The Beholder Foundation [Archive] - Wizards Community

Welcome fellow pronegy of the Void.

We are the Tyrants. We have been chosen by our creator, the Void, to rule over the lesser beings. We chose our own path, but we all have one goal. Thank you for coming.

I have founded the Beholder Foundation to discuss one of my favorite monsters. This thread is for the augmentation, revision, and overall discussion of these magnificent creatures. I am the founder of this thread, so thus, my position would be Sovereign of the First Eye. There are many positions to fill in this foundation, and you may be members of any of the nine Beholder dominions.

The First Eye, the Poisoned Eye, the Eternal Vigil, the Consuming Eye, the Final Forge, the Watching Wheel, the Flesh Reborn, Revelations, and Enigma.

When you join, chose your dominion and title. Here is what the Dominion specializations are.

The First Eye is the first beholder dominion, the original beholders. They are the administrative people and the threadkeepers, and are also those based on just alking about beholders.

The Poisoned Eye are the paragons of hatred and cruelty. They discuss the combat of the beholders and various ways of slaughter.

The Eternal Vigil are the watchers, the paranoid ones within the beholders. The Eternal Vigil are also our "relations" department, and focus on discussion of beholders in relation to other races and monsters, and other Foundations.

The Consuming Eye is the greed and collectors within the beholders. They discuss Beholder magic items and specially bred slave races that the beholders utilize.

The Final Forge are the perfectors, the manipulators of humanoid soceity. They discuss beholder soceity, and also ways to create the perfect soceity in the eyes of the Void.

The Watching Wheel are the inquisitors, the questioners, the curious. They ask questions the other dominions are afraid to ask. Random or not, they also are the answerers of questions from other foundations.

The Flesh Reborn are the reshapers, the splicers and rebuilders of the beholder body. They are the department based on discussion of beholder subspecies, abberants, and creations.

The Revelation is the dominion with all teh answers. They focus on the mystical side of the beholders, discussing spells, magic, and psionics within the race.

The Enigma is the strangest of all, the most unknown of all the dominions. This dominion discusses roleplaying within the beholder race, and how to play beholders as an actual race, helping those who would like to add beholder elements to their campaigns.

08-04-04, 12:49 AM As much as I like beholders, I've only got one who's a favoured PC/NPC. He's a Beholder Mage named Xaos who spends the majority of his time these days hanging out in bars in the Sigil.

08-06-04, 10:33 PM I like your idea!!! I think i'll join. My title will be Varg' Uhun of the Final Forge. About layers... I think that beholders should create towers and live there. They stay at the top. There will be one window on each side of the tower at the top were they shoot there magical rays out. Good idea ay!!!
