masked ninja said, bowing low. My second in command has no training as a ninja, but is trained as a dread commando. A black robed ranger walked next to Zerin, a pair of bastard swords on his back. That would be me. We are the two best ninja in what was our villiage. Our villiage also had four scorpions, each one able to reload itself. If needed, we can bring those into play. |
| Wilds10-23-05, 06:04 PM | "Scorpions? I have never heard of those before. Are they large crossbows of sorts?" |
| Demonfey10-23-05, 06:19 PM | That would be me The masked ninja said, bowing low. Dread commando? Hmmm...how good would you be at creating a distraction in case something went wrong, and then disappearing before you were overwhelmed? |
| Master_of_Flames10-23-05, 06:28 PM | They were payment for a mission during a milirtary campaign. They combine the power of the largest catapult into the frame of a balista. Pwerful, easy to move around, and they can be loaded with either bolts or stones. Our four scorpians can reload themselves, freeing up the rest of the forces to strike at our foes. The commando said, waving to someone behind him. Eight masked warriors brought forth a quadret of odd looking devices. A bolt was already loaded into each one, electricity crackling slightly. These are scorpians. If you want to set up some targets, we can show you thier effectivness. |
| Master_of_Flames10-23-05, 06:30 PM | Dread commando? Hmmm...how good would you be at creating a distraction in case something went wrong, and then disappearing before you were overwhelmed? We never get overwhelmed. Never. Zerin said defiantly. |
| Wilds10-23-05, 06:32 PM | "I do not see you getting overwhelmed easily. Except for maybe that undead horde, but that does not matter to us. Yes a demonstration would do nicely." so did we get the swamp woods? or are we gana float around the citys? |
| Demonfey10-23-05, 06:35 PM | :mymy: ... I don't think they'll be necessary for an assassination for one person... Anyway, I just need two people for backup, one to help me against the target, one to act as look out with some, shall we say... assistance, from our employer, and to act as a distraction in case things go south. |
| Wilds10-23-05, 06:37 PM | "No no no, they are not necassary to tkae out one person. More like defense, or an outright attack paid for by some other guild. They will be useful, though not in the mission you are working on." |
| Master_of_Flames10-23-05, 06:44 PM | 3d6 damage for a bolt and 6d6 damage for a stone, and they cost 1,250gp a pop. And they have a max range of 1k feet. They can take out an undead army before the enemy forces arrive. My character's fortress, the citadel of the hidden dagger, stays floating in one spot over the Deep Groves, so that could possibly become a power center for the group. |
| Demonfey10-23-05, 06:50 PM | Never heard of the siege weapon before. Stronghold builder's, by any chance? Also, I just asked our current employers if they want us to attempt wiping out an entire guild for them, since I think they'd love that. The scorpions may have a use yet. |
| Master_of_Flames10-23-05, 06:58 PM | Can I know the employer's name? And it's in Heroes of Battle. Come to think of it, I think I have a pretty good idea who the employer is... But don't they already have a large enough army? |
| Demonfey10-23-05, 07:00 PM | Don't do that, we don't want to tip off the target. |
| Master_of_Flames10-23-05, 07:10 PM | The Hidden Dagger Clan members are ranked by the type of masks they have. The highest ranking members have adamantine masks that are lined with lead. The lowest ranking members have only partial masks that cover thier eyes. |
| Demonfey10-23-05, 07:13 PM | Ghost faced killer, wears a normally blank mask, now wears a mask with special magical markings in it. |
| Master_of_Flames10-23-05, 07:18 PM | Zerik isn't a ghost faced killer, but his mask is black with a red moon and a blue star on there. |
| Demonfey10-23-05, 07:21 PM | Oops, correction: ninja/ghostfaced killer. Means I get to scare people to death by stabbing them. |
| Wilds10-23-05, 07:33 PM | Lol, nice. Too bad the dead dont talk, cause all they would do then is scream |
| Demonfey10-24-05, 07:02 PM | To quote Walter against an army of undead called ghouls (think zombies, just called something else): "Too slow! Ghouls are only ghouls in the end. Putting their persistence to work was a good idea...But as you'll see! This army's far from IMMORTAL or INVINCIBLE." *entire army is sliced to pieces with a pulling of wires.* Which leads to my new magical weapon Gloves of bladed destruction: The wearer of these gloves can make up to five +1 vorpal razorwire garrotes from rings placed on each finger. To use them correctly, the wearer must have exotic weapon proficiency (razorwire garrote), weapon finesse, and a dexterity of at least 20. Incorrect use results in a mess due to the user being caught in the wires and the enemies getting better handholds. The garrotes, when used this way, attach to both gloves, limiting reach to 25 feet with them, and each does slashing damage. Three times a day, the gloves allow the user to increase the number of wires so that dozens of wires can hit multiple targets in what could be considered a web of razor sharp wires until either concentration is broken or all targets are dead/out. To use this, the user must stand stock still, and if they move, the effect ends as the wires all snap off the rings and all enemies are freed. Each target within a half circle of twenty five by fifty feet is caught in the web, and it takes an pair of opposed escape artist checks to escape unharmed, against a grapple check made by the wearer. If the first check succeeds and the second fails, then the person is partially trapped, and roll a d4 to find out if it's a limb or limbs, 1 and 3 being one arm or one leg, 2 and 4 being both arms or both legs, taking 1d4 a round from razorwire cutting into their limbs. This takes an escape artist check of 20. Failing all rolls means that they are completely unable to move, and that takes an escape artist check of 40 to escape, taking 2d4 damage a round. Succeeding both rolls means you escape the web unharmed. Armor, even full plate, is cut by it as though with a sword, so it doesn't help as much as some would think. In other words, treat as giving the feat sunder for situations involving its entanglement power. Each victim is on a different roll, and if there is a critical roll on a twenty, after confirmation, the target is killed. Each wire does 2d4 damage, plus 1.5 times the strength modifier. For a more "person friendly" approach, the garrote wires can be made so that they don't cut things to bits. This use can wrap around items and be used to bring them closer. It can retrieve weapons (sleight of hand 20), be used to catch people falling without any really severe damage (such as being cut into tiny portions from the wire and gravity), using a Use rope check in combination with a sleight of hand check. Finally, it can also be used as a scaling tool, to a certain degree. Cost: 72,000+20,000+500=92,500 gp Need decapitating scarf spell to make, CL 14. |
| Master_of_Flames10-24-05, 07:21 PM | I'm replacing that with my elven courtblade...... Definatly. Yep, definatly... Btw, almost finished. I took landlord so that I can have my floating base. I highly, highly suggest getting the HoB book when you can. It has things like commander aura's (Zerin has the melee commander aura, which helps melee pople around him) and team based tactics (infiltration, assasin, espoinage, etc) |
| Demonfey10-24-05, 07:24 PM | This item still has to pass the materials thread. You could probably take the requirements now, though. Oh, and before anyone asks, that quote is my way of giving credit where credit is due. |
| Master_of_Flames10-25-05, 07:46 PM | Zerin jumped through the floor, rematerializing as he landed. My forces are on thier way from our clan's new villiage, but it will take them several days to arrive, assuming bandits and the like don't get too cocky and decide to raid a fully stocked caravan. He said. You can now see several new items on him. Several jet black disks with strange symbols are attached to his vest, and vials line his chest strap, assumingly full of highly potent toxins. I'm ready for the first ever SB&B mission. Woe be to he who thinks Zerin is a pushover. I won't reveal his tactics, but lets just say those blasts disks have another use.... Anyway, as I said, I'm set to go. So if my character could be checked over, then we can begin the mission.... |
| Demonfey10-25-05, 09:51 PM | I'll do that in a minute/two. |
| Wilds10-25-05, 09:57 PM | Can i get a link to your char if u dont mind for the first post? |
| Demonfey10-25-05, 10:18 PM | Where's your character in the PC4 thread? |
| Wilds10-25-05, 10:43 PM | me or mof? |
| Demonfey10-25-05, 10:55 PM | MoF. |
| Master_of_Flames10-25-05, 11:03 PM | Zerin, Lord of the Hidden Dagger Clan (http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=7063744&postcount=38) Link above. Oh, and when I say his forces are arriving, I mean his entire fortress. :D |
| Wilds10-25-05, 11:15 PM | Lol I doubt any one will see a crawling fortress |
| Demonfey10-25-05, 11:19 PM | The fortress is out of my jurisdiction (don't have the necessary materials.) |
| Wilds10-25-05, 11:29 PM | I wasnt saying that towards you. Pertaining to verification that it can be used. I just read the cost list and it has crawling with slothfull speed. i find that funny for some random reason |
| Demonfey10-25-05, 11:31 PM | I know. I just wanted to put it down in text somewhere now. |
| Master_of_Flames10-25-05, 11:36 PM | The fortress should be according to rules. It's the only settlement for miles around, aside from the villiage that the clan uses as a cover, it can go near the building materials (thus reducing the need for costly caravans of building supplies, my characters cohort is the clan's wu jen, and can cast stone wall and thus reduce much of the construction cost for the walls, and it goes near mines, raids them (kobolds beware!) and uses the materials for it's own use. Oh, and it usually retreats into the ancient forests. I'm going to see about Zerin allying with the forest dwellers foundation (who should have all of the forest areas in tyrannor for obvious reasons). :D |
| Demonfey10-25-05, 11:41 PM | I just don't have the required stuff to do it. |
| Demonfey10-25-05, 11:45 PM | Okay, three things I need to know more on, and then you're set. Blast disks, black lotus poison, and wyvern poison: Where are the rules for each? |
| Wilds10-25-05, 11:45 PM | Ok Demon makes sense Lol MoF if u do go into the forest dont shoot the big wolf ok? He wont take liking to being shot at. |
| Demonfey10-25-05, 11:46 PM | Or the one with the demon wings. He really, really, REALLY, won't like it. |
| Master_of_Flames10-25-05, 11:47 PM | The poisons: Complete Adventurer page......*breaks out book from safe* 98. The blast disks: Heroes of Battle, page 131. I'll pm you the info on both. If I hit the wolf, he wouldn't feel anything for long. My character has poison on almost everything. Except himself. THe demon on the other hand... lets just say the two shugenja might think you're an oni. |
| Wilds10-25-05, 11:48 PM | Lol i was tryign to be serious for once and it goes down as total sarcasm. I have a werewolf char in that guild. :D |
| Demonfey10-25-05, 11:54 PM | The poisons: Complete Adventurer page......*breaks out book from safe* 98. The blast disks: Heroes of Battle, page 131. I'll pm you the info on both. If I hit the wolf, he wouldn't feel anything for long. My character has poison on almost everything. Except himself. THe demon on the other hand... lets just say the two shugenja might think you're an oni. One of him is an oni. And he doesn't like shugenja... On poison, I'd personally go for collosal scorpion poison, save 54, initial/secondary 2d8 strength, 9000 gp a dose. |
| Master_of_Flames10-26-05, 12:07 AM | 1,500gp For Zerin to make. He'd have to hunt down and kill the vermin first though.... Better make sure the ac is working in the fortress and he has enough magic energy to get there. *6 days later* Almost there.. *6 more days* now...where the hell is that scorpian...... |
| Demonfey10-26-05, 12:09 AM | That'd take, let's see...33 hours to make. |
| Master_of_Flames10-26-05, 12:20 AM | Yyeah, plus I have a workshop specificaly for poisons (I think...I dunno, I'm too tired to think) |
| Demonfey10-26-05, 12:30 AM | I'd say that your character starts at 1 am tonight, which has it end about 10 am Thursday. |
| Wilds10-26-05, 10:03 AM | Ouch thats a while. I think you would need some sort of lab or posion making tools. Sounds good though. Theres a bunch of posions listed on the old SBB thread. An entire garden actually, which i think we might still have use of |
| Demonfey10-26-05, 08:32 PM | The alchemy check to make it is 35. The fortitude save required is 54. |
| Master_of_Flames10-26-05, 08:53 PM | Don't you mean craft(poison)? Oh, and two final purchases made for Zerin. One is Badak's eye (used as a last resort after whittly away at a foes stats with poisons). The second is an obsidian mask, the symbol of his status among his people. |
| Demonfey10-26-05, 08:58 PM | Alright. I believe out of the grafts Igor can make, you'd get the most use out of maybe the climbing legs, sensory array (gives tremor sense), and maybe the poison fangs. |
| Master_of_Flames10-26-05, 09:14 PM | He'll have to wait to make them (unless he doesn't need the cash upfront) for them until our mission is over and we get paid. Which reminds me....... WHEN ARE WE GOING TO START THE DAMNED MISSION!!?? Sorry, anxious to see what a level 15 ninja can do. |
| Demonfey10-26-05, 09:20 PM | SOON AS I GET A GO-AHEAD FROM THE GMS! On a side note, I don't see anything wrong with your character. |
| Master_of_Flames10-26-05, 09:31 PM | ok. :D And here's a little peak into what Zerin is currently doing..... All is going according to plan my master. The people of Tyranor have no idea of what you plan to do. Once the guilds tear eachother apart, they'll ripe for your legions to pour in.... Zerin said, kneeling infront of a cloaked and masked figure. The mask on the mysterious figure was pure platinum, a single star in the middle of it. And that's all you get for now! Maybe more after the mission is done..... |
| gabrion10-27-05, 02:49 AM | Shador, who has been notably absent fromt he guild for some time (since last thread actually), returns one afternoon, wearing his usual dark robes, carrying his usual plain staff, and having the usual menacing look on his face. Description of Shador for those who care how he looks, but don't know:Description: Shador Blackstone is a darkly dressed traveler, who by the looks of him has come many miles to reach the guild house. He wears robes of the darkest black hue, and carries a small pack slung over his shoulder which appears to hold all of his earthly possessions. His dress and lack of weapon or armor, along with the traces of a tattoo following the line of his neck as it exits the robes he wears, would indicate that he is a practitioner of the arcane arts. If you are used to wizards implementing their skills to obtain knowledge of the enemy and prepare for operations, then you are a bit shocked when Shador reveals that he is here not to scry or enchant, but to work as an assassin. Living in the Shadows Breath and Blade for as long as you have, his calm demeanor in the presence of so many death-dealers is an attitude you are familiar with. For those of you who converse briefly with him, you find that he keeps most of his history private (a common trait amongst many of you no doubt), but he tells you in a very polite manner from whence he has traveled. He also has no problem sharing with you some of the dirty deeds he has done in the past, although you suspect the stories he tells are only loosely based on the true facts-after all, a good assassin knows better than to speak about his jobs after they are finished. In any case, a second consideration of his calm demeanor leads you to the fleeting thought that maybe he is too comfortable with the deaths of others…but then you regain your senses, after all you are an assassin and he is simply another of your kind. "Well the breath and blade was more difficult to find since the last time I was here, but I suppose that's a good thing in our line of work. In any case, my personal business is largely complete and I will once again be staying here, assuming my membership is still in good standing. I'll be aranging my things if anyone needs me." OOC: Shador Blackstone (http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=7365169&postcount=56) is now approved and ready to kill things for the assassins. He is capable at doing many things (most of his levels are from aracane casting), but his prefered job is actually killing people. He will be waiting in case we get more contracts. |
| Wilds10-27-05, 10:26 AM | Sweet, now we just need the rest of the contracts to be verified and then the fun starts |
| turalisj10-28-05, 03:26 PM | Why am I never told when we move our hq?!? I went to where we were located before, and it's been turned into an orphanage. Well, was atleast.... Turalisj's voice said from behind Shador. |
| Wilds10-28-05, 05:40 PM | "Orphange...... Who made that call? Well never mind. Welcome back." |
| Demonfey10-28-05, 05:56 PM | Wasn't it put up for bidding? |
| turalisj10-28-05, 06:19 PM | Some paladin bought it, tore away all of the hidden rooms, traps, and the like, then turned it into an orphanage. Or, atleast, that's what I got from the person who used to run it.... |
| Wilds10-28-05, 11:18 PM | "Strange, wonder if he found the ummm talking rooms in the basement. Well as long as nothing was comprosmised then everything is ok. Now to business. How goes the first operation?" |
| turalisj10-28-05, 11:27 PM | I made sure he didn't realise what he came upon realy was. In fact.... Turalisj said, reaching into his sack. He threw a head down to the floor, the helmet still on it. You can ask him yourself what he found. |
| Wilds10-28-05, 11:30 PM | "................Did u dispose of the body at least?" |
| turalisj10-28-05, 11:32 PM | Yeah, yeah. I have something to do real fast though... Turalisj said, disappearing. |
| Wilds10-28-05, 11:36 PM | "Ok" He waves a hand at the dismembered head. It erupts in flames and disapears. |
| turalisj10-28-05, 11:46 PM | :D I can't wait to see the reactions of the GoPG members..... :P |
| Demonfey10-28-05, 11:47 PM | "Strange, wonder if he found the ummm talking rooms in the basement. Well as long as nothing was comprosmised then everything is ok. Now to business. How goes the first operation?" Having trouble locating the target. Give us some time, though. Still waiting for approval of the mission. |
| Wilds10-29-05, 12:14 PM | "Understood, Good Luck wiht the mission. I am of no help in finding targets so its up to you and your other group members to find your target." |
| Wilds10-29-05, 12:17 PM | random side note for all: GoPG is getting a character that can resurrect people. |
| turalisj10-29-05, 12:42 PM | ............. *goes to get the body back* |
| Wilds10-29-05, 12:48 PM | lol |
| Blasphemous Revenant10-30-05, 09:44 PM | A beautiful woman in expensive clothing enters the Assassin Guild's new location, followed by a shadowy figure in a black cloak. Homunculi patrol outside. "Greetingz, Breath and Blade of the Shadow. Az I understand, your vork and talentz match my own. If you permit, I vould like to join you. I am Bellatrix, and this iz my huzband," she says, gesturing to the cloaked man. |
| Wilds10-30-05, 10:02 PM | "Greetings, You are welcome here. My I ask though. You do not seem well living, what are you?" |
| gabrion10-31-05, 04:00 PM | I have a question. Are members of the SBB allowed to kill people they don't like independently of the SBB, or must they have a sanction from the guild to do any killing? |
| Wilds10-31-05, 05:13 PM | You can kill people you dont like. Just make sure that the person isnt a target already for the guild. Independently yes, contracts should still go through the guild though. You can recruit other members if you wish, it is up to the parties to discusse it from there. If any one gets attacked. It is presumed guild members will come to their aid ASAP |
| Blasphemous Revenant11-01-05, 12:06 AM | "Greetings, You are welcome here. My I ask though. You do not seem well living, what are you?" Bellatrix giggles at this comment. "I am... Human, more or less. Just... less vulnerable. When I stalk my victims, perhaps my form shall be more apparent. "But, enough about myself. Vhat is the current state-of-affairs here?" Who died? What's with the dismembered head? |
| Demonfey11-01-05, 12:15 AM | Just some paladin. Turalisj's business on that. Let's see...Bellatrix, wife of Valde Immodicus, status: undead, one "child", also undead, types unknown, due to it never coming up really. Just don't ask why I know until after a current mission. |
| Blasphemous Revenant11-01-05, 12:30 AM | Just some paladin. Turalisj's business on that. Let's see...Bellatrix, wife of Valde Immodicus, status: undead, one "child", also undead, types unknown, due to it never coming up really. Just don't ask why I know until after a current mission. The cloaked figure removes his hood, revealing the face of a handsome Drow with long jet black hair. Valde Immodicus speaks freely and without faltering. "I hadn't realized we were so well known. Well, as long as people don't show up on my doorstep trying to sell me stuff. "I am hardly an assassin, but I possess some spellcasting ability, including stealth and divination. If there is need of me, perhaps I could be of assistance on occasion." |
| Demonfey11-01-05, 12:37 AM | You actually aren't, yet. I just have, shall we say, "business" with the two that run the Temple, and I make it my business to know about people. |
| Wilds11-01-05, 01:23 AM | "You are welcome to stay here if you wish. We have people everywhere, so certain things are known to us." |
| Blasphemous Revenant11-01-05, 05:13 PM | "I am curious about something. Does the Shadow's Breath and Blade have any enemies? It would be expected that, because of your line of work, there would be some that would oppose what it is you do." |
| Demonfey11-01-05, 05:34 PM | Very few pay attention to us, unless they need a job done. Maybe after we do something, they'll notice us, but not before. |
| Blasphemous Revenant11-01-05, 05:52 PM | "Very interesting. I look forward to working with you in the future, but for the moment, I must go." Valde Immodicus simply walks from the halls. Bellatrix stays behind when her husband leaves. "Vould any of you mind updating me on the current status of things?" |
| Demonfey11-01-05, 05:57 PM | Nothing much is happening here, except for old and new members beginning to arrive. |
| Wilds11-01-05, 06:43 PM | "As of now we dont have any sworn enemies. But I have a feeling that will change soon after a few missions." |
| gabrion11-01-05, 06:53 PM | "As of now we dont have any sworn enemies. But I have a feeling that will change soon after a few missions." Shador would laugh at this if he were capable of expressing lighthearted emotions. Instead he just says, "Well if the jobs are done correctly, people will have no reason to think of us as enemies. Either way, from all the news across the land of undead armies and the like, even those who would be oppossed to our kind of work probably wouldn't focus their attention on us." |
| Blasphemous Revenant11-01-05, 06:53 PM | "Have ve any jobs yet?" |
| Wilds11-01-05, 06:56 PM | "As of now that is relativly classified but yes, we have a job. Several more have been brought up, but the proprietor has disappeared." |
| Blasphemous Revenant11-03-05, 06:35 PM | Belltrix stirs. "Vhat are your accomplishments so far? Have you a library of your creations and records of your achievements?" |
| Wilds11-03-05, 06:45 PM | "Our achievements are not written down where any one can see them. But we do have a list of poisions and other goods." Right here (http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=6090701&postcount=1) scroll down and there should be sblocks containing the information |

But surely you have created many veapons and devices to better suit your purposes. It could be beneficial to have a 'library' or place of storage for our creations vhere only our eyes might find them." By-the-way, Bellatrix is supposed to have a Transylvannian accent, like Dracula. I've noticed that your guild had previously had "item creation competitions". It might be interesting to have a "secret library" where only guildmembers could see our creations. This secret library could be on another website, the location of which is only revealed to members through PMs or emails (to keep it secret), or it could be a simple compilation of the creations, kept by the Guildmaster or similar official on his computer (a Word document with links to the items and such). |

Well that would be kinda tough since in order to use any of the creations from the competitions we would need to have them approved, which as of yet has been a public process. |
| Blasphemous Revenant11-03-05, 07:24 PM | Well that would be kinda tough since in order to use any of the creations from the competitions we would need to have them approved, which as of yet has been a public process. Hmm, that would be difficult. Maybe we could work something out with the GMs? |
| Wilds11-03-05, 07:38 PM | you can try if u wish. A cohesive library of all aproved materials in the GW would be good, but raises security issues |
| alaron11-08-05, 04:37 PM | If characters have been approved I do not know about it, but I am more than a willing to begin participating again, consider Vorren at your service. |
| Demonfey11-08-05, 04:52 PM | Sorry. I'll get back to approvals sometime... |
| Wilds11-10-05, 09:01 PM | Sweet any got any more contracts? |
| Wilds11-21-05, 07:56 PM | We are in the swamp officially now |
| alaron11-21-05, 08:29 PM | do not forget about he house that is a gift to the guild leader that was given by my character vorren. It will come into play whenever my character is approved |
| Wilds11-21-05, 09:02 PM | Wow, cool. Big enough for more than just one person? |
| Wilds11-27-05, 09:56 PM | "Has any one heard word about the Winterleaf group that is trying to take our turf?" |
| Demonfey11-27-05, 10:09 PM | Not since the alliance treaty meeting began. Also, we have no alliance with them. We should throw our lot with the evil triumvirate. |
| gabrion11-27-05, 10:17 PM | I sure wish people would hire us to do some killin. |
| Demonfey11-27-05, 10:21 PM | We have. Unfortunately, the target has yet to show itself. |
| Wilds11-27-05, 11:41 PM | Mini-Trodgar time :D im gana wait... |
| Demonfey11-27-05, 11:57 PM | The Demon walks in Here's the deal: find the Guild of Pure Good, and I will not begin a mass sacrifice to Garyx. Don't, and I will devastate everything on this continent. Begin searching. |
| Wilds11-28-05, 12:24 AM | "Thats......pleasent..... Ok, we are going to find the Goody guild. Being sacrificed is not high on my priorities right now, so lets get moving." |
| Demonfey11-28-05, 12:25 AM | Excellent. I would suggest starting with the mountains. I have people covering the forest. |
| Zombomaniac11-28-05, 12:45 AM | "As per our treaty you may search the lands of Stone Town and trust that we do not hold your sworn enemies in our lands, but know that you are not to destroy any of our lands. You are forbidded to 'burn the trees and spread salt." The firgure stating this is a man in dark leather armor and equaly dark hair. He carries a Great Sword on his back and has a set of manacles around his left arm. You do not recognice him from those that normally speak for Stone Town and the Order. |
| Demonfey11-28-05, 12:48 AM | You are still on GoUE lands. You are exempt. If their guild is not found, then the continent in general will suffer, yes, but I did tell her what would happen. |
| Zombomaniac11-28-05, 12:53 AM | "As long as the Laws are kept." I think Red fits with his personality better than blue. |
| Demonfey11-28-05, 12:57 AM | Me, too. Remember, as pertaining to our agreement, if I find out that you harbor Silimna or her family in your town, or any members of the GoPG in it, your guild is fair game. |
| Wilds11-28-05, 01:10 AM | "Who are you and what are you doing here?" |
| Zombomaniac11-28-05, 01:13 AM | "So says the Laws, so shall it be. As we speak Lord Gabriel is speaking to the citizens of Stone Town, but Aramel, disciple of Ilmatar, and friend to all those who suffer is given entrance into our lands so long as he does not hide himself or bring the Elf with him, as he is a member of the Order." [EDIT] "I am Edward, Commander of the Retreavers Squad and 3rd in Command of the Order. I was sent to speak on the Order's behalf." |
| Wilds11-28-05, 01:14 AM | "O, that new peaceful group. We have no issues with you. Be at peace" |
| Zombomaniac11-28-05, 01:19 AM | "Ha, yes....peaceful. Hahaha." |
| Wilds11-28-05, 10:11 AM | "Your not? In that case I suggest you leave or explain yourself before any one here gets ummm.....bored" |
| Wilds12-07-05, 10:15 PM | "Does any one know who this freelancer is? He is treading on rocky ground." |
| Demonfey12-08-05, 12:56 AM | So far, he's a completely unknown element. |
| Wilds12-08-05, 05:54 PM | "This freelancer is to be considered hostile and kill on site. He does not fear us. So No Mercy, he is too be killed and then his body hung in the central city as an explain." |
| Demonfey12-08-05, 05:56 PM | Agreed. Terminate with extreme prejudice? If so, I'm going to have to borrow something from my master, Crowley. I believe he calls it a "staple gun". |
| Wilds12-08-05, 06:02 PM | "Extremem prejudice, just bring back the head if you can. It needs to go on a stake. Yes prejudice, extreme. excellent" |
| Demonfey12-08-05, 06:05 PM | They never did find the spleen of that one guy that tried to assassinate him...or the lungs or heart, for that matter. Also, why just put the head on a spike, when we can nail it to the front door? |
| Wilds12-08-05, 06:10 PM | "Some one else tried to take out the freelancer? True the front door is a more fitting place" |
| Demonfey12-08-05, 06:16 PM | No, I'm talking about the last poor soul to ever try and assassinate Crowley. Let's just say that bombards don't go there, and leave it at that. |
| turalisj12-08-05, 06:19 PM | I'm pulling my soulknife character out if the ifgw, but I'll be sticking in a kalashtar infiltrator (psionic rouge5/psionic assasin10) to help with any missions. |
| Darkuwa12-08-05, 06:48 PM | A man wrapped in black cloth enters the Shadow's Breath and Blade and approaches its leader. "You are Kelreth the warmage, the leader of this guild?" He paused but not long enough for an answer. "My name is Darkuwa, I am in need of work and..." His eyes, the only part of him visible, appeared to smile. "this is the place where my talents would be put to the best use." |
| gabrion12-08-05, 07:56 PM | "This freelancer is to be considered hostile and kill on site. He does not fear us. So No Mercy, he is too be killed and then his body hung in the central city as an explain." Shador, who has been sitting in the corner as he normally does, peering into a scrying mirror, rises at the discussion of this strange character. "What is this you speak of? Someone else is encroaching on our control of the assassination business? Well to be perfectly honest, I don't find this very suprising considering the fact that we don't actually do anything around here. Hell, I'm tempted to go see if he wants a hand with this work...at least that way I could actually get a chance to kill something." |
| Demonfey12-08-05, 08:04 PM | Too hostile. We're talking about "kills for fun" hostile. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-08-05, 08:23 PM | A large creature slithers through the doorway, it's body is covered in black scales and it's head holds many tentacles that fall down around it like hair. The creature looks around the room at the assassins and spys and it bows it's head low, it's tendrils almost reaching the floor. "Ashdautas Vrasubatlat, Afar Angathfark. Gajirm jishotasaun hi-stroh. Fark fha-bashkaum nadar, shun Bajrak." |
| turalisj12-08-05, 08:24 PM | And what is wrong with that? A human like being said, siping hot chocoalte in the corner. I hope you don't mind, Turalisj gave me his key. I'm his replacement. Haven't gotten a name for him yet, but he's going to be a psion(egoist)/planar vanguard (http://wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20031219a) That means he has his own demiplane in which he can stick prisoners. He also has a small fortress there, with it having hundreds of prisons, toture chambers (he's become adept at torture) |

| Orcy The Green Wonder12-08-05, 08:37 PM | "Amal Zotan-lufutatar?" The creature pulls a scroll from a bag at it's side. It looks around the room at the different peoples and seems to be waiting for a specific person, though it doesn't know who it is apparently. |
| turalisj12-08-05, 08:38 PM | Well, that can be a bother. I will have to see about tracking him down... Anyway, my name is But just as he said his name, a owl screech blocks out all noise. Damn owl. Lets try this again... My name is He tried to say his name again, but the owl screeched again. Spawn of a daelkyr! That owl keeps following me around. One second.. His body molded and reshaped itself into a gargoyle, and he flew towards the owl. A ripping sound is heard, then an old man yelling, and finaly silence. |
| Demonfey12-08-05, 08:43 PM | "Amal Zotan-lufutatar?" The creature pulls a scroll from a bag at it's side. It looks around the room at the different peoples and seems to be waiting for a specific person, though it doesn't know who it is apparently. (I believe that's your cue, Wilds.) |
| Wilds12-08-05, 09:55 PM | Kelreth steps forward from the sudden gathering of people. "I am the leader of the Breath and Blade, this that intended for me or one of my associates?" |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-10-05, 12:06 AM | "Marr alog lamosh, afar Zotan-lufutatar ValTarbam. Ulat Zotan-lufutatar hi-stroh. Voshat lamash flas agh lak, strigz zaduk igu afar nar." The creature reaches it's hand out toward Kelreth, it's palm turning upward and offering the scroll. As it speaks it's face makes a sly smirk, ending with a rather... devious looking grin. |
| Wilds12-10-05, 02:44 PM | Kelreth takes the scroll from the creature. Motioning with his hand "Make sure our friend doesnt leave." With that a plain looking man appears behind the creature. A sword in his hand. "Now let us see what this is shall we?" Spellcraft check: 20 + 4(http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=310362) = 24 |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-10-05, 02:55 PM | The scroll does not appear to have any sorts of magic upon it. Though it does have some writing in broken common on it if one were to open it. Meanwhile the creature turns it's head to look at the man behind it and growls at his weapon. "Inras skraefa!" |
| turalisj12-10-05, 04:53 PM | The mystery guy appeared above the creature, a key in his hand. |
| Wilds12-10-05, 05:23 PM | "It is safe, put your weapon away." The man behind the creature puts his weapon away and walks to stand behind Kelreth. Pulling out pen and ink, Kelreth rights on the scroll and hands it back to the creature. He bows to the creautre. |
| Wilds12-10-05, 05:27 PM | Turning to face everyone present. "No actions shall be taken against teh Tholljut Kutotaz and they will commit no actions against us. We have an alliance." |
| turalisj12-10-05, 05:45 PM | The strange guy nodded and stuck the key directly in midair. A hole opened up, and he walked through it. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-10-05, 06:15 PM | The snake creature nods toward wilds and slithers out the door, taking the scroll with it. He growls toward those around him as he exits and heads toward the sea. |
| Dyne12-14-05, 10:32 PM | A man walks up the steps to the headquarters of the Shadow's Breath and Blade, the famed Assassin's Guild of Tyranor. He is protected by chainmail armor, composed of the light metal Mithral, and an elegant cloak billows behind him. A silver headband adorns his face, which bears a stalwart expression. "I am a representative of the Stormhand Federation and a diplomat of Bristol. I come offering terms of an agreement. "The Stormhand Federation would like to present an alliance to your guild. Although you are certain to have skilled warriors and fighters among you, it is dangerous to be without allies in these times. "Also, the Stormhand Federation would ask that you consider merging yourselves with them. Your skills would be highly prized, and in exchange you would receive a reliable customer, security, and support." |
| Wilds12-14-05, 10:44 PM | Kelreth steps forward. An average looking man, if by average one means apperiance alone. "I am the guild master here. Why do you seek a merger and what would we gain. And more importantly what would happen to me? |
| Dyne12-14-05, 10:50 PM | "We seek a merger because we seek power. Both of our groups would benefit from joining together. "If you agreed, the Stormhand Federation would become your main employer. You would receive a steady supply of income, and in return you would perform jobs for us on occasion. You would also be protected and covered by our forces. Your group would be asked to recognize Queen Ashariana as the monarch, but you would retain a great deal of independence." I'm not sure how it would work for your characters, though, since you seem to have one in both guilds. |
| Wilds12-14-05, 10:56 PM | I realized that two. And since both are espiionage based, it would be bad even if they were in teh same guild. One would most likely end up killing the other. Any way we might be able to kill off Kelreth? That would allow me to make a new character and get more RP in. "So we would be seperate still or under one power?" |
| gabrion12-14-05, 11:01 PM | Shador overhears the discussion and emerges from his corner of the room. "I though the point of this fine institution was to offer a service that anyone could buy. We are death dealers for hire, and we will do our services for anyone, given they pay the price. If we merge with the Stormhand Federation, we will obviously have a conflict of interest." |
| Wilds12-14-05, 11:02 PM | "True, that would go against what we are wouldnt it. Hmmm" |
| Dyne12-14-05, 11:14 PM | "Let me clear that up: you would be free to offer your services to other guilds, and would function normally in this regard. The only restriction would be the Queen would have to approve of the jobs, in case the Federation itself were one of the targets, or the Federation's allies. "If you were to merge with us, the Shadow's Breath and Blade would function as a branch of the Stormhand Federation. You would, for the most part, govern yourselves. The only difference would be you would have a glorious Queen to oversee you. "But, I assure you that merging with us would be in your interests. You don't seem to be very active lately, you're not quite the force to be reckoned with that you would like to be. If you became part of us, this would change dramatically." |
| Zombomaniac12-14-05, 11:27 PM | Emerging from the lighted section of the Halls, and what was his usual spot before he left, Cazic steps forward to address the Guild. "Brothers and Sisters of Death this is not a path I support. We are the breath upon a dieing man's neck and the blade sinking into his heart. We live for money and money alone. Merging with the Federation would cost us what we live for. To have to have someone who is not of our breed deside our missions is nonsence! We are ment to kill anyone for anyone no matter who they are and no matter what some power thirsting mind bender would have us do. I do not believe that this would be wise." OOC: Just for the record I have nothing agianst the SF or any other Guild, but I thought it would be good for Cazic to not like them, but still be Evil. It will create better RP. |
| Wilds12-14-05, 11:27 PM | "The decision shall lie with the guild. All who are here will vote. You have 2 days." |
| Zombomaniac12-14-05, 11:36 PM | Cazic stits into his chair taking out a large book to read while he waits. "I say Nay. They may hire us, but not rule us. Once again and always nay." |
| Dyne12-14-05, 11:42 PM | The man is not at all affected by Cazic's outburst. "To make my point, all one must do is look around. This place is covered in dust, decaying from inactivity. All of you know that you cannot function effectively at the current rate. If you don't get some work soon, you may die off. "This is what we want to prevent. The Stormhand Federation has great plans for you. Under our banner, you would become a great and fearful force. Rumors of your exploits would fill the streets. And the gold, which is one of your ultimate goals, would pour in, in seemingly unlimited amounts. You would certainly have plenty with which to purchase all sorts of new toys, as well as have plenty of opportunity to use them. "But the choice is yours to make. If glory and wealth are not your aims, than disregard my message." The man turns and exits the Shadow's Breath and Blade, leaving them to deliberate on his words. |
| Dyne12-14-05, 11:48 PM | Cazic stits into his chair taking out a large book to read while he waits. "I say Nay. They may hire us, but not rule us. Once again and always nay." Since Cazic isn't even a member, does his vote hold any weight? :P (Check the members list) EDIT: Also, wasn't he originally a member of the Stormhand Federation? |
| Ashariana12-15-05, 12:01 AM | Kik-Petwik (who I never actually finished... and don't plan to finish making...) would vote a yes :P But since he doesn't exist (was powergamed so I didn't want to finish making him...) I suppose it doesn't matter. |
| Zombomaniac12-15-05, 12:08 AM | Since Cazic isn't even a member, does his vote hold any weight? :P (Check the members list) EDIT: Also, wasn't he originally a member of the Stormhand Federation? What? Cazic was one of the founding members. When was he taken off the list? Pause a PC for a little while and everyone assumes he is dead. Cazic never stopped being a member I just thought it would be better for me to focus on other PCs for awhile. |
| Dyne12-15-05, 12:23 AM | Kik-Petwik (who I never actually finished... and don't plan to finish making...) would vote a yes :P But since he doesn't exist (was powergamed so I didn't want to finish making him...) I suppose it doesn't matter. Strider would be happy to vote yes, as well. If I were cheap, I could bring him back, vote, and then put him back on the bench. But, this vote that Wilds has called for should be for the active characters, only. The rest of us should stay out, it's not our decision. WHAT!? Cazic was one of the founding members. When was he taken off the list? He has been around since the first thread. Why was I booted out? I'm guessing he was "taken off" when this new thread was created, since he was never active since then. |
| Zombomaniac12-15-05, 12:28 AM | I'm guessing he was "taken off" when this new thread was created, since he was never active since then. Ya probably. I never saw a "post if you active" so thats probably what happened. |
| Demonfey12-15-05, 12:29 AM | I say no. It would limit our job choice too much. Others can fight for honor and glory and die for honor and glory. We fight for money, and we don't have to care about honor or glory if we don't want to. |
| gabrion12-15-05, 01:00 AM | Since the vote has been initiated, Shador will voice his (official) opinion once more. "I will say again, I disklike the idea of the SBB being under the control of some other group. It goes against our very principles. And to you," he looks at the man making the proposal, "I'm not sure what you think you know, but you might as well forget it. The SBB works in secret, so the fact that you and your friends think we are not playing an active role across the land should not be suprising, though neither should you think it indicative of our true workings." OOC: Really, I'm not sure how a character could make a request like this IG, based on a claim that the assassin's guild is "dying." If played right, no one would know what we're up to in the first place, so I would prefer that the request not be based on such a metagame point. |
| Dyne12-15-05, 01:05 AM | OOC: Really, I'm not sure how a character could make a request like this IG, based on a claim that the assassin's guild is "dying." If played right, no one would know what we're up to in the first place, so I would prefer that the request not be based on such a metagame point. It's not metagame. No one has died yet, obviously, at least they haven't been assassinated or anything like that. So, he assumed the SBB has been in a rut. |
| gabrion12-15-05, 01:06 AM | It's not metagame. No one has died yet, obviously, at least they haven't been assassinated or anything like that. So, he assumed the SBB has been in a rut. I'm not sure why he would assume that he has knowledge of everyone who dies though. |
| Zombomaniac12-15-05, 01:15 AM | I'm not sure why he would assume that he has knowledge of everyone who dies though. He would likely have knowledge of all the Mainstream people (We PCs). |
| Dyne12-15-05, 01:15 AM | I'm not sure why he would assume that he has knowledge of everyone who dies though. He's very well connected. He's a bard, for goodness sake. But if you wanna push it, yes, I admit, it was a bit metagamed. And for that, I apologize. But, OoG, the reason I came here in the first place is because of the SBB's inactivity. Since I still talk with some of the guildmembers, I know what's been going on lately. I figured merging the SBB with the SF's Intelligence section would help us both out a great deal. The SF would greatly benefit from its own group of personal assassins, and I expected the SBB would greatly benefit from being able to carry out those assassinations. But if you guys don't wanna merge, then don't merge. |
| Wilds12-15-05, 01:58 AM | sorry Cazic, fixing on main post 3 NO 0 Yes |
| Zombomaniac12-15-05, 08:30 AM | sorry Cazic, fixing on main post So k' 3 NO 0 Yes Yay we're winning! :D |
| Darkuwa12-15-05, 03:37 PM | "less people too kill takes away more than having an alliance could give us. If we have no clients we should start giving ourselves missions of profit rather than allying ourselves with others." |
| gabrion12-15-05, 03:57 PM | Since I am concerned about the fact that no one has been using the SBB to have people killed, what if we ran a promotional deal. I think part of the problem is that people from other guilds don't think we would be any better at killing that they would, so if we want to build some street cred, we are gonna have to show that we are capable, which can only happen if we actually get contracts and make good on them. I propose that we give each guild a coupon for one free assassination, that way they will utilize us and we can prove how effective we are. |
| Wilds12-15-05, 09:08 PM | That might work, we will figure it out. First order of business literally is too find where the freelancer is staying and convince him to give up his trade |
| Zombomaniac12-15-05, 09:18 PM | That might work, we will figure it out. First order of business literally is too find where the freelancer is staying and convince him to give up his trade As far as this goes I think it would likely be more second order of business. Weither that guy is alive or not doesn't matter if we dont have jobs. I think we need to pick a PC out there that a lot of people dont like kill him/her so as to show our power and then be on our merry way to the freelancer. As well once we porve our power the freelancer may decide he wants to join. Proving our power and taking out someone big should be first on our to-do lis.t |
| jagggar12-15-05, 11:01 PM | Sure I'm not a member, but I gots an idea for you. Sneak in places and steal close personal objects off peoples' persons. Then ransom the items back. It's a way to get money and an advertisement of your guys' skills. |
| gabrion12-15-05, 11:35 PM | That might work, we will figure it out. First order of business literally is too find where the freelancer is staying and convince him to give up his trade As far as this goes I think it would likely be more second order of business. As well once we porve our power the freelancer may decide he wants to join. Proving our power and taking out someone big should be first on our to-do lis.t Ya, but the two ideas aren't mutually exclusive. We could gain power by killing this dude, which would accomplish two goals at once. The point is that we have to show Tyrannor at large that we are killers, which will only happen by killing people. Any people. Powerful people are the best targets, but really, anyone is good. |
| turalisj12-16-05, 12:08 AM | I think we need to pick a PC out there that a lot of people dont like kill him/her so as to show our power and then be on our merry way to the freelancer. The one person that everyone, good AND evil hates: Sil and his character. Ok, so almost everyone. |
| Ashariana12-16-05, 12:13 AM | If you guys really want to be known... then you should actually do the jobs you get. You had a job a while ago, but you didn't do it. That doesn't ya know... go over too well. |
| Zombomaniac12-16-05, 12:23 AM | The one person that everyone, good AND evil hates: Sil and his character. Ok, so almost everyone. Just for the record i never said this. But ya Sil would be a grat target. His PC is hidden where no one knows where and have earned the enimity of many a PC. Killing that PC off would show a great deal of power. Finding Him. Killing Him. Showing off the corpse. :D Many PCs would thank us as Sil's Main PC ticked even Arcanus off. |
| jagggar12-16-05, 12:28 AM | Actually, I believe that falling through may be my fault. I wanted to get a few other things in order before asking questions that would be a sure sign that there'd been a hit placed. At least I think that's the job you're talkin' about. . . On the other hand, I can't be blamed for only having one way to skin a cat. |
| Demonfey12-16-05, 12:12 PM | Damn, I wanted that to be kept secret...ah, well, too late now. Jagggar, how about this for the plan: the ninjas go out to the Halls of Refuge, attack en masse with silence from my mask activated, I poison Silimna with the scorpion poison, use the thinaun dagger, and we then get the hells out? |
| Ashariana12-16-05, 12:48 PM | Ya know... you didn't have to give them a name. |
| Master_of_Flames12-16-05, 11:32 PM | Damn, I wanted that to be kept secret...ah, well, too late now. Jagggar, how about this for the plan: the ninjas go out to the Halls of Refuge, attack en masse with silence from my mask activated, I poison Silimna with the scorpion poison, use the thinaun dagger, and we then get the hells out? and we take the body and hang it from a post in the middle of Tyranor proper, as a sin against those who would defy us. |
| Demonfey12-17-05, 12:15 AM | @Ashariana: Already given away here: Many PCs would thank us as Sil's Main PC ticked even Arcanus off. |
| Wilds12-18-05, 08:14 PM | Lol funs out :P Ok promotion time. Options 1) suggest by Gabrion??? Hand out coupons for one free assassination. 2) kill pseudo-random people to get street cred out. posted by Zombo 3) spread the word about us, which is covered in the first two, but less violently....ish Any more ideas I think its been two days? Finals kind of messed with my mid. No assimilation into the Federation then? |
| Zombomaniac12-18-05, 08:18 PM | Lol funs out :P Ok promotion time. Options 1) suggest by Gabrion??? Hand out coupons for one free assassination. 2) kill pseudo-random people to get street cred out. Not to sure who gave the idea 3) spread the word about us, which is covered in the first two, but less violently....ish Any more ideas I think its been two days? Finals kind of messed with my mid. No assimilation into the Federation then? No SF I posted #2 and i vote for #2 |
| Wilds12-18-05, 08:21 PM | I'm gana vote for #2 too, killing people for no apparent reason has always been a goal of mine...............wait.....uhhh...hehe? |
| Dyne12-18-05, 08:36 PM | Take my words as you will, but I would think killing random PC's might actually damage the SBB's reputation and/or get people angry at it. I.e. if you killed a Temple of the Damned member at a whim, they might not be as likely to want to deal with the SBB, and might even declare war. Of course, do whatever you guys think is best. :) |
| Zombomaniac12-18-05, 08:45 PM | It woulsn't truely be random. We would pick a good person for it. I say Sil. IC and OOC not everyone likes his methods. Killing him would earn some big credit and people like the Temple would thank us. |
| gabrion12-18-05, 08:53 PM | As much as I would also like to go killing random people, I think Dyne is very right in pointing out that it will most likely just **** people off. Not only that, but we are professionals practicing a trade, right? Since when were assassins in the business of random muder for no apparent reason? Also, I'm not sure how #2 accomplishes anything that #1 wouldn't. It seems like the first option proves equally well that we are capable of killing people, but it has the added benefit of forming positive business relationships. I vote for #1. |
| jagggar12-18-05, 10:05 PM | While not part of the guild, another way would be stealing close personal items from characters and ransoming them back at a high price or a job request. "Hey, we can get to you, of course we can get to them too." Also, if you're assassins after the money first and the killing second, then once you do that, you could probably offer protection from your services for a price as well. |
| turalisj12-18-05, 11:03 PM | Why do you think Denrik dumped that pile of bodies outside of the hall? If we get the npc's around tyranor to hate and despise the members of the GoPG, they will have nowhere left. One way or another, the GoPG crew will have to come out and face every evil character/character with evil tendancies. Then, evryone will get to have fun. And I doubt Orcy/Arcanis is going to let sil anywhere near the keep. |
| Zombomaniac12-18-05, 11:05 PM | Also, if you're assassins after the money first and the killing second, then once you do that, you could probably offer protection from your services for a price as well. Thats a good idea really. Put out a monthly fre. Health Insurance. But for that to work we still need to prove our power. Who will pay protection from something they dont fear? |
| turalisj12-18-05, 11:19 PM | see post above... And if you need it even clearer, then go murder random npc's, hang thier bodies in the middle of cities, and tell people that they have to pay us, or this will kep happening. Every once in a while inflate the price to keep things from getting boring. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder12-18-05, 11:23 PM | see post above... And if you need it even clearer, then go murder random npc's, hang thier bodies in the middle of cities, and tell people that they have to pay us, or this will kep happening. Every once in a while inflate the price to keep things from getting boring. That'll just result in your guild being destroyed. You can't just expect people to pay you for murdering randomly. That shows a lack of control and brings question to your ability to keep things secret. It also makes no sense for an assassin's guild to run around randomly and slaughter for free. |
| turalisj12-18-05, 11:29 PM | Point. I'll take my idea to the GoUE. |
| Darkuwa12-21-05, 07:27 PM | #2 |
| Wilds12-23-05, 10:36 AM | "A chance has come" A figure strides into the Betting Booth carring a Lordly air to him and a determined look. He is dressed in the dressings of a Cleric though he has a sorceress look to him. "50,000 Gold to the man who brings me Sargantanas's head. 15,000 Gold per head to the man who brings me the heads of the Undead Lords Vampire cohorts." Garland wakes suddenly to the start of the mans entrace and makes a whisling sounds as the bounty is placed. "And who may I ask is offering this, most grand, bounty?" "Jacob Mist, Lord of Aer'bensvek, the Fortress of Light." Garland: "Any thing else?" Jacob: "Yes, the man who brings me all the heads will get an additional 20,000 Gold." OOC: Remember who ever fullfils the first few bounties gets a extra 5,000 gp added to their bounty claim. By offer of the Booth. Thats 5,000 per bounty. If you brought in all the bounties you would get a total 115,000 (50,000 for Sarg, 15,000 for each of his three Vamps, 5,000 for each of the four bounties) What does every one think of it? Possilbe job? |
| turalisj12-23-05, 11:08 AM | Turalisj ponders the money. With that sort of funds, he could purchase a small castle..... He dissapeared, leaving some ectoplasm behind. (used greater psionic teleport, 210 power points remaining) Sounds good. Anything about asking for help from other guilds? |
| Wilds12-23-05, 12:13 PM | We could pay them to help...but it might not be worth it if other guilds help. Less notority |
| turalisj12-23-05, 12:22 PM | Unless the guild has a reason to go after Sargantas in the first place...... :D |
| jagggar12-23-05, 12:32 PM | Well, you might not have to pay the right guild, but you'd still end up with less credit. "Hey how about we hire those guys from the Shadow's Breath and Blade?" "Yeah, I think they took out [Great Leader of the Past]." "No, they didn't. [Other Guild] took him out. The SBB was just back-up. . ." And on goes the conversation. Hey, sign me up as an OoG member (I won't augment the leadership score). |
| turalisj12-23-05, 12:59 PM | I thought Reese was your character for this guild.......... |
| jagggar12-23-05, 01:14 PM | Nope, Reese is a merchant. Before the Great Pause I was going to have a half-elf join here, but then didn't. |
| Wilds12-23-05, 11:15 PM | Well, you might not have to pay the right guild, but you'd still end up with less credit. "Hey how about we hire those guys from the Shadow's Breath and Blade?" "Yeah, I think they took out [Great Leader of the Past]." "No, they didn't. [Other Guild] took him out. The SBB was just back-up. . ." Thats what im afraid would happen. What is your characters name? |
| Zombomaniac12-23-05, 11:25 PM | Thats what im afraid would happen. What is your characters name? Jaggar said OOC member. No PC for this guild right now. |
| jagggar12-23-05, 11:41 PM | I've got some evil plans. . . Depending on how things go and how timetables roll out I might end up with one. But yeah, for now I don't have one. |
| Wilds12-23-05, 11:46 PM | Evil plans are always welcome :D |
| Demonfey12-24-05, 01:05 AM | I'm trying the plan I told you about, Wilds. |
| Wilds12-24-05, 09:50 AM | K, goodluck |
| Wilds12-31-05, 11:07 AM | Any one else interested in raining down pure havoc on other guilds? Cause im really close to just fireballing random guilds. 17 fireballs is going to be fun |
| Dyne12-31-05, 04:30 PM | Any one else interested in raining down pure havoc on other guilds? Cause im really close to just fireballing random guilds. 17 fireballs is going to be fun I'm game. Alexander has quite the personal army, and he's also quite the general (being a War Chanter). As soon as I got his army statted out, all hell will break loose. :evillaugh In the meantime, Fat Man Ludo will continue to run his little attractions at the Pavilion to offer a little harmless entertainment when things get slow. Only problem is, things are REALLY slow right now. :( |
| Wilds12-31-05, 08:00 PM | I know. And all these new assassins popping out of no where are aggervating me and Kelreth. So I was thinking a little exietment would make things interesting. And things are way to slow for my likely. Want to start some fun? |
| turalisj12-31-05, 08:06 PM | Who wants some percularly lifelike statues? bwahaha! I mean, hohoho |
| Wilds12-31-05, 08:09 PM | Lifeless stautes of what exactly? We need freaking stuff around here |
| turalisj12-31-05, 08:13 PM | Not exactly lifeless wilds. Statues of targets such as sil, etc. :D |
| Wilds12-31-05, 08:47 PM | OOO, yes we need to do that dont we? Hmmmm... Well flesh to stone is a good way to make lifeless statues. And funny house ornaments. |
| Zombomaniac01-01-06, 01:43 AM | Hall of Fame :D That would be cool actully. Have the main room decorated with "statues" of them and if we cant get their bodies then have paintings made of them in their moment of death. |
| Wilds01-01-06, 12:42 PM | Yep. Nice walk way into the guild dont you think? I say we add two statues to our collection: Sil Pytho |
| Demonfey01-01-06, 01:15 PM | I say we offer Pytho a chance to become an honorary member, even if he doesn't ask us to be a member. I mean, he's really, really good at assassinations. |
| Wilds01-01-06, 03:01 PM | No. He talked like we were pets or minions. Which we arent. Dont start me on his assassination crap. He came out of no where and killed a guy. And none of us knew about him? Come on |
| Pytho_Orthan01-01-06, 08:36 PM | No. He talked like we were pets or minions. Which we arent. Dont start me on his assassination crap. He came out of no where and killed a guy. And none of us knew about him? Come on I don't recall speaking to you in such a manner. What better assassin than one whom nobody has ever met? Assassins who leap out of bushes and say "hello, I am an assassin, I'm going to kill you to gain power and prestiege" are not assassins, they are thugs. An assassin need never be known, nor does he need to be seen. He need only exist, and that in itself will do the job. |
| Dyne01-01-06, 08:40 PM | Actually, the assassins that introduce themselves are the most dangerous kind. |
| Zombomaniac01-01-06, 08:59 PM | Actually, the assassins that introduce themselves are the most dangerous kind. Either that or over confident. :D But ya a assasin need not be known IC. In fact IC I dont think they should be. OOC I feel we should know his stats, but the GMs say other wise so i dont care. |
| Wilds01-02-06, 01:48 PM | The mear fact that some one walks out of fricking no where. And starts bragging is not a way to start a negotiation. And then talking how we could do stuff for you. You dont exist as far as I am concerned. You only have one choose that to die. |

Enjoy Turlina’s Lock Picks of the Master Thief The Legend: Tales from decades ago still occasionally surface about a small town and a strange elven wanderer. Found on the outskirts of town, she appeared dazed, with her clothes in tatters. Her blonde hair whipped in the wind, as she stared straight ahead through the men attempting to talk to her. Taking her to the local inn, she partook in nothing more then hot tea and a bowl of stew. After a hot bath, the elf was given a room for the night. The next day she was gone. The cash box behind the bar was also found to be empty of coin, although a small note was left inside. I’ll return. T. L. Petty theft was not unheard of in this region. However, after granting some kind-heartedness to this stranger, it was a bit of a shock. The owner of the inn shook his head in disgust, and completely wrote off the loss as a learning experience. He notified the militia to keep an eye out for the stranger. She was not seen leaving during the night. Six months later, when everyone thought this minor incident was behind them, the elf returned. This time, she was not dressed in the rags from before, but rather finely crafted leathers and silk dyed the deepest black. Her blond hair, now clean, whipped in the wind behind her. The militia approached her, a bit perplexed by her reappearance. She started past them with her deep green eyes, ignoring all of their questions, and simply asked them to stand aside. Before they could respond, screams started to come from second story windows. A war band of orcs was raiding the town! As the militia ran to help fight off the attack, the elf casually walked down the street, toward the inn she stayed at six months ago. Orcs ran down the streets, throwing torches at thatched rooftops, catching them ablaze. Smoke drifted heavily through the air, and through all of this, the elf walked. Upon reaching the inn, she found the door locked. Whipping out a beautiful set of engraved lock picks, she opened the door in a manner of seconds. The innkeeper was terrified. This elf, who had robbed him six months ago, had now returned, and with marauding orcs to boot! She looked quietly at him, reached to her belt. The innkeeper flinched, as a small pouch was untied and then placed on the counter. Perplexed, he opened it. Inside, he found coins… what appeared to be the exact coins, based on their local stamping, that were taken from his cash box. He looked up with a tear to elven woman, and somehow managed to smile. It was then that torches landed on the roof of the inn. It was then that an orc kicked open the front door that was left unlocked, knocking the innkeeper to the ground. A clatter was heard as a key skidded across the floor and fell between the floorboards. It was then the screaming started. The innkeeper had locked his children in an upstairs room to keep them safe, and now it would be the death of them. With a whip of her hand, the lock picks flew out into the air, and floated up the stairs. The elf ducked behind a table, only to reappear behind an orc, severing it’s spinal column with a single strike to the back. The elf disappeared out the door, where thunderous claps of lightning filled the air, along with muffled yelps of orcs falling to their death. The lock picks had done their job. The children ran down the stairs into their father’s arms. Flames started to lick the ceiling of the main room. He grabbed his two children and ran outside to behold a stench of ozone, and a site of orcs blasted by lightning. The orc raid was stopped, but at what cost? The inn was destroyed. The innkeeper could do nothing but hold his two children and weep. There was no way he could recover from this. It was then he noticed a set of lock picks floating toward him in the air. They dropped at his feet. The innkeeper held onto those lock picks for a year before deciding to sell them. Living with his sister’s family was starting to be a bit much. After word got out about the item in his possession, an officer from the nearby city’s rogues guild approached him with a very lucrative offer. Today, the innkeeper has rebuilt his inn. His children are now parents themselves. He often wonders what happened to the lock picks he sold. Rumors tell of previously impenetrable vaults falling prey to thieves in record numbers. Tales tell of rogues battling in the streets, guild versus guild, but to what ends? All he knows is that no one seems to remember what he did to rebuild his family. He hopes it stays that way. | Lady Rolindin01-15-06, 06:37 PM | by primal. The Sash of Many Uses This item appears as a well-made, although common, crimson sash with golden linings along the edges designed to be worn around the waist by both men and women. On one end it has the image of a dragon on flight and on the other a coiled snake rearing to attack. Both designs are made with the same golden thread used for the lining. It will expand and retract in order to fit any humanoid wearer regardless of size or girth. Finally, the sash always seems pleasantly warm to the touch regardless of surrounding conditions. The sash has the following abilities: 1. The sash has an ability that allows the wearer to hide it at will by making it blend with his clothing so at to make it inconspicuous (wearer rolls Hide with +10 situation modifiers). The ability is activated by the silent will of the wearer will but can be used only 3/day lasting 1 hour each time. 2. With the utterance of a command word the sash transforms into silk rope under the effects of an Animate Rope spell (CL10) with 100ft and will offer a +4 competence bonus on Climb or Use Rope checks for anyone using it. The sash can stay in this form for a total of 10 consecutive rounds. Once this time has elapsed the sash reverts back to its true form and will not revert into rope form again for the next 10 rounds. When reverting back to sash form it always becomes untied. 3. If the wearer lashes with the sash while uttering another command word the sash transforms into a flaming scimitar +1. If the wielder is killed or looses conscience while the sash is into scimitar form then it reverts back to sash form. While in a form other than a sash, it weights as a normal item of its kind. The sash resists attempts to discover its magical nature using a permanent misdirection effect (Will save DC 18) when scanned for magic either with detect spells or analyze dwemer spells. Finally it offers its wearer the protection of an Endure Elements (in regard to cold only) while worn. On the other hand, the sash seems to be affected with a curse. The curse seems to be randomly activated since there is a standard 10% chance every time any of the above mentioned abilities (except the permanent ones) are used that the wearer will be affected with a Hideous Laughter effect for 5 rounds (Will save with DC 18 negates). If the effect takes hold then the sash looses all its powers while the effect lasts reverting to its true form. Normally Moderate Evocation (but see above); CL 10; Craft Wondrous Item, Craft Magic Arms And Armor, Animate Rope, Misdirection, Endure Elements, Fireball; Price: 17,700gp; Weight: Negligible History: Although the original creator of the sash is unknown, the first famous person to wear it was the rogue known as the "Merchant" (a nickname attributed to his favourite guise). The "Merchant" was active about a century ago and while wearing it he managed to infiltrate into many estates and escape from numerous attempts to arrest him including a couple of assassination attempts by rivals. Unfortunately, it seems that his luck abandoned him or he miscalculated and he fell from 80 feet high while trying to escape from his latest victim’s house. His body was found at the base of the 120 foot drop still clutching his sash in his hand. The sash was taken as a souvenir by a guard on the scene. The guard did not have much luck with it either though. He was soon arrested after he kept weaving the sash and laughing uncontrollably while the king was attacked right in front of his eyes. The guard was accused of being drunk on duty (the judge could decide whether he was drunk or stupid but drunk sounded more serious) and was executed. For the next few years the sash's fate is unknown but it resurfaced in the hands of various owners all of whom either disappeared or met an unlucky end sooner or later. It is unknown whether there is only one sash or more, or whether the recorded appearances concern the same sash or different ones. Because of its permanent misdirection effect it is difficult for someone who does not know what he is looking at to realize that it is magical or how to use it. As a result there could be more of the items lying around in various wardrobes or discarded among other loot without the owners realizing its worth. Campaign Usage Notes: Despite the apparently low or mid level powers of the sash, it may be lethal to low level characters since its Will save DC of 18 for the curse will be hard to resist. The Hideous Laughter effect can bring a low level character into a tight spot, either when using the sash in the rope form (hoping to pass unnoticed) or when trying to defend him self with the scimitar form. In addition its rather small duration as a rope (10 rounds) severely limits its use as a climbing tool. Ideally the sash can find its way into PC hands inconspicuously as part of a larger hoard without the characters realizing what they have. The only clue of its magical nature should be that it is warm to the touch. Trial and error in order to determine its properties and limitations is the best way to go about it and it offers some good roleplaying opportunities. Calculations: Competence Bonus on Climb: Bonus Squared x 100gp = 4 x 4 x 100 = 1600gp Competence Bonus on Use Rope: Bonus Squared x 100gp = 4 x 4 x 100 = 1600gp Animate Rope Effect: Spell Level x CL X 50gp = 1 x 10 x 50pg = 500gp Misdirection Effect: Spell Level x 2000gp = 2 x 2000gp = 4000gp Endure Elements (Cold Only): Spell Level x 2000gp = 1 x 2000gp = 2000gp Flaming Sword, +1: 8000gp Instead of calculating the cost of additional abilities beyond the first at +50% I left as is, thinking that the curse offsets any additional benefits. My Entry by CuCulain42 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At the wall of the tower Gill pulled out his coil of rope. “The trick to being a successful burglar is not to be detected,” he thought to himself. Carefully he undid the ribbon at the end of the rope and slipped on the ring it had bound. Muttering the command word the rope disappeared to all but his view. The second command sent the rope rising to the window three stories up. Gill ascended the rope quickly rolling through the window into the tower. A few minutes later a guard patrol walked by not even realizing that an intruder was rifling through their masters possessions a few yards above their heads. Invisible Rope An arcane trickster who specialized in burglary and infiltration created the invisible rope. It was an inspiration; since the one time he had been caught the rope he used to gain entry to his target had been spotted. He spent several months in a prison cell devising a way to never be caught like that again. He finally escaped from his cell and set to work creating what he considers his masterpiece. The invisible rope when encountered appears to be a 50-foot length of high quality silk rope with a plain silver ring attached to one end with a ribbon (that is braided into the rope.) On command the rope will become invisible to all but the wearer of the ring and those with the ability to see invisible. With a second command the rope ill rise and hold in place at any height the user desires up to its full length. Function one must be active to use function two. The ring allows the user to see the rope but no other invisible object. Faint Illusion and Transmutation; CL 3; Craft Wondrous Item, Invisibility, Levitate, See invisible; Price 30,000 gp; Weight: 5 lb. __________________ FNORD |

| Wilds01-16-06, 01:03 AM | Cause we're the ones that are crazy. :D hehe :D |
| Wilds01-20-06, 01:07 PM | Location: Somewhere near the SBB exact location unknown unless the person has a GPS device which dont exist.... "We are here m'lady" |
| Wilds01-20-06, 01:10 PM | On the out skirts of the swamp Fang stops and waits for his pack to arrive. When they do he turns to them. "Set up a perimeter and make sure no one gets in. We are going to wiat for the snakeman to arrive then we find the one called Darby" |
| jagggar01-20-06, 01:26 PM | Few questions: SBB within open view or not? Darby's likely asked the man's name by now. What is it (assuming he tells her)? Has the journey been a talkitive one, or mostly travelled in silence? |
| Wilds01-20-06, 01:51 PM | All Darby sees is swamp, there was a small village that you passed by but not much else. His name is Dargel. You can ask some questions if you want too. There was small talk. |
| jagggar01-20-06, 02:26 PM | Normal small talk works. She does ask one question that sounds kind of off from normal small talk. She asks Dargel if he is happy. "And, uh, here is?" |
| Wilds01-20-06, 02:32 PM | "Happy? yes, i am. I found my place in this world. I found Kelreths years ago, he showed me a path that few knew of and even fewer practiced. I am on my way to master that path." "Here is where we are Darby. You might get to see the guild house some time in the future, but as of right now. Its location and layout must remain a secret." Kelreth says as he walks out front behind a tree |
| jagggar01-20-06, 02:55 PM | Darby nods. "Secrecy in times like these, especially for those of your profession, is understandable." |
| Wilds01-20-06, 03:03 PM | Kelreth laughs. "Yes my profession, not a rather clean one now is it?" Turning to Dragel, "hand me your sword" Once he gets the sword he casts a spell into it. Handing it back he says, "Scout the perimeter of the swamp, if we have any uninvited visitors see what they are up too and return back here." Dragel nods and runs off into the swamp moving with speed not normally seen from humans. Kelreth watches him go, 'that one holds great premuse. unfortunatly I am of almost no more use to him, he stays as a way to repay me for the aid I gave him." He pauses for a few seconds. "I asked you to come because I am interested in this group you belong too. Children of the Dragon I beleive? Their practices apeal to me for some reason." |
| Demonfey01-20-06, 03:23 PM | Outside of the swamp, the zepellin lands. Three kobolds take to the sky flying on eagles (medium sized), searching for the pack. The hatch then opens, and Nhyris (with one of the morphing, sizing clubs), HiroHito, an air mephit, a drakestone golem, and Ballista step off. With one telepathic message from a kobold, the small force heads towards Fang's location, as the zepellin lifts off. Once he gets there, he addresses Fang. Sniff out any unfamiliar scents. The kobolds will try and spot her from the air if possible. Have your people break into groups of at least ten, and those groups stick together. |
| jagggar01-20-06, 03:26 PM | Mind if I insert something into the pause? "It's not as easy of a job as some might think." Something in her voice seems to imply she does not speak about the taking of lives, but the sneaking and the hiding and training required to get to that point. |
| Wilds01-20-06, 04:44 PM | Kelreth chuckles solomnly. "No its not.... I spent my youth in a warmage academy, I was thrown out for alledged theft. I didnt do that one, but afterwards I no longer cared. People who job it was to hold up the law had thrown me out wrongfully and barred me from contining my studies there. Fortunatly I knew enough already, then the real training began. That is when I became the thing that stands before you." |
| Wilds01-20-06, 04:49 PM | Fang nods and walks back to his pack. After organizing them and giving their instructions he returns to the snakeman. "They are off, I will go now too." He turns and running into the forest, shifting into his dire wolf form. |
| jagggar01-20-06, 04:56 PM | "You're not a thing. You're a person." |
| Wilds01-20-06, 07:07 PM | "Am I? Do you know how many people I've killed? The number I've taken captive and never seen again? Now I strive to survive. I am more animal than most, but more human than some." |
| jagggar01-20-06, 08:38 PM | "So Kelreth the Killer is less of a man then Kelreth the Cobbler would have been? I don't believe you." |
| Zombomaniac01-20-06, 09:46 PM | Back with the GoUE members Hirohito blankets himself in invisability. After safely hiden he readys himself for battle and begins to watch the land. At will Invisability, readied a spell, and began circling in a 10 ft radious around Snakeman also about 15 ft in the air and making constant Spot and Listen Checks. |
| jagggar01-20-06, 10:06 PM | Just checking here since we've already run into this problem before. I'm not entirely sure about reading stuff out of combat. But Zombo, you have your readied spell and the trigger action for it PMed to a GM? |

| jagggar01-20-06, 10:24 PM | Doesn't have to be me, since it looks like I might get caught up in this just maybe. But I just want someone to have it. Edit: Just got it in my inbox. I'm a bit of a over achiever when you put me into something like this. :D |
| Demonfey01-21-06, 11:05 AM | Sniffing the air, he looks for the scent of Fang and his pack, in addition to anyone else, and then says, to those that are still around: Alright, guys...Move out! And begins slithering Trying to sniff out the trail. |
| Wilds01-21-06, 11:34 AM | "Kelreth the Killer is all there is now. Who would have hired a warmage that was kicked out of his school? But that is why I asked you here. Is there a chance for redemption? Or am I a condemed soul?" |
| jagggar01-21-06, 01:40 PM | "You are only condemned if you choose to be." Darby unties the wooden symbol, three dragon heads nestled, at her side. "I can show you the path of redemption and help you on it, but it is a path you must choose to walk yourself." She takes Kelreth's hand, placing the symbol in it she curls his fingers over it. "I know you can change if you want to, Kelreth." |
| Wilds01-21-06, 02:40 PM | "Into what? Blood taints my hands" |
| jagggar01-21-06, 04:38 PM | "What has been done has been done. The past can't be changed. But we Children don't care about the past. We care about you Kelreth. What you can become depends on what you want to become. What do you want to become?" |
| Zombomaniac01-21-06, 05:51 PM | " What do you want to become?" A rampaging monster, devoid of emotions and morals, bent on devoring everyone in the world? ;) |
| Wilds01-21-06, 08:27 PM | "What do I want to become? I don't know. Never thought about that before. I guess to help others? To redeem my self for what I have done." |
| jagggar01-21-06, 09:00 PM | "That's as good a first step as any," she smiles softly. "Mother, watch over Kelreth and guide his heart." She lets go of his hand and steps back half a pace. |
| Wilds01-21-06, 09:26 PM | "Thank you for the blessing. We can discuss in more comfortable conditions. Now lets go to the guild and get some food." Dragel comes back from a run. "No one yet sir, but I did see something flying." "A dragon?" "No" "Ok good, run another patrol and come back to the guild" |
| jagggar01-21-06, 09:57 PM | "Are the patrols for the natural hazards of the swamp, or for those who would hunt you down?" Darby asks after Dragel leaves. Assuming that they're headed towards the guildhouse now. |
| Demonfey01-22-06, 01:40 AM | A rampaging monster, devoid of emotions and morals, bent on devoring everyone in the world? ;) That's me in version 3... |
| Wilds01-22-06, 03:48 AM | "We find the denizens of the swamp to be useful, they are only a threat to the local population, but we have that taken care of too. More for watching our tails, even though it maybe hard to find the guild house, the swamp offers more than enough hiding places for people to watch us from." |
| jagggar01-22-06, 11:05 PM | "Plenty of hiding for the hunted or the hunter it seems." She looks around the current scenery which looks not much different from the scenery from several minutes ago to her. | Demonfey01-22-06, 11:07 PM | Probably help for purposes of having the GoUE search, measures against them, countermeasures, etc. |
| turalisj01-22-06, 11:42 PM | Can anyone update me on whats been happening? I read the last 30 posts, and it seems like theres a battle going on. |
| Demonfey01-22-06, 11:46 PM | Not quite. There's a 40,000 gold bounty on Darby's head for a single person taking her in, 100,000 for a group, she must be alive, and there's a required helm of opposite alignment in there, too. That's too large a sum to pass up, so I brought Fang and his pack as well as my people in an attempt to get them to hand Darby over without much of a fight. Failing that, we have defined forces, the SBB doesn't. |
| jagggar01-22-06, 11:55 PM | That's pretty much it. Except I kinda hope Darby has some sort of fighting chance. I have a crude but existant map in the works. Few more lines, some letters and numbers, and I have to upload it. |
| turalisj01-23-06, 12:15 AM | Wait, darby has a ounty on her/him? And no one told me? |
| jagggar01-23-06, 12:16 AM | Malg Swamp (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/jagggar/MalgSwamp.jpg) Though it might be Maly Swamp. Wilds, PM the Guildhouse's position and Kelreth and Darby's current location. It can be odd like "upper-right X9" but with actual letters and numbers on the map. Should the GoUE forces be openly stated, or should they get to be secret as well (open just makes orginization easier)? Edit: Yeah, it's right there in the Betting Booth for all to see. And just a note for everyone who's hunting me: I don't want to know if anyone's BSing Darby. Hard enough to keep her unsuspicious when I am. Don't need to cloud my judgement more by making bluff checks. |
| Demonfey01-23-06, 12:16 AM | I'm hoping that we can convince you and Kelreth to just do this without a fight. At the most, Fang may give you a bite to try and make you a werewolf if Wilds really wants to, although there will be a smack with a newspaper for that. |
| jagggar01-23-06, 12:24 AM | Any particular reason you'd be using Grimclaw's Gazette as a weapon if he did? If she does get bitten and turned into a werewolf we can just turn her into an NPC and let a GM control her. <Pause for Laughter> If it matters, I'm a fan of Savage Progressions and advocate it instead of just slapping the template on. |
| Demonfey01-23-06, 12:26 AM | Because it's what you do to werewolfs that don't behave. Also, I'm all out of spritz bottles. He chewed them up last week. ;) |
| turalisj01-23-06, 06:42 AM | Hey jagger, take a look under your name. It says Gane Master. Is it supposed to be like that? |
| Zombomaniac01-23-06, 08:27 AM | Hey jagger, take a look under your name. It says Gane Master. Is it supposed to be like that? Ya i asked her about that awhile back. She desided to leave it as is for the joke value. |
| Wilds01-23-06, 01:27 PM | i like spritz bottles they crunch funny :P Even if Fang does bite Darby, its only a DC 15 Fort check to not aquire the disease. Jaggger only has to roll a 3+ to make the save. Thats like we have to restrain Darby for hours while nibbing her to even hope that the character aquires the disease. Savage species has a level thing for lycans? Need to find that |
| jagggar01-23-06, 01:40 PM | Yeah, KB was the first Gane Master. It was never corrected and he decided he liked it. Since I've got the title now, I like the idea of carrying it on. SS doesn't, but on the site there's a retired article called Savage Progresions. It breaks down some of the templates into levels. |
| Demonfey01-23-06, 02:40 PM | Checked something I thought had it, but it didn't. I did, however, find the "make your own kind of lycanthropy" table. Expect something bizarre as soon as I...think of something bizarre. Accidenti*! My creativity's been dying on me ever since I got drawer's block. Anyway, there's a book I left at home that probably could help. It's a Ravenloft book on lycans, vampires, and golems, and has rules and variants for each. *Italian for "damn it"* |
| Wilds01-23-06, 02:55 PM | merd... creativity blocks are the worst, kill the joy of not having to pay attention during lectures |
| Demonfey01-23-06, 03:01 PM | I kind of need to pay attention during the lectures, though... |
| Wilds01-23-06, 04:24 PM | Lol so do i so do i..... last semester hurt a lot |
| jagggar01-23-06, 04:34 PM | Me thinks it's your turn, Wilds. And could you PM me location of the SBB based on the rough map? |
| Demonfey01-23-06, 04:47 PM | Still need the progression, Wilds? If so, here (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/sp/20040117a) it is. |
| Wilds01-23-06, 07:52 PM | "There is ample space for both the hunted and the hunter to continue their deul out here. Rather calming though just the never ending silence. Come we are getting closer to comfort." Off in another part of the swamp. Dragel looks around as he goes Spot:10 ranks + 9 = 19 http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=343855 Seeing nothing strange he moves on so how we gana deal with the coming conflict? where will the two groups meet? |
| Demonfey01-23-06, 07:56 PM | How about somewhere near the middle? |
| Wilds01-23-06, 07:58 PM | Fang swings his wolf head back and forth smelling the air. Scent track: (survival) 18 + 10 = 28 http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=343866 That could enough to pick up a trail? |
| turalisj01-23-06, 09:01 PM | Ok, should I just teleport in or something? I've gotten no answers to any of my questions (except the gane master one) |
| Zombomaniac01-23-06, 09:07 PM | Ok, should I just teleport in or something? I've gotten no answers to any of my questions (except the gane master one) Your Warforged is in the arena match so you can't use him, but if you any other PCs in the GoUE or SBaB then I suppose you can. If SBaB then just have it where you were already in the HQ if GoUE then just show up saying you where late or something. |
| Demonfey01-23-06, 09:11 PM | I just haven't been answering stuff because I wanted to let the GMs do it. |
| jagggar01-23-06, 09:12 PM | Trail. Okay, slightly confused. Where are the GoUE froces currently? |
| Demonfey01-23-06, 09:18 PM | Um...more or less lost in the swamp because we've broken up into approximately 14 groups of 10 to search for Darby. We're figuring out where the encounter should occur, and setting it up so that it happens. Since Wilds has a werewolf in the GoUE, he's trying to use his nose to track you, and so rolled a tracking check. |
| turalisj01-23-06, 09:26 PM | Okay, where are the SBaB forces? Is it at a safe house predertermined incase something like this (a member has a bounty out on him/herself and needs somewhere to hide out) happens? If so, would my shaper have any knowledge about it? A new scent appears amoung the putrid swamps to Fang. This one, however, smells of fine wines and clay. Near the Hq of the SBaB, Turalisj begins looking for Darby, in hopes of helping defend him/her (was darby's gender ever realy clarified?). He waded into the samps and used his psionic prowess to ease his passage through the mirk in saerch of Darby. Use psionic freedom of movement, then proceeded into the swamp from the location of the Hq. Thanks to PFoM I don't have to worry about the bogs. |
| jagggar01-23-06, 09:45 PM | Okay, but where all are these groups spread out? I think it would be hard to pick up a scent where no one has passed. Snakeman is in charge of where the units go, right? (If he is, then it helps resolve the problem of Wilds already knowing where we are.) Just so I'm clear what character have you brought to the table, turalisj? And what guild(s) is he a part of? And yes, Darby is a she. |
| Zombomaniac01-23-06, 09:52 PM | what character have you brought to the table, turalisj? Turalisj begins looking for Darby what guild(s) is he a part of? Near the Hq of the SBaB I think that answers it. |
| Demonfey01-23-06, 10:12 PM | I don't know where anything is in the swamp, so I have no clue where things are. For a basic pattern, Wilds' forces (who, being our scout force, seemed a logical choice for this) are branching out from the initial point, say the very fringe of the swamp/GoUE neighboring area, with three aerial scouts that are covering 1/3 the area in straight lines, each from above to see where the most movement seems to be. They take 30 ft spaces between their covering of the area, due to being probably able to spot things from that area. Land forces are stalking through the swamp, spreading out in lines at about...13 degree angles from each other, the lead going straight through the middle. When they hit the outside perimeter of the swamp, the two outermost circle the entire area, and the others join as they arrive. As they do that, they form lines of their whole length with 20 feet in between, to keep each other in sight, meaning that it becomes 200 feet, then 400 feet, 600, 800, etc, until the length of over 1400 feet has been reached. When the groups reach the halfway point (where they cross), they reconvene, wait for the leaders to join, as well as the kobold eagle riders. They break up again if nothing's been found, except covering a smaller area (broken down into the area that the 2760 feet broke down (calculated the numbers), until it would be best just to be in a straight line through the middle. |
| jagggar01-23-06, 10:36 PM | Okay. . . That's a little too detailed. Can you tell me what square the forces are starting in? And speeds for land forces and flying creatures. Anyway, I ask about which character and what guilds because I think I'd rather look stupid checking, than have to take a huge amount of time figuring out too much of where people are and then have to re-do it because I forgot to ask something. |
| Zombomaniac01-23-06, 10:38 PM | *snip* |
| Demonfey01-23-06, 10:47 PM | Okay. . . That's a little too detailed. Can you tell me what square the forces are starting in? Anyway, I ask about which character and what guilds because I think I'd rather look stupid checking, than have to take a huge amount of time figuring out too much of where people are and then have to re-do it because I forgot to ask something. Scary thing is I just gave that off the top of my head. Unfortunately, I don't know which square it started in because I have no clue of A) square size and B) layout of the swamp. Let's just say...M0, assuming 26 squares in a straight line, unknown depth. Shall I guess what the district's size is? *Note: M0 would be the thirteenth square down.* |
| jagggar01-23-06, 10:54 PM | *anime fall down* And what map are you using? As I said, I created a crude map (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/jagggar/MalgSwamp.jpg). If you've got a better one that you're using, please share. |
| Demonfey01-23-06, 10:57 PM | I hadn't noticed the post with the map :embarrass. I was just doing things inside my head. Starting from C1, then. May I ask square size? |
| jagggar01-23-06, 11:11 PM | Sorry, no scale at this moment. It's one of the things we need to work on. |
| Demonfey01-23-06, 11:13 PM | Shall we say 10 miles by 10 miles per square, then? Until we have one? |
| turalisj01-23-06, 11:31 PM | Night all. Don't capture darby without letting me slaughter some werewolves first. (I have the perfect form for my astral constructs) |
| Demonfey01-23-06, 11:35 PM | There's only one werewolf! |
| Wilds01-24-06, 12:15 AM | I sure hope your astral constructs dont mind their limbs being ripped off. And/or being ripped about with force |
| jagggar01-24-06, 12:16 AM | Well, doesn't he have a pack as well? Sure, why not go with 10x10 for the time being? |
| Wilds01-24-06, 12:21 AM | The pack is not werewovles, that would have screwed my followers over. They all are rangers though, so it kind of makes up for it. |
| Demonfey01-24-06, 01:55 AM | Oh, and we can't forget about the drakestone golem, imp, and warforged juggernaut, the two constructs which would be impervious to most things a rogue or assassin could dish out, either... |
| Wilds01-24-06, 02:42 AM | Good thing Kelreth is a blaster then :evillaugh |
| turalisj01-24-06, 06:54 AM | There's only one werewolf! Damn. I was realy hoping that we could add lycan steaks to the menu at the Blue Lizard Inn..... :D Oh, and demonfey, hence shaper. In otherwords, he can someone up a construct twice per turn (quicken power), and launch it against your army. Then there's psionic disinigrate, fuse flesh, ultrablast, etc. Drakestone golems or not, it wont matter. They'll be dead. |
| Zombomaniac01-24-06, 08:34 AM | The pack is not werewovles, that would have screwed my followers over. They all are rangers though, so it kind of makes up for it. Why dont you turn them? They are made approved so turning them now wound't be against the rules. In fact it would be the smart thing to do. |
| Demonfey01-24-06, 08:48 AM | Good thing Kelreth is a blaster then :evillaugh Drakestone golem. |
| Wilds01-24-06, 10:30 AM | If i turned them all their collective ECLs would go up by +4, killing the number of character classes. Unless I can turn them and still have their character levels. |
| jagggar01-24-06, 10:40 AM | Why dont you turn them? They are made approved so turning them now wound't be against the rules. In fact it would be the smart thing to do. That would depend on if he expected to all imediately get the template, or if he'd advance them when he was able to raise his leadership score. Because I'd take the stance that followers who jump in power will leave if they don't think their leader is still significatly powerful compared to themselves. Okay, so we have two main units in addtion to thousands of GoUE units I want to slaughter just because? Also, was I correct in hearing some, "Hey, let's meet in the middle." talk? Which in my opinion, if you want to go ahead and do that, we probably don't need to go thorugh the whole spotting and tracking deal. Edit: :tantrum: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: swords :weep: |
| Demonfey01-24-06, 11:47 AM | 15 major GoUE groups, breaking later forming into four major groups (two of 78, one that would be the kobolds on eagles flying about above us, one that is Ballista, Fang, the golem, Hirohito, and Nhyris) Yeah, there was talk of meeting in the middle, but I think that what's happening is that Wilds just wants to cover how we find the group in the middle. As a side note, may I ask why you are so angry about/at swords? Strange yet true: technically, you can make a were penguin. I now have the type of lycanthropy that I will strive towards weaponizing, since penguins can't defend themselves. |
| jagggar01-24-06, 12:13 PM | You'll find out later. . . Though humorously, I do know someone who's username is Swords. She's not from around here though. Okay, this is all very confusing. . . Covering story-wise or check-wise? If we are clearly meeting in the middle, then we have to do a lot less work than if we want to do the full sweep method. (Meeting in the middle would just place the two groups near eachother and roll spot checks. Full out means comparing speeds and figuring out if they make it back to the SBB before being found, etc.) Are all GoUE PCs together in one group? Give me an example of an NPC group, what's definately needed is spot modifier and land speed. What is the air unit like (numbers, spot modifier, fly speed)? edit: Are there stats for a sheep anywhere? |
| Demonfey01-24-06, 12:31 PM | I'd bet there are stats for sheep in the MM, or something else I'd have. The checks are covering things on the PC-story relation angle. To determine where Darby and Kelreth would be, if the scouts are summoned because we already have a trail, things like that. There are three kobold druids riding medium sized eagles (managed to pull it off so that I had medium sized birds for them as animal companions). If I remember correctly, they have a fly speed of 50 feet. They are currently covering A, C, and E. Landbound troops: groups 1-7: 10 each; Groups 8-13: 11 each. They are better spread out, though, so as to be equal in size. In A2 and E2, they meet up at the fringe and become two groups of 78 that will cover 1560 feet of land due to being spread out but still in sight and close enough to help each other. I'll let Wilds work out how they're divided, since he made them. Leaders: the leaders of the divisions are going straight through C, similar structure to how the troops are moving (20 feet between each of them). HiroHito's spiraling away from the group to act as perimeter guard. The "meet at the middle" thing was simply OOC discussion to further the story, and I'm trying to keep the forces at my command from acting upon OOG information. |
| Wilds01-24-06, 01:30 PM | The pack is split into 11 groups All followers are rangers. Who or may not be converted later depending on what happens in RP. The groups A. 1 6th level 1 2nd level 12 1st level B. 1 6th level 1 2nd level 12 1st level C. 1 5th level 1 2nd level 12 1st level D. 1 5th level 1 2nd level 12 1st level E. 1 4th level 1 2nd level 12 1st level F. 1 4th level 1 2nd level 12 1st level G. 1 4th level 1 2nd level 12 1st level H. 1 4th level 1 2nd level 12 1st level I. 3 3rd level 1 2nd level 13 1st level J. 2 3rd level 1 2nd level 13 1st level K. 2 3rd level 2 2nd level 13 1st level |
| jagggar01-24-06, 02:36 PM | I'm a bit too lazy to do the full word problem it would take to work out exact times on everything. Are we okay with approximate times and such? |
| Demonfey01-24-06, 02:54 PM | Okay. |
| Wilds01-24-06, 02:57 PM | Exact times that we need to be on? Or exact times that everything takes place? |
| jagggar01-24-06, 03:58 PM | Times that everything takes place (in game). Okay, one last thing of confusion: A new scent appears amoung the putrid swamps to Fang. Coupled with the rest of the post, it kinda sounds to me like you think Darby's a member of the SBB and are attempting to protect her from people trying to get the bounty. She ain't a member. Other than that, since I don't believe you'd know where Darby is, I'd like a direction you travel in first. |
| Demonfey01-24-06, 04:08 PM | And now, for some dialogue to make fun of the situation: Now, let's see where the map says we are... It's upside down, sir. Well since it's all marked "unexplored", that doesn't really matter, now does it? How you holding up, by the way? Sunk a couple times, but there wasn't anything interesting down there. So glad my kind originally started out in swamp like areas. Makes this so much more fun. |
| jagggar01-24-06, 06:55 PM | Okay, I messed with the square size. Instead of 10 mi X 10 mi, it's 5 mi X 5 mi. This will almost certianly get revised when Necro has his map done. I have travel times sketched out based on Trackless Swamp. The kobolds on eagles are using 50ft even though the SRD says 80ft since DF said 50ft and it can simulate flying back and forth to cover more ground. All speeds are based on walking, not hustling. I need turalisj's direction and speed. I'll be PMing you with the location of the SBB should that influence your direction. |
| Demonfey01-24-06, 07:00 PM | Didn't check it, I just put down something I remembered was a creature's max speed (apparently, I was thinking about wolves this time). If it's 80 ft, they're moving 80 ft. Also, that really shouldn't affect it, because we'd be clueless as to where it is anyway. |
| jagggar01-24-06, 07:30 PM | Okay then, I'll recalculate using 80ft. |
| Demonfey01-24-06, 07:31 PM | Sorry. |
| jagggar01-24-06, 07:37 PM | It's fine. Now that I got the equations worked out it isn't hard. |
| turalisj01-24-06, 07:58 PM | Tualisj is moving at 30ft through the swamp with his arms up(see character heet for reason) with a combo of float and psionic freedom of movement (a total pp cost of 8 power points, leaving me with 217 to mop the *scratches out floor* swamp with the GoUE members) All in all, I say they are doomed. Oh, and if any of the GoUE people or Darby spot Turalisj, instead of a kalashtar they see what can only be an outsider. It walks on six legs, the front two of which have large blades on them. The other two seems to be tiny and scuttle along to keep up with the front. Four eyes sit on the stump of the head, two of which look out to the sides. (in other words, my ecto armor is active and since I have 5 of them, I look like a quori.) |
| Dyne01-24-06, 07:59 PM | I believe there are die rolls for getting lost in the wilderness (which would especially make sense in the middle of an "unexplored swamp"). I believe swamps also face special difficults as far as tracking. EDIT: Hope this helps. Good luck. Stealth and Detection in a Marsh: In a moor, the maximum distance at which a Spot check for detecting the nearby presence of others can succeed is 6d6×10 feet. In a swamp, this distance is 2d8×10 feet. Undergrowth and deep bogs provide plentiful concealment, so it’s easy to hide in a marsh. A marsh imposes no penalties on Listen checks, and using the Move Silently skill is more difficult in both undergrowth and bogs. GETTING LOST There are many ways to get lost in the wilderness. Following an obvious road, trail, or feature such as a stream or shoreline prevents any possibility of becoming lost, but travelers striking off cross-country may become disoriented—especially in conditions of poor visibility or in difficult terrain. Poor Visibility: Any time characters cannot see at least 60 feet in the prevailing conditions of visibility, they may become lost. Characters traveling through fog, snow, or a downpour might easily lose the ability to see any landmarks not in their immediate vicinity. Similarly, characters traveling at night may be at risk, too, depending on the quality of their light sources, the amount of moonlight, and whether they have darkvision or lowlight vision. Difficult Terrain: Any character in forest, moor, hill, or mountain terrain may become lost if he or she moves away from a trail, road, stream, or other obvious path or track. Forests are especially dangerous because they obscure far-off landmarks and make it hard to see the sun or stars. Chance to Get Lost: If conditions exist that make getting lost a possibility, the character leading the way must succeed on a Survival check or become lost. The difficulty of this check varies based on the terrain, the visibility conditions, and whether or not the character has a map of the area being traveled through. Refer to the table below and use the highest DC that applies. Survival DC Survival DC Moor or hill, map 6 Poor visibility 12 Mountain, map 8 Mountain, no map 12 Moor or hill, no map 10 Forest 15 A character with at least 5 ranks in Knowledge (geography) or Knowledge (local) pertaining to the area being traveled through gains a +2 bonus on this check. Check once per hour (or portion of an hour) spent in local or overland movement to see if travelers have become lost. In the case of a party moving together, only the character leading the way makes the check. Effects of Being Lost: If a party becomes lost, it is no longer certain of moving in the direction it intended to travel. Randomly determine the direction in which the party actually travels during each hour of local or overland movement. The characters’ movement continues to be random until they blunder into a landmark they can’t miss, or until they recognize that they are lost and make an effort to regain their bearings. Recognizing that You’re Lost: Once per hour of random travel, each character in the party may attempt a Survival check (DC 20, –1 per hour of random travel) to recognize that they are no longer certain of their direction of travel. Some circumstances may make it obvious that the characters are lost. Setting a New Course: A lost party is also uncertain of determining in which direction it should travel in order to reach a desired objective. Determining the correct direction of travel once a party has become lost requires a Survival check (DC 15, +2 per hour of random travel). If a character fails this check, he chooses a random direction as the “correct” direction for resuming travel. Once the characters are traveling along their new course, correct or incorrect, they may get lost again. If the conditions still make it possible for travelers to become lost, check once per hour of travel as described in Chance to Get Lost, above, to see if the party maintains its new course or begins to move at random again. Conflicting Directions: It’s possible that several characters may attempt to determine the right direction to proceed after becoming lost. Make a Survival check for each character in secret, then tell the players whose characters succeeded the correct direction in which to travel, and tell the players whose characters failed a random direction they think is right. Regaining Your Bearings: There are several ways to become un-lost. First, if the characters successfully set a new course and follow it to the destination they’re trying to reach, they’re not lost anymore. Second, the characters through random movement might run into an unmistakable landmark. Third, if conditions suddenly improve—the fog lifts or the sun comes up—lost characters may attempt to set a new course, as described above, with a +4 bonus on the Survival check. Finally, magic may make their course clear. |

| jagggar01-24-06, 08:17 PM | 30ft in what direction? There may be dificulties for tracking with scent. So, since this is a swamp, what kind of ground is it (soft or very soft)? And would they be walking through a lot of water? |
| turalisj01-24-06, 08:21 PM | Who said I had to take them on at once? Haven't you heard of hit and run tactics? I'm not going to say anymore, beecause I just know I'll give away my tactics....... |
| Demonfey01-24-06, 08:26 PM | Let's see...Nhyris has a natural swim speed, two of my people don't breathe, one's flying, and the werewolf...well, I don't know about him. I should just use the air ships to search. HiroHito's useful for that, since he has telepathy... |

Come to think of it, the only tactic I've ever seen you use for combat is the "kick in the door, guns blazing" kind. |
| Demonfey01-24-06, 08:32 PM | Come to think of it, the only tactic I've ever seen you use for combat is the "kick in the door, guns blazing" kind. Which is why I expect him to try taking us all on. And why, soon as the other, weaker groups hit the sides, they will join into a larger group. If you encounter the NPCs, there'll be too many for you to take alone. If you encounter the small, leading group, you have three ECL 15's, one ECL 12, and if I remember correctly, a CR 17. |
| Zombomaniac01-24-06, 08:35 PM | HiroHito's useful for that, since he has telepathy... Wait a second.....I have telepathy? I...I honestly forgot I had that. :embarrass |
| Wilds01-24-06, 09:49 PM | Fang has nothing special for getting through the swamp faster, decent swimming but nothing more. Though he can still rip limbs off fairly easily i think. Are there any rules for ripping limbs off? |
| Demonfey01-24-06, 09:52 PM | I think it'd be a called shot/sunder attempt. |
| Zombomaniac01-24-06, 09:53 PM | Are there any rules for ripping limbs off? Strength Check. I've seen it done. *shudders* Minotaur Barbarian ripped off the guys are and beat him with it. Seriously. I dont know the rules for it though. |
| Wilds01-24-06, 09:58 PM | k, cause Fang has a strength of 42, so im thinking he can rib limbs off left and right |
| jagggar01-24-06, 10:09 PM | Are there Offical rules for that or were they houseruled? Because if Fang can rip off limbs, Darby better be able to chop them off. |
| Zombomaniac01-24-06, 10:20 PM | Are there Offical rules for that or were they houseruled? Because if Fang can rip off limbs, Darby better be able to chop them off. The DM was not a House rule kinda guy, but like i said i dont know the rules for it. Chopping them off I think has to do in part with Vorpal and DM discresion. I dont know. I was asked a question and put what I know on the table. Throw it out if you want I dont care. |
| Demonfey01-24-06, 10:23 PM | Are there Offical rules for that or were they houseruled? Because if Fang can rip off limbs, Darby better be able to chop them off. Called shots, Jagggar. Well, in the case of monks, called shots and sunder, probably, but still... |
| jagggar01-24-06, 10:29 PM | But are the called shot rules in a published book? Preferably in a book by a publisher that's not known for overpowered material. |
| Demonfey01-24-06, 10:32 PM | No clue. I'm just guessing at stuff at the moment. |
| Dyne01-24-06, 10:36 PM | I do remember hearing of a book called "Torn Asunder," which focused on critical hits. I think it had stuff in it for chopping off limbs, instant kills, etc. But, I think it was in like 2nd Edition, and from what I heard, it was quite ridiculously broken. I've never heard of any other "official" D&D source for targeting particular body parts. |
| jagggar01-24-06, 10:42 PM | Hmmm. . . Sudden question: Do we have a reason for talking about cutting off limbs here? Other than the basic, "well it came up here" reason? |
| Demonfey01-24-06, 10:44 PM | Don't think so. |
| Dyne01-24-06, 10:52 PM | Hmmm. . . Sudden question: Do we have a reason for talking about cutting off limbs here? Other than the basic, "well it came up here" reason? Is there a reason for talking about anything other than because "it came up"? |
| jagggar01-24-06, 11:13 PM | Good point. But taking out someone's leg could keep quarry from getting away. I had an idea for sundering limbs that involved using armor (natural and unnatural) as hardness. Had something to do with the rules for Hydra heads as well. |
| Demonfey01-24-06, 11:18 PM | Let's just use slightly altered hydra head rules. |
| jagggar01-25-06, 02:03 AM | A hydra can be killed either by severing all its heads or by slaying its body. To sever a head, an opponent must make a successful sunder attempt with a slashing weapon. (The player should declare where the attack is aimed before making the attack roll.) Making a sunder attempt provokes an attack of opportunity unless the foe has the Improved Sunder feat. An opponent can strike at a hydra’s heads from any position in which he could strike at the hydra itself, because the hydra’s head writhe and whip about in combat. An opponent can ready an action to attempt to sunder a hydra’s head when the creature bites at him. Each of a hydra’s heads has hit points equal to the creature’s full normal hit point total, divided by its original number of heads. Losing a head deals damage to the body equal to half the head’s full normal hit points. A natural reflex seals the neck shut to prevent further blood loss. A hydra can no longer attack with a severed head but takes no other penalties. I was originally thinking a normal humanoid would divide by 6. 4 limbs and two portions for the neck/head. But then everyone would just aim for called shots against a creature's neck when there was one. Just dividing by 4 for a non-winged humanoid should be okay. Bone as a weapon has 6 hardness so I was thinking that should apply in some way. (The reason it might not happen with necks could be the number of vertabre (sp) being all nice and moving would prevent the need to actually slice through it as long as you can seperate them.) Of course, then there's the issue of bleeding out. I think it would be best just to stick with the hydra head rules and say it deals half the limb's HP to the total HP. Making it possible for a warrior to have the effects of a wounding weapon (3.0 or 3.5) with a few well placed blows isn't right. |
| Demonfey01-25-06, 11:33 AM | How about constitution damage, then? I mean, if you just lost a limb, that'd also be a lot of blood, right? Therefore, you'd be less durable due to bloodloss. |
| Dyne01-25-06, 02:36 PM | It might be best to limit it to critical hits. Otherwise, I can see a lot of people aiming for limbs, and sundering-type weapons and feats would suddenly become very popular. Might make it so that, on a critical hit, instead of dealing extra damage, the character can target one of the opponent's limbs (arms and legs, not head, neck, or other insta-kill targets). The HP of the limb could just be the full total of the character divided by the number of limbs it has (for most humanoids, it would be 1/4 its full normal total; other creatures might have more limbs). I think the DMG tells the effects of losing different parts of the body, such as a hand or a leg. EDIT: And the issue of "bleeding" should probably just be disregarded. Regular wounds don't "bleed" under normal circumstances, no matter how beat up and wounded the character is. |
| Wilds01-25-06, 03:06 PM | so no strength checks to rip limbs off? |
| turalisj01-25-06, 05:33 PM | I've never heard of any other "official" D&D source for targeting particular body parts. Hint: look in one of the core rule books. Oh, and I've learned from past mistakes. That's how I get all of my character killed. BTW: how is there a cr 17 in the group? Fang? |
| jagggar01-25-06, 05:50 PM | Say, is there a direction you're traveling in? Unless you also use some sort of power to find out which direction she is, I'm going to rule "Towards Darby" is not a valid direction. |
| turalisj01-25-06, 06:01 PM | I'm heading southwest, towards the middle of the swamp. |
| Demonfey01-25-06, 08:04 PM | Hint: look in one of the core rule books. Oh, and I've learned from past mistakes. That's how I get all of my character killed. BTW: how is there a cr 17 in the group? Fang? Golem. We're headed east for the most part. |
| turalisj01-25-06, 08:57 PM | Can a golem handle several replications of itself? |
| Demonfey01-25-06, 09:12 PM | Depends. If it's in a relatively deep area, will you notice it and copy it before it gets you? |
| turalisj01-25-06, 09:23 PM | Well, don't have to copy it exactly. And with what I have planned, it, or any of you, wont know what is there. |
| Demonfey01-25-06, 09:26 PM | So your plan is to make me panic and call in the airships via HiroHito and order a oil and fire strike on the swamp? Because that's just my first reaction. It gets worse from there. |
| turalisj01-25-06, 09:31 PM | Hm...no. That would just **** off all of the SBaB members, thus causing a counterattack. And that's something no one needs. But I'm not going to be giving away anything. for all you know, I could plane shift to Arborea and tell the paladins there that the greatest forces of evil are in one spot, ripe for the picking. :D |
| Demonfey01-25-06, 09:40 PM | And that would be wrong...why? I mean, after this, we're launching a murderous rampage through other lands, taking laborers and corpses to make into zombies, as well as making a few more werewolves to cause some chaos. And I'll be experimenting with them on my attempts to make weaponized lycanthropy. Of course, 100K would help that a lot. That's just the beginning. 'Course, if Fang and his pack fail to bring sufficient people, then they'd have just volunteered for both because they would have failed to take down commoners. And if we take you alive, you've also just volunteered, Turalisj. Specifically for werepenguin. And then throw you out the airlock while you're a penguin. At 6000 feet. |
| Wilds01-25-06, 09:48 PM | Lol dropping oil would be bad. Escpecailly if Kelreth is near by. Fireballs gallor Fang can make more pack members when a few die |
| turalisj01-25-06, 09:51 PM | good luck keeping me from 'porting away. Maybe I should go to every good aligned plane in the multiverse and tell them how to material planes greatest force of evil needs to be stopped. Anyway, good night. I've got to get some sleep. |
| Wilds01-25-06, 09:53 PM | Uhhh would teh good planes not kill u on sight? |
| Demonfey01-25-06, 09:54 PM | Time for fun, then. You know what? This is getting us nowhere. HiroHito, first get in contact with the kobolds and tell them to meet with the pack groups, then go up and contact a ship. Have the airships pick everyone up while the dirgibles and zepellins get oil and other flammable liquids. We're going to burn them out. |
| Zombomaniac01-25-06, 10:05 PM | good luck keeping me from 'porting away. Maybe I should go to every good aligned plane in the multiverse and tell them how to material planes greatest force of evil needs to be stopped. Anyway, good night. I've got to get some sleep. And why would they listen? The forces of good, although powerful, are often slow. Ask a Celestial a question and he might get you a answer in a few Dragon Generations. Aswell your Neutral, an assasin, and a few other things. They will arrest and/or kill you first. If they let you speak then they will debate weither they should get involverd or not. We aren't Epic so we aren't worth their Epic time. Your plan is flawed and merely looking at it drains 5d6 points of intelegence. ;) -Zombie |
| Zombomaniac01-25-06, 10:15 PM | Time for fun, then. Without breaking invisablity. "Yes, Master! Time to Burn!" Telepathic message to Kobolds "Master says to meet with the Pacts and be ready to leave. We're gonna burn something." Telepathic message to Ship. "Time for a pick up and send a message to base: All air worthy Dirgibles and Zepellins are to pack up on oil and any other flammable liquids, then converge on the main ship for more orders." |
| turalisj01-25-06, 10:18 PM | Your plan is flawed and merely looking at it drains 5d6 points of intelegence. ;) -Zombie You don't have even 1d6 of intelligence to drain. |
| Zombomaniac01-25-06, 10:23 PM | You don't have even 1d6 of intelligence to drain. You need to put a " ;) " at the end or people might take ther seriously and have you forgotten Gabriel and his Monk Godly-ness, Jacob who's Leadersgip score is high enough to be in Epic Levels and the fact that I have 1,500 first level followers through my guild alone. Through guild I also has a 10th level Follower. There is also the fact that Hirphito's int, is epic worthy. He has more Int. then Xen. :P |
| jagggar01-25-06, 11:04 PM | Of course, if jagggar hears about this extraplanar plan, she just might show up afterwards, wave, and leave. Not so much help comes that way. . . Most like to keep their lives so they can keep doing good. Now, other than being impatient, about how much time would you suggest they spend before deciding to firebomb the place, DF? |
| Demonfey01-25-06, 11:22 PM | Two hours. Enough time to have to dig the constructs out a couple times, get lost at least once, and be frustrated horribly by inconveniences. Say...ten hours to get the materials together and loaded, three to get there with full cargo holds, and two to get my people out of the area for a total of 15 hours. |
| Wilds01-25-06, 11:44 PM | I hope long enough for Kelreth,Dragel and Darby to get back to the SBB. |
| jagggar01-25-06, 11:50 PM | Okay, in that time, Darby and Kelreth clearly reach the SBB. Small talk? No talk? Ask about each others pasts? (Or more Darby's since Kelreth already summarized his.) Ripping arms off. . . Hmmm. . . Having no notes for it, I'd be tempted to base the DC on one of the variant Massive Damage Thresholds presented in UA. Just because I like it, I'd probably combine Constitution based with HD based (+2 per HD). So it would take a DC 46 strength check to pull Darby's arm or leg off (16 CON, 15 HD). Is that too high? Your average commoner would only take a DC 12 or 13 (10 or 11 CON, 1 HD) to break. . . Maybe too low. . . Seperate DCs for dislocation and relocation? Next thing you know, we're going to get pounds of pressure to rip of X limb and what sort of a strength check would represent that. |
| turalisj01-26-06, 12:57 AM | I hope long enough for Kelreth,Dragel and Darby to get back to the SBB. Perhaps you could meet my char half way, then fill him in on whats going on. |
| Demonfey01-26-06, 12:59 AM | Well, since they don't know about the imminent burning, they can't tell you that. I've been wanting to torch something in a game since OOTS # 270. I got to torch a delver, but that wasn't satisfying enough because it ate two greatswords and a breastplate off my char. |
| Wilds01-26-06, 11:31 AM | Does Dragel make it back? His speed is greater than Kelreths and probably Darbies combined. Darby can ask any questions if she wishes too. turalisj: have your char go back towards the SBB, im hoping that the chars will get some warning before the SBB is hit by fire too. |
| jagggar01-26-06, 12:09 PM | Kelreth can ask questions as well. I mean, how often do you find a good character who respects the art of sneaking in and killing people, let alone considers it an art? Pah! if Darby knew her way, she could get there twice as fast as Kelreth. Divide by 2, carry the 4. . . . I'll get it cleaned up before any firebombing begins. Does he have a way to keep from getting bogged down by the swamp, or not? |
| Demonfey01-26-06, 12:11 PM | Getting to the point where I just decidde to burn things, loading the oil onto the ships, and getting to the point where I'm ready to burn the swamp will be 17 hours. Unless he takes nearly a day to get there, chances are he makes it back. |
| jagggar01-26-06, 12:33 PM | Darby and Kelreth take 1h40min to get to the SBB. Dragel takes 5h to return assuming reduced movement. |
| Orcy The Green Wonder01-26-06, 12:36 PM | If Orcy did his math right, you'll need (roughly) 8448gp to have enough oil to cover the miles the swamp takes up. This oil will only burn for 12 seconds before going out. This was of course done using the rules presented for the little bit of oil in the PHB. So, if the damp substances in the swamp don't catch fire, you've wasted a lot of money for a fantastic 12 second light show. At least, by Orcy's calculations... which may or may not be trustworthy. |
| Demonfey01-26-06, 12:43 PM | Thank you for figuring that out for me, Orcy. I was going to do that either late tonight or tomorrow. Odds are that something will catch on fire in this whole thing, so I'm willing to take those odds. |
| jagggar01-26-06, 12:59 PM | Mmmm. . . Shiney. Still gunna take a while to spread all that out. . . evenly. |
| Wilds01-26-06, 01:33 PM | Kelreth can fly if necassary. Dragel has trackless step and flawless stride, not to sure what either do but I think one of them helps. Ill look them up after classes are done with. Go dive for cover ^^ "So what do you think of what I do?" |
| jagggar01-26-06, 02:33 PM | "I don't believe it's right to kill unless you must. That said, my family," she pauses searching for the right word, "impressed upon me the importance of not getting caught when using stealth. My mother was an assassin herself." |
| Wilds01-26-06, 03:00 PM | "hahahaha So you know more than what msot would think. Thats a very interesting fact, I would keep it a secret if I where you. People might take it the wrong way." |
| Demonfey01-26-06, 03:21 PM | You're right. Where's the BM? I can use him here... |
| jagggar01-26-06, 03:23 PM | "I wouldn't deny it if someone asked, even if I was a good liar, it would cause more problems than it could solve. Anyone who would judge another solely on breeding is not a good judge." |
| Wilds01-26-06, 03:34 PM | "Aaaaahhh. So you see the problem. People think I am evil because of what I do. I hope that might change soon. We will see" |
| jagggar01-26-06, 04:22 PM | Darby nods, "So do I." Hmmm. . . Dragel needs to make a spot check. |
| Wilds01-26-06, 05:57 PM | Dragel spot check: 10 modifer + 18 rolled = 28 http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=347228 |
| Zombomaniac01-26-06, 08:18 PM | If need be Hirohito can cast fireball or other fire based 3rd level spell 14 or 18 times. Can't remeber which right now. There are also the other fire spells for setting stuff on fire. |
| Demonfey01-26-06, 08:22 PM | Soon as we see people moving around due to copious amounts of fire, let them have it, then. Unless you spot Darby. |
| jagggar01-26-06, 08:55 PM | Dragel spots four scrags ahead of him about 120 feet off. As one's gaze passes him it pauses. Between them, to Dragel's right, trees grow out of the water overtaking the soft ground. ASCII Sketch. . . T T . . . . . | . . . | jagggar01-29-06, 11:49 PM | Darby and Kelreth arrive at the SBB. So, who of the SBB is at the SBB? Does Kelreth waltz right in with Darby, or does he try to sneak her in so the other members don't see? (I'm kinda assuming they'd know about the bounty.) |
| Wilds01-30-06, 12:09 AM | He walks in with Darby behind him. |
| turalisj01-30-06, 12:13 AM | After his powers wear off, he decides it isn't worth it to search the swamp and heads back for some tea and a nice book... |
| Wilds01-30-06, 10:35 PM | Fang and the pack emerge from the swamp. "Well so much for the joy of the hunt. So your just gana burn the place down?" |
| turalisj01-30-06, 10:45 PM | Btw: the power (psionic freedom of movement) lasts for 150mins, or 2 hours 30mins. That means After nearly 3 hours of searching the fetid swamps, I head back. (don't know if that's before or after the two return to the HQ) |
| Demonfey01-30-06, 10:47 PM | Yes. I figure that I might as well get operation **** it started, and this will be a good point. We're wasting too much time on this as is, and I need you to get to slaughtering that village. Instead of following my previous orders, though, capture and infect as many as you want. That way, we have a constant flow of donors for the lycanide poison I have in mind. Don't worry, it causes lycanthropy. |
| Wilds01-30-06, 10:54 PM | Raises an eyebrow at lycanide. "Ok" He turns to the pack, "We go" Then runs off towards a village. are there any close ones? |
| Demonfey01-30-06, 10:56 PM | No clue. |
| jagggar01-30-06, 11:03 PM | Your return would be after Kelreth and Darby get there (at least an hour). DF, you got a ninja that's a member here, don't ya? |
| Demonfey01-30-06, 11:05 PM | He's stuck in the arena fight. |
| turalisj01-30-06, 11:11 PM | Your return would be after Kelreth and Darby get there (at least an hour). ok. After over two hours of searching, Turalisj gave up and headed back to the HQ for a nice cup of tea and a good draconic novel. He teleported in at his room, looking for one of the books he had collected. He didn't hear anyone else in the HQ, but that was no diffrent than any other time. |
| Wilds01-30-06, 11:55 PM | how long has the fight been going in teh arena? |
| jagggar01-31-06, 12:09 AM | The new topic was made December 14th. So clearly over a month. |
| gabrion01-31-06, 01:12 AM | He's stuck in the arena fight. It seems like we've seen a couple times where we consider the arena fights to be outside the normal time stream so that people fighting there can carry on with their characters' lives outside of the arena. I think it would be fair to use this kind of a system here so DF's (and my) SBB character can be at the hide-out. |
| Wilds01-31-06, 02:33 AM | That is crazy, people should get on more if they are in an arena fight |
| Zombomaniac01-31-06, 08:41 AM | That is crazy, people should get on more if they are in an arena fight I am on every day and its still not doing any good. :raincloud Raises an eyebrow at lycanide. "Ok" He turns to the pack, "We go" Then runs off towards a village. are there any close ones? Of course, there just arn't any important enough to be on the map. There are always villages scattered all over, but some just aren't mapped since they aren't important and have a tendancey to vanish. ;) If we are going to do this we need a population and average ECL for the village. Also we will need a place to do this. Since it isn't taking place at the GoUE or anywhere in specific really it would likely be best to start something like an "Adventures Thread." That way this wont cluter the GoUE, cause if we held it there it would make really hard for people to post there and not be part of the raid. |
| jagggar01-31-06, 10:26 AM | And for clarification, the new match officially started Dec. 19th. If the match is one of those "No resources are actually spent" matches, then I don't really see a reason in keeping everyone there, especially since we're not even out of Round 2 there. The other GMs sounded like they disagreed with me, but really, what makes more sense? As I'm almost certian, there will be nothing in the villiage powerful enough to challenge. . . Are we sure we need to play that whole thing out? |
| Wilds01-31-06, 10:36 AM | If its not out of Round 2 after more than a month than some one is slacking off and messing up the game for the other people. So let the other people in the fight do what they want to outside of the arena. |
| Zombomaniac01-31-06, 06:32 PM | i honestly dont care either way. if it stops then whatever and if it continues then i will take part. |
| Demonfey02-08-06, 01:30 AM | Can I torch the place yet? Also: After the wyvern landed, Nhyris and Ballista find a comfortable (read: not being bitten) seat in the wyvern's mouth. We really need to develop this thing... Then, as the other ships begin with the oil, the wyvern runs, takes off, and flies back to GoUE lands. |
| Wilds02-08-06, 01:54 AM | "Dont like the toothy feel? hahahahah" |
| Demonfey02-08-06, 12:47 PM | It's useless as part of the guild hall unless there's space to actually fit people in... |
| Wilds02-08-06, 01:18 PM | "hahaha thats why the forest be better, places to sleep and hide where no one can find you" |
| Demonfey02-08-06, 02:24 PM | They were already taken. And shouldn't you be pillaging villages about now? |
| Wilds02-08-06, 03:47 PM | A look of surpise falls onto his face then slides right off. "Right...." He turns and leaves Pillaging villages |
| jagggar02-13-06, 10:51 PM | Okay, before firebombing begins, does anything important happen at the SBB? I don't really know what goes on in game here normally. Does Kelreth try to call the bounty in or anything else happen? |
| Wilds02-14-06, 12:10 AM | He actaully in a moral quandary. Original intent was to get the bounty. But a better life is appelling to him. Nothing important happens unless more people show up |
| jagggar02-14-06, 11:49 AM | Yay! All goes according to plan. Except for the bounty and impending firebombing. . . So, now that the match is officially over, who's gunna show up? |
| Demonfey02-14-06, 12:33 PM | To keep things simple, Tetsuo's going to be absent. That way it isn't one person trying to run two PCs on different sides. To cut down on issues like the ones at the arena, how about we have seconds, or people that, during combat, are willing to control our characters for one round if we haven't been on for a few days. |
| Wilds02-14-06, 12:52 PM | I second Demonfey's notition of seconds |
| jagggar02-14-06, 12:54 PM | I'm fine with people running two PCs on different sides. If you're worried about it, just have your characters target other peoples characters. How long would you say (3 days? 1 week?)? By the end of that time, if you haven't shown, your character delays until you get online and do something. Then, opposed rolls or reactionary rolls that aren't rolled within a day can be rolled by the GMs. Having "understudies" doesn't sound like too bad of an idea to me. They should be somewhat optional though, so if someone would rather delay than have someone else control their character they can. |
| Demonfey02-14-06, 12:56 PM | I just don't want to have them both here is all. |
| jagggar02-14-06, 01:37 PM | Okay, up to you. Who else was held up by the Arena match? |
| jagggar02-26-06, 03:58 PM | Time passes. So who's in charge of the GoUE now? Fire is about to commense as far as I'm concerned. . . . |
| thasis02-26-06, 04:09 PM | Alastor is currently in charge. He's my newest character, and the general of Thasis the Evil. He was appointed by Thasis the Evil as the leader of the Guild of Ultimate Evil. |
| Demonfey03-27-06, 06:49 PM | Once everyone's out of the way, an aarakocra alights on one of the zepellins. Shortly after, it takes off with a lit torch, and manages to drop it into the swamp still lit. It then flies up as fast as it can. |
| Kobold_Ur_Priest03-27-06, 07:14 PM | Count me in. Shadow is the most likely character that I will use, though Cerberus is also available. also...I have a character which I had made for one of my campaigns...basically an assassin god... |
| jagggar03-27-06, 08:33 PM | The swamp glows brilliantly for a moment as faint cries of pain and terror drift up to the Evil Base. A number of spots continue to glow as a mist rises from the swamp preceeding the smoke. *blank stare* Darn it, I shoulda read the fire section better before returning DMGII to the library. Wilds, the SBB have windows? |
| Demonfey03-27-06, 08:44 PM | Nhyris begins roasting marshmallows over the swamp's still burning areas. Hehehe... |
| Kobold_Ur_Priest03-27-06, 09:07 PM | A small black clad figure and a massive werewolf stand, side by side, watching the swamp burn. |
| Wilds03-27-06, 09:45 PM | Yes it has windows Drageth comes running into the SBB, "No abnormal things to report" |
| Kobold_Ur_Priest03-27-06, 09:52 PM | Death comes on wings of fire, and soon your bodies shall join the pyre. |
| jagggar03-29-06, 01:18 PM | My HP says otherwise! DF, Nhyris play-marshmallow roasting, or is the ship/base/thing going down low next to one of the remaining larger fires? Wilds, I'm just kinda gunna assume he comes in before the fire is lit. Darn it! They paned windows or just holes in the walls? I'm too lazy to try another lovely RPified segment without that knowledge. If it's got glass panes, one of them shatters letting a wave of heat in. If the windows have greased parchment (I believe that was a style of window), they all catch fire. If the windows are basically holes in the wall, waves of heat come through all of them. |
| Demonfey03-29-06, 02:23 PM | He play-roasts it, just because the situation calls for it. |
| Wilds03-29-06, 02:46 PM | Glass windows, which bulk and collapse aparently. "That is rather unexpected." |
| Kobold_Ur_Priest03-29-06, 03:18 PM | (old 80's version of "Burn Baby Burn") lol |
| Rurik "The Silent"05-22-06, 12:52 PM | OOC: Whats up guys, im one of the origionals for this guild. Wondering how its going or if the games ever really got started i never had time to do this for a while. Also, shout out whats up Wilds! (if you look i was the old guild master and put in all the work and built an entire guild house from scratch on the other thread.) |
| thasis05-22-06, 02:52 PM | The games being slow and unproductive in my opinion. I think we should just restart the old games and run them without the GM's... self-govern ourselves (which I think is perfectly possible). |
| Wilds05-22-06, 06:37 PM | Hey Rurik, good to see you back! Thasis it sounds good. It would be rather hard to curtail any one who volunatarily breaks the rules. |
| turalisj05-22-06, 06:45 PM | I plan on having a character for this guild next round. If next round ever happens. |
| thasis05-22-06, 11:34 PM | Things could be controlled. I could keep of people in general just to make sure that they don't break the rules (but not as a official in-control GM). |
| jagggar05-23-06, 12:35 AM | Well, technically we're supposed to be continuing anyways, just using freeform instead of D&D rules. I was planning on keeping Darby's stats in mind even in freeform, so if you guys want to continue where we left off, just don't expect me to keep track of traveling times or create random encounters and such for this. I do believe there is still a bounty out on Darby's head. . . |
| thasis05-23-06, 01:18 AM | I want to reverse mutch of what has happened (as it happened because nobody was here because the supposed end of the second round) and I we need more good aligned people. A bunch of evil against one good isn't much fun. |
| Zombomaniac05-23-06, 08:40 AM | I want to reverse mutch of what has happened (as it happened because nobody was here because the supposed end of the second round) and I we need more good aligned people. A bunch of evil against one good isn't much fun. Dont worry I have been planning to make a good PC and I favor good alignments anyway. But thee will need to be more then just me. |
| jagggar05-23-06, 08:48 AM | I thought evil liked slaughter. And IIRC, isn't Kelreth neutral? So it'd be a good and a neutral (and Zombo's good it seems now) against a bunch of evils. |
| thasis05-23-06, 04:02 PM | Well Chaotic Evil like a slaughter. I prefer a challenge. Keeps me unbored. |
| jagggar05-23-06, 04:31 PM | While I know at the time it was everybody and their grandmother out hunting down Darby, it seems we've lost a few of them, so maybe the evil force isn't as big as it once was. Either way, we can wait around to post until there's a larger good force (which likely isn't going to show up unless there's posting going on) or we can go ahead and post and if we want to alter the challenge-ing-ness-ism of the stuff that happens we can do it as it happens. |
| turalisj05-23-06, 04:44 PM | Well, there's still my psion who can kick ass (though I'm changing around his feats and giving himectopic form[iridescent serpent] and ectopic form[ebony stinger]) Whihc reminds me, I would suggest we don't change astral construct to the crapped up version in complete psionics (I've even got someone who doesn't use psionics agreeing with me..) |
| thasis05-23-06, 05:12 PM | I agree about the Astral Construct. And we could start that up again. We should figure out who's playing though...<<...>>... and see if Demonfey is willing to return. |
| turalisj05-23-06, 05:36 PM | We could have like a duel between a wizard an shaper- both at the same level. You can cast buffs for the monsters/astral constructs you summon/create. Instead of attacking eachother though, you have to first destroy a castle that gaurds you..... |
| thasis05-23-06, 05:52 PM | That could prove to be intressting... like I said, let's figure out who's still intressting in playing and teh such. |
| jagggar05-23-06, 06:13 PM | Yeah, I don't really know anything about that. And as I believe I said, offically round 2 will be freeform. As long as people agree upon it, we can still use the stats, but if people come to an encounter where freeform is prefered to stats, freeform rules. |
| Zombomaniac05-23-06, 10:10 PM | We are having two IFWGs right? One that is freeform and one that is rules? ----------- I am going to make a good and probably a evil for my PCs. |
| jagggar05-23-06, 10:23 PM | Yes and no. We're gunna have the freeform continue from what already happened in IFWG Round 2, but it is not going to continue to be known as IFWG. |
| thasis05-23-06, 10:45 PM | Yah, it's like IFGW remenant  And if I may say, I still wanna keep things relatively rules based (with freeform during certain parts to keep things a little more fun). It's mainly combat/conflict that needs to be done rules based. That's just my thought though. |
| jagggar05-23-06, 11:17 PM | Well, eventually gabrion will be back (or someone else will come around) and will create another one of those crazy powerful chracters (remember how everyone freaked out when Striker fought at the arena) and people will whine and that's when people will understand the benefit of (a) freeform and/or (b) limited resourses (not allowing everything published to be used). So we cut the travelling from it I guess. That's one of the main things I hate figuring and I don't plan on figuring any more. Wilds, you in for the RP? |
| thasis05-23-06, 11:49 PM | I'm in for some RPing... I'm playing D&D toomarow as a player for the first time in sooooo long (a year or so I think, and two years since I've been in a consistant campaign)... but even still... i'm in for some online role-playing. It's soooo continus instead of having to wait a week to do anything. |
| alaron06-13-06, 11:02 AM | OOC: two things 1st I am still interested in playing, but would rather not be caught up in the rule making so PM me if this starts. 2nd I mean no disrespect to any one when I say this but the following statement is somewhat falacious.(if you look i was the old guild master and put in all the work and built an entire guild house from scratch on the other thread.) Wilds tookover the guild when Rurik resigned, who took the spot from Kingside Bishop, who had recieved permission to alter and reconstruct the guild from another member. I am not sure about any other leaders but that should cover the most recent history. I do need to add though that this guild would not be as developed as it is if Rurik had not been present. The point I guess is that Rurik was a key component to the development of this guild, but as for building it from scratch that may be an exageration. Sorry to bother any one with this post, Alaron |

So much time and effort has gone into this by countless people. Resigned and still active. |
| Frostbite_Ravenheart06-18-06, 11:34 AM | I've been meaning to post here for awhile but I forgot until now... Anyways when this foundation was under its former leadership I approached the leader secretly as the leader of the CoA and asked for a secret alliance between the two leaders. This was quite ironic because both the CoA and the SBB were both supposed to be neutral and yet had very motivated very-not-neutral allies such as the GOUE yet we didn’t want the relationship between two neutral leaders to be known to anyone else. The plan was to support each other and eventually build an open relation between the CoA and the SBB. It would have made the two foundations nearly untouchable because any assault on either foundation would suffer from the combined retribution of the SBB and the CoA and I don’t think anyone wants a bunch of highly-trained professional killers armed to the teeth with magic items, scrolls and an unlimited amount of magical support at their disposal. Well I would like to restart that alliance. Now I don’t know everything that’s going on with this whole IFGW thing and all that so exact details will have to wait. However I would like to make every effort to build a strong alliance between the two neutral SBB and the CoA in any incarnation of the IFGW that involves both the SBB and the CoA in anyway possible. Wilds, I rarely venture out of the CoA thread now a days so I hardly know you as well as I did Kingside Bishop and the other leaders. If you’d like discuss things more personally and privately about this alliance or tell me you think it’s just a stupid idea PM me and will discuss it. Also before I forget…I’ve been considering adding a character to their SBB’s roster but since I’m still trying to read-up on what’s going on with the IFGW I’ll hold off on that for now. -Frosty |
| Wilds06-18-06, 01:08 PM | An alliance would be great. I look forward to what will become of it. I dont really know whats going on right now either. Theres lot of new threads but not a lot of new people as far i can see. I will be playing a SBB char if the ecl 15 is still running here. I plan to keep it going even if the ecl 15 is gone, there needs to be a guild dedicated to finding new and creatize ways to make people uncomfortable in there sleep :D |
| thasis06-18-06, 04:55 PM | Hmmm... I think from the looks of it the ECL15 game is being sent to the Guilds and Kingdoms RPOL boards run by Dyne, Me, and Orcy. Link: http://rpol.net/game.cgi?gi=16453&gn=Guilds+and+Kingdoms+(DnD+3.5)&date=1149726157. |
| Wilds06-18-06, 08:31 PM | Im in that one as Kelreth Frost want to carry some sort of alliance over there? |
| Frostbite_Ravenheart06-19-06, 07:40 PM | Im in that one as Kelreth Frost want to carry some sort of alliance over there? The only problem with guilds and Kingdoms is that players aren't guild leaders so it will have to be more of a personal alliance for now until the two of us can retake control of the guild. And what better way to take control of a guild then by sending highly-trained assassins armed to the teeth with magic items and an unlimited amount of magic support. I definitly think we should have an alliance of some type but we will have to wait to discuss the specifics. I'll talk to you more about it over on the Guilds and Kingdoms page beacuse I didn't know that you were Kelreth. -Frosty |
| Wilds06-19-06, 08:06 PM | Lol sorry, i told one of the dms the name before realizing that every one else wasnt changing their names, lol |
| Kobold_Ur_Priest06-19-06, 08:48 PM | Ok, i'm seriously freaking out here- RPOL's down and I'm bored outta my mind.... |
| turalisj07-02-06, 05:22 PM | *takes out an air horn* BUMP Don't let such a great place die! Next order of buisness: An assassin with elemental powers, can it be done? |
| Wilds07-02-06, 11:55 PM | Elemental powers? Like magic? or nature based? youre in kenosha? i go to school in milwaukee |
| Aramar the Black07-03-06, 12:24 PM | Here's something that might be close to what you are looking for, turalisj. The Elemental Infiltrator (http://www.giantitp.com/Func0017.html) |
| nameless_one_8607-21-06, 07:48 PM | I'm interested, but I am new to boards and it will take me some time to flip trough FAQ (damn that thing is huge). I am almost always an assasin so this place is perfect for me ^^ |
| Zombomaniac07-22-06, 12:38 AM | I'm interested, but I am new to boards and it will take me some time to flip trough FAQ (damn that thing is huge). | nameless_one_8607-22-06, 10:17 AM | Well I have 24/7 internet and no classes till October :P So I'll be fairly active. Starting ten days from now... I'm heading to see my gramma tommorow (sudden arrangements  ) |
| Zombomaniac07-24-06, 11:34 AM | Well I have 24/7 internet and no classes till October :P So I'll be fairly active. Starting ten days from now... I'm heading to see my gramma tommorow (sudden arrangements  ) Don't worry Brother Nameless. :) Knowing how things have been going you will be back before we are active. :weep: |

| turalisj08-06-06, 03:48 PM | Grafts that can help with assassination? |
| Wilds08-17-06, 08:25 PM | CAn we make them? OR only current grafts? |
| turalisj08-17-06, 09:23 PM | We have to make them, and they have to cost under 50k. :D |
| Rurik "The Silent"10-09-06, 10:28 PM | Then welcome abord, Brother Nameless! So how active do you think you will be once you catch up and the game starts? game still has not started yet? well giant kudos to Wilds for sticking with this for almost 2 years now. By far the oldest member of the SBaB |
| Wilds10-13-06, 12:15 PM | If i had been posting regularly enough ya. now im just waiting for the free form to start |
| jagggar10-13-06, 01:08 PM | The freeform isn't starting, it just IS. Or the less esoteric answer is that it's already started. |
| turalisj01-15-07, 10:48 PM | Bump. Common people, we need to get moving! We have another guild moving in on our turf! |
| Wilds01-19-07, 11:38 AM | Kelreth walks into the guild. "That will not stand for long....Brethren we have work to do" |
| Chrono Nexus02-15-07, 11:28 AM | Cor flutters into a nearby alley, shape shifts into a black haired human, and enters the front door. "Greetings, I'm a man of many skills in search of work. You can call me Cor." |
| turalisj05-30-07, 10:43 PM | A pair of dancing figures stopped midmotion. An elegant blade was above each one's head. They were matched perfectly in movements, down to thier hair moving. As one figure put away his sword, the other vanished. He walked towards Cor. You may simply call me Dancer. I am sorry for the lack of commotion around here, but it seems all the performers have left for elsewhere. Come on people, let's not have the GoUE:*D have all the fun! |
