| Frostbite_Ravenheart11-20-03, 11:16 PM | This is not ment to be one of the old run-of-a-mill foundations. This foundations will have NO leaders. No high this no high that...I invite everyone to join me and my outlaw band and be as equals, as one. For now NO RPING and follow the CoC rules, however this foundations shall be dedicated to persuading the wizos to change those rules however we shall NOT act out against them. So, what is this foundation about?: This foundation is for defiants and rebels to gather under one roof and talk about tactics and make outlaw characters who run from the law. This is a fooundation for all of those characters that have a passion for leading a rebelion, or that just cant seem to "understand" the laws of civilization. Who will be alloud in it?: Everyone from heroic paladins leading great rebelions against half-demon half-orc tyrants to those simple theives outlawed from brutal countrys that even for all there brutallity dont being in killing there own. Why I made this foundation?: I made this foundation for two reasons 1) The rebel/outlaw hero is my favorit archtype and 2) This will be a courrpt free foundation for all those having "foundation" trouble to beable to be part of a community foundation without the hassle of "Whos the high this and who will lead and what do we do about the CoC". As much as were dedicated to trying to change it and we shall give our full support to any foundation that is...we shall abide by them down to the last letter, just so there is at least one controversal free foundation. So post away, telling stories about your outlaw heros and asking us about how to plan a rebelion. I belive that all outlaw tactics like guerrlia warfare can be talked about here too. (BTW there will be no # and I will only have the peoples name listed on this page and WILL NOT repeat it for fear of violating the code). |

| Frostbite_Ravenheart11-20-03, 11:22 PM | Originally posted by q'afuu And what is this doing on the Classes board, pray tell? Beacuse Outlaws and Rebels are a character "Arch-Type" which is like a PrC but dosent grant any bounus and the classes section I belive is the best place to put it lest a wizo move it? |

| kedi04-15-04, 01:34 PM | >Ahh, there comes the rebel! Something stuck on my mind: goods see evil immoral and loath them. Evils see good as foolish and loath them. Lawful people and chaotic people do not always fight , they just don't fancy each other, while evil and good is almost the same thing and law and chaos is totally opposite. Why? |
| JohnSnow04-15-04, 02:41 PM | First...cool foundation idea. The outlaw is the most enduring hero archetype in fiction. From Ali Babba, Aladdin and Robin Hood to the Dukes of Hazard, the A-Team and Han Solo. Great idea... Okay, on to the question. Originally posted by kedi Lawful people and chaotic people do not always fight , they just don't fancy each other, while evil and good is almost the same thing and law and chaos is totally opposite. Why? I'll take a stab at answering this one. Generally speaking, that discrepancy matters more or less depending on the MORAL alignment of the individuals in question. Lawful Good and Chaotic Good recognize that each is working for the greater good, it's just a question of methods. That's not to say there won't be disagreements, but the characters are capable of finding common MORAL ground, and thus mostly getting along (mostly). On the other hand, Lawful Neutral and Chaotic Neutral are going to get along rather poorly. See, the LN feels that everybody should behave according to a set pattern of behavior, preferably one that everybody agrees on. The CN character hates restrictions and will do what he damn well pleases (without intentionally harming others). A CN character might be a thief, the LN the constable who throws him in jail. With evil, it gets even more extreme. A Lawful Evil character EXPECTS people to obey his code, and he'll happily kill anyone who disagrees (if he can get away with it). Yes, that means good characters and neutral ones, but also CE ones. However, a LE villain will probably have some CE henchmen around to do his dirty work. This is the classic villain who will make requests for people to be dead, but wouldn't kill them himself as that's "against the law." On the other hand, he might decide they deserved death for relatively minor offenses. Actually, a LE society would probably have a lot of very SEVERE penalties. Death for minor offenses might be common, for instance. (Killing the King's deer anyone?) When you combine the alignments, you get some VERY severe antagonistic reactions. CE's hate LG authorities for example. And CG's think Lawful Evil authorities need to be brought down for the greater good. |

Avas better than you? ;) :D - the annoying bard No its beacuse I'm hes brown (:) Damned Sun Elves) ---- Wow I forgot about this foundation... Anyways the best Race in my opinion is probably well trained halflings. Small, Stealthy, Agile and Smart. Elves too maby but Guerrila warfare is about striking fast and hard with little money or friends. Elves seem to have all these things :P. -Frosty |
| Silmarien Aldalome04-18-04, 02:40 AM | Greetings Rebels & Rebelettes. Kedster - I'll post some IC stuff - but correct me if I'm out of order (see opening post - but it was cut Pre-The-Guild-House) [i]...Sil-Rebel-ian - wears and eye patch and has matted, tangled silver-blonde hair. She wears well-fitted black hides - hand-sewn and skin tight. By her side - the metal-shod Runestaff gleams in the firelight. She studies the rag-tag group of disenfranchised rebels. Her brow furroughs as she tosses a rabbit carcass on the fire. "mm, that was good." she rasps as she wipes her mouth with the back of her hand - with clear disrespect for civilised table-manners. She grins as she sees Frosty take on Bait the Bard - and slaps Bait on the back. She says: - "I hear all the snooty Elves are gathering - with Dwarves no less - and Dragons - at a Great Council. Sounds to me like we should do some speakin' on our own behalf. Whatdya say fellas" She grins again as she takes a swig of ale - tossing some more wood on the fire. |
| malik2106-20-04, 05:50 PM | Malik- Walks in and meets everyones stares with a mischievous smile.'Look at these low-lifes.Not one of them would have a high bounty.' He has blonde messy hair and is wearing a white coat with red stains. His eyes are constantly changing color from blue to green to brown and a dagger made of pure silver is lazily hanging out of his pocket. He bumps into Sil-Rebel-ian and steals a few gold pieces from her pocket."Lady, Watch it,"he says casualy. |
| Frostbite_Ravenheart06-23-04, 12:43 PM | Frosty walks to the highest and centermost point in the room. "Welcome Gentlemen, Ladys, Pirates, Thieves, Assassins, Rebels, Outlaws, Crooks and Conartists! This is the first meeting of those who live outside the comfort, Protection and courrption of the law. What shall we discuss? -Frosty |
