AMAZING CREATORS

Why? I created this foundation out of my love for the Creative Aspect of Dungeons and Dragons. I hope to get as many 'creators' as possible into this Foundation in order to make some FANTASTIC creations.

Who? I request those that wish to join the Amazing Creators foundation must have created at least 2 or more Classes, Creatures, Feats, Items, or Prestige Classes and posted them on the boards.

Branches: I want this foundation to have multiple branches, members of each branch depending on what they create. A single member can be part of multiple branches, as long as they meet the requirements.
Class Branch: This branch is for Amazing Creators that design core classes and prestige classes.
Monstrous Branch: This branch of Amazing Creators is for those of us that love creating and managing monsters of all ways, shapes, and forms.
Utility Branch: The 3rd branch of the Amazing Creators foundation focuses upon the creation of feats and non-magical equipment.
Research Branch: This branch of Amazing Creators is for those that create and maintain magical items and spells.

Posts: As well as normal posts, such as discussion and the designing of the above lists, I wish for each member to create themselves their own little post upon this Thread that gives links to all their creations. I request that you DO NOT post your creations here, post them in the board they belong in and LINK them. I myself will then post a link to your Post upon the Member's Post (below) depending on what branch you are in.
Example: Nightscreamer20 has created # Monsters, # PrCs, and # Spells. Therefore his Post page will Linked under the Class, Monstrous, and Research branches.

Now *WELCOME* this concept here!!

I'll return to Edit this with some of my work - after I've digested the concepts you're running with.

I want to say - what you're doing is ***EXACTLY*** the kind of creative "thread-interplay" ideas that will make Guild House exciting.

You're looking at the place as you would an HTML document - where Threads interlace with one another.

This is how we can all develop this Zone into something exicting.

Congratulations on "looking outside the square".

I'm impressed.

EDIT - to reader - "Interplay threads" needn't be about this much output - you can create more social ones with RP ideas too. Make yourselves comfortable and bring what you like here - it's ALL good.

Sweet! Count me in! Am I #2 or #3?

Here's me stuff (I'll pimp it a bit too. Is that ok?):

Feats:
Ancenstral Remnant Feats (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=141360). My idea here is to cut back on templates, races, etc. necessary to supply mechancis behind having a r0xx0r granddad or whatever.

Class Alternates: Sorcerer Fix (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=195345). Simple. It doesn't fix as many problems as I'd like it to, but it definatelly gives the sorcerer a bit of an out-of-combat edge (and is really easy to implement).
Sorcerer Overhaul (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=202143). Looking back, it really is too powerful. I'll have to go back and edit it sometime.

Core Classes:
The Fist of God (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=3087753#post3087753). Again, I need to go back and retool this one of these days. A lot of the ailities are totally out of whack. Part 1 of my Subdivision of the Cleric.
The Voice of God (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=3128146#post3128146). I'm kinda fond of this one. Its flavor is simultaneous highly defined and flexible: you get to choose your god, but you then have it very tightly set. What can I say? I'm a sucker for casters. Part 2 in my Subdivision of the Cleric.

Prestige Classes:
The Arcane Teacher (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=136369&). My first attempt at class creation. I really should go back and make it, you know, balanced, but I kinda feel like that would be like burning my baby pictures (overdramatic, obviously, but what can I say?).
THe Charismatic Hero (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=2768811). Coming up with abilities for this guy was really, really hard. As it stands, they are kinda sketchy, but it fits my idea. You can't say charisma is a dump stat for this guy, though, and that was half my goal anyway ;).
The Cat Burglar (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=2470827#post2470827). I was going to play one of these but the campaign didn't pan out. A fun class. Like a cat race on a case of Ballz Energy Drink. All I can say is that one of these guys can make a frickin' awesome jumper.
The Flyer (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=184388). Honestly now: who *hasn't* wanted to fly like Superman at one point or another? My main motivation for this was that fly *sucks* in 3.5 (and wasn't that steller in 3.0 either).
The Halfling Thrower (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=2589309#post2589309). Not to pat my own back, but I always get a kick out of this guy's abilities.
The Ioun Aficianado (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=2518704#post2518704). I have a passion for petty magic items. What is more petty than a dull gray Ioun Stone?
The La Voix de l'Amour (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=2468725#post2468725). I honestly don't see why this was voted as "Underpowered" in the Vallentine's day contest. "Song of Universal Love" alone can practically screw up the DM's evil plans. BBEG is now a NGCG (Nice, Good, Caring, guy). Plus the RP value is, IMO, high.
The Nonmagical (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=2564355#post2564355). Now *this* is one fighter who *isn't* defined by his magic items! I like this baby for a number of reasons, not the least of which being that it can make an *awesome* enemy for my PCs (uber stats w/o handing over magic items = ).
The One Hit Wonder (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=177553). Kinda got a Zen feeling to it. Calmly, cooly, rationally drawing an arrow, taking aim, and killing with that one projectile. Beauty.
The Seer (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=2350047). One of my favorites of my own. This class was duel purposed: A) give life to the very common fantasy archetypical Seer, and B) make a divination specialist playable (I mean, it kinda already is, but a sorcerer specialising in it will have a hard time IMX). The fact that itbecomes almost impossible to kill is a happy side effect :D
The Sourcerer (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=2186468#post2186468). My second attempt at PrC design. The sorcerer equivalent of an Archmage (yes yes yes, I know that its not at all similar. I'm speaking flavor-wise. I just don't see the archmage as fitting the flavor of a sorcerer all that well). This guy fits my idea of an innate arcane casting *much* better than the PHB sorcerer.

d20 Modern Advanced Classes:
The Magical Mathemetician (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=2911195). I positively *loathe* the Occultist and wanted something different.

Please accept the Multicolored Mage's application for entry.
For flavor's sake, I shall diss all my creations instead.

Monsters:

Life Slaad (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=213208) What a pantywaist!
Rainbow Slaad (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=213208) Obviously someone was on some quality stuff writing this one. "Oh, man, look at the multicolored frog...<sob>...it's so BEAUTIFUL!...."

Oz Outsiders:
Whimsie (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=222441) These have got to be the stupidest monsters I've ever seen. They waste all 8 of their skill points on Craft: paper-mache?
Growleywog (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=222441) Oh, THAT was creative. It's a stone giant with fire immunity.
Erb (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=222441) Don't we already have this? Isn't it called a doppelganger illusionist?
Phanfasm (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=222441) Okay, so he took MORE levels of illusionist.

Energy Elementals:
Negative Elemental (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=227467) Look, Marge, it's the Super Shadow!
Positive Elemental (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=227467) It's like a sunray spell that got out of the lab and took on a life of its own.

Storm Dragon (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=227816) I am like a comedian that likes my own jokes too much. I give my monsters my own spells as spell-like abilities. (wall of storm)

Hyphodevil (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=229582) The stick figure of ultimate EEEEEVIL!
Ur-hyphodevil (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=229582) Oh, no, wait, the THREE-ARMED stick figure of ultimate EEEEEVIL!
Chitin Devil (Kyndias) (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=231325) Would you believe this was originally the horned devil...too bad there is already a horned devil?
Loviat Guard (Ur-kyndias) (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=231325) The steroids turned him blue.

Prestige Classes:

Master of Sunlight (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=226779) And when he touches a vampire, they mutually annihiliate.
Hyperspecialist (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=231316) Okay, that's just gross. Rotting from the inside does NOT make you a popular guest at parties.

Spells:

Evna's Shock Treatment (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=227810) CLEAR!
Evna's Blood and Thunder (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=227810) The spell I named solely to amuse my friend Matt.
Water from the Rock (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=227781) I suppose I have to claim this one too.

I wouldn't say I'm an amazing creator, but I have got some stuff on the boards... you can look at my sig to find out. I'd love to join this group.
Tenzhi

05-06-04, 07:32 AM
I tend to sporadically create all of those things, but I seem to create house rules/rules variants the most (which you don't have a branch for).

Unfortunately I don't archive my creations and have lost most of them to the board-change. So the Dire Witch Hen of Friczarsov PrC and the associated Dire Chicken monster file have both been lost to the annals of time.

www.rpgcosmos.com lost its domain name and became www.custoscogitatum.com and now the site seems to have disappeared completely so the various spells I've written there as well as the 5-level Sumo class are fodder for a Sphere of Annihlation.

Anything I've apparently come up for for the Half-Elven (or any other Elven) foundation must have been created by an impostor, so they don't count.

Of course, it's all moot anyway as I don't officially join foundations even if I contribute to them. ;)

Well, count me in, I guess.

My creations (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=176454)

I've also posted a few magic items, to be found in my Matchmaker and Pixie Annoyer PrC's, and another one in the Magic Item Compendium, and a couple spells in the Spell Compendium.

I'll keep an eye on this thread if discussion about how to make better creations appears. And I think it could also work as a kind of "Help Group" where the members give feedback to each other and what not... Whaddaya say? I think it could work wonders to further the quality of the creations.

@Nightscreamer: What about world-building? Has the creation of campaign settings and the like its place here?

The artwork is awesome - I once bought a pallet and paint, thinking that drawing was something you could just "do" *feet shuffle uncomfortably* erm - after I sorta added smudges and odd shaped lumps of paint to the canvas - that not even a very vivid imagination could do anything with at all - I packed them away....*smiles*

Multiple WHAT? Prepare for final denaughtification! ;)

Seriously, though - the ideal method, methinks, would be to start a thread for each branch. Then this thread could become an index for the other threads. It would be like a Unified Creation Machine of DOOM (TM).

Orcy would like to reply to the question about posting on other boards. Yes you can, as long as you arent starting a post asking for members. @Silmarien: Count me in for the idea of a thread for playtesting. It can work wonders regarding the improvement of the creations presented here. Could you please ellaborate on how this could be handled?

@Nightscreamer: So I take it this is only geared towards classes/feats/spells etc? I may have to start a foundation devoted to world-building myself...

[GM-Voice]I've been thinking about this too. As much as I want everyone to post exclusively to Guild House (i.e. we *love your company folks*) - I don't think it is something to be forced. So - I'm with Orcy on this one.

Bottom Line - *enjoy yourselves folks* - and we'll try really hard to make your stay a wonderfully memorable one![/GM-Voice]

Nightscreamer - FANTASTIC!!!!! Those spare slots are creating antici.............pation.

Elthynn - Sil-Mr-Burns-ian says eexxcceelllent Homer! Simpson! what was it you were saying about EXPANSION!

OK - to elaborate.

First off - to our Threadkeeper. If I go outside what your ideas are for the thread - pull me up! :)

But - here are some of my thoughts about "how" to create a rich, living multi-thread, erm, entity.....

1. Look at the WONDERFUL ideas already on the thread. These items are begging to be orchestrated into something ***new***.

2. Once we work out what to build....

3. Volunteers (this isn't a forced labour camp *smiles*) might wish to develop them.

4. Then - on another, related thread - the new creature, idea, concept - goes into *combat*. We have on-line dice-rollers (see my sig) - and can trial the viability of all the new things we build. At least two posters would have to "play test" and if you all wanted a piece of the action - it could become a bigger melee.

5. Or - on yet another thread - test Role Play the new thing.

6. To make it mean something - the victors could actually get "points" for a success - and the posters with the most points - earn titles and eventually become like "Archmage of Netheril" or "Head Mage of Elven High Mages" or whatever makes you happy.

7. The whole "system" of threads would become like a D&D world of interrelated things. Importantly we wouldn't want people feeling yucky because "no-one is posting on my thread" - so we might want to think about "moving around" - some sort of "turn-taking" posting system - so that *everyone* can feel reassured that they are *all* part of a healthy team.

If we all work together - we'll all take care of each other.

This system need your trust and sense of fair-play to work.

Who's gunna speak up now - and speak their mind! PLEASE FEEL FREE TO.

My warmest regards

stavros

My warmest regards

stavros

Me likes, although I may be up to my neck in work for some time, so I'd not be able to collaborate as much as I'd like. When (if) what you suggest is finally done (for example by creating a new game thread in the RP Fora or whatever, where the new classes/races/spells/feats would be available as well as the existing material), I'll let you (that is, whoever I'm supposed to contact) know if I can help. Or contact me by PM if need be ;) Whatever.

P.S: If I can't be part of it due to the huge amounts of work that I'll be dealing with, feel free to test my creations and either post feedback on their respective threads or PM me or something...

Greetings Frank_Vinetti - your PrC's have really interesting names. I like "thug" and "club expert" as fun names ......prolly the Adept series for flavour, personally.

Does this work for d20 Modern as well?

methinks yes, very. A dice roll just isn't the same unless it is clear crystal, and has 20 sides. *smiles*

Welcome Tharsus - tell us a bit about the book here!!!

Nightscreamer - I would encourage you to actively engage thread members - plug the thread.

[gm-voice]Try PM'ing them. And Threadkeeper's "keep active" - take risks - don't see silence as a bad thing. Speak to the silence - acknowledge it. But - keep active. Half-Elven foundation woulda vanished in 20 posts if I took silence as the "end".

Threads don't die - they sometimes rest[/gm-voice]

There's an excellent basis here.

But - we don't want to make it too much like work.

Some "lightening up" would be great.

1.) My name is Thasis not tharsus
2.) The book is supposed to be compatible with any fantasy setting. It is dedicated to evil and corruption. It has some opptional rules and new Prc's, Feats, Classes, Spells, Monsters, Templetes, and other evil ideas. If you have read my actual Book of Corruption thread you will see that I have put in a Skin Grafting section. The Skin Grafter Prc will actualy be able to do more then just skin modifications. He will be able to modify the brain and organs to.

Hi there Thasis. Apologies for the spelling. Two reasons: I've just been at Faerun for the last x days writing about kARsus - and also - on Mars, there's a landmark called named Tharsus.

ecxuse ym dylsexia ;)

I spelt "Karsestone" as Karstone for over a year - read the word over 1000 times, and didn't notice!

To second point:

*yew!* (as in the positive sense) i.e. great stuff. Fully creeped me out - well done Mr Evil.

And to get the ball rolling, what about doing something with this foundation? Apart from Sil's idea about actually testing the creations presented here, maybe we could engage in something else...
For example (and I'm just throwing out some ideas), it's obvious that our beloved game lacks in certain aspects, and has imbalances (there wouldn't be any players/DM's complaining if everything was perfect), so we may as well try to fix a few things. But as not everyone is of the same mind regarding what needs to be fixed, other ideas may include a collaborative project between several foundations. The Amazing Creators Foundation, teamed with other foundations could start some projects, for example:

- Amazing Creators + Wordlbuilders + Multiverse = A Campaign Setting;

- Amazing Creators + Any (and/or all) Magic related Foundation(s) = Book of All Things Arcana;

- Amazing Creators + All-Races Foundation (and its subdivisions) = Revisioned Complete Book Of [Insert Race Here]

- Etc, etc.

Ermmm... Dunno. Over at the classes boards there are a few discussions about the Sorcerer and the Fighter, which I won't bring here as it's not the place, but it boils down to these classes lacking on the flavor department and being a tad bit weaker. Maybe create more flavorful versions, a bit buffed if need be (The ultimate Fighter & ultimate Sorcerer by Szatany are a good starting point). And then we have the Wizard, Cleric and Druid, regarded as powerhouses... Maybe the Amazing Creators could work to narrow the power gap between classes.

The same would apply to certain spells, though i'm not familiar enough with 3.0 and 3.5 problematic spells.

Just bringing up some issues that could result in benefit for the community (if lots of people complain about X, then seeing X improved would be a benefit for lots of people, right?)... Plus that's a way to get the creative juice to stat flowing and putting it to good use, ain't it?

I'd also like to join. Here's most of the things I've posted on the board so far. I think I might get around to completing my dice wyrm as well (the perfect instrument of the DM's wrath). I've been dabbling into spells and items as well but haven't really posted any yet.

Fangtail creatures (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=3287663#post3287663) - monsters spawned from nightmares of creatures. They reproduce by poisoning creatures with a nightmare inducing poison that is secreted from the fanged tail they're named after. The poisoned creature's body is eventually reconstituted as a fangtail while their mind lies within, trapped in endless nightmares.

Shrieker Abomination (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=137905) - a class like progression for turning the humble shrieker fungus into an unholy killing machine. Its an oddball idea I had after seeing a thread about how useless the shrieker actually is. It starts off being able to alter emotions, then it can release clouds of mind controlling spores, branches out to other types of spores and finally becomes physically powerful as well.

Stone Beast (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=209947) - a creature with an unimaginative name but some nifty abilities. Not only can it petrify people but it can roll up into a ball and start crushing things. Unfortunately it turned out that someone else had already posted a creature with a similar curl up ability for the contest.

Usral and Usrylach (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=46000&perpage=&pagenumber=1) - a psionic parasite I devised with metacreative powers. The usral can find a host, fuse with it and dominate it. After this it subsumes the host entirely and turns into an usrylach, which is a far nastier foe.

Thanks. The abominations were a bit of an odd idea but I'm pleased with how they worked out. The shrieker fungus isn't so weak when it can spray out mind controlling spores. I can just imagine the plot for that, the PC's investigating attacks by a new sort of monster.

Anyway, soon I'll have a moderate sized spell list completed and I'll be posting them up and put the link here. Some of them I've had ideas for are Icy Bastion, Tentacled Horror, Mercurial Armor and Quicksilver Dagger. I love teasing people with names. I'll probably have them all done within the next week or two.

I'm thinking of creating a Ice Mage Prc. I want it to be a primitive Prc coming from a neadrathal like culture. The only problem is that I don't realy know what spells to put in his spell list and what special abilities I should give to him. He can't have realy advanced magic because he's for a primitive culture (it is set in the Ice Age after all).

G'day Thasis and Ahra -

Thasis - Ice Magic hey.....hmm,

If it's "Primal" - then - it's gotta come from da gutz. As in - basic Fear or Rage reactions. Possibly "eros" or love-based in some cases.

1. Freeze Blood (of enemy)
2. Entomb Pursuer in Ice
3. Dislodge Stalagtite from ceiling.
4. Create Ice Bridge (over a stream - to cross from a pursuer).
5. Pelt with Hail
6. Thaw Ice
7. Create Ice Haven (i.e. Igloo).

whatja reckon?

Hi there Melles - I suspect our Threadkeeper is, erm in absentia.

Which means - he/she needs a gentle nudge with a PM. You'd best PM them.

Hi there Ahra - Karsus Avatar was a spell designed to subsume a deity's power into a mortal. Karsus was an Archwizard of a fabulous empire of magically floating cities.

When the ancient Ioulaum (an Archwizard around since the birth of the empire - Netheril) vanished, Karsus became afraid that Netheril was doomed. Thinking he'd be the "saviour" of Netheril - Karsus cast a great spell - and stole the Goddess of Magic's power.

But, being only mortal, and not-versed in the ways of the Goddesses of Magic, Karsus couldn't control the flows of Magical Power into Realmspace. The goddess who he stole the magic from, then sacrificed herself - severing her link to Karsus and causing Karsus's death.

Oh, Karsus, I remember him now. Well I have to admit that this spell doesn't go quite go so far as to steal all the magic in Faerun it only steals it from one enemy (who's not the goddess of magic Mystra).

Speaking of stealing magic, I've had one or two ideas for fighter-ish prestige classes - one involving the warrior becoming bound to a mage and gaining some nifty powers from it and the other is a warrior who has become addicted to magic (a bit like a reverse forsaker) and am plannig to write them up. I might go and create a spellthief prestige class too.

ive added two more creations of mine, the Nomad and Left Hand of Heavens.

Melles: the skills "twig" should also cover feats, as well as skills. although as far as skills go it should be more about other uses for existing skills

Hoy Thar Epic Scotsman - great to see you.
You're welcome aboard.

one involving the warrior becoming bound to a mage and gaining some nifty powers from it and the other is a warrior who has become addicted to magic (a bit like a reverse forsaker) and am plannig to write them up

A symbiotic relationship between a Fighter and a Mage - sorta like each other's Familiar's? In any case it's a great idea. Do you envisage them sharing and swapping powers?

Hi there Lady Ishtar - the Left Hand of the Heavens sounds interesting. I'm curious to know more about it. Is it a Wizard, or Clericy sort of thing? What powers does it have?

Left Hand of Heavens is a former evil-doer turned paladin type warrior. however should they ever return to their evil ways their soul will be destroyed by the fiends who want to punish a traitor. they can strike really fast, with huge bonuses to initiative and speed, and gain damage bonuses while charging. also they can become a holy lightning bolt to strike down forces of evil.

i am currently worknig on an evil couterpart, but other than that youll have to wait.

also i renamed Nomad to Master of the Beasts, to represent what they are about, a revised Tamer of Beasts.
Arhra

06-07-04, 05:31 AM
Yep, a bit like familiars. I do also envisage them swapping powers to a degree. I was thinking of giving the warriors an ability to store spells and also use these stored spell levels to power abilities. I was also thinking of being them able to create an effect like a shield other spell and/or giving them the ability to trade hitpoints off.

Hi there Ahra+Lady Ishtar,

I'm all for cross-class powers - where Fighters share in magery, and mages share in fightery.

With "flavour" emphases for each class. I.e. Fighters wielding Fire Swords, or wearing Armour imbued with Holy Lightning and those sorts of things.

I really like the Left Hand thing - and the Holy Lightning idea - conjures great visuals.

One of the PrC's that I built derives it's Power Source from Stardust. Casters from this order, have learned how to unlock the power of the Essence of the Universe.

I'm in the middle of developing a Meta-Temporal Spell casting system too.

Meta-Temporal Spell casting??? im curious.
Silmarien Aldalome

06-15-04, 06:34 PM
Meta-Temporal Spell Casting Systems (MTSCS) are a kind of Epic Level magic.

The idea is that four dimensions define the conventional universe. There's the three dimensions of the Prime Material Space that define a volume, and then Time as the fourth dimension.

The analogy I use to think about this: Imagine you were a 2 dimensional person in Flatland (e.g. you live on a flat piece of paper and you yourself are flat). Now - what would you see as an sphere passed through Flatland? You'd see a dot, expanding to a circle that at the maximum, was the diameter of the sphere, than you'd see a shrinking sphere that collapses to a dot and disappears.

Thus, a flat circle is the 2D image of a 3D object (when living in Flatland).

Now, we know that a Tesseract is the 3D image of a 4D object.

Add one Plane of Existence. Metatemporal spell casting operates at the 5th dimension. It's meta-time. It's that realm of spells that are subsumed into Temporal Causality loops (time travel stories).

We have some time-travel spells in Forgotten Realms as a precedent.

...the Miasma of Malevolent Spirits enters the atmosphere, an evil force from another place and time - or from another universe altogether.

The cloistering airs form screaming faces and they radiate a fellness that curdles the blood. And they stop at nothing to destory everything magical in Realmspace. They destroy towers, tomes, and every magical source they can find. They are beings of science and matter and know no magical lore - and are jealous of the powers of mortals. So the cloistering Miasma swirls about, and enters the minds of all spellcasters - altering their brain circuitry so that no-one can remember how to cast spells.....

There is despair and grief - all across Realmspace, as the New Overlords fill the power vacuum with their draconian Law....

Well sis, I need concept ideas, see, I was hoping to build some PrCs who gets several bonusses, loses some ability progression but nevertheless continues the combat prowess.

And I was wondering if it'd be too overpowered if I made it any finesseable weapon and give +1 bonus to attack rolls made with finesseable weapons (overlaps the bonus of weapon focus)?

Hey guys. Been kind of absent from the Amazing Creators for osme time but I'm back. I'm currently working on a Genocidal Warrior Prc. The idea is the Prc is like a Ranger with favored enemys. Actualy he has just one favored enemy that you choose when you become the class. All your abilities give you a bonus or advantage when combating that creature you chose. The difference with a Ranger and a Genocidal Warrior is that the Genocidal Warrior goes to an extreme and is trying to rid the earth of that paticular species of creature. Anyone have suggestions or comments?

ive added another PrC, Doom Reaver

@thasis: i would stay away from any ability that forces him to attack his hated enemy on sight. instead make him a cold and calculating killing machine always in control of himself. perhaps give him ability to become invisible, but only to those that are his hated enemy: they can hear him coming, but cant see him. just an idea.

Hey there Kedster - looks like you've been really busy. Hmm - ...The onslaught of the Dark Armies brings more than just stench and ruin, they bring collective force of the Dark Will. The Black plate of their fell armour clinks in the night and the eyes of the Enemy bear upon you. They are fell and the pallid flesh radiates an anathema to life. For their swords are not merely metal, and the blows of their sword arms carry more than the force of one arm. The Dark Warriors are attuned to the Dark Lords Will - and this grants them a power far beyond the ken of the normal warrior....

There ya go Kedster - maybe there's an idea or two in that one for you.

Hi there Thasis - we had a Poster here who created an artifact called the something of 1000 broken dreams. The core idea was not that unlike what you're suggesting (compulsive slaying). The artifact was at Forgotten Realms on the Spell-Magic forum. It may still be there.

Hi there Lady Ishtar - great stuff. I like it.

Sweet! This is a great idea!

I'd like to join the Class Branch.

King of Evil's Prestige Classes

The Eight Generals (Unfinished)
The BLADE LORD (http://http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=195432) is a warrior class emphasizing agility, mobility, and accurate strikes over armor and defense. Inspired by Lyn and Guy from Fire Emblem, as well as Hibiki from Samurai Shodown. Strike!
The Manji Lord (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=282989) is a prestige class inspired by Yoshimitsu from Tekken / Soul Calibur. Get the deathcopters out boys, the Manji Lord's ready to Seppuku!
The Soul Lord (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=291561) is a prestige class partially based upon Nightmare from Soul Calibur, but it's pretty general. Soul Charge today!
The General of the Chained Axe (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=295906) is the long awaited prestige classes for warriors in heavy armor with axes. Toss your axe at foes and pull it back to you, or wrap them up and pull them back to you!

Other Prestige Classes
The GUNBLADE (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=45849) is a class inspired from Squall and Seifer from Final Fantasy VIII (FF8). Slash and bash your way to victory! Created in part with Unholydragoon.

Current Prestige Class Projects (Unfinished, unposted)
The CHAINED AXE LORD is a prestige class that I'm keeping mostly secret, aside from the name. The mechanics are difficult to do, and I'm having a hard time balancing it, but it's interesting.
The Spellfist Legionnaire is a prestige class designed for Wizards/Monks (Maybe Sorceror/Monks as well) that will provide unique abilities.
The Psyonik (Tentative name) is a prestige class designed to make psionics unique. In it's campaign, psionics are nearly extinct, and very unique, rather than just a "spellcaster".

You may be wondering what's with all the "Lords". There is a series of eight PrCs I'm doing, based in part on my new upcoming campaign. Each Lord PrC is based off of a historical (in game, not in real life) character who helped defeat the great evil (it's cliché, so far). Each one of these characters is one of the eight "generals", and each has a prestige class based off of that general. You won't need to know anything about the other Lords to use them though.

My major project is obviously the Final Fantasy Campaign Setting / Final Fantasy d20 (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=45835). I've done several of the classes for that, and I'm the Benevolent Dictator. ;) Check it out.

Edit One (July 27th, 2004)
Moved the Manji Lord from projects to completed PrCs! Check it out!

Edit Two (August 13th, 04)

The Raikou Buke - A lightning fast swordsman in light armor.

The Herald of the Damned - Evil version of my Caller prc.

The Rebar Samurai - Beats people with rebar, what more can I say?

The Behemoth - Based off Astaroth from Soul Calibur II.

The Darksteel Samurai - Evil Samurai.

The Somnolent Veteran - A capstone PrC for all my military PrCs.

The Ancestral Blade - Gains the powers of his ancestors through a special keepsake. No ancestral weapons.

The Dwarven Bear Rider - A Dwarf riding a Bear.

The Modular PrC - A strange one, any core class can take it and it does different things for each. Basically it's 5 generic PrCs rolled up into one.

The Stratomancer - A spellcaster who controls most every aspect of the weather.

So is this scarier than my last update?

Three new spells: Special Counterspells (http://boards1.wizards.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=20)

Basically, they are three new spells that intent to bring a different style to what counterspelling is.

Well, wasn't that upgrade fun? I just spent about 30 minutes re-linking my PrCs.

On that note, I've finally compiled them all into once place, which can be found here. The link can also be found in my sig.

P.S. - I'm still listed in the monstrous branch.

I'm going to play my psionicist tonight in a campaign. And - that picture on your Telepath PrC is fantastic.

Very nice work!

Here is my most recent item, the Lantern of Many Cones (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=295801). This otherwise ordinary bullseye lantern is capable of generating a variety of magical cones, depending on what is placed inside of it.

Klaus, very cool. I've also had a brief look at the Counterspell stuff. Nice.

King and Thasis - hi there and ditto.

Uhh, guys, I think we've been abandoned...
Epic's still in the Monstrous Branch, and Nightscreamer (the thread creator) hasn't edited the name listings since May, is it? 06-20-04. So unless there's a 20th month, this hasn't been updated since May.
Anybody want to take up the task of reposting it? I'll do it if nobody else will (it's a great idea) but I don't think I have the time to properly run something like this with all my other work.

Yes - a percentage of all Foundation threadkeepers vanish. New arrivals are usually inspired and impulsive. Then the trajectory of posters forks. Some enjoy the challenge of fostering a long-term posting community, some become annoyed, some succumb to self-doubt, some just shift motivation.

I think it's a *great idea* for you to do it. Please take the helm. A Foundation Threadkeeper who visits her thread about once a week is a good threadkeeper. One who visits about 3 times/week is exemplary.

This thread has a bucket of ideas and we're cutting some "interaction" or "confluence" threads shortly. Think like frat houses having cross-campus games, but with Foundations.

I'm going to (with consultation) cut some "interaction" or "confluence rules" and standards for scoring competitions (a-la Olympic Games judging, of say, diving).

Alright then, I'll try my best to threadkeep... hope this doesn't interfere with FFCS time, I don't get enough 'net time as is. Nevertheless, a little later tonight I'll post a new Amazing Creator's Foundation. It'll be in the same spirit (branches and such) as the original, but with a (hopefully) more active threadkeeper. So everybody, venture over to there should you feel the need! I'll post a link here once it's done in this post (so I don't drag this up from lower)

It's up. Check the first page, near the top (under stickies)
Everybody, please repost your creation page there (don't link to it) and I'll edit you in ASAP!

Well, my monster creation thread has churned out another monster. The murkwyre (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?p=4416051#post4416051), a seal-like sea creature that blends with the sea.

You should sign up with the newer AMazing Creators... oddly, the one without [New] in the title, the one I started. This one is basically dead.

Oh, that explains much.
