We're back, and hopefully just as strong. The idea of this guild is to promote the design and creation of castles, keeps, and fortresses of doom.

We will also build any stronghold at a 5% discount. However, we require that a set of keys to the stronghold be given to the build master in charge of the construction.

Whoa! I thought we hath been lost, turalisj! I got myself the SHB... and the Draconomicon, big guy... ;) get ready for a reloaded dragon-killer challenge.

In any case, I´m working on a place. Soon you´ll have news of me... :) making a new castle.

BTW, have you thought of the possibility of making a crossover between the puzzle makers and the stronghold builders? We´d like to stop playing in the lawn, and I´m getting hungry out there... I want a kitchen. ;)

P.S: Sign me up.

I'll join up. I like fortresses and such, and 5% sounds pretty good.

Heya! Have you considered making the Puzzle Makers´ manor?

This is how I´ve designed the layout so far...

Components:

Upper Floor
-Fancy master´s suite
1 ss, 5ƒ
-Fancy bedroom components, 4
4 ss, 16ƒ
-Fancy bathroom
1 ss, 2ƒ

Ground Floor
-Fancy common area
1 ss, 3ƒ
-Fancy kitchen
1 ss, 12ƒ, 2 cooks
-Fancy dining hall
2 ss, 12ƒ, 1 servant
-Fancy library (book lots on dungeoneering, the planes, and architecture)
1 ss, 6ƒ
-Fancy bathroom
1 ss, 2ƒ
-Fancy alchemical lab
1 ss, 3ƒ, 1 alchemist
-Fancy smithy
1 ss, 2ƒ, 1 smith
-Trophy hall x1
2 ss, 2ƒ
-Fancy study
1 ss, 2.5ƒ
-Fancy servants´ quarters
1 ss, 0.4ƒ

Basement
-Fancy storage
1 ss, 1ƒ

19 ss, 68.9ƒ (68.900 gp).

----

19 ss, 40% of walls interior, 60% exterior. One space is separate, though.
Interior walls: Wood. Exterior walls: Masonry, superior.
18 ss wood: 18ƒ. 40%= 7.2ƒ.
18 ss masonry: 54ƒ. 60%= 32.4ƒ.

One of the spaces, though, is iron. 6ƒ.

----

Wondrous Architecture:
Chamber of Gentle Repose (custom; paid for as a chamber of safety, 9ƒ)
Freezer (custom, 1ƒ)

----

Well, the storage is inside an iron room. There´s a small thing that shoots at the wall with a ray of frost each round as long as it has a rock above, and everything inside is affected as if by gentle repose.

----

Other:
There´s a wardrobe in the corridor leading to the storage room. In it, there are three cold weather suits, one size fits all from small to large. They´ll be treated as large suits, with half of the price for each other size. 2.75 times the cost, so they´ll be 66 gp.

Well, I´m a bit lazy to do the math now, turalisj. How much would that cost me?

I'd have to check. My current building project: Iron Dragon Roost (a keep for my newest character, Tibur)

I'm going to be stuck at the hospital all tommarow, so I'll post it that night.

And, here's the general description of the Iron Dragon Roost:

Location: The IDR is located at the choke point of a tunnel system that leads to four kobold tribes. In return for protecting the alliance of tribes, the tribes worked much of the stone around the castle, making it what it is. Aboveground, there sits a simple wooden shop, run by what appears to be a human. However, the human is merely a kobold sorcerer (Tibur's brother and cohort). A ceremonial dagger must be shown (the daggers have an arcane mark cast on them by the shop keeper/sorcerer) before entrance can be gained to the main castle belowground.

Inside: Inside the castle is a richly decorated palace that would make many kings drool. A lavish garden lit by a bright luminary sits in the enter and just above the combat training grounds, where a complex pipe system, fed from a natural spring, supplies water throughout the compound. Basic infantrymen (kobold wrbld1) are quartered in one of three barracks, while officers have thier own quarters. Tibur himself has a masterbedroom larger than most cottages ,and a guest quarters sits adjecent to his room. Six servants, a vallay, and two cooks staff the castle, attending to the massive needs of such a large fortress.

I have the castle at 32ss, costing slightly under 200k. I cut alot of cost by having it underground and made of stone, which fits with being a kobold's fortress.
