08-20-04, 06:11 PM I welcome you traveler to my humble home. Its not much but its what i have. I am Thorbadin, A retired Champion of Pelor. If you want I can share some of my tales from my youth.

10-15-04, 08:51 AM A blue-robed woman strides up to the doors of the Halls of Pelor and incants. The doors swing open, and slam against the walls of the keep. She sees the exchange between the Lord of the Keep and the Lightman. She narrows her eyes as she clenches her jaws - clutching the Runestaff - she locks eyes first with you before momentarily averting her gaze, turning her stare then to the universe above, and its canopy of stars.

It is vast. Unfathomably vast - moreso than any single word or artifact of language can grasp. She chants over the staff summoning,the lore of the Pereldar Bluefire. A pulse of magical fire surges around her body, immolating the staff - and is then released into the heavens.

She turns her gaze back at *you* and her green eyes flare to life with magical fires. She says "what makes you think that there is any such thing as an unworthy cause?" she shifts her gait slightly, smiling before adding "words are best used to find kinship or solace. They serve us when they are used to mend, not rend." She releases another surge of bluefire and says

"LIGHTMAN" she is smiling "when he battle is poised on the knife's edge, and where, on each side stands 10,000 friend and on the other 10,000 foe - it will be only the One of the House of Pelor who will tip the battle - and leave a new High King on the Throne. All is not as it seems.

She turns to Thasis - smiling and says "know your worth. Find it in the vaults of the world within, succumb to none, recall your Wyrding and stand strong. Naught else matters.

10-15-04, 09:34 AM I just don't see the point of this thread. There will be no action, no nothing. The most it can do is be a RPing thread. What do we RP about. Pretty much nothing. If you think that this Guild has potentional I'll keep it up but, I don't know.

Nonsense.

I didn't step in for nothing you know. Likely, it won't initially have much activity. But - as I said - it has potential for a number of class, PrC, skill, or feat progressions. It's a place, I think, where all sorts of things could happen. Such as the convening of a faction of paladins, rangers, or even evil variants of these. Disaffected splinter groups from other classes.

With distinct PrC options.

We must welcome Lightman - and not be put off by a few grizzles.

I'm serious when I say that in politics, it's the Independent candidates, who sometimes hold the balance of power, depending on the composition of the Senate (here in Oz, we have the Upper and Lower Houses of parliament - sometimes called the Senate and House of Representatives).

Through several terms of Government, it is quite possible, when the preferred and shadow parties are nigh evenly split, for the independent to literally, decide the fate of the Lands.

....Sil grins. She looks at the motly crew of Pelor with hands on hips. She furrows her brow as she sweeps her gaze over their Keep. She wonders to herself, how they will influence the lands. For one thing is certain, oft, the sword arm of One - has altered the course of history. This much she knows to be true.

She turns her attention back to "thasis" and Lightman and barks "come forth and declare your fealty - of what kind are you. Name your weapons of choice and allies!

10-17-04, 05:20 PM I am a ex-blackgaurd who turned palidin when I relized that being evil isn't all that it's cracked up to be. I joined a priesthood to repent my sins. As I got older I joined the Elite Warriors of Pelor, the Palidins. I then worked my way up the higharchy. I then went and created this church. Thats were you come in. My favored weapon is the Great Axe. I have used my trusty Great Axe for years. For allies, Its anyone who want to join me in the fight against evil, Including the Guild of Pure Good.

"I see" she says, studying the person before her with caution. "Surely one of the Redeemed would add to the strength of Good". She looks at you and says interrogatively - "what god do you worship?"

Hi thasis (BTW, what does 'thasis' mean)

Is this a standard Paladin? Or do you got special features or draw on a particular PrC.

Anyway I worship Pelor with my good characters and either Venca or Nerull for the bad guys.

What are the Champions of Pelor about, in terms of PrC or class progression, thasis? Are they in-code - or do ya wanna build?

10-18-04, 06:11 PM I honestly don't know. I just thought up the idea Champions of Pelor. I was bored and tired at the time so I just went up to the boards and posted this guild. I wasn't using any thinking realy. It was actualy kinnda based of a long-dead prc I created called the Champion of Pelor. I ended up shreding it. I would redo it if it had any possibilities. We could have that as are current guild project. To build the Champion of Pelor class. Or we can make a series of classes that work for pelor. Like Pelors Inquisiter, Pelors Conversion Master, ect.

Also, there is a long history to thasis. I just made the description of Thasis as short as possible. If I have alot of time on my hands I could post the entire history of Thasis in the place were we're posting characters. Or maybe I could post it on the Fantasy D20 boards. I don't know.

10-28-04, 12:52 AM A Champion of Pelor would always be kind and compassionate, and he would not hesitate to fight evil. I think this is a good idea, and you should run with the idea. A handful of people is enough to make a good foundation, and I'm willing to help out. Don't quit just because there's not so much activity right from the get-go. This foundation will gather some support in time.

On the Champion of Pelor Prc: My thoughts are High Base Attack, Low Ref and Will, High Fort. Able to cast a small amount of Divine Spells. For special abilities: Well at some level we should make it so he starts getting some Angelic Features and his creature type becomes outsider.Thats all I can think of right now.

That'd make it a pretty epic PrC. I don't really want it to be epic, I just want it be a regular PrC, so that we can use it in the guild wars.

It should have some special abilities pertaining to destroying evil and pertaining to light and the sun (since Pelor is the God of the Sun).
