Light and Medium Armor and all Shields (but not tower Shields). Meldshaping: A secondary ability to your Cobalt Weapom, Meldshaping is nonetheless important to any Cobalt Warrior The DC for a saving throw against a Cobalt Warrior Soulmeld is 10 + number of points of Essentia invested + Con Mod. You may shape only a certain amount of soulmelds per day, as described on the Medium Meldshaper Progression, above. The maximum number of soulmelds you can have shaped simultaneously is equal to the number on the table or your Con score - 10, whichever is lower. At first level you also gain access to your personal pool of Essentia, which can be invested as you wish, following normal rules for Essentia Investment as described on pages 19-20 and 50 of MoI. A Cobalt Warriordoes not study or prepare soulmelds in advance, but musthave a good night's rest and must enter a meditative combat practice for one hour in orderto shape his soulmelds for the day. Chakra Binds: At fifth level, a Cobalt Warrior may bind a number of soulmelds to his chakra (see Chakras, page 50 MoI). The number of chakra binds you can haveat aby one time depend on your level (See medium Progression, above). At 5th level, you may bind a soulmeld to your crown chakra. At 6th level, you can bind to your hand and feet chakra, At 11th level, to your Lesser, at 16th to your greater, at 18th to your Heart and aty 20th to your soul chakra. For more information on Chakra Binds, see page 51 of MoI. Cobalt Weapon (SU): You bind a weapon to your soul. It glows a faint blue. If it is removed from your possession unwillingly, you may use a move action to return it to your position, which does not provoke an attack of opportunity, as long as it is on the same plane as you are. You may only have one soulweapon ata time; attuning a new soulweapon takes 24 hours and 400 GP in incense or other sacrifices. The weapon being bound cannot be magically Enhanced, but it can be masterwork. It must be a physical melee weapon. Bonus Feats: At 1st, 5th, 9th, 13th, and 17th levels, a Cobalt Warrior gains a bonus feat from the following list. You must meet all prerequisites. Greater Retrieval, Legendary Retrieval, Dual Cobalt Weapon, Double Cobalt Weapon, Improved Dual Cobalt Weapon, Greater Dual Cobalt Weapon, Improved Double Cobalt Weapon, Azure Toughness, Cerulean Fortitude, Cerulean Reflexes, Cerulean Will, Cobalt Charge, Cobalt Critical, Midnight Dodge, Sapphire Sprint Cobalt Strike (SU): (Treated as a feat for the purpose of Essentia investment) A number of times per day equal to the amount of Essentia invested, an attack you make with your Cobalt Weapon does an additional +1d6 points of Damage, +1d6 per essentia invested. You must declare an attack a Cobalt Strike before rollong to hit. Enhanced Cobalt Weapon (SU): (ENHANCEMENT Investment Cap / ABILITY Investment Cap) (Treated as a feat for the purposes of Essentia Investment) At fourth level, By investing Essentia in this ability, you can give your Cobalt Weapon an Enhancement Bonus, Up to the cap listed on the table, For 1 essentia = +1 Enhancement Bonus. At sixth level, you may also invest essentia up to the second listed cap, improving your Cobalt Weapon with a Magical Property from the Table Below, For 1 Essentia = +1 Ability Enhancement. Normal Essentia Caps do not apply to this Ability; This Class feature essentially has to investment pools. Reconfiguring (i.e., choosing a new enhancement), takes 24 hours and costs 400 GP in materials. Ability Bonus Soulbound +1 Bane +1 Flaming +1 Frost +1 Shock +1 Caustic +1 Ghost Touch +1 Keen +1 Mighty Cleaving +1 Returning +1 Throwing +1 Anarchic (must be chaotic) +2 Axiomatic (must be lawful) +2 Holy (must be good) +2 Unholy (must be evil) +2 Flaming Burst +2 Icy Burst +2 Shocking Burst +2 Acidic Burst +2 Dancing +4 Reforging (SU): By holding all of the pieces of a broken Cobalt Weapon together, thy can fix themselves. This process takes one hour and a sacrifice of 100 GP. The Weapon’s Hit Points are restored. Intelligence (EX): at 7th level, the Cobalt Weapon is imbued with intelligence and becomes a weapon familiar, as on page 131 of Races of Eberron Soulmelds Crown Diadem of Purelight Soulspark Familiar Soulspeaker Circlet Feet Acrobat Boots Airstep Sandals Impulse Boots Thunderstep Boots Hands Bloodwar Guantlets Lightning Guantlets Arms Bloodwar Guantlets Bluesteel Bracers Incarnate Weapon Brow Planar Chausable Soulspark Familiar Fearsome Mask Shoulders Adamant Pauldrons Mantle of Flame Pauldrons of Health Wind Cloak Throat Apparition Ribbon Dissolving Spittle Soulspark Familiar Soulspeaker Circlet Waist Flame Cincture Vitality Belt Heart of Fire Heart Spellward Shirt Soul Fellmist Robe Planar Chausable Greater Retrieval Prerequisites: Cobalt Weapon class feature, Dex 15 Benefit: You may retrieve your Cobalt Weapon as a swift action. | Siberys11-22-05, 04:31 PM | Dangit. I didn't want to have to, but :bump: |
| Saros11-30-05, 12:06 AM | I'll join, though I admit I don't know much about how these Guilds work. |
| Siberys03-24-06, 05:22 PM | Sorry for the long haitus. This Thread really needs a :bump: |
| thasis03-25-06, 05:30 AM | I like Magic of Incarnum so I'll join for the hell of it. I'm only active for short periods of time throughout the day though. |
| turalisj03-26-06, 01:45 PM | I'm joining. I think I'll have three characters, a psion, and incarnate, and a sorcerer. I just got the spell compendium yesterday so..... |
| Siberys03-27-06, 07:59 PM | I Should explain joining - It's my fault, I left it overly vague. I'll put an explanation on the post with the list. |
| turalisj03-27-06, 09:41 PM | Ok.... Vinko (the name of my ewok jedi >.>) The Azure Blade, cg soulborn5/spinemeld warrior |
| thasis03-31-06, 02:11 AM | Thasis the Red (Elf Incarnate 7/ Necrocarnate 3). RP Color = Dark Red. |
| Siberys04-10-06, 05:57 PM | Sorry for the Haitus again - I moved... When I have the time, I'll update things. Cheers, § Siberys |
| sir_dwar04-20-06, 09:21 PM | I'm in.... I am now- sir_dwar, Psion of the Azure Mist! He is a CG Half-Elf Soulborn5 /Kinetiscist5. Oh yah, and my rp color is green As you enter the guildhouse coated in a goldlike material, A half-elf with pale brown hair and glowing green eys aproaches you. He says "Welcome to the Cobalt Council. I am sir_dwar, Psion of the Azure Mist." |
| Saros04-22-06, 09:23 PM | As I stated in my previous post, which, admittedly, was made quite a long time ago, I'm willing to join. I shall take on the persona of Banund Ivora the Midnight Shadow, an azurin ninja with access to incarnum through various feats and items. I've got plenty of ideas for new melds and classes, though, until now, there hasn't been anywhere to have them checked over. For color, I'll take royal blue. Background and character sheet pending. By the way, Siberys, we're allowed characters up to an ECL of 15, I believe, though if you have a reason for limiting it to 10 that's fine too. |
| Saros04-22-06, 10:11 PM | Here are some melds I've found throughout the boards. They aren't mine, but I thought I'd mention them. Hoarfrost Girdle (http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=8444771&postcount=41) Torc of Flame and Inspired Weapon (http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=8057335&postcount=14) Soulsinger's Necklace (http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=8060463&postcount=20) Here's one of mine, though: Incarnate Armor Descriptors: Chaotic, evil, good, or lawful Classes: Incarnate Chakra: Brow Saving Throw: None Burnished armor surrounds you, its shining metal a complete embodiment of your alignment – a twinkling silver for good, brilliant gold for law, dead black for evil, and sky blue for chaos. The armor seems to hover a small distance from your body, allowing freedom of movement and hindering you not a whit. Your incarnate armor grants you a +2 armor bonus to your armor class. As always, this bonus does not stack with armor bonus from a different source (such as actual armor you might be wearing). If you have another bonus, the higher bonus applies. This soulmeld has no maximum Dexterity bonus, armor check penalty, or arcane spell failure. It is treated as light armor for the purpose of determining your speed and adjudicating class features dependent on armor. Essentia: For every point of essentia you invest in your incarnate armor, the armor bonus granted by the soulmeld improves by 1. Chakra Bind (Brow) When you activate your incarnum radiance, the glow around you seems stronger. The bonus granted by your incarnum radiance class feature increases by 1. (Or 10 feet, in the case of chaos incarnates.) |
| thasis04-23-06, 04:10 AM | I like your power. It'd be more useful to Wizards and Sorcerers then anything so if you have a Wizard/Incarnate build then it'd be rad. The Chakra Bind seems kinnda bland though... |
| Saros04-23-06, 06:25 PM | Maybe, but it fits, it's balanced, and it can be pretty useful. |
| Saros04-27-06, 10:54 PM | Um . . . Is anyone here? The thread is pretty quiet . . . |
| thasis04-28-06, 03:00 AM | I'm hear. Mainly drifting around the guilds I founded though. |
| sir_dwar05-04-06, 08:54 PM | I'm back! Hmm, my friend and I are considering a coutl based soulmeld, but not sure what it would do. I'll edit my post when we finish it. "A close friend of mine is meditating on the idea of developing a new soulmeld connected to the coutals. I will explain more once he is finished" The half-elf speaks, putting a hand through his flaming red hair. |
| thasis05-04-06, 10:52 PM | A cloaked figure with black skin and white hair sits in the back. His face is shrouded by the darkness, but his long hair flows out of his hood, "This could be intressting. The Guild of Ultimate Evil will be intressted in your productions" |
| Saros05-05-06, 05:10 PM | I'm working on some new races and a vivicarnate PrC. Entering Pentifax Hall from one of the many doors leading farther into the guildhouse of the Cobalt Council, a young man dressed in loose-fitting deep blue vest, shirt and breeches moves towards the others. His eyes glow with the light that marks an azurin, and his body is surrounded by flickering blue flames that never seem to advance farther than a few inches beyond his skin. Leaning up against a wall, he looks with interest upon the other members of the guild, and this newcomer from another organization. |
| Siberys05-06-06, 02:11 PM | Yeah, sorry again for how quiet I've been. We moved and don't have internet access anymore, and won't for a while. Eventually, though, I'll be able to devote more time to this thread. At least it seems to be catching on! § Siberys |
| thasis05-07-06, 09:06 PM | The figure from the other guild looks at this newcommer, "Do I catch your attention? If so tell me what you want, or stop staring at me" |
| Saros05-07-06, 09:31 PM | The figure in blue smiles. "I only wondered why the Guild of Ultimate Evil would think our products would come to them so freely. Incarnum research is not cheap." |
| thasis05-07-06, 10:32 PM | "The Guild of Ultimate Evil does not have time for sniviling weaklings who refuse to devulge their information. If the guild refuses to devulge information that we find intressting, which we doubt it will do because as far as I know the Cobalt Council and the Guild of Ultimate Evil are not on hostile terms, we will take it by force. Do not question the strength of the Guild. We are at the momment the most active guild with the most active bodies, we can crush all who oppose us. Now I did not intend my presence here to become a conflict. Now let me be" I love playing evil characters :D |
| sir_dwar05-20-06, 12:46 PM | I have heard word of a new method necrocarnates have discovered to infuse themselves with power. I have heard the vivicarnates have a similar method, adn also posess the ability to call a soul back intio a corpse for a time Explanation-I'm working on a necrocarnum lich, a vivcarnum "lich" (not actually a lich) and some vivicarnum "zombies". However, you will need the ECS or BOED to use the vivicarnum stuff since I'm using the deathless type. |
| sir_dwar05-20-06, 12:51 PM | Do not underestimate the chances of the psionics guild coming to our aid, for many psions regard meldshapers as kindred spirits. Not kidding, at least a few of the psi-board regulars are incarnum fans. Also, my coutal soulmeld will likeley have the good descriptor, so don't expect the guild of ultimate evil to get much out of it. |
| thasis05-20-06, 03:23 PM | The GoUE can get the evil out of good (with slight modifications) ;) |
| Saros05-20-06, 05:30 PM | I've made some alterations to the incarnate armor soulmeld, hopefully making it more practical. Incarnate Armor Descriptors: Chaotic, evil, good, or lawful Classes: Incarnate Chakra: Shoulders Saving Throw: None Burnished armor surrounds you, its shining metal a complete embodiment of your alignment – a twinkling silver for good, brilliant gold for law, dead black for evil, and sky blue for chaos. Chakra Bind (Shoulders) The armor plates solidify around your body, protecting your vital spots and granting you even greater protection. Your incarnate armor grants you protection from physical attacks. Whenever a critical hit or sneak attack is scored on you, there is a 25% chance that the critical hit or sneak attack is negated and the damage is instead rolled normally. In addition, you gain damage reduction equal to the number of points of essentia invested in this soulmeld. This damage reduction is bypassed only by attacks of an alignment opposed to that of your incarnate cause (good, evil, chaos, or law). Thus, if you invest 3 points of essentia in this soulmeld and you are a good incarnate, you gain damage reduction 3/evil. |
| Siberys06-01-06, 04:01 PM | Glad to see discussion picking up. Good thing that vivicarnum is coming along! again, I don't have much computer access, but when I do, things should pick up a bit more Cheers, § Siberys |
| thasis06-01-06, 08:06 PM | I wish there was more activity in this place. It has such potentional. |
| thasis07-04-06, 02:37 PM | Well here's a quick :BUMP: And some new stuff I designed: Of Necrocarnum and Evil... (http://boards.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=663796) |
