| The Ethereal Wickerman02-14-05, 04:45 PM | [Terrane, Sage Of Terror] "I've seen human faced monsters lash out at me with alarming speed, i've seen hairless twitching beasts devouring anomalous corpses. I've bore witness to monsters who would make the minds of most snap, or beings with forms so alien that they bewilder those that behold it and then tear out their eyes. I've seen things that made me physically and mentally sick. Never speak to me of terror until you have seen what I have..." Welcome. This foundation is those among you who want to make the most disgusting, horrific and evil monsters ever. Are you a fan of the Far Realms and its inhabitants?, are you fond of the Libris Mortis style undead?, or perhaps (like me) you are just inclined towards to heavily surreal nightmares and thoughts. Got a monster you'd like to share, or perhaps just a lot of evil ideas, then post away and i'll make you a member. Feel free to have an RP title for use on this foundation, like Terrane above. I'll be posting the most depraved, evil and surreal monsters I can create, i'll run contests and aid you with any ideas you might have. I think i've pretty much explained myself. Let the terror begin... +MEMBER LIST+ The Ethereal Wickerman - Founder thasis - #1 The Vorpal Tribble - #2 |
| The Ethereal Wickerman02-14-05, 04:52 PM | [Terrance] "These beasts understand nothing but slaughter. Not even the most savage of men can compete with their ferocity." Before I post any new monsters, heres a repost of my most recent creations. I think they are suitable for this thread... APHERAXI Large Aberration Hit Dice: 9d8+36 (76 hp) Initiative: +8 (+8 Dex) Speed: 60 ft. (12 squares), climb 40 ft. (8 squares) Armor Class: 19 (-1 size, +8 Dex, +2 natural), touch 17, flat-footed 11 Base Attack/Grapple: +6/+13 Attack: Bastard sword +8 melee (1d10 +3) Full Attack: Bastard sword +8/+3 melee (1d10 +3) Space/Reach: 10 ft./10 ft. Special Attacks: Frightful presence, crimson fountain, terrifying scream Special Qualities: Darkvision 60ft., i see you, absorb colour, color bane Saves: Fort +7, Ref +11, Will +9 Abilities: Str 17, Dex 26, Con 19, Int 13, Wis 16, Cha 13 Skills: Hide +4, Intimidate +11, Jump +15, Listen +5, Spot +5, Tumble +20 Feats: Acrobatic, Alertness, Cleave, Power Attack Environment: Any land or underground Organization: Solitary, Murder (2), Ambush (2-5), or Massacre (5-20 plus 5-10 Wulferexi) ________________________________________ ___________________ Challenge Rating: 9 Treasure: None Alignment: Always chaotic evil Advancement: 10-18 HD (Large); 19-27 HD (Huge) Level Adjustment: - Dressed in ragged yet once formal clothing stands a being whose very presence seems to be draining the colour from the enviroment, including yourselves. It weilds a shining katana in one of its bony hands and has long, straight black hair obscuring its face. It suddenly looks up and its hair parts slightly without the creature even touching it. A single unblinking eye peers through at you as it raises its blade to your face. You just about dodge its unnaturally rapid attack and then the creature starts to retreat, yet still it manages to gaze at you. It has its back turned towards a wall and you assume it has no escape. However its arms and legs make painful snapping noises as they swivel all the way round in their sockets. It starts to climb the wall, even though its torso and head are still facing you, and lets out a scream that sounds like a girl being slaughtered... Apheraxi are a force of destructive terror. They seem to understand nothing but death and see any being other than the Wulferexi as enemies. Age, gender or creed mean nothing to them, all in their path will be massacred. Apheraxi (like their Wulferexi kin) have the ability to absorb the colour from their surroundings. Many sages believe they are from a universe of terror, perhaps inhabitants of a particulary vile layer of the Far Realms. It is widely believed that they can only exist in a black and white world, as colors appear to harm them. Those who have survived their attacks have claimed that magical colors harm them in the same way sunlight harms vampires. Unlike vampires however, the Apheraxi have far greater protection. Perhaps one of their most terrifying aspects is the fact they never speak, infact the only sound they've ever been known to make are distorted breathing noises, and a terrifying scream that many compare to the sounds of their female victims. Their methods of escape are just as vile, if they want to scale and surface their arms and legs twist around in their sockets. That way an Apheraxi's knees and hands are behind itself whilst it's still facing and watching you. The only colour the Aphereaxi seem to be able to tolerate (though thrive in seems more appropiate) is blood red, the crimson river that runs through us all. In their world it is the only natural color that shows. Their unnatural speed and precision in combat leave nothing but dismembered limbs and pools of gore in their wake. They speak no languages that anyone knows of, nor seem to understand others. COMBAT Apheraxi have no tactics. They fuction as individuals even when in groups. They dont fight over spoils, they simply move onto the nearest living thing they can find. Even they can get hurt however, so they will retreat for a few moments by scaling surfaces in their own horrible way. Frightful Presence (Ex): Whenever an opponent is within 30 foot of an Apheraxi, they must make a Will save (DC 18) or become panicked for the next 5d6 rounds. This ability affects only opponents with fewer Hit Dice than the Apheraxi has. An opponent that succeeds on the saving throw is immune to that same Apheraxi's frightful presence for 24 hours. Frightful presence is a mind-affecting fear effect. Crimson Fountain (Su): When an Apheraxi makes a charge and sucessfully hits an opponent, the opponent must make a reflex save (DC 18) or suffer losing a limb and having their blood erupt from their wounds in a ferocious fountain of blood. Until the opponent is stabilized or healed he'll continue to lose 1d10 HP every round. Terrifying Scream (Su): Once every 5 rounds an Apheraxi can realease a terrifying sonic attack. An opponent that succeeds on the saving throw is immune to that same Apheraxi's terrifying scream for 24 hours. This is a mind-affecting, sonic effect. It takes a while for the horror of the sound to leave ones mind, so those exposed to it become somewhat absent-minded out of fear. I See You (Su): When an Apheraxi spots a single opponent, it may choose to concentrate its efforts on it. As a free-action it gains a temporary +20 spot and search bonus against that particular opponent. The effect can only end if the Apheraxi decides to stop (again a free-action) or is attacked, suffers and accident, or is otherwise distracted. Absorb Color (Su): Everything within 100 foot of an Apheraxi loses its color, similar to how a Dwarve see's when using Darkvision. Other than making colors harder to discern, this affects nothing. Color Bane (Su): If an opponent use's the spell colorspray through any means (eg. being a spellcaster, through a scroll or a supernatural ability) any Apheraxi within 30 feet suffers 2d10+ spellcasters level damage. WULFEREXI Huge Aberration Hit Dice: 15d8+150 (217 hp) Initiative: +1 (+1 Dex) Speed: 20 ft. (4 squares) Armor Class: 16 (-2 size, +1 Dex, +7 natural), touch 9, flat-footed 15 Base Attack/Grapple: +11/+30 Attack: Huge Heavy Mace +20 melee (2d8 +11) Full Attack: Huge club +20/+15/+10 melee (2d8 +11) or bite +20 melee (2d6 +5) Space/Reach: 15 ft./15 ft. Special Attacks: Frightful presence, primal roar Special Qualities: Darkvision 60ft., scent, smell your fear, absorb colour, color bane Saves: Fort +15, Ref +6, Will +11 Abilities: Str 33, Dex 13, Con 30, Int 11, Wis 15, Cha 5 Skills: Concentration +20, Intimidate +7, Jump +15, Listen +12, Spot +2 Feats: Alertness, Awesome Blow, Endurance, Improved Bull Rush, Power Attack, Track Environment: Any land or underground Organization: Solitary, Murder (2), Ambush (2-5), or Massacre (5-10 plus 5-20 Apheraxi) ________________________________________ ___________________ Challenge Rating: 16 Treasure: None Alignment: Always chaotic evil Advancement: 16-30 HD (Huge); 31-45 HD (Gargantuan) Level Adjustment: - Wearing torn and tattered clothes that may have once been formal, a truly huge humanoid stands before you. Its frame is lanky and lean and its extremities long. All of the colors of world surrounding it are rapidly fading away, including your skin and clothes. Its emiting a horrible noise like pack of wolves tearing apart its prey, as its head thrashes around so rapidly that the only feature you can make out is the occasional flash of teeth. This is made even worse by the fact its body doesn't match its alarmingly alacritic head, as it shambles lethargically towards you. It wields a huge rusty crowbar in its hands which it is dragging along the ground and making a horrible, metallic scraping noises. It suddenly stops in its tracks and its head instantly stops thrashing, revealing a head of rotting dog. It sniffs the air then lets out a bellowing roar. Then without warning the moment its face begins to thrash again it picks up pace, swinging its crowbar like an animal. Wulferexi are the next level of horrific power that are the Apheraxi. Their behaviour is just as (if not more) imcomprehensible as their smaller brethren. If they aren't any more alien in nature, they are certainly more abominable. Not only are they far bigger and stronger than the Apheraxi, but they seem to be able to track down their prey over huge distances. Very little except the whim of the beast itself or powerful enchantments will distract it enough to lose its scent. Wulferexi (like their Apheraxi kin) have the ability to absorb the colour from their surroundings. Unlike vampires however, the Wulferexi have far greater protection. Perhaps one of their most terrifying aspects is the fact they never speak, infact the only sound they've ever been known to make are distorted animal noises like a pack of rabid dogs feeding of a still-living human, and a bellowing roar that many believe would burst the blood vessals of a normal being. The only colour the Wulferexi seem to be able to tolerate (though thrive in seems more appropiate) is blood red, the crimson river that runs through us all. In their world it is the only natural color that shows. Their unnatural strength and wrath in combat leave nothing but crushed carcasse's and pools of gore in their wake. They speak no languages that anyone knows of, nor seem to understand others. COMBAT Wulferexi have no tactics. They fuction as individuals even when in groups. They dont fight over spoils, they simply move onto the nearest living thing they can find. They are very short-tempered, and an angry monster who understands nothing but violence is a truly terrible thing. Frightful Presence (Ex): Whenever an opponent is within 30 foot of a Wulferexi, they must make a Will save (DC 20) or become panicked for the next 5d6 rounds. This ability affects only opponents with fewer Hit Dice than the Wulferexi has. An opponent that succeeds on the saving throw is immune to that same Wulferexi's frightful presence for 24 hours. Frightful presence is a mind-affecting fear effect. Primal Roar (Su): A Wulferexi can realease a cacophonous roar that strains its feral mind and boils its blood. A Wulferexi can effectively rage as a level 15 Barbarian. It gains +6 bonus to Strength and Constitution, +3 morale bonus to will saves, but its AC suffers a penalty of -2 for 8 rounds. Unlike a normal barbarian however a Wulferexi is never fatigued after a rage and its speed increases to 80 foot (16 squares), but it cannot stop once until the end of the rages duration. It can do this 5 times day and because it constantly howling and screaming whilst in this state, any opponent within 30 foot of the Wulferexi suffers -2 penalty to Concentration and Listen checks. Smell Your Fear (Su): When a Wulferexi uses its scent ability to locate a single opponent, it may choose to concentrate its efforts on it. As a free-action it gains a temporary +10 to any trail it's chosen victim leaves behind. The effect can only end if the Wulferexi decides to stop (again a free-action) or if an enchantment spell of level 8 or higher is sucessfully cast upon them. Absorb Color (Su): Everything within 100 foot of an Wulferexi's loses its color, similar to how a Dwarve see's when using Darkvision. Other than making colors harder to discern, this affects nothing. Color Bane (Su): If an opponent use's the spell colorspray through any means (eg. being a spellcaster, through a scroll or a supernatural ability) any Wulferexi within 30 feet suffers 2d10+ spellcasters level damage. SHADOROXI Medium Aberration Hit Dice: 10d8+50 (95 hp) Initiative: +6 (+6 Dex) Speed: 40 ft. (8 squares), climb 40 ft. (8 squares) Armor Class: 22 (+6 Dex, +6 natural), touch 16, flat-footed 16 Base Attack/Grapple: +7/+11 Attack: Shortsword +11 melee (1d6 +4) Full Attack: Shortsword +11/+6/+1 melee (1d6 +4), Kama +11/+6/+1 melee (1d6 +4) Space/Reach: 5 ft./5 ft. Special Attacks: Frightful presence, psionics Special Qualities: Darkvision 60ft., telepathy, unhindered by gravity, absorb colour, fear the spectrum, detect thoughts, guarded thoughts Saves: Fort +8, Ref +9, Will +12 Abilities: Str 19, Dex 22, Con 20, Int 19, Wis 20, Cha 22 Skills: Balance +16, Bluff +16, Climb +14, Escape Artist +16, Intimidate +16, Jump +14, Listen +5, Sense Motive +15, Spot +5 Feats: Combat Expertise, Exotic Weapon Proficiency, Improved Unarmed Strike, Stunning Fist Environment: Any land or underground Organization: Solitary, Murder (1 plus 2 Apherexi) Ambush (1 plus 2-5 Apherexi), or Massacre (1-5 plus 5-20 Apherexi and 5-10 Wulferexi) ________________________________________ ___________________ Challenge Rating: 14 Treasure: Standard Alignment: Always chaotic evil Advancement: 11-20 HD (Medium); 21-30 HD (Medium) Level Adjustment: - Emerging from shadows a humanoid who was hanging of the wall falls with unnatural and obscene slowness, its feet gently stepping down the vertical surface. As it descends all the colours around you fade into a disturbing shade of grey. It lands softly without a sound and its form is revealed. A man in very well-presented formal clothing stands before you, seemingly normal except for his highly shadowed face. Infact you cant see it behind the intense darkness, but then it opens its mouth which seems to conceal a dim, grey light that flare up its sharp fangs. It wields a small katana in one hand, and a curved exotic blade in the other. You then hear a voice inside your minds... "the rivers will run red with your mortality"... If there is one species that are the undisputed leaders of the Apheraxi and Wulferexi then it is the Shadoroxi. Standing amongst a pack of those two monsters, they only look vaguely sinister. However the Shadoroxi show an intelligence and personality that the Apheraxi and Wulferexi wouldn't even be capable of. Shadoroxi have the ability to absorb the colour from their surroundings. Many sages believe they are from a universe of terror, perhaps inhabitants of a particulary vile layer of the Far Realms. It is widely believed that they can only exist in a black and white world, as they hate colours just as much as their lesser brethren. Those who have survived their attacks have claimed that magical colors frighten and disorientate Shadoroxi, but unlike the Apheraxi and Wulferexi they dont sem to be harmed by them. Another disturbing feature they posess are their abilities to speak, albeit through telepathic means. There are many reports of Shadoroxi pushing obscene images and words into their victims minds. Even those that survive find it difficult to destroy the memories they were burdened with. Shadoroxi seem to be far more calculating and manipulative than their relatives, but like them their main overriding goal is the destruction of all life they come across, it Shadoroxi are just crueler and more artistic in their methods of killing. They are also paragons of scaling vertical or steep surfaces, running up walls but barely landing a single fingle or toe upon it. If they fall or jump of a wall, they descend as though they were sinking in water. The only colour the Shadoroxi aren't frightened of is blood red, the crimson river that runs through us all. In their world it is the only natural color that shows. Their inhumanly ingenious minds and martial expertise leave nothing but a path of destruction, far worse than what the Apheraxi and Wulferexi could achieve alone. Shadoroxi do not speak physically, though they understand Common and seem to be able to communicate with the Apheraxi and Wulferexi. COMBAT Shadoroxi prefer to invent diabolical shemes and truly horrific acts of holocaust through rigourous planning, if forced into a fight however they would never hesitate to utilize their psionic powers and vicous fighting skills. Frightful Presence (Ex): Whenever an opponent is within 30 foot of a Shadoroxi, they must make a Will save (DC 18) or become panicked for the next 5d6 rounds. This ability affects only opponents with fewer Hit Dice than the Shadoroxi has. An opponent that succeeds on the saving throw is immune to that same Shadoroxi's frightful presence for 24 hours. Frightful presence is a mind-affecting fear effect. Psionics (Sp): At will- aversion, biofeedback, body adjustment, burst, combat precognition, demoralize, hammer and recall pain. These abilities are as the powers mannifested by a 10th level psion. Attack/Defense modes (Sp): At will- Ego Whip, Mind Thrust/Mental Barrier, Thought Shield. Telepathy (Su): Shadoroxi can communicate telepathically with any creature within a 100 feet that has a language. Infact this is the only way Shadoroxi can communicate with other intelligent beings. Detect Thoughts (Su): A Shadoroxi can continuously detect thoughts as the spell cast by a 9th level sorceror (DC 15). This ability is always active. Guarded Thoughts (Ex): Shadoroxi are immune to any form of mind reading. Unhindered By Gravity (Su): Whenever a Shadoroxi use's its climb movement, it gains a temporary +10 bonus to dexterity. Also its body is under a constant feather fall effect with personal range, even whenit isn't climbing. Absorb Color (Su): Everything within 100 foot of a Shadoroxi loses its color, similar to how a Dwarve see's when using Darkvision. Other than making colors harder to discern, this affects nothing. Fear The Spectrum (Ex): If an opponent use's the spell colorspray through any means (eg. being a spellcaster, through a scroll or a supernatural ability) any Shadoroxi within 30 feet must make a will save (DC 22) or suffer a -2 morale penalty to all saving throws, attack rolls, and skill checks for the duration of the spell. |

| The Ethereal Wickerman02-18-05, 05:10 AM | Thanks zenos... :D Here is a new idea i've had, but i'm not sure wether to make them an Elemental or Outsider... Sin Summons These creatures are physical mannifestations of the seven deadly sins. There very existence is merely to propagate their base instincts. They're are many subraces amongst each sin, each specializing in various methods of debuachery and savagery. Glutton Summons: These creatures live only to devour everything and everyone they find, to fill their lungs and blood with unhealthy conconctions, and generally live in feral excess. They tend to look like hulking only vaguely humanoid beings whose skin in pale and greasy. They're faces are red from a lifetime of devouring raw meat and their hands filthy from all the offal they partake in. Their eyes are wide unblinking and bloodshot, and their mouths ever twisted into a false smile until they open their unnaturally huge maws. Wrath Summons: These creatures exist only to lash out at the world in spiteful anger, unjustified in their killing sprees other than their undying hatred of everything. They tend to look like feral humanoids with very animalistic features, though these features have clearly not come from any normal plane of existence. They might have fangs, tusks, digigrade legs, claws and wild red or white eyes. Some like carrying vicous weapons in battle, though the most rabid among them rarely bother. Sloth Summons: These accidious creatures see no point to anything, they simply want everyone to wallow in the same self-pity and undeserved mourning of existence that they commit constantly. These creatures seem to have no color about their beings, hence they look like black and white surreal ghosts. They tend to keep their faces obscured with long hair, bizarre masks or even just their bleeding hands. They wear clothes that are alarmingly familiar to the fashions of the material plane. Envy Summons: These almost fey-like beings exist only to spread their malicous spite and jealousy. They can be best described as solid shadows. Many look like children weaving in and out of their surroundings, though a few grow much larger. Physically they aren't the most diverse of the Sin Summons, and despite size differances they all have throbbing, glowing green eyes. Lust Summons: The most beautiful of the Sin Summons, these creatures exist only to partake in acts of unrestrained carnality and ecstasy. They can be best described as a cross between demons and fey, they have the unnatural anatomical forms of fiends, but the unearthly beauty and sexuality of fey-beings. They all have ivory-white skin that may be tinted lilac, cyan or another pale, gentle colour. Though they look like unnaturally attractive humanoids, many have devil-like horns, very long elaborate hair, or are taurics with snake or insect-like lower bodies. Thats it for the moment, I would appreciate some help with the Pride and Greed Summons. Perhaps the Greed Summons could be a far more industrial-looking Inevitable like race made of gold, rough metal and sometimes precious stones. I've had an idea about the Pride Summons to be a sort of corrupted but still celestial races of Angels. |
| thasis02-18-05, 11:48 AM | I've been looking for something like this for a long time. I'm so in. For the above creature I would have to say elemental cause it represents pure evil at it's core. It could come from the elemental plane of evil. << >>. Or not. It's up ta ya. |

It may a week or two before I get any stats up of course, so dont hold you breath yet. When I find the time however i'll start with the Glutton Summons... :D |
| thasis02-19-05, 12:13 PM | Hmmm... time to get in a creative mood. *Searches brain for vile creations* |
| grimclaw02-19-05, 03:51 PM | I have a few creatures, like a sentient spell book that devours the mind of mages, mirror wraiths etc. Maybe I'll find the time to post some stats. P.s.-if you dont think the spellbook is horrific then youve never played a mage  oh yea and spirits that drink life energy but look like innocent lost children :weep: |

P.s.-if you dont think the spellbook is horrific then youve never played a mage oh yea and spirits that drink life energy but look like innocent lost children They sound like very cool ideas. I think anything can be scary if described correctly. If you were to tell me that 'the spiky book suddenly turned into a mass of green tentacles that starts to SUCK YOUR FACE!', i'd probably just laugh. However if you said something along the lines of 'the book your holding suddenly twicthes in your hands, and rips open into a seething mass of sinew and screeching pseudopods' then I would be scared, but of course its open to interpretation. Would you like to be a member?... :D |
| thasis02-20-05, 02:49 PM | I so want to be a member. This is such a awsome guild. I have a awsome creature in my messy workshop of design (my desk in my room). It's called the Zshibit. Here's a little preview... You see a a fightning creature who has great large bat wings and a body made of gibbering mouths with sharp teeth. oOn his front he has one largesharp beak that looks like it could kill a mortal man. Underneath his belly he has two large talons that could shred a man easily. (This hasn't been spell-checked yet) So far thats my descriptive text. I have my stats worked out to but I'll save that for later. It's almost done though. I'll post a link to it here when I finish it and post it. |

| The Ethereal Wickerman02-21-05, 09:40 AM | I haven't created any stats yet. I prefer to create the descriptions otherwise I tend to rush the flavour text, which is my favourite part of monster creation. I'm definitely going to need a Plane for them to reside in, suggestions for names would be appreciated. All I know is that this plane will have 7 layers and a vague idea on what they'll look like. GLUTTON SUMMONS Gormandi: These ogre-sized beings are as repulsive as they alarmingly strong. They have huge corpulent bodies that look as they're stump, blackened legs can barely carry their hulking frames. Their skin is jaundice, pale grey and covered in weeping sores, scabs and greasy sweat. Veins can be seen straining in their massive elephantine bellies as the reek of decomposing vegetables, rotting meat and acidity emanates from their presence. Their arms are long and wide, dragging along the floor until the creatures raise their filthy, huge hands that end with brittle and discoloured claws. Their head is by far the smallest part of their body, resting between its stooped shoulders poking out from many fat-filled chins. It is reddened and seemingly bloody, yet despite its over disgusting form its face is almost comical, but in an entirely unnatural and warped way. Its eyes and wide open, yellow and bloodshot. They never seem to blink as they swivel around slowly in their sockets, never directly looking at anything. Their most horrible feature however is their mouth which is fixed into a permanent toothy grin, until it wants to eat that is whereupon it seems to dislocate its jaws with pain allowing to shallow just about anything. For some bizarre reason they are missing a nose, some sages believe this is because of their horrific stench they and their homeland are permeated with. They tend to think of nothing other than eating as they are beings of relentless hunger, they don’t even drink or sleep. Despite their stupidity and lack of a real personality they are surprisingly alert, and quick to act whenever they think a food source is around. 'Food' sources basically include just about anything that isn't another Glutton Summons, but even they are prone to acts of cannibalism for no reason other than one noticed another of their kin could be eaten. Their voices sound like cacophonous noises from the bowels of their rancid stomachs, like a demonic digestive expulsion. They are said to be the elemental manifestation of relentless hunger and unnecessary amounts of physical consumption. Smogmi: One of the smaller Gormandi, this skinny and bony creature has dried out dirty skin and a bent, atrophied body. Its legs dangle uselessly below it and it can only raise its overlong skeletal arms when forced to defend itself. It makes for this lack of mobility by having a huge smoke-filled bladder on top of its head and back. This bladder is basically a collection of veiny skin bubbles placed haphardzly above it. Trails of airy dead skin wave gently around this bladder. Like the Gormandi they have no nose, so their three mouths placed randomly over the lower half of their face open and close like a fish in out of water breathing its last breaths. They have one alarmingly human eye amongst the sinewy mess that is their face, placed randomly on the upper half of it. This thing desires to inhale smoke, so it enjoys setting fires in order to get this precious gas for its consumption. It can taste the difference of different materials being burnt, and it prefers the taste of charred organic flesh. If it badly losing a fight it can belch forth a smoking cloud of thick, black smoke that it stores in its bladder. Their voices sound like a humanoid choking and breathing their last smoke-filled breaths. They are said to be an elemental manifestation of the death-dealing drugs that a life of luxury brings. Dipsomi: These creature just looks like a oozing, steaming pile of slimy flesh topped with a large skull-like head. Its body is by far the most disgusting of the Glutton Summons. Its skin is pink and pale, reflecting wet raw meat in appearance and texture. Veins throb and muscles flex and twist visibly under its skin. Though it head is described as skull like in shape, two weeping, blank opalescent orbs fill its eye sockets and its lipless mouth constantly drools acrid bile and syrupy, chunky liquids. When it opens its unnaturally wide mouth a set of fleshy worm-like tubes erupts from its mouth it slurp up any liquid it can find. Its body reeks of old dirty water, fermenting alcohol and sweaty, stinking flesh. Those who assume that this beast because of its form is a slow immobile beast are severely mistaken. If it so wishes 4 legs which vaguely resemble bloody, meat-covered ribs can erupt from its underside and lift its corpulent bulk from place to place. They're only desire is to drain everyone and everything around them of liquids be it water, alcohol or even blood. They are among the most animalistic of the Glutton Summons, and many Dipsomi are avoided even by they're own kind. Their voice sounds a throat full of fresh blood, gurgling their words in a disgusting dying din. They are the elemental manifestations of the over excessive pleasure of devouring liquids. Retchi: Easily one of the more disturbing Glutton Summons, perhaps because are somewhat recognizable to dwellers of the material plane. These beings like beholders can fly and are naturally buoyant in the air, though these creatures are a lot bigger than those beings, and far more terrifying. It is basically a huge flying face of an unshaven, unhealthy and thoroughly evil Human. Its eyes are unblinking, dark and bloodshot and seem totally unfocused on anything. Its mouth forms an obscene wide grin showing of its sharp, rotting teeth. Their skin can range from tanned to deathly pale, though they always have a mild hint to their skin. They reek of vomit and bile, and the reason for this is clear when they open their mouths. They're eyes roll back into they're head whenever they are about to open their huge maw. Their jaws dislocate violently making a vile snapping noise as they do, and suddenly a torrent of black vomit, blood and a half-melted human limbs erupts from their mouth, a mass far to large for a creature of its apparent size to contain. These limbs thrash around as a huge steaming pseudopod washing in its own bile, attempting to absorb anyone and anything in its path. Then as quickly as it came out, a Rethchi can swallow this disgusting mass in a few moments. Their voices sound like a demonic titan vomiting out its words, this is even more disturbing by the fact that they never open they're mouths to talk. They are the elemental manifestation of the perverse pleasure of overeating purposefully to achieve states of sickness. Thats all my ideas for the Glutton Summons for now. Next time i'm here i'll post my ideas for Wrath Summons. |

It stands around 12 feet tall and bent slightly forward, with a thick lizard's body whoms texture and color change with its moods, of which it only seems to have two; cold and emotionless or burning rage. When calm the skin is smooth and leathery, of a deep, dark orange, almost umber hue. When agitated the skin takes on a vibrant red and writhing, prehensile spines erupt from pores all about its body. It has two neckless, crocodilian heads that face away from one another and are devoid of eyes. The heads have no throat or windpipe, its mouth filled only with jagged teeth. It is supported by two thick, curved legs, alike to an iguanas, with four long, taloned toes and a fifth coming from the heel for grasping. Sprouting from its back is a bush of gigantic, twitching yellow leaves amidst a jumbled collection of crystaline protrusions enscribed with symbols or runes. -- M'tu Disciples are the mental creations of the god of aberrations and mixed-breeds, such as Couatls and Hippogriffs. They serve as messangers and servers of retribution to their god M'tu. Combat: M'tu disciples are slow to anger, but if pushed sufficiently they boil over with homicidal rage. They use a devastingly affective combination of mental and magical might to defeat their foes. Crystal Proseltye: A M'tu Disciple's crystalline structure is from having the equivalent ranks of a level 3 Crystal Proselyte and gain the Countertone and Crystal Blaze abilities. Countertone (Ps): A M'tu Disciple can emit a countertone as a swift action at will. During each round the countertone sounds, any characters and creatures within 30 feet who are affected by sonic or language dependent psionic or magical attacks (such as sound burst or command) gain another saving throw to resist. Crystal Blaze (Ex): Up to three times per day a M'tu Disciple may illuminate its crystaline portions with a dazzling, unnerving light. A crystal blaze is a standard action that affects any creature that can see within 60 feet. All unprepared creatures in the radius must suceed at a DC 21 Fortitude save or become blinded and discomfitted. The blindness and discomfiture last for 10 minutes. Discomfitted creatures suffer a -2 morale and penalty on all attack rolls, damage rolls, and saving throws. Dreamborn: A Disciple of M'tu is created into existence by the dreams of the god M'tu. Dreamborn creatures appear hazy and out of focus, such that all melee and ranged attacks against a Dreamborn creature are assessed a 20 percent miss chance. This 20-percent miss chance is not the same as concealment and does not preclude the possibility of effective sneak attacks. Gripping Spines (Ex): When angered a Disciple of M'tu sprouds prehensile spines which adds a +4 bonus to their checks to grapple. Psionics: At will/Call to Mind, Catfall, Detect Psionics, Know Direction and Location, Metaconcert 1/round Mindthrust 3/day Form of Doom, Psionic Lion's Charge 1/day Timeless Body, Ultrablast Rage (Ex): A M'tu Disciple may fly into a rage three times per day as a Barbarian. Spell-like Abilities: At will/Detect Magic, Erase, Identify, Prestidigitation, Sleep 1/round Color Spray 3/day Expeditious Retreat 1/day Statue, Symbol of Fear, Symbol of Sleep Symbiosis (Ex): The plant-like being upon the backs of M'tu Disciples form a symbiotic relationship, supplying energy and additional oxygen to the disciples while being protected from harm. These plants filter out harmful airborn poisons and diseases. They are intricately fused with the well being of the Disciples and take harm as if one. Telepathy (Ps): A Disciple of M'tu can use telepathy to communicate in a 60 ft. radius. Skills: A Disciple of M'tu gains a +10 racial bonus to jump checks. |

| The Ethereal Wickerman02-23-05, 08:03 AM | WRATH SUMMONS Ravagak: These tall, muscular humanoids have pale, scarred skin and very animalistic features. They're legs are digigrade and canine in appearance, ending with 3-toed clawed feet. They're strong hands end with dirty blackened claws and their mouths are lipless, full of jagged sharp pin-like teeth. They tend to have long, straight dirty hair that ranges from white, grey, red and black. Elder males of their kind tend to have long scraggy beards, and reach troll-like like heights if they manage to survive that long in their harsh, feral society. They stand with a slight stoop, and deep red scars taper off under their eyes and mouths. These creatures have no nose, but they have pointed snake-like tongue that occasionally flickers in and out. Perhaps they're most disturbing features are their wide unblinking eyes, which start of opalescent and white. However whenever a Ravagak enters a fight (which they live for and love) their once empty eyeballs flush crimson as they prepare to let out their guttural battle cries. Being one of the more intelligent of the Wrath Summons, they favour the use of composite bows, elaborate swords and heavy bludgeoning weapons. Their voices are strangely eloquent, but an underlying gravely tone permeates it like a growling animal. They are said to be elemental manifestation of the sadistic power-hungry love of war, and the desire to propagate violence wherever one treads. Despotak: Though these beings are humanoid, they seem to spend to whole life’s walking on all 4 limbs and have no difficulty doing so. Males are one of the larger and longer limbed of the Wrath Summons, elder males of their species can reach massive proportions. Their are surprisingly human in appearance, though their skin seems to be tinted red as though sunburnt. Their eyes like the Ravagak are white, though in the centre there is a pale red iris and pupil. These creatures have huge hands, ending with barbed long claws. Along their arms, legs, backs and necks are vicious bony spikes that all curve in the same direction giving the Despotak a sleek, bladed appearance. Perhaps their oddest feature though is they're somewhat large faces. The males foreheads are hard and horned like a dinosaurs crest, though the far smaller females only have small pair of antler-like horns. Both genders have a spiny bat-like nose. Females tend to live in constant fear and debasement in Despotak society, though there are a few females who completely shatter this preconception. These creatures attack anyone and raid anywhere, and love to see the terror on their victims faces before they kill them. These creatures are among the most cowardly, but in retrospect one of the smartest of the Wrath Summons They wear the most clothes and they tend to shave off the sides of their otherwise long, braided unwashed hair which ranges in colour from brown, grey and black. They prefer the use of crossbows, spears and other nasty implements that keep them and their opponents the furthest distance from themselves. However when a Despotak has a defenceless victim in their sight, they enjoy prolonging their suffering with smaller and less-deadly weapons like daggers. Their voices are sharp, loud and harsh like a cross between a huge snake, a hissing big cat and humanoid thug. They are elemental manifestation of the desire to sate ones basest, cruellest needs amongst a time of violence. Endurak: These are one of the shorter-statured and more primitive of the Wrath Summons. Standing a head shorter than a Human and a head taller than a Dwarf, these creatures have a similar anthropomorphic disposition of the Ravagak. These creatures paint their hairless red-tinted hides blue, purple and other dark night-like colours. Erupting from the back of their heads, necks and backs is a mass of porcupine-like spines which range from orange, brown, red and even magenta. These creatures also have a thick, dark crocodilian tail that tapers off from the bottom of their spines. Their facial features are strangely elven, though it is slightly elongated like a canine. They have wide pink or red eyes and pointed dog-like nose. Among the Wrath Summons they tend to wear the least clothes, and very few Endurak have ever wore armour. They make for being unprotected by being very agile and quick on their 3-toed feet. Their level of technology is somewhat low, so they tend to use javelins, stone axes and blow darts in combat. Their voices sound like the feral yowling of pack animals underlined with a recognizably savage humanoid speech of some obscure, backwater tribe. They are the elemental manifestation of a primitive intelligence whose only desire is to kill of all that it considers a threat to its safety, despite the perfect balance of nature. Havak: One of the most animalistic and violent of the Wrath Summons, it is ironically one of the most humanoid of the Wrath Summons. Unlike like many of the Wrath Summons it can stand up entirely straight. It is very tall and somewhat slim, and despite its huge humanoid physique it has digigrade legs. Its body tends to be dark grey or brown, though its hands and face are bright red. A long bony blade protrudes from the top of each wrist, reaching about the same length as an ogres height. Its red face is very bizarre, it can only really be explained as an alligators head whose mouth opens vertically (so that it has a left and right jaw opposed to a lower and upper jaw) revealing a set of writhing shark-like teeth. It has 6 dirty white eyes, 3 on each side of its elongated reptilian face. From the back of its head about 10 to 15 hairy tentacles writhe like worms. Unlike the other Wrath Summons it wears no clothes and doesn't have the intelligence to wield any weapon more complicated than a club, though having a weapon is rarely any concern to a creature that is twice the height of a Troll. Despite its lack of intelligence it has somewhat limited use of speech, and its voice sounds like a a dozen barbarians all screaming at once, accompanied by gurgling and violent snapping noises. They are the elemental manifestation of merciless destruction, the pure and simple desire to tear apart everything (living or otherwise) in ones sights. |

| FriendOfReligion04-25-05, 02:22 PM | I, Jamallo Kreen, Friend of religion, must step aside as my friend, Pyotr van App, the Chirurgeon takes up the quill of far writing... Is It here? The legendary Book of Bone and Blood, the manual which the shunned caste of Soulforgers uses to create life? Can it be found here? What price will you exact to let me copy it, if it is here? If not, where may I go to obtain it. You people have given me my first clue that it is more than a legend. I must seek it out! I must! Strong body. Strong mind. Strong mind in strong body. Strong mind. Strong body. It has secrets which I must know! Where is it?! :coolcthul |
